EMUI 5 -- Root/Xposed - Huawei P9 Plus Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
since I'm still on EMUI 4, mainly for compatibility reasons, I wanted to ask how well the following things are doing on EMUI 5 and thus making it worth an upgrade.
Is there full root for EMUI 5 yet?
Which version, if any, of XPOSED is working?
Is Viper4Android working properly?

I have installed Magisk v13.3 without problem with this version of twrp , busybox from play store dosen't work, i have installed this version via twrp : busybox

Problem with installing Xposed on Huawei Honor 3C (Android 4.4.2)

Hi there,
I have a rooted Huawei honor 3c (android 4.4.2, build 310, Emotion UI 3.0)
I've tried to install xposed many times, but not succeed. I'd xposed installed before updating to android 4.4.2.
I've tried classical and recovery mode and installed the provided zip file through TWRP recovery, but every time I open xposed, I see the red error message saying:
"There seems to be a known issue ("Resources subclass") with your ROM. Installing Xposed might not work or lead to severe problems. Click here for details about this issue"
Is there any way to install xposed on my phone?

Xposed for P9: which version actually works?

Hello everyone. I own an Eva L09C432B182, I kept it fully stock for a couple of months and today I finally decided to root it and install xposed. While unlocking bootloader, installing TWRP and flashing SuperSu 2.79 went flawlessly, I completely failed getting Xposed working. Or at least, almost all the modules I tried don't work. And the theme engine is also broken.
Now, as the title says, which version and which installation procedure actually works? I tried the latest version of standard Xposed by Rovo, the one modded by Wanam, and Magisk. The first two install correctly but modules don't work, while Magisk gives an error while installing so I didn't go further with it.
Modules I have tried that DO NOT work:
-youtube background playback
-youtube ads blocked
-no lock home
-min min guard
I consider myself very lucky not to have ended up in a bootloop or in a brick thus far. Before doing anything stupid or giving up, your help is more than welcome.

Otg function on new 7.0 emui 5.0 nem-l21

Hello if some can help i will be very glad. Before 2 mounth i buy the Honor 5c/7 lite. Before 2 week i sayd to my self f*** the warranty i will root and play with the software , i have some experience in rooting and rom installation and changes from my old phones but i never try to do a own rom and app , so i need help for my problem. So the problem is the otg support that we honor ussers have when we are rooted. I install 7.0 software and i succesly root it i install the xml files by TRWP and the apk , but for the app u need superSu version 2.65 and on 7.0 u can root maybe only with 2.79 and my question is if someone can manage the app to compile with 2.79 su or can tell me if i can root with 2.65 cuz most apps used old su versions.

xPosed Framework on Oreo?

Hello friends,
yesterday I have bought the P10 and I have now received the Oreo update. So my question is: Is it possible to install xposed framework on this phone? If yes, is there a guide topic for how to do it? Thanks for your answers.
I didn't try it myself, but I read quite a few reports of attempts to install xposed on a P10 that bricked the device and no reports of successful installs. So be careful and do additional research if no one else reports here.
I have tried through Magisk but after reboot ohone gets into bootloop and had to be reflashed.
Hello,
try one of this both versions.
1. https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...14&postcount=3
2. https://forum.xda-developers.com/hua...t3810095/page2
1. link works fine at my Huawei P10 VTR-L09-C432B375 (8.0.0 375 (C432))
I have never had any problems with xposed, i have always used magisk to install it aswell.
Gravitybox works fine.
However gravitybox isn't really needed as I'm currently on android 8.1, runnig openkirin's ressurection remix (beta 2)
But modules like snapintercept and such works like a charm.

DEADLOCK - Xposed 3.1.5 doesn't help to root my device

Hi, I am using Samsung C9 Pro (SM-C9000) and I am on Nougat 7.1.1 (SDK 25). I need to root my device and use some xposed modules. As per advise in xda-developers I installed xposed 3.1.5. When i opened xposed it said xposed framework is not installed and suggested version 89. I tried both install and install via recovery. It keeps saying "Failed to get root access. Make sure your device is rooted properly and you have not blocked shell commands."
Now wondering what to do for this. Because I am installed xposed to root my device. But xposed itself is saying me "make sure your device is rooted properly". Its a deadlock. Also I tried iRoot, King Root, Root master, and various other root APKs and nothing worked so far. Need help to either root my device (with a verified solution for Nougat 7.1.1 - SDK 25) or to successfully install xposed framework/modules for rooting. Please throw in ireas for some verified and working solutions for Nougat 7.1.1. Thank you very much in advance
first of all.
Xposed can't root your device. It's a framework that need root to install.
second... you might need to read as much as you can in your device forum about how to root your phone.
If you still trying like this (without trying to read carefully) it'll lead you to brick your phone.
Hopes this clarify something.
