Search around here, I've seen some mod, that works only on lollipop, it was involving only minor changes to the build.prop, I think you needed to change the device model.
The functionality is there, but disabled on the 1st gen.

In build.prop edit the line "ro.product.name" and change "ghost" for "victara".
Example: ro.product.name=ghost_retail --> ro.product.name=victara_retail

Cool, thanks!
Is there any side effect in editing the model name or is it safe to do?

No side effects really, almost nothing uses that line.

Wow, I saw a repair video on youtube now and Im amazed!!!
This is the first moto phone I have seen with an embedded speaker.
I saw it and I still can believe it.
I will try to take care of mine now for not having any problem with the speaker in the future.

The is a well known and widely reported bug with no universal fix. Search for "lollipop cell standby" and you should be able to find a number of suggestions for things to try to get your battery to die less quickly.
Ok, thank very much!
