Huawei P9 plus. HELP! IN NEED FOR RECOVERY MASTERS. - Huawei P9 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi, I have a Huawei p9 Plus VIE-L29.
I am not able to flash any custom roms or the stock roms.
Im still able to gain access to TWRP Recovery.
BUT, whenever i tried to flash a firmware or rom.
The log shows this,
Could not find 'META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary' in the zip file.
Error installing zip file'/usbotg/
P9PlusFirmwareAndroid6.0.zip'
Updating partition details...
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid Argument)
Failed to mount '/system' (Operation not supported on transport endpoint)
...done
Really hope someone can help me out! Much is appreciated!

I think you installed wrong version of twrp.
If you have nougat, you must flash twrp for nougat but if you have marshmallow you must flash twrp for MM

mmmm.... TWRP web site only have 3 versions there for p9 plus.. I think 3.0.2 above support Nougat?

why a closed group on telegram?
telegram do not work via webbrowser, this is not good.
@ all the guys here. i also would be interested in a fully working twrp. not having telegram it would be nice to read some news at this forum.

Plz let me know is it working for you or not.
It's fully working for me except reboot option. Need to manually switch on ur phone
did you compile it by yourself? did not try yet
my device DUK-L09(C432)
your version (2018-10-04) is more useful, than the other twrp-roms which i tested.
- MTP works (yay)
- can read decrypted data
- can flash images (recovery)
errors:
('/system' is stock, '/data' is decrypted, saving to internal storage)
failed to unmount '/system' (device or resource busy)
E:unable to load '/twres/languages/de.xml'
testing backup:
backing up data (excl. storage)
createTarFork() process endet with ERROR: 255
Backup failed. cleaning backup folder
(failed backup folder was not cleaned..., 'folder' & 'data' are still there)
testing restore:
failed to unmount '/system' (device or resource busy)
something went wrong,
now i stuck on the loading screen...
i will try a '/data' wipe
somehow it will not boot on custom roms (lineage & ResurrectionRemix on OpenKirin.net)
i give up.
do not work, there is a issuge with '/system' & custom roms
sad
p.s.
it cannot boot on empty '/system'
34/5000
this dependence on '/system' should not be
the only recovery that full works on my device is:
TWRP 3.0.3-1 [Magisk] , but MTP do not work... this sux, too.

Sorry forgot to mention that system won't unmount its not a problem.
Now for flashing rom Actually system partition mentioned as system image it works for me perfectly.
Backup also works n i can restore as well.
I have flashed all most every GSI custom rom and never wiped system or data because never faced any issues at all.
Thanks
I'm short for throwing the thing against the wall...
aaaahhh...
maybe I should send it to developer, so he discovered the subtle differences...

I don't understand why you every day open a new thread, basically for the same problem - bricked AL00.
Also, which firmware version do you want to (re)install, is it Oreo (maybe b540) or Nougat (maybe b399)
If your phone is really AL00 (or it was previously branded to) and if your last installed/working stock firmware was Oreo (between b528 and b540), and if you didn't change things by trying to flash some Nougat firmwares:
-You can use Service Restoration b528 package as described
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78721851&postcount=1381
- Instead of keeping and copying to dload
floder on external SD two files update_sd.zip and EVA-AL10_all_cn (since I was restoring AL10, not AL00), you will have to keep and copy to dload folder on external SD: update_sd.zip and EVA-AL00_all_cn
- Service restoration package is simply flashed by dload method (no need for TWRP), and once b528 is restored you will start receiving OTA updates up to the last official stock firmware for your AL00 (and it's last OTA patch)

Hi zgfg, sorry for the multiple posts - I was trying to solve the Magisk problem yesterday, but now I'm just trying to reset everything.
- The phone was bought in China as AL00 - no rebranding done.
- I wish to reinstall Oreo, and B540 was the latest version I had before the phone was bricked.
- I have not flashed Nougat apart from the OTA update years ago which upgraded Marshmellow to Nougat
Are you saying the EVA-AL00_all_cn.zip is also in the 6GB Restoration B528 package you've linked?
Thank you for your help

Have you tried, were you able to recover AL00 Oreo?

[Solved] Stuck on TWRP / No LG startup screen / Can't mount data partition

Hello,
I successfully rooted my LG H872 last night and installed a custom ROM (AquariOS 9.0 if you're curious), and everything was working good. But I didn't install Gapps and I was trying to get the fingerprint scanner to work, so I downloaded and installed the Gapps and the Nougat Bootloader (which is necessary for the fingerprint scanner to work). Well, after that I can't boot to OS. I even flashed a Stock Oreo ROM with no luck. Can't go to Download mode or fastboot.
I noticed that I can't mount data partition on TWRP, and I tried to repair and change file system but it ends with an error.
And yes, I did a full backup before all this mess and I try to recover it but at the end it says "Failed to mount '/data' (Device or resource busy)"
Is there any sugestion to restore my phone?
Thanks!

TWRP Recovery: Error 7. Failed to mount /vendor (Invalid argument)

Hi there,
I´m not able to install AospExtended or any other Custom ROM on my Z2 Pro. I spent several days on troubleshooting without any success. TWRP / RedWolf Error 7. Failed to mount /vendor (Invalid argument)
Tried it with different "Factory2vendor" files. all TWRP Version from 3.1 til the latest 3.3.1.0.
I did some rollbacks to ZU 1.9, 2.5 and 3.1 via QFIL.
recvoery.log
Code:
open "/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/vendor" failed: No such file or directory
script aborted: E2001: Failed to update vendor image.
E2001: Failed to update vendor image.error: 2001
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Can anyone help me out of this issue?
Many thanks!
toto1988
EDIT: right now I´m not able to install factory2vendor.zip --> I got the same message: Failed to mount /vendor (Invalid Argument)
Hi there, I never seen this issue nor tried to install that rom (in my todo list).
But have you tried mounting the vendor partition on twrt before running the rom or zip file?
Got the same issue.... Really in need for a fix
Sorry, I don’t speak English, all depends on Google Translate. Please understand if there is any mistake.
1. You should first flash QFIL into 1.9.104
2. Unlock your phone and swipe into TWRP
3. Flash into the full version of zui3.5.388rom
4. Swipe [Android-10][Z2_row] PixysOS to use Android-10
I tried to flash AospExtended ROM V7.0 and it also failed
Sorry, the resource was found in the China Forum, I am not sure if you can access this resource:
