[APP] S Note 5.2.04.25 W/ Extension Pack & S Note Widget (working action memo) - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Themes, Apps, and Mods

**Welcome to the Fox Den!**
After seeing a lot of information about the S Note and the extras on the forums,
I figured it would be best to put it all in one location.
I did this for the Note 7 for a while as well, so here we go.
The S Note version included in this download is not the latest version but it is the last version that includes the Action Memo components.
The widget and extension have been tested and work seamlessly on my own device. I cannot guarantee that they will work on yours. I only found and hosted these to help not to support.
If you want support, call Sammy...
And as always, I cannot be held liable for the damage or malfunction of your device using these files,
you proceed at your own risk and remove my liability by continuing to the downloads portion of this post!

The widget gives you access to Action Memo on the Home screen like before...

No phone yet but doesn't hurt to be prepared.

I have installed all of the apks and no action memo option for me on the Note FE with the Note 8 app ports.
The widget doesn't work either. I'll keep trying.
Thank you for compiling this for everyone!

Instead of "categories" i have "folders", and no search top right.
I have the build numbers that are in this thread and the snote is not updated.
EDIT: so I have the same widget you have, with the 5 icons up top. I dont have any notes so it says "no notes" which is assume should be correct in my instance.
I'm new to Sammy and the note 8 is my first ever device from Sammy, so im learning about things. Appreciate your patience.

Can't download - your dropbox has reached its limit for the day!

- ER is for emergency room, because it works where nothing else does
Now working on literally almost all rooted devices! If it doesn't, let me know and ill fix it ASAP.

- Thumbnail or fullscreen previews
- Rotate images
- Start on boot
- JPEG or PNG
- Share menu integration for Picasa, Dropbox or what ever you have installed
- Choose save folder
- Shake sensitivity adjustment

The app will always be available for free from XDA, it is our gift to the community.
A beta is currently being tested by everyone in the office, and the app itself will be posted here in the next few hours, after we put some basic icons together and make sure it actually works
Stay tuned, all your screen capture needs will be met within a few hours!

That sounds exciting! The other workaround is pretty tedious
Im glad this is peaking at least someone's interest. The app is almost ready - another 20 minutes and ill post it in the header!
OK I installed it, how do i take a screenshot now??
It works!
Downloaded to Dropbox, installed, enabled, and shaken
I got wonderful screenshots - Hooray!
I would like to add a few suggestions:
Maybe add a widget that lists the screenshots and takes you to the folder when clickin on it
Is it possible to add an icon to the notification bar that can be used to take a screenshot upon tapping (similar to Task killer)? Shaking is working fine but I never know if it works since the notification takes a few seconds to appear.
Sometimes the screenshot contains the notification that the app has been granted superuser rights. Maybe a timing issue?
Thanks for the great app though! looking forward to more options!
Youre quite right, its pretty barebones right now. Written in just 2 days, using a totally new method (as far as i know at least). By the way, it should work on all rooted devices, 1.6+.
We have another project to push out on friday, but ill definitely look into adding more better stuff over the weekend, thanks for the suggestions!
And im aware of the delay, the code needs to be cleaned up a little. Ill look into that as well.
Nice! Thank you! This is great!
lol. And just to think that some people in the dev forum were accusing you of not being a developer, and those same people will probably be using your app a lot.
[edit]
One thing that should be changed. Under the 'Enable' tab, it says "Screenshot ER does not active" it should say "Screenshot ER is not active".
Trolls will be trolls. Ill clean up the strings a little too.

I am impressed with the outcome of a 2-day project! Keep smoothing out the rough spots and add some more functionality and I'm sure it'll sell! Nastrovje! (only Russian word I know muahaha)

I've downloaded it but haven't installs just yet but, this sounds like it could be remedied by simply changing the notification settings in Superuser. Thats how I handle it when using Drocap 2.
Edit: Ok, so I've installed and used it for a couple of screeners. Works flawlessly on my CM7 DInc. Even with ER's toast notifications enabled, I had no problem with them being captured in the shot. Thanks so much dev. On a side note, plus one on the notification trigger option. If possible in a future release, it would be a great addition.

[TOOL] Reflecting Dockicons

Hey Guys,
I programmed a little tool to generate reflecting dockingbars for Android,
i liked my reflecting dockbar on the iPhone and didn't have found an alternative, so i photoshoped my first reflecting dockbar and thought about the idea of creating a programm to automatize the process.
Here is my first Release of the finished Tool.
Supported Devices:
All Android phones with a resolution of 480x800
Requirements are:
Windows PC
.net framework >= v 2.0 (preinstalled on Windows Vista + 7)
it's pretty simple to use:
1. press the wanted Icon slots (Dock Icons) and choose the icon image file.
2. press the Source Dock slot (Dock) and select the dock file you want to add the Reflections.
3. Press the Calculate Button
4. Now you can click on the result to save it to the whished directory.
For MIUI Launcher:
5. Copy the saved Theme to "sdcard/MIUI/theme"
6. Open Theme Manager in MIUI and select "Edit theme"
7. Select the "Home screen" or "Desktop" register
8. Your reflecting dockbar should now be in the theme selection under the saved name in 4. e.g you named the result "reflectingDock.mtz" the Theme should be called "reflectingDock"
9. after selecting the whished theme go to apply and agree the following dialog
Remember, it's still in Beta phase, so I don't give any guarantee that the results will be perfect.
i would be thankful for each feedback.
dockingbars and icons could be found in this great thread by rixsta
Tested Devices:
Samsung I9100
LG Optimus 2x
Changelog:
v1.2 (MIUI Support) added
v1.3 new MIUI-Theme structure added
Special Thanks:
ic#code - sharpziplib (C# library)
greets Leppin

does not allow you to save the result
you have to click on the result picture to save it

grml, sry.

Good job! Very useful! Would it be possible to add an option for 4 icons in some next version? So we could also be able to make reflections to our MIUIs docks! =D

[APPS] Android 4.2 apps including Camera and Keyboard

Android 4.2 Keyboard with gesture typing .apk and .zip. Can be installed as a normal .apk or flashed as a .zip. IMO this is a great improvement on the standard ICS one, and some say it's as good as SwiftKey.

4.2 Clock.zip I think this is the clock which can also act as a screensaver or something along those lines. That's a bit useless in my opinion, but if I'm not mistaken, it also has stopwatch and timer features built in (took your time, Google!) so it's worth having.

Annoyingly I can't find the person(s) who actually provided these mods. I'll try to keep the OP updated with any newer JB (4.2) apps I find.
I've installed them on my HD2 and they both work. The keyboard appears to be flawless. The camera has graphical glitches very much like we HD2 users had with Jelly Bean ROMs until very recently, but not as bad because they clear up enough to reasonably use the app. PhotoSphere does NOT work, though, because it says that our device isn't supported. That'll probably be fixed by a dev soon enough, but, for now, it won't even let you access the mode.

Yep, I thought as much from what others have said on another thread. Either way, you can see this video to see how awesome Photo Sphere is. Check the G+ link in that article as well, the resolution isn't half bad and the photo stitching is pretty much perfect, as we've come to expect from Google (Street View).
I got PhotoSphere mode to work by changing the ID to Galaxy Nexus in build.prop, but it's unusable. It sort of works, but it's excruciatingly slow and the accelerometer only barely works. It takes something like 30 seconds to take the first photo, then 30 seconds for it to allow you to take another, then another 30 seconds... at which point I ended up stopping the operation, but the resulting image wasn't even stitched together properly. It probably needs to be modified to work with the HD2's hardware. I'm no Android dev, so that'll have to be for someone else to figure out, though we might need the source for that.

Yep, that fixes the check for PhotoSphere, so that we no longer need to edit build.prop. It doesn't fix the other issues with the app, though. It's still unusable.
EDIT: Also, the new version at the original post removes the version checking (though doesn't seem to fix any of the other issues that we see on our HD2s, either): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1965895

Here's the clock. I think it's a flashable zip. I installed it just with extracting it and then finding it in the system/app folder(not the real system).
It doesn't overwrite the original clock apk so you can have it too since it has a nice timer and stopwatch. Alarm doesn't work for me(Clock has stopped, or something similar).
EDIT: Sorry, I haven't seen that you have already posted the desc clock.
Anyway, if that one up there doesn't work for you, try this.

How to get the Mont Blanc digital content for free

This morning i worked out how to get the digital extra Mont Blanc content for the Note 4.
Full details and screen shots on my blog http://gavinsgadgets.wordpress.com/...e-mont-blanc-content-for-samsung-note-4-free/
What you get is 2 new wallpapers and 5 new s-pens in S-Note.
That's cool. Do I need to keep Nova installed or can I uninstall it after I add the goodies?

There are several working with Samsung now, in addition to the ones listed above. You can mix and match to make one of your own too.

Thanks! And to confirm, is having Root an absolute must to apply these?

These are not root for Samsung bone stock. Need Substratum on your device and the Samsung add on, $1.99 I believe unless they've lowered it from when I purchased it, both from the Play Store.
Will any make the pulldown dark transparent?

No, you'd need a layer from here and not sure ones been posted yet.

Also, most of these will work except for the nav bar height. It will take some time as they're spread out all through the thread. These are for the S8+ and I'm using several on my Note 8, as I said all but the nav bar height should work.

Substratum can't do that yet, I have a couple of layers that can - one with blue and the other with red.
Are there any substratum themes that are free for our note 8?
theres a couple in here...https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/themes
So glad someone brought this up, as the only one I could find was Swift Dark. I chose the tab for Samsung devices and Swift Dark was my only option to purchase. Waste of money as it currently stands since my current theme dark high contrast from the would you believe it Samsung theme store works just as good if not better. Substratum is hyped up in imho or immature for the N8.
My take, rubbish.
Edit: shouldn't have said "rubbish" , but inadequate at this time.

I'm just using the samsung themes at this point; there are a few that are pretty nice, and until there is a BL unlock/full root for this phone, I wont bother with Substratum at this point..had it installed with a couple of the themes that supposedly work on this phone, but it borked gmail, play store and a couple of others, so off it went..
Its too bad, since I have bought around 20 or more subs themes in the past, so hopefully it will be fixed down the road.
This phone just came out, so its a matter of patience for now..

Yup. At this time, I only use it for changing my status bar and getting pixel UI settings
Always stays black if you install the ones you've updated with play store. Just install again in substratum

When you mention working with Samsung, one still has to avoid selecting certain options during installation of the overlays right ? Meaning I cannot merely select all after choosing S8 in the pull down menu without running the risk of bootloops?
In summary, which options should one not check for installation for those you linked on your post? Or are the Samsung specific ones all bootloop free.? Cheers

I've used all, just select S8, except for the nav bar. I use another for that. Haven't had any bootloops and have been using them from day one. If you do have issues you just need to boot into safe mode and uninstall the overlay and you're back in business. The ones specifically for Samsung should be okay but the others probably not. Here's a new onr, I haven't tried it yet as I have mine setup just the way I like it.
