Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie NOT Appearing on Google I/O

Just recently, all the tech sites are saying, Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will not be released at Google I/O in May, but instead just Android 4.3;
http://www.aegindia.org/2013/04/android-key-lime-pie-not-appearing-on-google-io/2122449.html
According reliable information, the release of Android Key Lime Pie is postponed by another two to four months. The delay will give sometime for the manufacturers to provide Android 4.2.2 update for their devices.
A lot of sites, saying behind the scenes that Samsung will be very upset with Google to see Android 5.0 released, just a month after they just brought out their flagship new phone the Galaxy S4, running Android 4.2. Samsung does not want to be trumped just a few weeks later, making their brand new S4 outdated with 4.2, if 5.0 comes out shortly afterwards.
And rumors saying Google would rather release Android 5.0 on a brand new Nexus phone at the same time. So going to the typical Fall release, we will see a Nexus-Five phone running Android 5.0, competing at the same time, directly against the iPhone 5S.
Now who will be the manufacture of the Nexus-Five ? Most point to LG again, or possibly Sony this time. But "5" will be the magic number; Android 5.0, Nexus 5, and 5" screen.

Curious what 4.3 will add to Jellybean ? Just minor tweaks and bug fixes ?
Will "Babel" be the main new feature ? Which I think is combining all Google Messaging to one main app ? Maybe Project Battery, giving even better battery life on stock Android ?
This is upsetting lol .. Also I will be pissed if a new nexus comes out already

a new nexus phone will be out toward the end of the year, klp will be released with it.
I'm so done with jellybean

Kinda dumb that Google would delay it just because Samsung would throw a fit.

Totally agree. I could not see an all new version Android 5.0 still being released on the current Nexus 4. I would think Google would want to release a brand new fully new version, on a brand new phone at the same time.
I expect Android 4.3 next month, released on the Nexus 4, and the only new "Nexus" device coming out at Google I/O will be the new revised Nexus 7 tablet.
And then in the Fall we will get the Nexus-Five phone, running Android 5.0.
I've only had my nexus 4 for 2 months!! Rawr

The Galaxy Nexus came with ICS(first device to have it). It also got updated to JB 4.1 as soon as it was released (June 2012 ?). So why is everyone making a fuss about the N4 getting 2 major Android releases (4.2 and possibly 5.0). In fact 4.2 was not even a Major update over 4.1.
I really hope Google brings out KLP in I/O!

Saddened by anyone who believes this headline. Unconfirmed entirely and mere speculation. I have literally read no major sites covering this "news"

Agreed. I highly doubt they would postpone their software because Samsung is having a fit .However I would see it would make since to do Nexus 5 with key lime pie. I think key lime pie is going to be a almost entirely different os most likely mirroring their new google play/search style. Just my opinion though.
So the rumor that Google would reveal Key Lime Pie at their developer conference has been dispelled by... more rumors. This is a fun game.

IMO it'll probably come out a few weeks after the S7 is released so i'm leaning towards sometime in April........
The day before root is established for 5.1 branches. Downgrade from 6 will not be possible.

Since S7 is confirmed to MM, I would say one month after the S7 release so mid April for the S6.
I just had an update but it wasn't for marshmallow ?

I saw this on reddit earlier. I don't know how trustworthy this is so take it with a grain of salt. But (big but here) reps don't usually give out dates cause they never know themselves. Maybe it means something, maybe not, we'll see...

Well if it's coming in 4 days, they might say something but there is no way to tell if the rep in that pic is legit

When sending a text through the watch, it does not send without confirmation

Hi All,
I'm from the UK so have imported this watch in from the USA and am not using the SIM within the watch.
With my previous watch, Moto 360, I could ask Google to send a text to someone and after a short delay to be able to cancel, it would send.
This doesn't seem to be the default behaviour any more, is there any way to turn this on?
Paul
It's an unwanted behavior of Android Wear 2.0. I have heard of reports of an update fixing the issue on Huawei watches but I've never seen it confirmed. I was hoping updating to the 8.0 beta would fix the issue but it didn't.
