Noble Rom only supports Exynos version of the Note 9.
and Noble perfectly working with Spen. All the Bluetooth functions are working. image capture, video, hovering etc.
both oneUI 3.1 noble from 1.7 and ONEUI 4.0 Noble Rom 2.0 perfectly working with Spen Styles with Bluetooth. I'm currently using it.

Make sure your Spen works correctly first with stock from. Becuase Noble rom Spen Bluetooth works perfectly.
if you want another rom, Try Alexis Rom 3.2. Which is based on oneUI 2.5 but with ported oneUI 3.1 apps

Turn off HDR & Beauty mode on selfie & don't go too close to the camera while taking selfies.
If you want to take selfie pics from near distance switch to night mode or use single take on selfie cam.

This Xiaomi rom is by far the one I prefer but is not available as an official update for this old model.
As for the phone and itself, I don't see the point of replacing it because it works very well.

In this case, do not ask for the latest Xiaomi updates.
You can upgrade to A12 or A13 with AOSP roms.
