Hello everybody, this thread is dedicated to hack the bootloader of the K5 Note.
We'll need to tweak the lk.bin... Let's compare this K4 Note not hacked and hacked lk.bin files with the K5 Note lk.bin file and search for informations about that.
Lenovo K5 Note lk.bin can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByyYt3sM9ZGcWXJGOTNUc3R5dEk/view?usp=sharing

Did you find anything working?

Didn't get what you are saying

Ok
So anyone wanna try this
1. make a patched boot image using "twrp" apk
2. Sign it using
https://www.google.co.in/amp/s/foru...ng-boot-images-android-verified-t3600606/amp/
3. Then flash it

You can use dd to flash first gain temp root using mtk su and then use
Code:
dd if=<your path to file> of=<destination>i
in this case your destination is mmcblk0p20 which is lk.bin and mmcblk0p21 which is lk2 and I m completely noob in this.this was my knowledge which I obtained while flashing twrp to my vibe k5 note it didn't work and I got red state warning so I extracted my lk.bin using
Code:
su
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p20 of=/sdcard/lk.bin
and replaced warning with zeros using hex editor then I flashed it using
Code:
su
dd if=/sdcard/lk.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p20
And when I rebooted to recovery I got a useless brick in my hand and when I tried to flash firmware using sp flash tool it gave me some error Brom cmd start cmd fail but it was not 2005 that error was something else so forcibly I used formatall+download and lost IMEI and everything else and I recovered only IMEI,mac using meta tolls but not anything else because I don't know how to do it my fingerprint is also not working any solutions please and can you please say me where I was wrong and got my device bricked hope you find anything helpful in this and please help me

Problem in booting recovery
Hi
I have a Lenovo vive K5 note and I have installed TWRP custom recovery on it.
the installation was successful.
But after installing I am unable to boot in the TWRP recovery.
when I tried to boot using Power + volume up, the device took me to a Chinese version of the recovery.
there it started to do anything automatically. Like it makes a beep sound. (I think it checks the hardware )
Also when it tried to boot using PC, it took me to the stock recovery mode and not in the Twrp recovery.
NEED HELP ASAP!

Hello sir I think you were in meta mode or factory mode which makes beep, to go to that mode you need a usb did you plugged in your phone to usb not charging usb. And one more thing after turning off your device how did you manage to turn on it using pc and if you have properly replaced recovery the stock recovery would have got erased and you would not get it back

I flashed the recovery using this command "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" . After the execution, I unplugged the device. Then I restarted it by Pressing the volumeup+Power keys. at that time the meta mode started. So, I pressed the power button for some seconds. Then my device turned on. (I didn't turned it on using PC)
I referred this website - extracatchy.net it has a page that has instructions for rooting lenovo vibe k5 note. I Only the section of flashing the recovery because I am not rooting the device. I would have pasted the link, but XDA forum is not allowing me to do so.
This is my first time doing this. I might have done something wrong. I followed the steps written in the website, exactly.

Ok but but the reason for meta mode was you didn't unplugg usb ,and you can't flash twrp or any other images unless you have unlocked bootloader and Lenovo Vibe k5 note has no bootloader unlock it gives an error unsupported project for unlock,so try to unlock bootloader first I know that it's not possible to do it using commands try editing modding lk.bin if you don't know that don't do it I have bricked my vibe k5 note once if your aim is to root using twrp then you can try mtksu bootless root using init.d method I m also using same method

You can flash twrp after gaining temp root using mtksu, and do you want that method, but it will not work because that lk bin will not leave you as it has verification I tried both twrp and patched magisk kernel

Observation On Infinix Hot 2 [X510-D5110-Androidone-20151208] on Root

So today I embarked on what seemed to be a fruitless journey as I tried to root the Infinix Hot 2 on the latest build (December Security Patch of course) and I observed the following:
1. Flashing TWRP Recovery that was previously made for this device doesn't Flash. SP/Infinix Flash Tool flashes the recovery quite alright but booting to recovery with ADB afterwards gives a "No command" screen.
2. Kingroot (PC & Mobile) can't root this device as of yet :'(
3. I think the bootloader can be unlocked using the Android One Toolkit that was created for 1st Gen Android One devices. Reason being the fact it booted to fastboot and prompted me with the option to accept bootloader unlock or not.
Should you come come successful with flashing recovery or rooting this latest build, please comment your method. Thank you...

recovery partition is protected, it will get back to stock recovery if you boot the system. so you really need to boot recovery as the first thing you do after flashing.
which because of the similar bug we can't unlock our bootloader, is impossible to do with default setting. flash your lk partition with this:

[GUIDE] Marshmallow Root Guide for ZE500KL

ATTENTION!
You MUST read all the guide BEFORE doing it, if you do it without reading all of it first you may ends up bricking your phone!
Prerequisites:
Asus ZE500KL (may work on ZE500KG, but haven't tested, do it on your own risk) on Marshmallow, NOT LOLLIPOP!
Also, it must have fully booted AT LEAST one time, otherwise, you'll soft-brick it.
If your phone is not on Marshmallow, you can use THIS guide insteadDownload and put the unlocker zip file and the SuperSu zip file in the phone
How To:
1 - Install adb and fastboot driver (follow THIS guide)
Now you can connect the phone to your computer2 - Reboot in fastboot mode with one of the following method:
a -Volume Up while booting upb -With adb, after enabling USB debugging in developer settings, using:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
Now that you are in bootloader, you have to boot in TWRP,
download THIS recovery (is the twrp one) and boot in to it, using this command:
IMPORTANT: DON'T FLASH IT OR YOU WILL GET BOOTLOOP!!!
Code:
fastboot boot TWRP-x-x-x-x.img
(Obviusly the recovery name must be the one you downloaded)
IMPORTANT: DON'T FLASH IT OR YOU WILL GET BOOTLOOP!!!
It should automaticaly enter in recovery.
Now you MUST flash FIRST ZE500KL_BootloaderUnlock.zip, otherwise you'll brick your phone
Btw, the recovery will mount your phone's memory, so you can put now the files in the phone, if you forgot to do it before
AFTER you installed the unlocker zip, you can install the SuperSu zip
When the install is complete, clear the cache and reboot your phone, now you can enjoy your root!

[SOLVED] Stuck in "warning bootloader unlocked" screen. Device won't turn OFF.

[SOLVED] Stuck in "warning bootloader unlocked" screen. Device won't turn OFF.
Hi all,
I have a Moto G 2014 (Titan, XT1068).
I am not new to custom ROM-ing and Android hacking, had all 4 of my personal Android phones unlocked and rooted just fine - I usually know what I'm doing.
This here is my mom's phone and it's the first Moto G 2014 I attempted to unlock & root so far. I know the basics, but this particular device gives me headache...
All actions were performed on 07. October 2016 after carefully researching the latest HOW-TOs for the Moto G 2014 on XDA and other websites:
- I unlocked the bootloader using the official process from Motorola to receive the "unique key".
- I installed twrp-3.0.2-3-titan.img recovery.
- I downloaded SR1-SuperSU-v2.78-SR1-20160915123031.zip and placed it on storage.
- I booted into TWRP recovery, installed SuperSU and Wiped Dalvik+Cache, then rebooted.
Since then, I am stuck in the "warning bootloader unlocked" (WBU) screen and the device won't turn off.
If I press the power button and hold it for a few seconds, normally it turned the device off, but now it just reboots into the WBU screen, looping forever.
- I can still enter my fastboot by holding VOL-down + Power, get a adb connection with my Android SDK + platform tools on my Windows and issue adb and fastboot commands normally.
- I can still enter the recovery and do stuff with it normally.
Since this incident, I have also tried a normal Wipe (whatever the default wipe settings are) in TWRP, no change / effect.
I have no clue what to do next, other than wait for the battery to go empty that is, since I can't even turn the device off.
Some methodologically sound advice would be highly appreciated at this point. :good:
Thank you in advance.
You just can't flash the supersu file in twrp before flashing the supersu you need to flash roo.M.br.zip file in fastboot mode then you can flash the SuperSU.
The file available at stock firmware section.
---------- Post added at 09:48 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:46 AM ----------
Flash the stock rom from fastboot mode then again root the device as i said it will solve the problem.

Is this roo.M.br.zip file included in the Stock Rom or is it the Stock Rom itself?
Or is there another general name for this roo.M.br.zip? Because I can't find it via the search function of the forum.
Anyhow ... in the meantime I will be downloading XT1068_TITAN_RETAILDSDS_5.0.2_LXB22.99-16.3_Easy_Installer.zip which is linked on the following thread:
- first URL for XT1068 labeled as "***NEW*** DOWNLOAD XT1068 5.0.2 LXB22.99-16.3 RETDSDS WITH STAGE FRIGHT FIX RETAIL DUAL SIM DUAL STANDBY (EU/INDIAN/GLOBAL) 26/08/2015 BUILD ***NEW***"
But I already had a look into the archive, nowhere to find a roo.M.br.zip is even similarly named file(s).
Could you be a little more specific or provide the correct XDA thread / link?
Also, the fact that "I can't just flash SU" it must be device specific, right?
Because on my other Android phones I just installed/flashed SU via recovery mod with no problems and that was it.
EDIT: also, according to this guide here, apparently you "can just install SU", if I understand correctly and it's more or less exactly how I proceeded (unless wiping cache/dalvik after flash was harmful):

Sorry for not understanding your answer at first.
Obviously you were refering to two different things in one post and I was a little confused.
- RESTORING THE STOCK-ROM BASED ON MARSHMALLOW / ANDROID 6.0 HAS BROKEN THE BOOTLOOP IN THE UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER WARNING.
The other issue was obviously that you catched what I wanted to do originally, which was to ROOT the device.
- DOWNLOADING AND FLASHING THIS "root-titan-M-BR.zip" IN THE THREAD YOU SPECIFIED ENABLED ME TO FLASH SUPERSU AFTERWARDS WITHOUT PROBLEMS.
Obviously I can now go on doing what I initially intended, which is installing CM13 on my mom's phone.
I almost thought I had bricked the phone for good.
Thank you for your support. :good:

[ROOT][TWRP 3.0.2]Unlock Bootloader And Flash Twrp3.0.2 in lenovo vibe x3(all models)

Warning: i am not responsible for anything that happens to your device. Do this flashing at your own risk,if the process is done incorrectly then it may brick your device and your device warranty will be void after unlocking the bootloader.
The bootloader of lenovo vibe x3 can be unlocked on stock mashmallow. this process will not work in lollipop stock rom. so update your phone to mashmallow.
Now i suppose all of you know about adb, fastboot, twrp, etc.
so i start explaining the process:
Firstly backup all your important data in your pc
2.Now download all the files mentioned in downloads below
3.Now unlock your phone and enable developers options(how to unlock developers option is mentioned below).
4.Then enable oem unlocking and android debugging.(you should have your phone drivers installed in your pc.)
5.Now open the adb folder which you have installed from the downloads
6.Shift+right click to start a command prompt in adb folder
7.Then first check if your device has enabled the adb or not by typing this command: adb devices
8.Then type: adb reboot bootloader(lenovo logo appears on the phone screen).now your device is in fastboot mode.
9.Then run the fastboot command: fastboot oem unlock-go.
10.Displays turn off. That's all you have unlocked the bootloader.
11.Then type: fastboot reboot (and it will restart your device)
12.Now after the device turn on open the twrp zip and extract it.
13.In twrp folder you will find Flash-TWRP ( this command is used to flash the twrp recovery permanetly)and Run-TWRP(this command is used to flash the twrp recovery temporarly only for one boot up).
14.As you click either of the above file the process of flashing is starts and if the twrp is flashed successfully then your device will boot up in twrp recovery.
15.Once the twrp is booted up, it will ask for permission to change the system access, click the read only or you got into a bootloop.
16.Once the above process is done then go to install option and flash the twrp3.0.2 file, which you should have copied in your phone memory.
17.Once the img. is flashed restart your device in recovery mode(twrp menu->reboot->recovery)
18.It will take some time to restart into recovery, but it will surely restart.
19.Now the device is restarted in twrp3.0.2 but the initial language is chinese, but you an change it, to change the twrp language see screen shots
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0UFTLtCIxamZG1qcDcxV3U3LTQ/view?usp=sharing
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0UFTLtCIxamVENjNWRyUmt2S3c/view?usp=sharing
20.That's all guys you have successfully flashed the twrp 3.0.2 in your lenovo vibe x3.
21.Now if you want to get your device rooted then, just flash the super su file and your device will get root permissions.
Developers options unlocking:
Go to about phone
2.Find build number.
3.Multiple tap on it(approx 7 times.)
4.Developers option is unlocked in setting above the about phone option.
NOTE: After flashing the twrp2.8.7.7, when you boot it first time select the read only option otherwise your device will surely stuck in bootloop, due to secure boot of device.

no data will not be wiped in unlocking bootloader, unless you wipe the data yourself.

First place the twrp folder in phone memory(or memo card). Then Instead of flash twrp.bat, try run twrp.bat it will boot your phone in twrp, after getting into twrp select read-only option, then open install and go into twrp folder in memory, you will find your twrp img file select it, then flash it in recovery partition and its done your recovery is flashed permanently. Reboot your phone in recovery to check it.
Still can't use TWRP
I try new method but still not working, when reboot to recovery still on lenovo recovery not twrp. In my opinion oem unlock is not working because when i send command the display is still on not off.

No this process only work with stock marshmallow, so you have to update your phone to marshmallow then, only you can unlock your bootloader and install twrp.

Root and TWRP questions from Samsung Galaxy M31

Can anybody comment/share knowledge if we can apply instructions re Galaxy M30S rooting for M31? Also is it possible to use M30S TWRP core module (.img) to build a new TWRP recovery?

Is actually any way to get root for the M31?
I found a manual on "rootmygalaxy.net" but i am not sure, if it works?
unless twrp releases an official .img, there is no "safe" way, try any at your own risk

All this website write crap, i tested some methode but after patching the boot.img with magisk and flashing with odin -- what you think? Bootloop.
Booting into Download Mode an Flashing back to Stock.
So without Custom Recovery it dont work. -.-
PS: OEM Unlock works without problems, only red warning on boot.

Hi,
I use this drivers: https://samsungusbdriver.com/download/samsung-driver-v1-7-28-0 drivers (works here)
Like i said all those tutorial are waste of lifetime there just do copy/past and guess what? It don't work, like "patching" boot file with Magisk and flashing it with ODIN the steps works but it ends in bootloop then you only can reflash stock rom.
regards.
Anyone get solution???
Still waiting....
please i need root my galaxy m31
Anyoknow how to get service mode to work?
After entering by giving *#0011#.
Giving "Q" and "0000" does not seem to work with newer galaxy phones.
I would like to change my band to Band 3 , my older oneplus was rooted but I think rooting is not required here for Samsung.
there is a way, but whether it works and how good it is I will not say. Try it at your own peril and risk. eftsu.com
The device looks great. I was really thinking about buying it because my current phone is starting to have charging issues.
Simply getting TWRP will not be enough. The device likely has dm-verity. So it will require a custom kernel too. But development for that can not even begin until TWRP gets released.
I just rooted M315F using EFTSU
It works fine for me .

This root provides only visual access to the system folder without the possibility of editing. You can just copy something from there to the user section.
