Didn't have any issues with mine out of the box or now that I've finally got all the T-Mobile stuff working with it's CSC and apps. I've called out and received calls in both circumstances and had zero issues. What provider are you with here?

Mine was some Band LTE I think.
Gonna try your link and see
Edit: your link you gave me fixed the issue.
Thanks.

How did you get the tmobile csc? I was having call issues too but when i changed the ims settings and enabled volte calls got better but when im in a area with bad lte service calls are taking long to go thru. Could that be a csc issue? Also i dont see a link that the op is saying you provided that fixed the problem

Extracted it from the T-mobile ROM and dropped the files into a CSC changer flashable zip for an S8, modified it so it would work on my Note 8 and flashed it.

that was my issue
i spent 45 mns on t mobile call then i realized why i'm calling them since my phone isn't a t mobile one lol
i flashed Kalm file
and that fixed my issue
hopefully the main dev can port it over
i don't think he's gonna be too happy with his file being modified like that

ah I didn't even think about someone being upset about it. If he is I'll take the link down. I just wanted to share for anyone else in our situation since there is no official Note 8 CSC changer at the moment.

I found the file in your other thread i just Odin it no root needed right? Thanks in advance

Not Odin, it is a flashable zip so you'll need a custom recovery and probably root

Ok cool glad i asked before i did anything lol

Ended up calling t mobile and they had me reset my network settings then turn off my phone while they did something on their end. Turned my phone back on and boom no more problems. Didn't want to try root yet until there was a more stable one available. Thanks for all the help

Do you have a link to the CSC file your talking about. I could use it also. I just got my note 8 yesterday from the same place you picked yours up, thanks

yeah it's in my thread here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73858645&postcount=17
But I redid it last night after someone confirmed that they didn't even need the Note 8 CSC files, and I deleted out everything for other carriers so the new file is only about 120mb instead of 300-something.
I can post that up after work if you want to wait, uploading is blocked here at work for some reason.
Have to add that wifi calling still doesn't seem to be working, but VoLTE does since calling does not drop me from LTE. I have no menu settings for either still, but after doing a full reset, reflashing etc I have the wifi calling quick toggle but it doesn't seem to turn on all the way - the "on" color is light-grey instead of white like everything else (dark grey when off) and in the System UI tuner app, no icon is set for Wifi Calling or VoLTE.

Yeah it's in my Exynos T-mobile CSC thread but I've got a better smaller one now. I took a pack that @TEKHD made for the S8+ F variant and switched out the files with Note 8 T-mobile files but there is a little bit left to go to make WiFi Calling work on our N950N, VoLTE works, HD voice works, video calling works, but I'm still trying to figure out what's missing for WiFi calling. It's menu isn't even showing up yet.
Current flashable zip is only 88mb and I'm fairly sure whenever I figure out the remaining files that need to be copied over it won't be much larger.

I'm about to do a factory Odin flash to stock and test the latest version - if it works properly I'll post it up with a link - though I don't want to step on anyone's toes since the core script and idea belongs to TEKHD.
Fair warning as far as right now I still haven't figured out why WiFi Calling is missing, I set up this the same way he has his S8+ pack for their F variant aside from adding a few framework files that I found referenced in the Tmo Wifi Calling apk that don't exist on a factory Korean N950N but are on the Tmo ROM, and my theory if this next attempt doesn't enable WiFi Calling is that the N950N is fundamentally either just missing more files that need to be in place for it to work and I haven't found them yet, or that it has different/incompatible versions of some files that the T-Mobile Wifi Calling needs to function.
In other words I have 2 more things to test, then I am going to try fully wiping, flashing an N950F-based ROM and apply the T-Mobile WFC pack to that, since the S8/S8+ options that enable it for those folks are for the F variants, not the N variant but the F and N have the same hardware.

Sounds good. I went through the same things with my Note 2 years ago. I figured it out and got WiFi Calling working.
Fwiw, I have no interest in Wifi Calling on my Note 8, as my signal (also T-Mobile) is always good, and I use Hangouts (or whatever) when I'm on Wifi, for free calling.
I don't have Note 8 yet, but will order soon from the same seller as you.
Do you have any other suggestions for getting everything up and running for T-Mobile (except WiFi Calling), or is simply flashing the CSC file?

If you don't care about Wifi Calling yeah I would say just root, custom kernel, and flash the CSC. You'll get VoLTE, HD voice, video calling etc

[MOD] Exynos T-Mobile CSC Wifi Calling, VoLTE etc for N950N / N950F

* 2018 January 19 massive update*
After days and nights 3 months of trying to get this to work on my Korean N950N's base, I realized that it is either missing components or has different incompatible versions of some files compared to the N950F (noticing that both TEKHD's pack and the CSC changer mega zip specify being for the F international models) and flashed NEMESIS N950F-based ROM, then this on top of it. finally figured out what needed to be changed to get this working on the N variant.
Quick summary:
Near stock T-Mobile N950U TMB CSC (unencrypted so feel free to tweak the CSC features if you wish)
swapped bootup and shutdown videos to unbranded Note 8
by swapping bootup and shutdown videos, T-Jingle does not play on bootup or shutdown
enabled Smart Call caller ID
enabled FM radio menu but more research is needed to confirm if the Exynos 8895 has an FM radio chip or not
enabled message type visible in MMS/SMS apps
enabled hardware version in system menu
enabled editing of APNs
removes all Korean carrier apps from N950N variant (SK Telecom, kt Olleh, and LG U+ apps)
VoLTE and Wifi Calling work for both Exynos variants. On N950N firmware, an N950F-based kernel still needs to be used at the moment but this is being researched further - I would like the zip to stand on it's own.
There may be some other minor tweaks that I can't remember off-hand but this is by and large stock N950U's CSC features.
For N950N firmware: Everything works including wifi calling* as of version 9m1, N950F-based kernel is still needed for init.rilepdg.rc - will be researching to see if I can get this to load from /system/ instead so no kernel mod or separate kernel is necessary
For N950F firmware: Everything works, including wifi calling.
Download Link:Exynos Note 8 T-Mobile VoLTE + Wifi Calling patch version 9m1
*EDIT 2018-01-19*
Total overhaul from the original - version 9m1 uploaded which works on both N950F and N950N firmware, though at the moment on the N950N a custom kernel (N950F-based) still needs to be used to get T-Mobile Wifi Calling to connect.
*EDIT 2017-09-28*
Minor script tweak update (replaced link) because I noticed sometimes it was defaulting to XAA instead of TMB. Now it will definitely always default to TMB.
So to simplify I can use this on a N950F on Tmobile and still get all the functions like from a Tmobile variant?

Yes, you'll get wifi calling, VoLTE, HD Voice dialer, etc. I didn't include the T-Mobile bloatware apps but I think you can download them from the Google Play Store separately if desired.
Looks like you finally got it working. Cheers!
I didn't check your Q&A thread on it, but did you keep your native bootloader (N950N) or did you just go all N950F?
Thanks for figuring this out, working great for me. I couldn't stand the tmobile jingle on start up. Easy fix, just removed the related files before flashing.
My N950F didn't have the shutter sound toggle. I just got rid of the shutter audio file but after flashing this I now have the toggle.

Thanks! Yes kept my N950N bootloader and modem. Roughly around the same time I first flashed the 950F ROM though my LTE signal changed to terrible, and I haven't figured out yet what the cause is - even tried going back to full stock N950N with Odin and speeds/signal strength are abysmal. My old Note 5 is running circles around this thing LTE-wise.

Glad it helped! Yeah I am not a big T-jingle fan either but it was a nice immediate sign that the zip worked. That toggle can be in either the others.xml or in framework-res.apk -> res-> bools.xml as I found out tonight.
Is this a T-Mo only thread.. any info for AT&T here or if not.. know where to go? Also have N950N - after Renovate Rom registers as 950F and looking to get it working super fast on at&t?
So if I stay on the stock N950N KT firmware, all I will be missing is WiFi Calling? Everything else works now? Wasn't sure from the way you worded it in the OP. Do I have to flash an N950F ROM to make things work? Should I just flash the stock N950F ROM if I just want things stock instead of a custom ROM?

My patch is for T-Mobile, but it includes the AT&T files as well. You could change a few tiny script things to make it set the CSC to ATT, though I have no way to test if it will work as well, plus I guess you have to call AT&T and have them enable VoLTE and wifi calling on their end for your IMEI.

Yes, on the stock firmware with this patch you will get all the goodies except for WiFi calling. I have not yet figured out what's missing between the 950N and 950F firmwares that allows the patch to make wifi calling work on the F only. If I can get some more time to figure it out I will make an updated patch and I'll probably switch back to 950N firmware because I'm having awful LTE suddenly and want to eliminate everything in the 950F ROM as a culprit.

Yes exactly, everything besides the wifi calling will work. If I can get some more time to figure out what's missing between the F and N firmwares I will update the patch to include the necessary files for our stock N firmware to get it working as well.
I'd rather stick to N firmware if possible to avoid any issues with F ROM incompatibilities but at the moment I'm trying to figure out why my LTE signal suddenly sucks. Odin'ed back to full stock and it still sucked so I am spending most of my free time troubleshooting that at the moment.

That sounds a bit reassuring for me. After I flashed this I got a 10mbps decrease in speed. I thought it was just the time of day or something but now I can't ever hit the speeds I had prior to flashing this so I was wondering. It's only 10 mbps but where my house is I don't get the greatest of speeds so any bit counts. I probably won't tell a difference anyway.
I haven't tried restoring to a nandroid yet, I'll keep testing. I don't think it was due to this mod but who knows.

I ended up flashing a nandroid of my EFS partition from 11 days ago and that fixed it. I don't think this mod has anything to do with it because it only changes the CSC code in 3 files there, mps_code.dat , omcnw_code.dat and replace_code.dat all three of those files are just plain text of 3 letters each, on my SK Telecom N950N they were SKC, SKC, and SKO respectively. On my T-Mobile branded Note 5 they are all TMB, so that's what my script set them to.
Also, on this nandroid backup I already had flashed the CSC so I know that isn't the issue. Where I noticed a problem was roughly when I flashed a 950F-based ROM to test out a theory that F-based models came with some files that the N models lacked, which is why my tiny CSC pack enabled T-Mobile wifi calling on F ROMs but not N ROMs.
I am confident that the pack is fine but i am going to work on a new one from scratch specifically for making wifi calling work on the N models, and with a different CSC approach, this pack (and the TEKHD one it spawned from) basically wipe out any existing CSC files and settings, and replace them with it's own. I don't think changing those 3 files on the EFS partition is necessary, nor is having the CSC report that it's from a different model so I am going to build a new pack that simply adds CSC information to the existing data - this way the phone always knows which model it is, and that you are simply using a SIM card and selecting it's matching CSC rather than going with what it was defaulted to. This will work perfectly on the N950N since it was already built with a multi-CSC from the factory, the model info indicates that it is branded for SK Telecom, KT olleh, or LG U+ but none of them are locked, and they all contain the same multi-CSC for all 3 carriers.
Please standby for a few hours while I hammer out this new and improved pack.
Thanks. Another question, for those.of you that installed this, does your LTE indicator next to your reception bars say 4g/LTE or LTE+?

the 4g/LTE icon is the T-Mobile icon, if the pack applied properly that is the one you'll get with Download Booster turned off. With it on, the icon should change to an upward-pointing Wifi symbol with LTE above it. The LTE+ icon is from the original CSC.

Ok, some weird stuff just happened, got it all figured out now....
I have a N950F from Clove UK. The original icons were 4G & 4G+, never saw LTE or LTE+. After I flashed this mod it changed to 4G/LTE like what I'm used to seeing on my TMO N5.
The reason I asked cause I had just changed ro.config.tima from 1 to 0 to get SHealth working again because of root. After doing so I noticed the 4G/LTE indicator changed to LTE+. Also after that build.prop change, the preinstalled Microsoft apps reappeared. After root I wanted to uninstall them but they disappeared, didn't show as installed in Ti Backup either.
But what I didn't notice immediately is that everything I got from installing this mod had disappeared too like as if I never installed it with the exception of the LTE+ icon which I never had before.
Makes sense why the Microsoft apps started working again after the tima change but don't know why it would affect this mod. I simply reflashed this mod & everything's back to normal. Just throwing this out there if it happens to anyone else.

is that on the latest version from 9/28? On the first release I noticed that sometimes i had to flash it twice to get it to switch to T-Mobile because it was set to XAA default (I was just copying how the original was set up).

This is on N950FXXU1AQI1 build date 9/1 which I updated from OTA before root. It originally came with N950FXXU1AQH9.
I flashed only once & it worked perefectly fine until today after I changed the tima setting & rebooted. Well twice actually caused I flashed again removing the tmo boot jingle.
My CSC was originally XEU/XEU/XEU when it was on QH9. After the OTA update to QI1 it changed to XEF/XEF/XEU. SIM has always been tmobile since I received it. CSC after flashing this mod is TMB/TMB/XEU.

oh I mean when did you download my zip?
Anyhow I am working on a revised one just for adding T-Mobile's features (doesn't contain CSC info for other USA carriers). I noticed that the factory SK Telecom signal bars are deceiving compared to T-Mobile. With LTE Discovery running on my T-Mobile Note 5 right next to SK Telecom Note 8, the Note 5 is typically 7-12 dBm lower (like numerically lower, so on the same band the 5 is -84.0 dBm and the 8 is -97.0 dBm). If I run speed tests side by side the 8 gets a bit quicker downloads for a few minutes but then it suddenly drops. Just now after flashing my new test CSC file, the 5 was getting 50-90mbps down, and the 8 was getting 70-130mbps down, but suddenly the 8 started getting 2-5mbps max.

Oh, I didn't even know there was a revised version. Looks like I have the older one, pack v3a. Still never saw XAA though.
A revised version would be great, I wonder why the need for all the CSCs but I didn't feel like messing with anything. I'll keep an eye out. Thanks

N950N Olympics edition having trouble on TMobile

Hi all,
Received an Olympic edition note 8 (n950n) at the Olympics. We were supplied originally with a KT sim and even in the settings there's a "service provider" menu of KT related items. I have gotten back to North America and popped in my TMobile sim. It took resetting all network settings until I finally got LTE working on it.
However, volte doesn't seem to work at all. I even downloaded the shortcut master and went to ims settings to enable volte switch but still switches to 3g when I make a call. Similarly it can't even find hd calling. The option in shortcut master "hd voice" shortcut says "not found" when I try to launch it.
Ideally it seems as though I just need a different CSC but I don't want to void any warranty on this phone, especially given that I'm sure Samsung USA won't touch it since it's an international model.
Are the n950n's just lacking in many features?
Thanks!
I dont know how your carrier handles VOLTE, but my carrier requested me to go in person and there they activated the service

Hey There,
I'm glad to stumble upon an actual user of an Olympic edition.
Would you mind installing Samsung PhoneInfo app from playstore and sharing your current CSC Code, and your Device Model number - which I assume is N950N ?
I'm just looking for a way to obtain the bootanimation and the theme of it...

Hi all,
Received an Olympic edition note 8 (n950n) at the Olympics.
Thanks!

Short answer, sell it and get the USA version.

Don't want to sell something that has such sentimental value to me
Product code SM-N950NZWZKTC
CSC code KTC
Additionally it doesn't seem to have the ability to have conference calls?
If you enabled all the switches through IMS setting & VoLTE still doesn't work, you'll need T-mobile CSC to get it working. Aside from the IMS settings, there are some VoLTE related settings in cscfeatures.xml. I have a N950F with modified T Mobile CSC, VoLTE, Wifi calling are working fine, I also have the VoLTE quick setting tile. But I'm rooted & is how I installed it
You'll need T Mobile CSC for wfi calling.

Heck no, I say root it, I'd never trade it for a US Snapdragon but that's just me. Can easily get VoLTE working along with many more features.

Will the Tmobile CSC work on this particular device? Tmobile csc i thought would not work on the 950n's as its not the same hardware?
where can i get the csc?

That I have no idea, I have no idea if flashing just the CSC file works between different model/chipset phones. I assume not. I rooted my phone in 2 days so I have no experience flashing official CSC files.
I'm using a modified version of TEKHD's S8 T-Mobile transformation pack. It's an early version of the following mod that I further modified for myself.
[MOD] Exynos T-Mobile CSC Wifi Calling, VoLTE etc for N950N / N950F
The person who made it has a N & specifically made it to get VoLTE & WIFI calling to work on N models. I'm using an earlier version cause it works fine on F models but still had issues on N models. To summarize that thread, he finally got it working fine for N models with nothing additional needed. But you need TWRP & root to install it.

It won't replace the Olympics boot screen but it will trip Knox & may void warranty (not sure what warranty laws are from the original COO, some countries don't void warranty for tripping Knox). But if you are in the US, you can't claim warranty on the phone in the US anyway.
You'd have to install TWRP & root your phone to install the mod I linked. But being how rare that phone is, I wouldn't do it unless you find a copy of the stock Olympics FW for that phone in case anything happens. Seems like others have been looking for it but can't find it yet. Other say it's just a theme that can be installed but if it has a different boot screen then I doubt it's just a theme for the theme store.

Maybe you've got the rare paralympic edition of Note8 which isn't capable of it? (I know, tastefully offensive. I'll be going to hell for that joke)
On a serious note, since it's the N950N which is similar to the N950F afaik, you're better off asking TMobile directly about any connectivity issues.
Usually like others have previously mentioned, should be CSC related but f.e. (if I'm not mistaken) due to the OMC folder/ structure, nearly all country CSC are included. Just the CSC features aren't accessible unless you replace the specific CSC with a modified one from S8/S8+.
If TMobile can't fix it or help you out, you're choice would be to root, double check with a N950F/N950N user if they have volte or (someone has to jump in here to verify) try flashing -if available- factory binaries for specifically USA.
I doubt T-Mobile will help or can even do anything being an international phone. My F on T-Mobile USA worked perfectly fine. You don't need IMEI provisioning with T-Mobile USA like you do with some carriers like AT&T. My speeds were great out the box, better than my T-Mobile Note 5, just didn't have VoLTE & Wifi calling until I enabled them w/ root. We now have 2 more Note 8s in the household, U T-Mobile variants. Speeds are pretty much exactly the same as my F.

Hey there, I thought I recognized the name. Remember me? One of the first to test and rip open the F model to try and figure out the LTE issue / carrier aggregation issue.
I've read through some pages over on the OEM Lock thread ... so to conclude, they figured out the issue with the OEM lock disappearing, but did they ever figure out the carrier aggregation for using F/N model 100% on T-Mobile??
I know people with the F and N models that are still suffering from carrier aggregation and like this Olympic Edition model, which is just a N model with a cool back white Olympic cover. Those who plan to use this on T-Mobile may face the LTE connectivity (carrier aggregation) issue..
For those in really good reception areas may not seem like they have an issue, but that is because they are connected to a really strong (single) signal/frequency, which makes it seem like everything is fine...
Would you be able to provide links to any progress regarding this issue? Has it been solved? If so, it's likely buried in the pages somewhere in the other threads....:highfive:

Yes I remember you. I may not be the best guy to answer your questions but I'll share what I remember.
If you remember, I was just about the only guy in those threads that didn't experience any of the issues you guys did. I'm still using an early version of KT's TMO zip which was basically a slightly modified version of tekhd's S8 zip. The versions to follow is when they started changing more & had issues as it was later found out that the TMB_keystrings.dat from N950U was the cause. Once they replaced that file the issues were reported to have been resolved. I think the current version is like 9m or something I like, I'm using 3a & always have been, never tried any later versions & is probably why I never experienced those issues.
At home my reception is not very good nor are speeds, I get 20-40mbps depending on the time of day. This was the same before I used the zip. My CA combos were different than what the zip gave me but I still had the combos that get's used the most in my area. Around town in good areas I can get 80-135mbps. I stopped checking as I put the subject to rest a while ago.
A few months ago my parents both got Tmobile N950Us. I compared my F with the TMO zip & speeds are pretty much the same, sometimes my F is slightly faster, sometimes the U, but not a big difference so I consider that other factors & call them the same. I've even tried a speed test at a local T-mobile store & the speed was like 6mbps (that area I know doesn't have good coverage) on a U where mine was getting just under 20. Still I'm not saying my F is any better but since I was able to test actual T-Mobile U variants, I don't believe my phone to have any issues with speeds & CA in my area.
Yes the Olympics edition is simply an N with a theme applied and physical cover with the logo on it. the bootscreen is an olympics logo etc.
Merging calls doesnt seem possible, i dont know why. LTE frequently drops on Tmobile now and just goes to 3g or no service at all.
Volte not working either.
I had a similar situation. I bought my phone (N950F) from abroad. Although the phone was in the compatible devices list of my carrier company, they told me that VoLTE could not be used on phones taken from abroad (silly reason). VoLTE enable is carried out by sending a request SMS to the carrier. I put my SIM card into a friend's phone, and sent the request through it. My carrier enabled my SIM card. I put it back to my phone and voila! I have been using VoLTE since then without any problem.
Just wanted to post a final kind of update and that is that the above referenced CSC for Tmobile worked well.

(Firmware Inside)Unlocked Samsung Note 9 - Finally Verizon Firmware With Wifi-Calling

Hi All,
I have been trying to follow all of these threads and waiting to get my hands on some VZW firmware since I am on verizon. I was rocking the Unlocked firmware but with only VOLTE , which is ok but I wanted to have backup for WIFI-Calling. I noticed in the other thread ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ock-odin-files-firmware-t3833205/post77449285) a user said to use Sam Mobile to download the firmware which Took about 5 hours. I figured the APP could maybe pull it if I typed in the right Model and Region. I tried using some different ones and the one that worked was the model : SM-N960U1 with "VZW" as the region. I have attached the screen shot and also uploaded to google drive for people to easily download.. Enjoy !!! The exciting thing is I used Odin with the said files on top of running the unlocked firmware and used the Home CSC and my data was kept safe. Basically everything was the same and it included the crappy Verizon apps but now I have wifi-calling .. sorry just a little excited..
The full Firmware name is this : N960U1UEU1ARH2/N960U1OYM1ARH2/N960U1UEU1ARH2/N960U1UEU1ARH2

By flashing the VZW firmware you also lose the samsung cloud and also the places and Caller ID/Spam feature. Maybe more but that is as much as I can tell.
For me that's not a big deal

One thing I just noticed is that, using android messages was I thought working 100 % but then I had people calling me saying they were texting me and I wasn't getting them.. They would get the SMS I sent but I would not be able to recieve. I switched to the Samsung Native app and bam my messages were there. I don't know if thats because I did not wipe first before doing ODIN or not ..

This is a common issues with newer Samsung phones. Their implementation of Advanced Messaging is half-assed and unfortunately you almost always have to stick with their SMS app to not have issues. Luckily the app has been updated a lot since the S7 days and is no longer a steaming pile of garbage.

Are you using Verizon as your wireless carrier? How did you turn it on?
My note 9 (unlocked XAA) doesn't have any options to turn on Wifi calling when my Verizon SIM is inserted. But Wi-Fi Calling turns on with a notification in the shade, and I can toggle via phone>menu>setting>wifi calling, when my T-Mobile SIM is in the phone.
@KidJoe
I did this on My device, Unlocked to VZW. It worked.
Wifi calling is located in Settings>Connections>Advanced Calling. Make sure you have a proper cel signal when you activate it.
Notes:
- As OP mentioned, Use the Home CS file and all of your existing settings, apps, etc won't get wiped.
- I was surprised that there were only like 6-7 crapps that came from Verizon. Mostly Yahoo mail and a couple games. The Verizon "Security & Privacy" and Cloud apps cannot be removed. I kept the voicemail and caller ID apps.
Otherwise, it seems like a pretty quick and easy fix.

that is after flashing the rom in the OP though, right? (I mean that is how it is on my VZW branded Note8, GS9 and Gs8. Yes I have many phones.. don't ask)
I was reading NICEGYPT's post as if it was done on the unlocked without flashing which is why I asked.
Question though. Since I did flash my VZW branded GS8 with the unlocked/unbranded to get the Oreo beta, and back .. for that phone there were more steps than just flashing the rom... Requiring a factory binary and other home csc file, etc. That doesn't appear to be needed non the note 9, is that correctly?

thank you for posting this! Will definitely try tonight on my unlocked Note 9 from BB, I did not realize that ordering the unlocked would disable wifi-calling with verizon.
Question: Will flashing the verizon firmware over my unlocked note 9 enable sending SMS via Wifi using the Android Messages app?
I'll be going on travel overseas, Wifi-calling is definitely nessasary for me, and sending SMS via Wifi using the stock android texting app would be icing on the cake
I also have US Unlocked from BB but on Verizon network.
Just to make sure that flashing this Firmware does not require OEM Unlock and won't disable Knox ?
hello
you don't need to reflash the firmware N960U and N960U1 are multi CSC so :
save all your data
- Power off the device
- remove the sim tray.
- Go to recovery , HOLD home ( or bixby button ) + Volume up together , and power up
- In recovery , chose factory reset .. This will give a warning and then reset everything
- Choose power off , in the recovery and insert sim tray .. you should do this before booting up as your CSC will be configured when you will start
- Power on the phone , wait and . then chose restart to system now when asked
- wait and after reboot , your CSC have change according the sim tray
some peoples do this without remouving the sim tray

Can I install stock AT&T ROM on an unlocked S10 from Samsung

I just got my new unlocked S10 all set up dialed in. Model SMG973U1ZBAX.
I put in my AT&T SIM card in and went to turn on Wifi calling and couldn't find it. I've since learned that if you have an unlocked phone, you can USE the AT&T network, but you can't get Wifi calling (which is a must for me), Visual Voicemail or HD Voice.
Instead of flat out returning it, can I just flash the AT&T ROM and it would be as if it was a a stock AT&T phone?
I know I would get all the bloatware and stuff like that, But I have to have wifi calling.
Are there links yet to Stock AT&T ROM for the S10? I couldn't find any on the site.
Thanks

Yes you can there's a thread somewhere in here with specifics on how to do it. I know you have to flash thru patched Odin and make sure you also flash userdata and csc to corresponding carrier.

Root is unrelated to firmware flashing. You only need Odin and the fw package. Your computer may, or may not need the Samsung USB drivers to be recognized.
Samfirm can be used to pull updates. You might find it on sammobile or updato, haven't checked.

Sigh. Well. I can report and confirm that you can not use Wifi calling on the AT&T network with an unlocked S10.
Even though I loaded stock AT&T firmware, and was up to date, it just won't work. Gotta return the phone.
I've been dealing with their advanced tech team for over a week and they said that because the IMEI number shows it's an unlocked phone, the system keeps denying Wifi calling.
We actually got it to work at one point. It was a 3 day process with one of their techs forcing my IMEI number through their system. It worked for about an hour, then their system caught it and kicked out it's provisioning.

Galaxy S10 unlocked ATT firmware question
Hi I recently got Galaxy S10 Unlocked phone on online. At first i didnt get ATT wifi calling options appeared in my phone. Later i followed same thread that has 973U ATT firmware links, and flashed using ODIN. I can see all ATT apps and ATT wifi calling option now but i cannot enable it. When i enable it i got a message saying we cannot turn on WIFI calling on this a device and error code EDS0008. I tried to call ATT folks, but they are saying WIFI calling and HD voice is not supported on this unlocked device. Somehow they are seeing 973U1 as model number, but i had 973U as model number. I tried chaining sim to old iphone and I saw WIFI calling is working with IPHONE, but its just this phone I am seeing error. I am not sure what to do now. Did you see this issue ?
Can you give me exactly about the files you used and post steps to get att wifi calling ?
sorry for posting questions in multiple threads
I have an unlocked S10e and I use T-Mobile and before even flashing T-Mo firmware, I did have WiFi calling out of the box. Change carrier

Your best bet is to do an exchange for an AT&T version.
You can Flash the AT&T firmware. But there will be no way in h*** for you to actually enable the Wi-Fi calling feature since they block those IMEI numbers on their servers. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. YOU MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO REVERT IT BACK TO THE OTHER FIRMWARE.

Quick question for ya:
YOU HAVE BEEN REPLIED TO. WHY CAN'T THEY JUST REFLASH THE PHONE WITH STOCK U1 FIRMWARE?

This is absolutely not true. I just switched my unlocked S10 (u1) to the ATTfirmware and Wifi calling is working great with no issues turning it on at all.

That's great to know badbread. Did you use the link https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s10/how-to/s10e-g973u-g973u1-firmware-links-t3905852 for the firmware files.
I haven't attempted this before so I thought I'd ask before screwing anything up.
Thanks.

Yes, that post and a couple others. Pretty painless process TBH.
I can confirm Wifi calling works, HD voice and a WAY WAY WAY better signal. Prior to flashing to ATT I could barely use my phone on my subway ride home... Now it works very well the entire trip.

I successfully flashed and am now seeing the ATT bloatware but WIFI calling and visual voicemail, etc are saying "OOPS! We can't turn onWi-Fi calling for your account. I'm going to attempt to flash with the clean boot version and see if that changes anything. Did you do anything different or additional to get it up and running. Not sure if it matters but I'm in Southern CA.
Has anyone else been successful in adding wifi calling, hd voice, etc?
I'm using build G973U SF6 with USERDATA_ATT_G973USQU2ASF6.
I'm on a US Unlocked Galaxy 10.

I'm away from the computer I did it on but I used the SAT1 firmware file and then manually updated all the way back up to the June update.
The updating part is/was a major PITA as it wiped the device each time. I'm hoping i'll get OTA's when they are released. Time will tell.
I'm in the Bay Area on ATT and it activated right away on the base february firmware I installed initially. Also I don't think I did any userdata stuff as I don't remember choosing it... I'll update this post tonight when I can check all the files I d/loaded on my machine at home.
Couple other things:
I can't find it right now but I followed a post that stated to make sure the SIM and SD card were removed during the flashing process. Not sure if that makes a difference.

did you ever run the unlocked firmware on ATT or did you flash to att before ever using an active sim? i had heard some speculation that once you run an unlocked phone, then it gets registered as "non att"... keep in mind this is 3rd hand info and hearsay.
edit. i guess i failed to read you short post... i see "prior to flashing" spelled out for me right there....

Any chance you found those other posts you mentioned above? I continue to be unable to get wifi calling on my phone.
By the way for anyone else, while I did not get wifi calling, visual voicemail, etc. I do see an improvement on my cell reception over the ATT network.
Ops sorry, thought I replied.
Here it is:

I followed those steps exactly.

T-Mobile to AT&T

Hi All, I'm trying to make my T-Mobile Note 9 work on AT&T. Using odin I put on the latest ATT version on my phone that I could find -- N960USQU1ARG6. It boots and works fine, but it shows Android 8.1, I don't get wifi calling or there's no place to turn on VOLTE, and when I say update software it says "software up to date." So, I'm assuming that ATT still doesn't think this is their phone.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks!

Att has Pie firmware for the Note 9. Just do a search for the newest Pue update and flash it using Odin.

That I do not know for sure. It doesn't hurt to try though.

Well, it might. I'd really like to understand what's wrong with it before I flash more.

Well the first thing you could do is do a factory reset, or verify with At&t if it's a feature on your account. Not sure how theirs is setup compared to T-Mobile's Wi-Fi calling. It won't hurt to flash unless you've got stuff you need to backup and have no way to do so.
I don't think anything is wrong with your device. All of the N960U devices are the exact same. The only difference is the software. You don't even need to flash a different firmware for it to put the carrier bloat on the device based on the sim card inserted. It's already included in the Software package on the device, just dormant.
I can't see AT&T Mobility (or any carrier, really) willingly remaining in the trailing position vs. the UnCarrier (who has offered Wi-Fi Calling as a feature (even to their MVNO customers) for over a year - yes, I have had it that long personally) - the only time I don't use it is due to support of the *router* being iffy (some residential routers have issues with Voice over Wi-Fi; the same applies to some business routers).
I went to ATT as well and it took some time for me to see the update to 9. Not sure, when I was with T-Mobile it always showed updates right away. For ATT, I was able to find the ARJA firmware with a CSA7 update that expedited the process. It also took around a day for wifi calling to show up. ATT is just slow to enable things perhaps?
