W280 Vs W280A - LG Watch Sport

What are the differences between W280 and W280A?

Looking on the LG website, the only 2 models I see are W280A and W280V. I'm assuming those are for AT&T and Verizon, respectively. Where did you see one that was just W280 with no letter after it?

W280 is the original Google Store version. completely carrier free. W280A is the AT&T version, it ships with an AT&T SIM installed.

Ah, ok, thanks for the clarification. I missed out on buying it from Google so I got a W280A from Amazon. It's unlocked and I have it working on T-Mobile. Do you know if there is any actual difference other than it shipping with an AT&T SIM?

I have the Google version, so can't speak authoritatively on the AT&T version. From what I understand AT&T uses some "numbersync" software to sync watch calls with your phone number, so if there is anything pre-installed for that, you won't need it on T-Mobile. Mine is running Wear 2.5.0.172604017 Android 7.1.1 Build NQF43O which I believe is the latest production release for US models.

[Q] Motorola MOTO X Developer Edition

i want to know if this Motorola X developer will work with att?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorola-MO...1144549540?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item2ed52640a4
I hope someone can help me out here.
Yes, but don't count on getting an LTE data connection. Voice and HSPA should work fine.

The GSM Dev Edition and GSM Unlocked (shps with T-Mobile or Net10 sim) are both the XT1053, and will work on ATT just fine.
Keep in mind the XT1053 is missing support for LTE Band 5, which ATT is now using in some areas. So if that is the only band ATT is using for LTE in your area you wont get LTE with the XT1053, but you will fall back to Hspa/Hspa+
The XT1053 is also missing support for LTE band 7 which supposedly isn't being used in the USA.
That being said, my sister-in-law is using a GSM Unlocked (XT1053) in south eastern PA on ATT just fine for everything, including LTE.

While your info is relevant, the phone linked in the OP is the VZW Dev editon. @blackviper71 's post was correct regarding that device. Moot-point though, because the device is already sold.

6.0.1 shows on Samsung website

So on the Samsung support website it shows the S6 Active as having 6.0.1. Talking to a rep they tell me best buy has access to the update, but at&t hasn't released it OTA. Is this true?

Thanks. The picture is with 6.0.1 but the firmware page shows 5.1.1. I'm waiting to see which version of 6.0.1 is final and I'll sideload it.

... and the OTA is finally out!
I just got the OTA on stock! AT&T Midwest US.
Marshmallow for S6 Active OTA is here
Just happened to check Software Update on my phone, and now I've got a 1.4GB update downloading. :good:
Pity my work wifi is so slow...
I bought a used S6A and it was already on MM with build MMB29K.G890AUCU3CPE9. The official update shows MMB29K.G890AUCU3CPE4. Seems like the previous owner(s) update it via the manual update. Wondering if I should reformat back to LP and update to the official build...
Finally

Will the OTA work if I am using T-Mobile?
Wifi calling for AT&T added in S6 Active MM update
I saw wifi calling in the list of features for the update and I was surprised, but I turned it on and it works. Surprisingly, according to the AT&T website, the S6 Active is the only model of the S6 family to get the wifi calling. I'm pretty stoked, because I don't get a cell signal at work unless I walk outside.
Before you begin
To use AT&T Wi-Fi Calling
To use Wi-Fi Calling you'll need:
• A Wi-Fi Internet connection.
• A Wi-Fi Calling capable device.
• iPhone: 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, and SE with iOS 9.3 or later.
• Android: LG G4 and Samsung GS6 Active.
• A postpaid AT&T wireless account provisioned with HD Voice.
@ankushkool No, you'll have to wait for a T-mobile version.

I doubt T-Mobile has a S6 Active! Mine is a unlocked ATT S6 Active with T-Mobile SIM. I guess I have to be on ATT network to get the update.

N9600 Wifi Calling & VoLTE enabled without root!

Hi folks,
Just discovered today that the newest software update on N9600 enables the Wifi Calling and VoLTE with my TracFone T-mobile SIM card!! I found this because when I was on the call it says "HD" on the screen, which I only saw on US version phones before.
My Dual SIM N9600 (likely from Hong Kong) has never been rooted or flashed with any CSC file. It's in its pristine official status except for the OTA updates every month. I remember that the VoLTE option was not available before this update, whenever I was trying to tap the "VoLTE" icon in the drop down menu it said "VoLTE is not available for this software version" blahblahblah. The June update is 500ish MB which I thought was bulky but didn't know why (in the What's New section of the update info it's just some very generic bs like improved performance and latest security patch)
I'm soooo excited about being able to use my phone on wifi with airplane mode on!:laugh: also the HD voice is really nice.

This is seriously great news. I've been planning to get a dual sim (exynos / snapdragon) so that I don't have to carry 2 phones (currently Note 9(960U1) and Note 5. One on T-mobile and another one on Mint mobile.
Would you please do a speedtest (speedtest.net app) on LTE/Data and post the screenshot. I am hoping the speed is good and if so Google Voice will work with out issue which is one of my requirement. I really don't like to go down the root/custom rom/CSC change route if I can avoid it.
If I buy on eBay, returning once opened will incur 20% or 25% restocking with the vendors I've shortlisted so like to avoid that.
Thanks much!
i see your on the TGY rom same here but in the latest update they have disabled it again!? now it says "volte is not supported by your current software version" are you experiencing this?

My Verizon s21 ultra unlocked automatically after 6o days of service.
If you've had it since April on Verizon and are having trouble with the unlock I'd call Verizon. I don't know of any unlock service that works for Verizon since it's done on their servers. Maybe someone else has had luck.

Any update on this? I'm having the same issue with an S21 5G from VZW. I've tried changing the CSC to XAA and ATT and still get the same issue.

Question ESIM working on OFFICIAL UI4 on the US version?

Can someone who has a US version, whether unlocked or locked to a carrier, can you confirm if the esim is active (so phone can be used as dual sim)?
Some said it was the case on the beta...
Thanks
Unlocked on beta 3. I've been using e-SIM for like 3 weeks. E-SIM on T-Mobile and physical SIM from Europe. You can also disable any of them from SIM Manager anytime you want.
Yes I heard it works on the beta. Does it work on the official version too?

Yes it does
I can confirm there is esim option in Verizon sm-g998u andriod 12 next week i will add prepaid esim plan
I tried the TMobile version updated to official ui4 and esim option is there.
I have updated to Android 12 and since then i lost my ESIM feature from Sim card management menu. I live in germany. Anyone else experienced this issue?
Can confirm eSIM is working. I have the SM-G998U (Verizon, network unlocked). I got the Android 12 update a few days ago.
After the update, I had a physical T-Mobile SIM that I was able to convert the T-Mobile SIM into an eSIM. I popped out the physical T-Mobile SIM, then grabbed a local pay-as-you-go physical SIM from the country I'm in right now and both are working.
I get texts to/from my T-Mobile eSIM and have data from my (local) physical SIM. Works well!
I confirm esim working in S21 Ultra Snapdragon SM-G998U1 in Android 12 Colombia Bogota but keep in mind that in Colombia the esim only works with movistar
