it going on,LineageOS is is work,Redmi 2 source are updated to Oreo base and other ROms are also undergoing updation
Oreo Roms are being developed...it will take time...
Oreo is still in alpha state, its buggy...use 7.1.2 roms until oreo is updated to stable version.
That is, is that firmware package suitable for Android v7.1.2 or is it for v8.x?
No. Lineage 14.1 is Android 7.1 and OOS 5.0 is Android 8.

If the ROM is built to support on 5.0 FW, I'd thinl that all would go well.

not yet, biggest problem is android P is still in beta, wait for release, it shouldn't take long thanks to treble
We can expect soon once Google releases Android P final build.
You may try flashing Android P developer preview builds if you any treble ROM installed but most probably it's going to have bugs.
We need to wait for Android P based ROM.

Yes there is a Android p gsi ported from Pixel XL which works almost buglessly. And 2 other gsi which have some bugs.

Make sure NOT to download Havoc OS 2.0 which is Android Pie since you are looking for Android Oreo.
Older zips are based on Android Oreo, as for now first zip is Android Pie.
Paranoid Android oreo has been released according their oficial website, so is there anybody currently working on a oreo build of paranoid Android oreo for Santoni?
