Every time I start the camera (via button or app icon), after a while the displayed picture just hangs. Closing and re-opening makes the problem not repeat again, so it appears to be a first-use hang, always reproducible.
Did anybody else experience this? I suspect it's the camera firmware somehow

I had GPS problem since a member posted a fix for GPS fast detection. I tried, and ended up being not working at all.
Second the problem is worse. After taking a video.. randomly this problem popped up.
I can take pictures, but it only shows previews before taking picture when it starts up, then freezes once camera loads.
Screen doesn't show what picture I am taking, but only the frozen picture at the start up of the camera. (IDK how to explain better)
But when you take the picture, it actually takes the photo of what you are trying to take.
On the video on other hand, I can start it. It stays on 0:00 and I cannot press pause nor stop. Only way to get out was pressing home button, but no videos are recorded.
What rom are you using?

I had the same problem with the camera and came here to see if I could fix it. While the page was loading on my pc, I rebooted the phone and it took care of the camera freezes
Can anybody suggest what is going on here?
I have found that if I install the Skyscanner flight app (which is very good for flight searches), then the screen starts to flicker and jitter. Once the flickering starts, then it happens everywhere, and only stops after a full reboot (it seems that a software reboot isn't enough to clear it).
The flickering starts as slight jittering, often jumping to the right a little - it's as though the screen loses sync. Then, there is colour flicker, and sometimes coloured pixels are left behind at the bottom of the screen.
I have tried this on two different stock ROM Droid 4s, and both exhibit the behaviour.
Does anybody know what's going on, and if there is a fix/solution?
I noticed this after opening snap chat once, running cm 10.2
Reboot was all that worked here but it has stopped since an update to the app came out. Not sure if that is really what did it though.

I am having a problem with my S4 Active, everytime i take a screen shot or i hold down the home button to access the multi-window, i get ths weird image distortion. Everything else on the phone works fine. Has anyone else had this problem?
Hi i'm using radium rom marshmallow and i have an issue where i'm unnable to use the camera, everything else is working and I actually tried with different roms is there something i messed up? and if so does anybody know a solution to this issue?
when trying to use the camera it just stays on a black screen and after a couple seconds it closes

Opening whatsapp clicking on take picture and quickly pressing to switch to front facing shows actual image, also on Snapchat login front facing works but rear camera still showing a black screen ?
So I noticed in the camera app the other day, auto-rotate wasnt working (the settings were set to allow auto-rotate). I tried other apps, and none of them would allow my phone to rotate into landscape. A reset fixes this. Im on verizon, so no dialer menu and not rooted.
Also, I have noticed once I opened my camera and it kinda rapidly vibrated (see video) for a few seconds rthen stopped. camera works fine. If I tap the side of the phone while in the camera (samsung or google camera app), it vibrates again. It doesnt do this in any other app. Anyone seen this??
