My Homescreen Process - ROADUARDO - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hi, all! Just wanted to share my process for creating my home screen layouts. It's pretty simple and it's been relatively the same way I've been making my home screen designs for many years. There's been a clear pattern I favor (one home screen page only) and it's been serving me well for a long time. Just wanted to include some more examples and share some tools that I use in case any of you wanted some help recreating some of my designs or to help inspire you to make something unique to your tastes. It's a really fun process, IMO.
The first and most important tool that I use is GIMP, which if you don't already know is a free image editing program that you can download here: https://www.gimp.org/
There's TONS of tutorial videos on YouTube on how you can use this program, it's not difficult to use so you'll get the hang of things pretty quickly, IMO. Theoretically, you can create my themes (with maybe more capabilities) solely using Zooper Widget and/or KLWP but for me using GIMP to make the background wallpapers, the color schemes and icons, basically everything but the widgets, is much easier to make on my laptop using GIMP.
Here's some screenshots of a quick process using layers on GIMP and how it all looks.
I start with the 12x12 grid template that I created to help move everything into its proper place, then add the layers on top and make adjustments as I go along.

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",

}
Here's the 12x12 Nova Grid Template:
How about some color pallets to help make your choice of what color to use?
RED - PINK - PURPLE
DEEP PURPLE - INDIGO - BLUE
LIGHT BLUE - CYAN - TEAL
GREEN - LIGHT GREEN - LIME
YELLOW - AMBER - ORANGE
DEEP ORANGE - BROWN - GREY
BLUE GREY
I have a folder on my laptop full of icon packs that I've collected over the years. I just place them onto the wallpaper (as layers on GIMP) and use the grid template as a guide to put them in place. I use a blank Zooper Widget to make hotspots for every individual app in that area of the home screen, if you get what I'm saying.
This is my current layout that I'm using on my Note 8 - 12x12 Grid using Nova - Zooper Widget Pro - Power Toggles (Painless Apps)
Blank version without the icons
With the bottom icons only
Zooper file for the top widget that has the Time, Date and Storage Information - For the Micro SD info inside the Zooper Widget settings you need to find the name of your file path to your SD card, in my case it was simple "0000-0000". Use a file explorer to find your file path name to your card.

Finally, here are some videos that I've made over the years to showcase some of my home screen creations. Some of them are a tutorial of sorts and the others are just showcasing a specific theme.
This first one I believe was my first video I made to show how I put together the final result of a layout. After all the editing is done on GIMP this is basically how things would get put together on the phone's end. I used to use Buzz Launcher for a long time before switching to Nova Prime I think when I got my Note 5. Most of these videos were made showing my layouts on Buzz Launcher but the principle is basically the same on Nova Launcher. Still using a 12x12 Grid.
S3 Layout
Enkel Lidenskab
I think this was made on my Note 3 or 4
SVART OCH VITT
This theme here was one of the few that I created that used more than one homescreen page. I believe it was made on my S3 or Note 4.
WIJH
This layout shows how I used to incorporate live wallpapers underneath my custom wallpaper. Latest versions of Buzz Launcher no longer allow you to do this and I haven't seen any examples of Nova allowing you to do this, either. That is, unless you just use a Zooper Widget to create the wallpaper in pieces but like I said, I prefer to just do that on my laptop using GIMP.

Well, that's basically it. I hope you've found this guide to be useful. If y'all have any comments or questions please feel free to post below. Have fun and see you around the forums!

Just wanted to share a few more details on how I put my themes together. For those of you using GIMP, here is the xcf file for my latest theme. When you open this in GIMP you'll get a better picture of how I put this all together.
http://www.mediafire.com/view/kt61g88at0ry5hg/07_Oct_2017.xcf
So I start with what do I need on my home screen. I need my most used apps, my favorite app folders, my power toggle widget and finally my combined widget for the time, date and storage info. I look at the 12x12 Grid Template and decide where I'm placing all of that.
This is how it looks with the lines so you can see how I managed things:
Just going by this recent layout I'm using, once I have everything placed where I need it I can start choosing the background wallpaper and save different versions so I can swap my phone's look throughout the week at my whim. The wallpaper doesn't have to be the exact size of the middle image space but you need to re scale it to at least 1122 pixel height and you can just drag it across to frame it how you'd prefer. If you've got this opened on GIMP you'll understand what I'm saying much clearer.
Here's another Zooper Widget template for my center clock layout in case anyone wants it:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/s5963dbch4d9oo6/Full_Circle_Roadie.zw
I hope these new details help. Keep sharing any questions you may have and thank you for all the kind words!

Amazing work

I truly appreciate this

visiones antiqua is one of the most amazing homescreens i've seen. This post pretty much epitomizes why I like Android. Bravo.

Thanks, guys! I really appreciate the kind words! Lotta work I put into these themes but they're fun to make and I enjoy helping out my community around here!

So, how do you change the main wallpaper? Do you go into GIMP every time and just re-upload it Nova?
How do you get each little section clickable in nova? Do you import it to KLWP?

I just save different versions of the same layout on my phone so that I can swap wallpapers depending on what I feel like.
The toggles on top is a widget
The time, date and storage info is a Zooper Widget
The folders in the middle (Tools/News/Media/Photography/Office/Games - I just drag from the the app drawer and make them transparent so the wallpaper comes through
The icon rows on the bottm launch from Zooper Widget hot spots.

This is fantastic. Thank you very much

Awesome work. Thanks

So I downloaded GIMP and also have PS. How am I to use your template considering it has the clock in it and all the other stuff? Or does that not matter?
Also, if I want to create my own template, whats the picture resolution supposed to be at ?

You don't need to go by my recent layout example, you can just use the grid template to help make your own but you can take my screen shots and chop them up and use whatever part you want. The clock is a Zooper Widget and you can download it from the link in the first post. Let me fire up GIMP and provide a more detailed description of my current home screen layout so you can see what size is what and where. I'll update my first post when I'm done. Hang tight!

Great stuff, thanks for sharing.

Post #2 updated with further details and files. Hope that helps!

@roaduardo do you have the first post's wallpaper without any icons, but including the shadows of each layer?
Also please remind me which widget is the top toggles widget?
Thank you!

Here ya go! The top widget I made using Zooper Widget Pro, the template of which I've also included in the first post. Install Zooper Widget Pro if you haven't already and just use that template file I included. If you run into any issues let me know.

Thanks a lot! Will try & revert back in case I face any issues

(special note), "Calendar" Icon will not display as in pic, due the type of device. Only on a Iphone will it be displayed that way.
With the help and inspiration from Bluemetalaxe and many others here, I was able to create some icons for UL. All the icons are 48x48 pixels, which the size can be altered in the UL settings. Up to five 48x48 icons can be placed side by side and flushed on the bottom of your today screen.
What I suggest is creating a new "UL Icon" folder on your SD card, so that you can save and use as many icons as you'd like, without worrying about memory.
I also posted some PNG images and icons here as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=378260&page=4 post # 37, but from now on I'll be posting my releases here.
The application I use to make the icons (Icofx) can be located in post # 13. Also if you have any icon request, please let me know.
A Brief Tutorial about using UL icons is in Post #9

A brief tutorial on using and installing UL icons:
Bottom Task Bar: If you and when you want to disable the bottom task bar in your today screen, download and install dcinobar.exe, and place it in your windows\startup folder in your device, then reboot.
Scroll Bar in Today Screen: If you and when you want to disable the scroll bar on your today screen, (so you can place your UL icons on the bottom), go into the registry settings of your device, (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\Ultimatelaunch\" and change "Type" from "4" to "5”. This value locks the plugin to the today screen effectively, thus disabling (removing) the today screen scroll bar (then reboot so the setting will stick). Special note … you have to also Uncheck all your “today” plugins, which is located in your settings/today/Items folder, you want nothing but icons on your today screen like the pics in the first post.
Icons on the bottom of the screen: If and when you want the UL tabs/icons to sit against the bottom of the today screen, you have to go into the UL settings, then go into the “Display” folder like in the picture above. Pllease note the settings I currently have. Checking the "Fixed Plugin-height" box will enable you to adjust the space between the top and bottom tabs. The higher the number, the more space between and vice versa get it? Good!!. Now also make you choose "bottom" in the "Tab Headers position" drop down box as well.
The quickest and easiest way (for me) of placing these icons on my deivce is through active sync. Now go into your "Program Files/Ultimate Launch\Icons" folder in your device. This is where you place the icons.
(1) go into your UL settings on your phone, (for example) in the "Tab" folder,
(2) Highlight the first item and hit "change" which is the 3rd button on the right,
(3) Go to "tab" again, and you'll see XP-Icon button. Hit that and it'll browse your device/storage card. Look for where icon you placed it, which was in Program Files\Ultimate Launch\Icons folder. There you will find the icons.
Also remember, you can assign two images to one (.exe) an application, "Normal" and "Pushed'. This is a cool feature many other launchers don't have.
If anyone comes across anything significant I missed and should mention, please don't hesitate to tell me, and I'll update the tutorial.

The icons look great man....Could you create a MySpace icon also?

Good Idea
Below is the app I use to create/edit icons. Basically using this is fairly simple. If I can do it, you or anyone can too, lol.
I'm still learning how to use the application because the original picture size varies. Also, I included some ready-made icons as well (some of which are pictured above). Hopefully, this will spark many to create unusual and interesting new icons
Ya Boi D, I'm not sure if you're looking for something like this. You can see it on my today screen, and it's included in the random icon file. I'll keep searching. You know have the tools to create some yourself and share.
Very nice icons - Thanks

I downloaded the summerboard zip and found few icos not exist in tne zip shown in your posted finger. How can i get them? Thanks
awesome! thanks for the great collections.
all i can say is wow ive probably downloaded over 300 icons for UL and none of them even hold a candle to these looks like im not gona sleep for a few days i hope i can figure out how to convert them or i might not ever leave my computer. but ive got no job and 2 cases of beer ill get em done thanks for some killer icons
To all, I'm glad you like the icons,
The "Summerboard" zip has been updated with the 4 missing icons. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Several icons on the bottom of my today screen are game icons, which I'm currently working on. I have 19 of them and will post them (in icon form) tomorrow at the latest.

These icons are for use on your Android Device using an app called Desktop Visualizer which you can get from the Market, I also use Launcher Pro and I will be making a set of icons for the dock with the same font. this will take you right to Desktop Visualizer on the Market

Blue Metal Birdman Font Text Icons
How to use:
There are probably many ways to accomplish this but I an new to Android and I will explain how I set up my device. First download the zip to your device and unzip it onto your memory card, second there are two apps I use from the market to accomplish what you see in the screen shots in the first post. Desktop Visualizer and Launcher Pro Plus (plus is the paid version which includes some fantastic widgets and the ability to resize the widgets on your device) With Desktop Visualizer installed on your device hold down on the screen until the pop-up box comes up and choose "widgets" and then choose "Desktop Visualizer (4x1)" then choose your image file and the app to link it to, make sure you back space in the label box so you clear out the box and bam you are done. With Launcher Pro Plus you can resize the icons on the screen (see the three sizes above in the first post) and of course move them around. If you have any questions feel free to ask........I am sure there are other ways to accomplish this that I am not aware of yet.
cheers

[LAYOUT] Scrolling Wallpaper 'Dock' + Tutorial

ClassicalGas Presents..
Scrolling Wallpaper Dock
This is a repost from here as it is not HTC Desire specific. Everything should work on any phone with 800*480 resolution.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Concept
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been experimenting with what I believe to be a unique use for the scrolling wallpaper. If using LP with 6 homescreens your wallpaper scrolls exactly one dock icon (1/5th of the screen).
I started playing around with using this as a screen indicator and dock icons to jump between homescreens using LPP Shortcuts. Shortcuts to all 6 screens are attached. I found you could effectively use the scrolling effect of the wallpaper in place of a screen indicator (although it goes the wrong way).
It takes a bit of playing around with the wallpaper to get it 100%. I've included a .PSD of one of my files, however the others aren't really in an up-loadable state. I've included all the scrollable wallpapers I've made as well.
I hope you get some fun out of this - If you do make something interesting and unique please post here to share it with everyone else!

You need 6 to get it to scroll evenly. The way the wallpaper scrolls means that screen 1 and the last screen are at the far ends of the wallpaper and then each scroll is an equal division of the wallpaper. With 5 evenly spaced icons you need 6 screens. If the icons were evenly spread out and there were only 3 then it could work with 4 home-screens.
Alternately you could use 2 home-screens and have half a wallpaper on the other side.I was thinking of doing a heaven and hell theme with screen 1 light and white and screen 2 red and black. But haven't had time.
Hi, I really like your theme but I have no clue how to make the .lps files the shortcut.
EDIT: nvm, i found it. Had to place in sd card under folder called "downloads" then pick launcher pro shortcuts. Thanks for the theme

It's pretty dodgy cos I've got a crap camera. But here you go!
Wow, that's awesome, thanks for the video!
May I have but one request? I don't play a lot of games on my phone, but I use multiple social networking apps, is it possible to change the "games" tab to say "social"? And if there is a way that the user could do it, I'm all ears.
Love this idea and will be applying it to my set up when I figure out my request =P
EDIT: sorry, didn't open all the files, going to mess with some icon packs
Been playing around with this today, I couldn't figure out what it meant in the tutorial about the screen_6.lps? I'm assuming that if you apply that shortcut and hit it another screen it takes you too that screen, I just don't know how to apply it. Is that only in Launcher Pro paid version?
Have you had any luck on that Polaroid picture wallpaper, that's the best one out of all of them.
im about to make my own based off your black one ill post it when im done
heres my first attempt
it works pretty well on my vibrant
polaroid scroller
i know you said that the polaroid scroller (Probably a while away), but it would be nice to have. great write up and work. thanks.
This looks... awesome! Can't wait to get home and take a deeper look.
cant you upload the /sdcard/launcherpro_backup for us so we can just upload it and do what we like to tweak? It'd be a hell of a lot easier...
The game icons, angry birds, etc etc, can i get the pack? you editing them yourself? I checked the credits for the icons of eclipse, wasn't them.
do you have a link for those icons?

[HomeLauncher/Themes] lightning launcher - 05012013

Under construction....
All credits go to Pierre Hebert for an amazing Launcher and being an amazing friendly dev.
Lightning launcher has a new in built theme backup/sharing so I thought I would start this so we can share on xda too.
Themes are called templates and can be built into apks or shared as a backup file which just needs placing in the LightningLauncher folder on your sdcard or emulated SD card.
You must have latest LightningLauncher installed.
Get it here. free version
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.pierrox.lightning_launcher
Also available is the LL extreme Version which is a paid app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.pierrox.lightning_launcher_extreme
The launcher has a new inbuilt template engine that can create, search and apply templates.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
Browse existing - will lead to the play store apks that are available to download and apply.
Apply - will apply any chosen template which is present in your LL folder on your sdcard/emulated SD.
I will link to all my current templates on post 2.
Apks and Normal files included.
Apks need to be installed then applied, other templates will need to be placed in your LL folder which is auto generated by the app.
Once there all that's needed is to go to the apply option and choose the desired template, accept the launcher to create widgets etc when promted.
!! PLEASE NOTE !!
Device specifics may lead to some templates not showing correct. All my templates are made on the nexus 4 so may look strange on other devices.
Further info and screens are available on the LightningLauncher G+ pages.

I decided to share my Pinup theme it's a little more work but for sure it's worth it
So here come the explanation how to accomplish this theme
First the things you need.
LL Launcher of course https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.pierrox.lightning_launcher&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsIm5ldC5waWVycm94LmxpZ2h0bmluZ19sYXVuY2hlciJd
Uccw https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.vineetsirohi.customwidget&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImluLnZpbmVldHNpcm9oaS5jdXN0b213aWRnZXQiXQ
The Uccw uzip files this include the weather and wallpaper, it also include the PSD for the pinup tiles and the wallpaper PSD
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_CuFN5jCNftNU5nb1g0Ul8wbm8/edit?usp=sharing
For other pinup files go to http://www.thepinupfiles.com/index.html#.UWzDI4n8J9A
You can of course also use other picture's or photo's instead.
Icons http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30620371&postcount=2858
LL Theme https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_CuFN5jCNftYnZfS2xkdHhPRDQ/edit?usp=sharing
I don't know sure if everything is packed in the theme so that's why I put everything with it and also a description how to accomplish this theme
Preparation
If you don't have Lightning launcher and/or uccw
Install them first
Unzip the uccw files and put them on your phone of course also put the wallpaper with it.
Wallpaper
This theme is for 1280X800, but because you have the PSD files you can adjust it to other sizes
Be sure only that you remember the sizes of your tiles because that will be importend in uccw.
UCCW
This you really have to check out when you adjusted the size of the wallpaper and/or tiles
Be sure that the background in the uccw editor have exactly the same size as the widgets (uzip) else you gone have trouble with aligning the widgets and also the hotspot of the widget will be very hard to get it right.
Lighting launcher settings
Current screen settings
Items>Text Display label off
Items>Icon Display the icon on, Enable reflection off
Rest of the Items no need to change
Wallpaper & Background> Display wallpaper
Wallpaper & Background> Select your wallpaper look up your wallpaper
Wallpaper & Background> Width 768
Wallpaper & Background> Height 1280
The rest of Wallpaper & Background stay the same
Behavior>Layout>Free mode on
Behavior>Layout> Dual position off
Behavior>Layout> Snapping none
Behavior>Zooming and scrolling>scrolling direction> Vertical only
Behavior>Zooming and scrolling> Scrolling speed 3.0
Behavior>Zooming and scrolling> Use scroll stops on
Behavior>Zooming and scrolling> Disable diagonal scrolling on
Behavior>Zooming and scrolling> rest of settings off
Behavior>Lost+found> Screen orientation > Portrait
Behavior>Lost+found> Hide the statusbar On
Appdrawer settings
Wallpaper & Background> Display wallpaper
Wallpaper & Background> Tint color (i made it black but you can pick what ever color you want)
Now the settings of lightning launcher are done and it's time to build up your screen
As you see the wallpaper have for the pinned widgets and icons (Weather, Time, Agenda, Frequent apps and missed) already aligned squars and there place
So that is gone be easy.
But first we have to put the pinup uccw widgets on there place because the alignment will be much easier.
Be sure that the hotspot of your uccw pinup widget is connected with the right app (if you have chanced it or in case i use a other app then you do)
Place the first one and go on from there it's a little hard to do but worth the effort.
When you have placed the first 3 the swipe with your fingers up or down to get to the top page or lower page to add the next 3.
When all this is done then add the pinned uccw widgets, you pin them by holding them a little longer then you get a menu in which you can pin them.
I hope you gone like the theme and it inspire to make your own or even better theme

Hmmm why is this thread so short? I'll try to share my theme later. Can someone link me to the original lightning launcher main thread? Can't seem to find it.

I can't really answer that but I must say I have tried L.L. a few times and found it very confusing to use, I'm sure giving it a bit of time will yield good results but it was just a bit full on for my liking.

Certainly not for everyone. If you're looking for a lot of flexibility in customization in a more traditional launcher try ss launcher. I use that on my evo.

[Tutorials][Themeing][Sense 4+]Theming for Dummies 101

I thought about doing this for a while now. As a Recognized Themer, I know the troubles and frustrations that went into learning just the basic theming skills to make my first skin a while back. In saying so, this thread is dedicated in teaching new themers or regular users that want to make their device a bit more colourful. The thread will be broken into lessons that will provide insight to typical theming, Do's and Don'ts, and some advanced theming along the way.
These tutorials are based on Sense 4+ skins for HTC. However, the concept can be applied to earlier versions of Sense and perhaps, some tips can be used for other Android devices.
I will answer all questions and provide help as best as I can for new users that wish to venture into the world of theming. As well, your suggestions, ideas, or even theming tricks are welcome as long as you provide simple instructions for the community to follow.
This is a learning thread and the primary goal to to educate and give back to the community.
All (well, mostly all) theming tutorials will be based on Photoshop CS6. I will provide links to specific STYLES that I used for theming my skins. If you have questions about other programs, I might not be able to answer however, the theming concept could probably be universal.
Enjoy and I hope to see some of your theming work soon.
Basic homescreen theming
Tutorial 1 - Theming the Home Navigation Dock PNG
First and foremost, you will need to decompile a skin. The best program available is from Diamondback
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1619473 (Consider buying a licence. It's an excellent tool with valuable resources)
Once you have downloaded and managed to get your first skin decompiled, you'll need to locate your first PNG that you want to theme. For this tutorial, I will be focusing on the home_nav_bg.png. This PNG is responsible for the dock on your homescreen. See the image below.

Once you have found that PNG (data/assets folder) you can open it up in Photoshop and begin theming. Below is a Youtube video that shows the theming instructions for the screenshot above.

This following ASL Style layer can be downloaded here. I am not the author of the ASL layer and I DO NOT take credit for this layer. Though it is public, you can find at http://www.deviantart.com/

Tutorial 2 - Theming Common Headers and Footers
As you learn about theming, you will notice that a few PNG's will be responsible for several widgets. One such group of PNG's are the Common Header and Footer PNG's found in the assets folder. These PNG's can be found on the Calendar, People, and Social widgets to name a few.
There are about 8 PNG's that you will need to theme in the drawable folder and 4 in the drawable_land folder. They are all named common_header and common_footer. See the image on the Calendar widget below.
Theming these PNG's is quite easy. Basically you just need to open the PNG, theme it the way you want and save. For this turorial, I will be making the common_headers and common_footers using the same ASL Style provided in Tutorial 1.
Step 1
Step 2
Step 3
9png Files
Tutorial 1 - Theming the Common Panel
9png. files are very difficult to work with because these PNG's have a 1 pixel border that needs to remain intact. See image below.
For this tutorial, you can use the Vista glass ASL found at this site : http://lost--in--thought.deviantart.com/art/Vista-Glass-Style-54030653
However, one specific 9.png file that is responsible for several backgrounds on the homescreen is the common_panel.p.png, most noticeable with the music apk used on the homescreen. See image below,
A typical 9.png file will have a 1 pixel border that cannot be comprised. This leaves some difficult in theming with regular 9.png's but for some reason, this rule doesn't apply with the common_panel.9.png, therefore, complete theming can be applied.
I'm going to outline the basic procedures for editing the common_panel.9.png file followed by a video tutorial showing how to theme the PNG in Photoshop.
First, you need to open the image and select a border colour. See image below.
Once you have the image, you need to select all, go to edit, fill with your colour you have choosen. See image below.
Now we need to contract the border inside (2 pixels). Use the magic wand selection tool, click to select the outer edges. Go to Selection/Modify/Contract. You want to contract by 2 pixels. See image below.
Now we need to remove the selection from Layer top. See the image below.
Follow the remaining steps to add the transparent background to Layer 0 and fill in the missing edges in Layer top. See the image below.

Weather Clock
Tutorial 1 - Transparent Clock Panels
One of the most asked request I've received has to do with the Weather Clock and more specifically, how I make my transparent clock panels. The clock panels themselves are not that difficult to work with, but the numbers can be tedious because there are 20 sets of PNG's, tops and bottoms. There are also 4 weather panels that can be themed.
The weather clock PNG's with full Sense skins are found in the assets folder. For Lite Sense skins, they can be located in the res/drawable/hdpi folder. Lite Sense skins are easier to work with because the clock panels and numbers are intact.
When working with weather panels, there flip lines that appear in the middle. These are elements of the flips but they can be removed if you edit the flips or use this No Gap Mode located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2054779 This mode removes the flip line. All credits go to Team 420 and the Band of Misfits for this mod.
For this particular tutorial, I will only be dealing with the stock weather clock and panels. What you will need are the following found in assets.
PNG's namely (weather panels) 9C324240, 71690667, DE32E328, EF60452E
PNG's namely (0 to 9 top and bottom)
PNG's namely clock_weather_panel.png, clock_weather_panel_l.png, clock_weather_panel_s.png, and clock_weather_panel_s_l.png
Vista ASL Layer posted earlier
I usually select a wallpaper first before making my weather clock. Transparent clocks are good because they go with any wallpaper. We're going to make something similar like the image below.
The instructions are found inside the screenshots below.
