There is a solution. You need to install the alternative installer.

Members are reminded that discussing Warez, including Lucky P, is strictly forbidden on XDA.

Why? I have installed Magisk.

Want to try again with a clean installation. But for thé moment, I can't flash twrp
I dont know why.

Was hard but it's finish. Take G5 method from xda for the root.
For busybox not complete, finish the installation with busybox application from playstore.
Now, everything work fine. I have complete Root.

Things needed:
ADB/Fastboot knowledge - HERE and HERE
RGB565Converter v0.3c - Thanks to DeToX-cz!
UPDATE: You must have the engineering bootloader flashed for access to splash1. Follow the steps here to flash the S=OFF bootloader. -Thanks to jcase
Instructions:
Find an or create an image (.png, .bmp, .jpg, or .gif -- 320x480 is preferrable)
Open RGB565 Converter
Ensure that "To RGB565 (binary)" tab is selected
Click "Open Image", select your image
Click "Convert to RGB565" (RGB565 Converter will make your image 320x480 if it is not already)
CLOSE RGB565 CONVERTER
Reboot phone into Fastboot using this command: adb reboot bootloader
OR Button combo: SEND/CALL + END/POWER
Flash image using this command: fastboot flash splash1 <your_image_name>.rgb565
Reboot phone using this command: fastboot reboot
OR fastboot oem powerdown if not then remove your battery
View the results of your hard work.
Enjoy!
As of right now there is no way to read the splash1 partition to back it up short of some kind of kernel mod to partition splash1 from NAND as a new MTD. At least that's how I understand it, please correct me if I'm wrong.
You must flash the S-OFF BOOTLOADER for this to work.
You can use the RGB565Converter tool to flash your image successfully without needing to type commands.
Below is another method used to keep your phone from rebooting unexpectedly during the process:

I tried using the "Flash Splash1" button that someone had posted earlier and I almost **** myself. I think my phone tried to load the file I originally used to root it. I was getting really nervous so I pulled the battery and, to my relief, it powered on and it booted normally. I'm sure that method works but I'm scared of it now.
I tried the original instructions and it rebooted my phone before I was ready so I did this in the command prompt (this was mentioned on the first page of posts):
cd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools
adb shell
su
reboot bootloader
fastboot flash splash1 <copy and paste file name here>
fastboot reboot
Of course this will only work if you've downloaded the program, converted your picture and placed it in the tools directory of SDK.
Worked great for me. I couldn't be happier!

How do you get into fastboot? I held the trackball down and power. Is that what you meant by hold "send press" and also does the image need to be on the root of the sdcard(Im guessing so...)?

Ok so i figured out i needed to be in "fastboot usb" mode, but i searched and found that i had to type this command into the CommandPrompt
Code:
adb shell
su
reboot bootloader
then type in the command that was mentioned before, but make sure that the image is in the \tools dir in your android sdk install.

^^^ This worked...But i have question after this how do you reboot?
I just did a battery pull But I'm sure there must be a command to reboot anyone know what it is?
and I used this Picture of an android with the letters ERIS in the center is anyone else want that instead of the droid one or something.
there should be an option to go to HBOOT menu and then into recovery and reboot from there.
I used this one:
Great tutorial. Thanks!
Here's mine if someone likes it they are free to use it.
+1 rep (if only we could do that). I was looking for something like this. Thanks!

I did a battery pull myself too lazy to go into recovery from hboot. My phone did not explode after doing a battery pull so it "should" be safe however do so with caution.
moved thread by request of OP.
Best regards,
Flar
Ive learned that battery pull is the easyiest way,
As a fan of FFXIII, I could not pass up the opportunity to do this.
[Taking Requests also ]
Maybe we should come up with a thread so people can post all boot images and animations in one place, no?
Just remember to convert it like mentioned in the first post
Here is one(as a fan =] ):
Was just thinking about changing and found this. Thanks.
Awesome!!!
Thanks for the tutorial.
Worked great!

7.Get to the command prompt now.
Now type: " fastboot devices " (without these- " " )

Type the last command: " fastboot reboot "
Like this-
11.Now your phone will reboot with ClockWorkMod(CWM) installed. CHEERS...
STEP 2- ROOTING YOUR PHONE
1. Firstly get the SuperSU.zip from HERE
2. Now copy the downloaded zip to your sdcard (not in any folder just in sdcard)
3. Boot into CWM recovery by turning off the phone and pressing "Volume UP and Power" button together after the phone vibrates.
4. Once CWM main menu is displayed, select "Install from zip" and browse to the zip that you downloaded earlier and select it.
5. Install the zip. If you get any warning, ignore and proceed.
6. After the installation is complete, reboot your device. (I think you can do that)
7. VOILA..!!! YOU ROOTED YOUR REDMI2

Now I have another issue:
After I flash the recovery with flashboot I reboot into recovery but I still have the default one ... not CWM any idea what could be wrong ?
( I have already did this procedure on another phone, same issue but after doing it a couple of time something make the difference )

get "Flashify" app from playstore and first take backup of stock recovery and then flash the cwm with it. Thats it..
Actually I didn't knew this method before i made this guide..
Anyway, fastboot gives us a different feel, doesn't it? :v
wait I don't know flashify but it looks it needs root to flash the recovery ... but I think I need cwm to root ... so I think this is not gonna work ...
Ok got it, this may be useful to anybody face the issue with recovery:
I discovered you can workaround the issue in this way:
Temporary boot into CWM:
HTML:
fastboot boot recovery.img
Root the device using CWM
Flash CWM using flashify
[ CWM when you log out ask you for root so maybe it is not necessary to use the zip file ( but I'm not very expert so maybe I'm wrong)]
You can install GAPPS with CWM `gapps-kk-20140606-signed .zip` but be careful, whenever you update MIUI you will look all software installed using CWM. ( superSu and GAPPS for example )
thanks
thanks!

Okay bro :good:
I'll update the OP
I confirm #postadelmaga the CWM recovery does not stay, the only way to do access it is the fastboot boot recovery.img Here's how I succeeded with two phones now.
power on, start wifi, do Miui updates
install ADB or the files above on PC
reboot to fastboot with voldown+pwr
now comes fastboot boot recovery.img
in CWM, sideload SuperSu and Gapps
connect you preferred VPN (if in China)
install and update all Google apps needed
delete most Chinese apps

Hi buddy could you plz port touchwiz from galaxy prime?
The simpler solution is to use the xiaomi update tool and flash a developer rom that has builtin root.
http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/5-4-10.27429/
howto & root from permissions menu:
https://watchpage.wordpress.com/201...redmi-note-4g-developers-roms-version-miui-6/
But to have the cwm running on the phone is always a safe bet for some recovery actions.
not working.
I tried this method. its stuck with flashing the recovery image. always showing flashing the recovery image.... that's all.

[GUIDE] Gain Root Access v3 (3 Methods!)

Hello people,
This is for Mi Note Pro (leo)

A lot of people ask how to gain root on the Mi Note Pro without actually searching the posts so I decided to make a quick tutorial on how to do it. This is the way I have done it and I have found it to be the easiest way!
1st Method (THE EASIEST AND SAFEST!)
1. Go to http://en.miui.com/download-273.html and download the Developer ROM
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2. If you have downloaded the file through your phone it will be in the Download folder, if not plug your phone into the PC and move the .zip file over to your device.
3. Open Updater app, tap on 3 dots to open the menu and tap on Choose update package
4. Navigate to where you have put in the zip file and click on it and let the phone update. (This will wipe all your data apart from pictures etc.)
5. Once it has loaded go through the setup. Open Security app > Permissions > Root Access.. There you are all done
Make sure you open an app that requires root access first before going to Security app as it will not show up on there.
2nd Method (Advanced Users!)(Temporary TWRP Recovery)
Requirements:
fastboot driver (Link attached)
twrp.img - https://mega.nz/#!nR0jHZqL!2cksl ... 5H76ut8UVtnu97HHAEo
supersu - https://download.chainfire.eu/740/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.49.zip
common sense
mi note pro!
1. First of all download all the things you need. Which are fastboot driver, twrp and supersu. All links are above ^ Copy SuperSu over to your device and keep other files on your PC
2. Power off your device and turn it back on by holding Power button and Volume Down at the same time. This will get you into fastboot menu.
3. Woohoo great now what you will have to do is plug your phone to your PC using a usb cable.
4. Open up the Command Promt and navigate to the location of your fastboot driver. Mine is C:/adb so I would type cd C:/adb in the command promt
5. Now type in fastboot devices just to make sure that your device is listed correctly.
6. Extract the TWRP zip so you have just the .img file. Place it inside same folder as fastboot. I tend to rename it to twrp.img (makes lifes easier)
7. Type fastboot boot twrp.img
8. Now your phone should boot into TWRP!! Go to install and flash the SuperSU zip.
9. Reboot and you are all rooted with Stock Recovery and Stable ROM!
3rd Method (Advanced Users!)(Permanent TWRP Recovery)
Requirements:
fastboot driver
twrp.img - https://mega.nz/#!nR0jHZqL!2ckslQxV-ODWnswRYpfDCp2M5H76ut8UVtnu97HHAEo
supersu - https://download.chainfire.eu/740/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.49.zip

7. Type fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
8. Now your phone should boot into TWRP!! Go to install and flash the SuperSU zip.
9. Reboot and you are all rooted with TWRP recovery, the only problem is that your OTA updates will break. You can flash them manually, when Updater downloads an update go into TWRP>Install and navigate to downloaded_rom folder
In case you need to go back to stock Recovery because you have flashed TWRP Permanently please follow instructions on this thread.http://en.miui.com/thread-124319-1-1.html

Well their Root Access works a bit different to SuperSU instead of popping up with a box promting you to give root access what you have to do is open the app the requires root access, do an action that needs root access then you go to Security > Premissions > Root Access and you have to grant it then.
Is only way to root to do a full wipe?
Can we still do normal updates after installing this developer rom?
Yup you get newest weekly updates and they work perfectly fine! I'm on 5.7.2 currently
Updated.
Is it equally safe to flash the latest 1.0.0 supersu from chainfire? Is there any compatibility constraints? or are all version compatible with all devices? thanks for shedding some light into this
Can you use Flashify and install twrp and supersu or is supersu not needed using method 1? ?

Super su is not needed using method 1 as they use their own root manager.

- Recovery images (custom CyanogenMod recovery and stock recovery image) - provided by @hackvcs (https://mega.nz/#!sp0wCThZ!MQVTq6y_8DJShrvNrY4L-JtJBDHOQhnaLRq8UiqLruQ)
- SuperSU binary .zip file - link provided by @mussio (https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU)
1. Unlock bootloader
- Enable "Unknown Sources" on your phone:
- Settings->Security: Check "Unknown Sources" checkbox- Enable "Developer Mode" and enable "USB Debugging" and "OEM Unlocking" settings
- Settings->About->Software Information->More: Tap on "Build Number" until it tells you that Developer Mode is enabled.
- Settings->Developer Options: Enable "OEM Unlocking" and "USB Debugging" options.- Actually unlock the bootloader by going to the HTCdev "Unlock Bootloader" website (www.htcdev.com/bootloader) and following the directions to unlock your bootloader. You will need to create an account on this website before being able to unlock the bootloader. I'm not going to provide step-by-step instructions for the bootloader unlock procedure since the HTCdev website already provides a step-by-step procedure. However, here are a few key notes regarding this procedure:
- The bootloader unlock procedure will reset your phone back to factory defaults. Make sure to backup anything that you need on the phone before unlocking the bootloader. You can optionally install the "HTC Sync Manager" (link provided on HTCdev website) to backup your phone before starting the process.
- In the "Select your device" box on the first screen of the bootloader unlock procedure, select "HTC Desire *" as the device type.
- If you are running the latest firmware on your phone, you do not need to worry about the phone update page when you first start the unlock process - just scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the "Proceed to Step 1" button to start the procedure.
- You will need to install Java if you don't already have it installed - there is a link to download Java right on the same page as the bootloader unlock procedure.
- You will need to download and install the fastboot binaries provided in step 4 of the bootloader unlock procedure. Unzip the fastboot.exe file included in the zip to a directory that you will use to root your HTC Desire 626s (I recommend creating a new directory for this - something like "C:\HTC626s") - later, you will also put the other files you need (recovery image file and SuperSU binary .zip file) into this same directory so that everything is in one place.
2. Install custom recovery
Once you have successfully unlocked your bootloader, you will need to flash a custom recovery (TWRP recommended). This recovery image will replace the stock recovery on your phone and allow to flash the SuperSU binaries in the next step.
- Connect your phone to the PC via USB cable and let the PC install the necessary drivers for the phone.
- Reboot the phone into "Download" mode:
- Power off phone
- While holding the Volume Down button, press the device Power button. Continue to hold the Volume Down button until the phone boots into "Download" mode. To confirm that the bootloader is unlocked and that you are in "Download" mode, you should see the following two lines at the top of the screen:
- "hTC download mode"
- "*** Unlocked ***"- Once you have confirmed that you are in download mode and the bootloader is unlocked, it's time to flash the custom recovery:
- Open a Command Prompt (aka DOS prompt) window and change to the directory where you put the fastboot.exe file. If using the recommended directory, you would type this command in the Command Prompt window to change to that directory:
- Type "cd \HTC626s" and press [ENTER]- Make sure that the recovery file is in the same directory (type "DIR" and press [ENTER] to see the files in the current directory). If it is not in the current directory, put it there before continuing (via Windows Explorer). Also, I'd recommend renaming the recovery image to "recovery.img" - it makes typing the commands a little easier and reduces the likleyhood of a typo. So before continuing, you should have both "fastboot.exe" and "recovery.img" in the current directory.
- In the command prompt window, type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" and press [ENTER] - this will flash the custom recovery to your device.
3. Install SuperSU superuser binaries
Now that we have the bootloader unlocked and the CyanogenMod recovery installed, we are set to flash the SuperSU binaries to actually root the device. Before continuing, make sure that you have copied the SuperSU binary .zip file to the internal storage on your phone! Once we boot into CyanogenMod, you will have to navigate to this .zip file in order to install it. It MUST be on the *internal* phone storage (not on the MicroSD card).
- Reboot your phone into recovery:
- Power off the phone
- Power on the phone while holding the "Volume Down" button. Keep holding "Volume Down" until the phone boots into Download mode.- Scroll down to "Reboot to bootloader" and press the power button.
- Once in bootloader mode, scroll down to "Boot to recovery mode" and press the power button. At this point, you should be in the CyanogenMod recovery menu.
- Scroll down to "Apply Update" and press the power button
- Scroll down to "Choose from internal storage" and press the power button
- Navigate to where you stored the SuperSU .zip file and select it - the SuperSU binaries will be installed on the phone. That should do it! You should now have a rooted HTC Desire 626s. Reboot the phone into Android and confirm that you have a SuperSU icon in your app drawer and then confirm that the device is actually rooted.
NOTES:
- Your phone MUST be in "Download" mode when flashing the custom recovery! You CANNOT install the recovery image when the phone is in "Bootloader" mode. If you receive this message: "remote: cannot flash this partition in s-on state", that means that you are trying to flash the recovery image while the phone is in "Bootloader" mode - you MUST be "Download" mode when flashing the recovery image!
- Bootloader MUST be unlocked before attempting to install a custom recovery. Verify that you bootloader is unlocked by checking for "*** Unlocked ***" text at top of the screen when the phone is in "Download" mode.
- After rooting, you can always revert back to the stock recovery if you'd like - the stock recovery image is provided in the same .zip file that contained the CyanogenMod recovery image (provided by @hackvcs).
Again, big thanks to @hackvcs for coming up with the custom recovery - which was the key to getting root on this device!
Great write up. Clear and concise. If you cannot root with this, you have not followed every step. I missed a step the first time. Figured it out and worked perfectly.

Thank you so much for your time and effort to get this done. I bought the phone two weeks ago and have been running a search on Google of desire 626s root and filtered by results in last 24 hours just about every day haha. Now I just need to get to a computer. Thanks again!

HELP, says cant load recovery img. why????:crying::crying::crying::crying:
Make sure the recovery.img file is in your current directory (the directory where you type the fastboot command). Type "dir" and press [ENTER] to make sure it's in the same directory as the fastboot.exe file. Post a screenshot of the error and the dir command output.
Thanks for the post.. just a question.. will this work with an HTC Desire 626x ?????
Success
I was successful on HTC 626s on MetroPCS. Will we see a cyanogenmod build?
Sorry guys if my question is too remedial, but do I have to install the entire sdk to unlock the boot loader? I'm using a friends computer and it's a rather large download. I guess what I'm asking is, is there a certain component I can download to keep the install minimal? Or do I have to install the complete sdk?

This will install the adb components you need. Also has an option for drivers if needed.

Wow I'm so glad I asked! Thank you! Will try this later today. So I won't need the sdk?

No need to download SDK
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118
What is this?
This is All-in-One installer for 3 most needed PC tools for Android. No need to download big SDK for 3 small things. I originaly made it for my Kurdish friend AnGrY DuDe in early 2013. I saw another ADB installer on XDA, but it wasn't good enough for me so i'm finaly posting it here. It's very small and fast installer for tools and drivers.
I think that all you really need for this process is the fastboot.exe that is available for download from the HTCdev site. I didn't use ADB at all to unlock the bootloader/root my phone - just fastboot.exe.
Thanks for the help guys! I'm back to report that the process was a success! I am rooted. Also just a heads up: stay away from xposed for now. Got stuck on the boot screen until my battery died after I installed it
wooooow, tanks bro, woks perfect, now I'm going to erase all the garbage of my carrier 'TELCEL'.
[Q] there is no problem if I keeping installed on the device the cyanogen recovery??...

Something is not night with your recovery.img - it's a directory instead of a file. I'm guessing that the actual recovery image in inside of the recovery.img directory....
Ok let me adjust

Bro, I think recovery.img is not in the same folder of fastboot.exe , I say that because I see in the print screen <DIR> recovery.img, that mean is in a folder... or recovery.img is a folder...
Thank you for help guys. I figured it out. I needed to rename the actual Cyanogen file to recovery.img.
I made the mistake of renaming the folder. I haven't rooted an HTC since the Evo. It clearly showed. Process took way too long. This is why I stick with Samsung phones.

Tutorial How to root ZTE z835 (Maven 3) with Magisk.

DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT MAY HAPPEN TO YOUR DEVICE, DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Before I start: everything I'm going to post here, I learned from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/maven-3/help/zte-maven-3-z835-root-t3705687/page9
VERSION OF MAGISK FLASHEAD v17.1 (Unfortunately no one has flashed version v18.1)
What we need (they will be in the links at the end):
-ZPST for AT&T (with this program we are going to flash the modified boot.img)
-Drivers: QDLoader, ZTE AndroidUSB and ZTE_V889F (in case the previous Zte driver does not work).
-Modified boot.img that are already flashed with Magisk, only the following versions are available:
-Z835V2.0.0B10
-Z835V2.0.0B12
-Z835V1.0.0B13
-Magisk Manager version compatible with v17.1
EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS IN A LINK AT THE END OF THE POST.
Let's get started.
I recommend to do a hard reset before starting, however, in one of my devices I did it having data and applications installed, if you have used kingroot or any other software in your phone, erase all trace of it so you do not have problems.
We download all the contents of the folder, install all drivers included, and the ZPST for AT&T.
Starting to flash:
WE NEED AT LEAST 50-60% of Battery
Turn off the phone and turn on pressing Vol Down + Power Button, the phone will start in FTM mode.
Open ZPST for AT&T and select version Z835

WARNING, remove the usim and sd card
Once inside the software we proceed to connect the cell phone.
1. You will see if the phone was recognized by the com port.
2. Download, this is where we will enter to download the firmware
3. You will see your information imei and so on.
This is how it will look once connected (Let's go to the download tab)
1. Let's select the firmware (it has to be the same as the cell phone otherwise it can corrupt the imei)
2. We chose where to keep a small log to check if everything went well.
3. HIT THE DOWNLOAD BUTTON!!!!!
WARNING: wait for the device to restart at least 2 or 3 times, one of them will be in FTM mode again, so do not panic, it will take a while in 3% or 5%.
When the phone starts normally, if you did a hard reset configure everything again, otherwise, we will proceed to install the magisk.
DO NOT INSERT THE SD CARD YET!
Magisk asks if I want to update to the latest version, press NO THANKS.
Proceed to uninstall
Now let's install the version of magisk manager we downloaded (com.topjohnwu.magisk_6.1.0-165_minAPI21(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk)
When the installation is finished we enter Magisk and this will ask us if we want to upgrade to the latest version, PRESS NO!
Now we will see that magisk is installed correctly.
We see that we can use all its functions.
We will proceed to verify if we have root access.
Download root checker
And Voila!

Nice work! This confirms that the bootloader is unlocked, which means we can then use just the firehose to flash these files. I will work on writing something up for that.

You can install titanium backup, twrp is not possible at this point, no one has done it yet, you can delete system apps through adb, using
Code:
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 packagename
But i haven't figured out yet how to get rw permission on system/apps so i can delete system apk's.

Thats odd, try this: download another folder B12 or B10, and just paste the B13 boot.img, maybe that could work, one of the devices i rooted was B13.
Well, I tried what you suggested, and now I get "download failed" and "failed to change mode before downloading firmware" It seems to be stuck in FTM. I guess it's bricked?

Update: not bricked. Gonna try again.

Fear not, that happened to me also, just keep in ftm and make a stock boot.img flash, provided in the mega folder. Paste the boot stock image inside the b13 folder
Placed stock boot.img into B13 folder in place of custom boot.img. The process failure point is now back to the missing sbl1.mbn problem. I can get the phone to start, however, so it's not bricked. Whew!
