Woooww, Nilkin case looks great. Out of my experience with cases for other mobiles, the qmuality is very good too.
Bah again Samsung has missed the ball with flip cases on launch The flip stand case looks good but ads more bulk.

Piel Frama and Noreve both show links for Galaxy Note 2 cases coming. I'm probably going to go with the Piel Frama because the one I had for the original Note was very high quality soft leather and looked great. Hopefully it's sooner than later as I'm waiting for the case I want before buying my Note. It's disappointing that Samsung is so late coming out with their Note 2 accessories or I'd just get one of the official white flip covers to tied me over.
Handtec have the white and grey flip covers in stock now. Other colours coming soon.

Has anyone used a case from these guys before, or a similar style???
I have always used a leather belt clip cases with my phones. Currently have a sensation and think the vertical cases are the best, but wonder about the length on the note 2 when sitting say in a car seat, if the bottom will push against the seat or the top stick me in the side????
I saw a Pdair case (had one for the HD2) but it did not clip over the top, after some time it loosened up and my HD2 used to bounce out and skim across roads (they were built tough - the phones).

i looked at the specs the note 2 is only 4mm longer than the note 1. would i be right in saying it should fit note 1 cases. guess it depends on the tolerances of the case manufacturer.
really want a vertical belt clip case with a top flap - do not want it bouncing out and road skimming.:victory:
Can confirm the allshare cast hub works perfectly with the Note2, used it for a while with no lags or disconnections, works better with the note2 than it did with my S3.

Just wanted to drop in and let everyone know it works with the OtterBox case. I was concerned it wouldn't but the magnetic is strong enough.
On that topic, I have this magnetic vent mount which also has a very large/strong set of magnets so it works great through really thick cases, phone never falls off even through spirited driving!

I recommend Spigens CD slot magnetic mount. With 6 small neo magnets it strong enough to hold an iPad.

Big ask I know - my Dex finally arrived today and my lovely Spigen case doesn't work with it. I don't want to have to remove the case every time I use Dex - is there an answer that still protects my Note??
I use something like this and it works well. Though the one I've put here isn't an exact match to mine, it is very cheap so if it doesn't work 100% you haven't lost much.
Go to Amazon and search for "Spigen Essential CA310". It will make almost any case compatible with the Dex station.
You're more than welcome.
My pitaka case works fine with the dex, wireless charging, nfc, and mag mounts.
Also, if you don't already have the Samsung Dex, look at the Smos Dex, much more case friendly.

how about modifying the Dex?
there are two small raided ridges on either side of the USB C plug on the dex.. do you think *carefully* removing those would make most cases work?
Are there any gimbals that will fit a Samsung Note 8 in a case... I would hate to put a bare note 8 on a gimbal and have it pop out by accident. I have the zhiyun smooth III and will not fit the note 8 with a case. I'd like to know of a gimbal that will fit the note 8 in a case or if I can modify the smooth-iii to make it fit?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of choice in terms of cases for the Tab S6. All the cases on Amazon have a cut out for the stylus which makes it stick out and they don't cover the sides of the tablet either.
I like the Samsung case but it's too expensive and more importantly for me, does not cover the sides.
Please post your recommendations here...

I've yet to find a third party case that has a cover system for the pen too
I've gone with the official book cover with a 10.5inch sleeve to put both in when it's in my bag etc. All of the ones on eBay, amazon, aliexpress etc all have a cut out for the pen which you will 100% lose the pen at some point. Following this thread incase someone has found one.
Until I decide on a case with a pen holder—doesn't have to accomodate the pen slot, and I don't have the keyboard—I've just Dremeled the camera lens slot of my S5e case to make it bigger. So, I might just get an S5e case with a pen holder and do the same.
@TiTiB do you know if the S5e cases fit the S6? I would be looking to do the same if it does.

There are a couple of options on Amazon that cover the pen.. though in a different way.
The main cover comes all the way around and then flips over a couple of inches onto the back to cover the pen cut-out.
They are a keyboard cover but the keyboard can be taken out as it is connected via magnets.

I got the Poetic Rubber case yesterday. It's a much better case than it was for the s4. It fits tight, perfectly edge to edge of the screen and I love the extra retainer for the pen. This case works great in DEX mode or if you are not using the hidden nav options. You can easily hold the tab by the edge of the case in both portrait and landscape. The only issue with the case is that it makes edge swiping a little difficult. It does add a little weight, but holding in one hand is not an issue.
Moko Folio Case, Logitech K480 Keyboard
I also have been wavering about what case and finally decided to by an inexpensive Moko Folio for about $10 while things sort themselves out. It is a typical folio feature-wise with the exception that the S-pen slot on the back has an elastic cover up about half the pen and makes it much more secure while letting it rest in the magnetic slot for charging.
For a keyboard (lots of people seem to be reporting lots of problems with the Samsung keyboard) I am using a Logitech K480 which I already own and use with other tablets. It has three-position switch with retains bluetooth parameters for three-different devices, keys with decent feel and a slot to put the tab in to hold it up. It also comes with a semi-hard case which has a padded slot in the front cover for the tablet (even with the folio cover).
It's still soon so I will keep watching...

huh? the s5e case does not fit the s6 very well at all.
when I used the Samsung s5e book cover on the Tab S6, the rear cameras did not fit within the S5e case hence the s5e case was not attached securely with the magnetic attachment.
if you cut out a larger hole in the s5e case for the s6 cameras, then it might be better.

The S Pen is based on electromagnetic resonance. I assume the company wasn't cognizant of how a separate magnetic field could present a problem, which is unfortunate. This case's styling is perfect, so hopefully the design will be altered.

I have tried a few cases and this is the best one I could find (and previously recommended on here) and it was a reasonable price. It’s nice and light and has a place to store the pen to stop it getting lost. The cover also activates the wake sleep when opening and closing.

I keep my tablet in a pouch when not in use along with a good little Bluetooth keyboard which I have used on previous tablets which is also really well made and has a built in trackpad and comes with its own sleeve, again this is reasonably priced.

I also have a Microsoft Arc mouse which I was given and as that folds flat it also fits nicely inside the sleeve I have

There doesn't seem to be a lot of choice in terms of cases for the Tab S6. All the cases on Amazon have a cut out for the stylus which makes it stick out and they don't cover the sides of the tablet either.
I like the Samsung case but it's too expensive and more importantly for me, does not cover the sides.
