i am using htc X9, i can't on Wi Fi in mobile and also not showing the available wifi. the same problem also in blue tooth and wifi hotspot.

anyone else having problems with the one from the sticky? It doesn't properly control my Wifi connection. Once I get it turned on I can't get it turned off, to get it turned on I have to open the wireless manager and click connect on my network.
is there a way if any program needs connection the wifi to turn on and after exit of the program the wifi to turn off (not waiting 2-3-4min if there is no usage to turn off then)?
I have turned off the wifi for the battery life reasons, so when I need it any time I have to go into comm.manager and so on....
I'm actually using phoneweaver (not free), you can set profiles to switch on/off wifi at specific times. I can turn wifi on, but for some reason can't turn it off automatically, guess I'm a bit dumb to set it correctly, but it works for me.
there's another software called wifilocations (free), it seems to turn on/off wifi based on cell id's, haven't tried it but might work for you
I personally have set a hardware button to act as Wifi on/off (with AEBPlus) and just toggle it with a double press when I need it and when I'm done.
There is a wifi button on the keyboard (right arrow button)
True, I usually forget about that one. But then, I don't want to open the phone to turn Wifi on/off.

Ok so this isn't magical, in fact, it's just another .cab that you can remapp a button to, that's what I have done and I just toggle wifi on and off using it. Here is the .cab.
Somewhat related but does anyone know if it's possible to turn the phone off but leave wi-fi on ? If I'm at home, I want to have Skype running and receive calls like general mobile calls. Would also like to be available with Messenger too

Check you don't have a 3rd party program or HTC task manager set to "close" instead of "minimize" when tapping X.
Hi.
I've recently started having lots of difficulty when moving out of range of my home's wireless signal in the phone picking up and connecting to the Mobile Data network.
Specifically:
1) Run phone for ages at home using wireless
2) Walk out of house, out of range. Wireless connection goes unconneced
3) Wait for Mobile Network to connect, have at least 3 bars of signal - fails, no E/G/H Sign, Network indicator stays white ( So far waited up to 3 hours)
4) Reboot Phone, instant Mobile Network Connection @ H
Things I have tried:
1) Turning Wireless off before leaving range of wi-fi, sometimes this works ( circa 1 in 20)
2) Turning Phone to Airplane Mode & Back - sometimes this works ( circa 1 in 15 ).
Turning Airplane mode on can take about 4 minutes, as though something is waiting for a closure timeout. Normally, this takes about 5 seconds.
3) Phone calls are intermittant during this time - sometimes I can make them, sometimes i can't.
4) While in range, turn phone off/on again so a "clean" boot, then walk out of range. No affect on ability to reconnect.
Check Phone Status under About Phone, the Mobile Network States reports "Not Connected"
It's really annoying, as I want to use the phone to during breakfast to check the latest traffic information and map updates from Google Maps before I leave home, then get in the car and go, not reboot the phone.
Has anyone else suffered a similar problem?

Not found a reason/fix for it yet, although I've been loath to do a full wipe with how busy I am atm.

Hmm.
At least we know we are not in the same boat, and a recent forum query on Engagdet highlighted others.
I've tried to capture a bug report to give me some logs to look at, but that's not working at the moment either !
Thinking it might be an "Always On" app related problem such as sykpe or amazon mp3 :S

having an issue with my home wifi,
i live in jamaica and my ISP is a company called flow
problem started feb 15, i have an unlocked att gs6 edge and i can connect to home wifi but i cannot receive data, i'm able to send data as i have tested this by sending a whatsapp message to my wife which she did receive but i'm not notified that is was receive on my phone nor do i receive her responses.
i also have immediate access to 3 other device which i can use to test the service namely: wife's phone iphone 6, sony viao laptop, and a playstation 4. the laptop and iphone connect fine but gs6 edge having the issue stated above, ps4 works with lan cable but receives a DNS server error when wifi is tried
gs6 is able to connect to other wifi connects and works fine.
fixes i have tried so far:
1. refresh router (press little rest botton at back)
2. power cycle modem (unplug power and remove battery for 1 min replace and power on)
3. reset router (hold the little botton at the back)
4. checked blacklist settings on router.
5. removed wifi connection from phone and re added
6. restart and power cycle gs6 edge
7. factory rest gs6 edge
those i can remember now, anyone will to help i'm open to suggestions and i'm will to try anything, only option left after this i can think of is to get a replacement router.
I haven't heard anyone complain about wifi performance on the gs6. Mine seems fine.
Could it be your phone? Maybe check to make sure you have mobile hot spot off?

yep it is off, couldnt connect to the wifi if it was on, also got another gs6 edge but the global version, brand i was the first to take it out the box and it was the same issue
I am a Canadian user. I just got the Pie update over Christmas and have been struggling using Android Auto and other Google services. If I try to connect to my voice mail while in AA the phone connects the call, and then doesn't let me do anything. AA shows the dial out screen, but you cannot use any of the buttons. If you disconnect blue tooth and try to use the VM app (outside of AA) it will put the call through and still not register that it has an active call. When you finally lose the call, because you cannot hang up, you have to reset the phone to even make phone calls again.
Also, I will slowly lose signal strength to whatever tower I am connected to, to the point I get no service, reset the phone, back to 100% service.
I am pretty unhappy with this device now. It used to be just the bluetooth headphone issues now its that and this too.
