I put this up for testing. its actually a daily candidate.
If you apply substratum theme. It will fail the first time. Just reboot and re-apply, and it will work. Have seen this in other ROMs so Im not too concerned.

Hallo and thanks for your beautiful work.
By the Way ...i test this Rom on my RazR HD XT925 since yesterday...and i will try this also.
Short ...It runs smooth...for an such old device.
A have in the moment only one little Problem...The WIFI shows only the "5G WIFI Network", the 2,4G WIFI is not available...maybe a little tweak in the Build prob?
I have already edit the Build.prob for the HDMI, but i don´t have test it for function in the moment.
So far stable and fast.
greetings konrat

WOO HOO! NEW BUILD BABY! Praise DiamondJohn!
Can this be dirty flashed over the old build?

I ONLY have 2.4Ghz WiFi at home, and it works for me. I do notice on these Nougat builds that the radio takes a minute or two to go live from boot. So thanks for confirming it works on 5GHz...

Wifi wasn't working after dirty flash, I also lost CDMA signal. After a clean wipe and restore of /data and /cache CDMA worked but I wasn't able to enable wifi. Oh well... I'll try again later.

Wait a sec, are you now in the state where you have flashed an XT905 firmware onto an xt907? Even if you flashed back, I am suspicious of the state of your phone, in particular your radio (which includes WiFi).

@ilichva, If you read this post, and have the time, could you post a link on 4PDA back to this thread please.

@DiamondJohn I got the CM13 working for my sister and want to try this. So I backup CM13 up and then reformat data to f2fs. Can I restore the back up of CM13 directly or do I first need reformat data to ext4 before I can restore? Is the formatting saved in the backup? I think I know the answer but please comment.

I was woried about the same issue when testing my early builds. I was pleasantly surprised when I could restore my CM13 (on ext4 data) back over my newly F2FS formatted data partition. I am using my build of TWRP 3.1.1. Everything I read on the internet said it was not going to work, but it did.

So when you restore CM 13 then it is still f2fs formatted data but works when you restore it with ext4 backedup data? If we then flash another of your new builds we don't need to format again to f2fs?
Link to your twrp build please? Don't see it on OP? I'm still using Ilichva twrp build.
Hope you feel these are intelligent questions.

Thats what happened for me. The restore of CM13 worked, and the data partition stayed as F2FS.

What I *think* is irrelevant.

Sorry. I read all your posts for a long time and the f2fs change Didn't sink in. Then I got the revelation and I should have gone back and re-read everything. It all makes sense. Thanks for being patient! I presume you still have no interest in LOS build? Nice work!

LOS builds

My original driver was to get a Nougat ResurrectionRemix build, which I now have and have it installed and running smoothly on my device https://forum.xda-developers.com/dr...resurrectionremix-nougat-xt907-xt905-t3697567 The problem with building anything more (such as LOS, AICP etc) is that I would need to do a test flash on my device, which would involve backing-up and restoring on my personal device, which I am so happy with right now, that I don't want to do that. If you want standard LOS, you can Port the official xt897 ROM using the steps described in the thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-razr-m/development/how-to-port-lineage-13-0-6-01-to-t3607500 using a weekly sourced from https://download.lineageos.org/xt897, or use the ports already prepared from the thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-razr-m/development/lineage-os-xt907jbbl-t3577746
On the other hand, these Nougat ROMs I have built appear to be pretty stable, so if you dont set any customisations, they will basically for the most part operate the same as LOS, since they are both LOS based.

IOS 10 EMOJI's
I think the IOS 10 EMOJI's would also work for crDroid. see https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74430661&postcount=19

This rom runs incredibly smooth on this device. So far I haven't encountered many problems except for the sim card sometimes not registering on reboot.

Validus ROM for the LG L90 (w7)
Source Code
Requires unlocked bootloader(D405/D410), twrp for install and full wipe.
ROM OS Version: 6.0.x Marshmallow
ROM Kernel: Linux 3.4.x
Based On: AOSPB (Similar to Slim)

Status: Stable
Stable Release Date: 08-07-2016
Created: 08-07-2016

FAQ:
Q Are you still going to support your other ROMs for the l90?
A Short answer: "yes", Long answer: "I have no reason not to, each one is an adventure of its own".
Q Does this ROM support Xposed?
A No, Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be disscused in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports while using it as Xposed can cause a lot of bugs.
Q Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A Use the version arm sdk 23.
Q Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A If I have one I will probably give it to you, don't ask for one though, it is very rude to do this.
Q Do I need to provide a log if I'm reporting a bug?
A If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a log.
Q I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A In TWRP, go into Advanced, then File Manager and navigate to /data/system/theme, and then delete the folder, you might also have to remove the app in /data/app, or /system/app.
Q Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A Yes, however make a nandroid first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs, also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q How do I get a logcat, and what type should I get, and more questions that can conviently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog

Thanks, and basically if you want a feature rich ROM with the cyanogen mod theme engine you would use this one, if you want substratum instead, you would use tesla, and if you want a very lightweight, but still very customizable ROM you would use liquid. Also when it comes to validus and Tesla there aren't any features that just bog down performance, however they're still very feature rich, liquid just takes the performance part even further by adding tons of optimizations and only a few essential features that users love. Also, Validus is my only ROM with key features from a popular ROM called dirty unicorns, so if you like DU, you'll probably like this. That's how my ROMs work anyway.
is this rom based on layers?

Thanks, I will test IR when I have time.. don't use it anyways but it is always nice to have everything working
But I have more important issue... headphones are not being detected at all... and phone calls go through loud speaker. I did clean flash with everything formatted even sdcard but no help...
I've thought a lot about this and I've decided to only release, and maintain builds on Google plus from now on. If you have any issues or questions, or just want to say something, just comment on the release post. I'm going to ask a mod to close the thread, All builds will be announced here: https://plus.google.com/108827106611656999802

Wow great rom, thank you sooooooo much.....sadly its not yet avaible for the KLTEVZW variant yet. but this is what I wanted for so long. the one last thing that this rom is missing or that i wish could be included is a full dark/black SystemUI built in without the use of other methods just the flick of a switch and boom all around dark mode everywhere.
Great Job!!

Thanks for the new room. It looks so beautiful and feature rich. However, can you build this ROM for kltekor (now supported by official Lineage OS and RR). If you build, I'll be here to test. Thanks in advance.
I could build for any device its just finding time. I was talking to main dev for official support but you would have to update every 6-7 days. For all the klte devices that too much. Probably every other week y'all could get unofficial updates.

Thanks for the quick reply. Looking forward to test Cosmic OS kltekor builds (whether official or unofficial).
just flashed it on g900V and its boots just fine(one reboot at bootanimation but im guessing its because of latest SU)....going to test it for a few days to see if anything is broken since it doesnt support the kltevzw yet.

Yes SIM card works got signal , camera works , havent installed gapps yet so test everything else.
Yes lte works , flashed gapps , signed in google play no problems so far, gps is good as well , i guess all thats left is battery life to test. But your first initial build does work for the G900V(KLTEVZW) as well.
Cool and good to see AOSP CAF based ROM for klte. Awesome great work @malbert16442. Plz bring more Roms like DU,aosip or Tesla or validus. People would love to see that
for kltekor users...
Successfully boot up this ROM on my kltekor (SM-G900L) with help of the boot.img extracted from official LOS (posting here for anyone interested). Everything (tested) including camera, wifi, themes etc. are working fine. This ROM is full of useful features... and beautiful too... (link to screen cast video is also posting here).
Thanks for the feedback! Keen to try the ROM. Can you check to see if you have the Lineage OS FlipFlap app (it adds generic flip cover support)?
Thanks!

KNOWN ISSUES
1) Google camera doesn't save 30fps videos. Use Snap camera, or record 60fps with Google camera.
2) On all LOS-based ROMs, while the Pixels are recognized as Pixel devices in Photos and it says you have unlimited storage, apparently backing up photos DOES take away from your Drive storage allocation. All I can say is that this is being looked into, but no solution has been found to date.
Aside from that, as far as I can tell there are no longer any bugs! Please report any that you run into, assuming you have tested on a clean install. :good:
Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running the included kernel
- have installed any mods such as Xposed!
- have modified system files
Thanks to:
- Google
- LineageOS
- SlimRoms
- AOSPA (Paranoid Android)
- OmniRom
- NamelessROM
- @beanstown106 for his hard work on this device, specifically the gapps without which the PixelXL wouldn't be a PixelXL in Google's eyes.
- @flar2 for his excellent ElementalX kernel, which is used in crDroid for marlin and sailfish.
- @Bdogg718 for his assistance on random Pixel-related stuff (i.e. the Ambient Display fix).
- Many others... (if you're feeling upset being out of the thanks list just send a PM )

OK folks, by request, here is crDroid for sailfish! It has been installed and seems to work fine; flash away.
Root / Passing SafetyNet Notes
Passing SafetyNet and/or playing PokemonGO with LOS su
This is a note to folks who play (or like me have kid(s) that play) PokemonGO (PoGo) on their devices. Since root is built-in, by default SafetyNet won't pass with crDroid, hence no PoGo. As an added bonus, since the kernel we use on this build is SELinux Enforcing, this will also allow crDroid install to completely pass SafetyNet!
All you have to do is boot to recovery and flash the unsu-los-pixel.zip.
If you want root back, it's as easy as flashing restoresu-los-pixel.zip.
Download both files from AFH here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=158048
SEE IMPORTANT NOTES BELOW!
Note 1) Through no intentional act of my own, this will sometimes trigger TWRP to boot to the wrong slot. If your phone doesn't boot, or boots back to recovery, just go to the Reboot menu, select the opposite slot and reboot system.
Note 2) This will -only- work on the Pixel & the Pixel XL. Pixels are weird and nest parts of the /system/ directory in /system/system/, hence the need for me to make these for Pixels only.
Note 3) I have tested this on crDroid, but in theory it will work on any LOS-based ROM, becuase they all should implement built-in root the same way.
What flashing this actually does
What this mod does could not be any easier. The un-root script takes the two su files required for root - in /system/system/bin/ and /system/system/xbin/ - and renames them to "s_u". The restore root script renames both files back to "su". That's it. You can do this manually by mounting system and using the file explorer in TWRP, but that takes an annoyingly long time relative to just flashing these.
We actually have a developer, @bhb27 , on the crDroid team that has an app that allows you to pass SafetyNet, but we are having trouble actively mounting system while the phone is booted. If we get that sorted, this won't be necessary, but in the mean time this is the quickest way I can come up with.[/hide]

To use Magisk, just flash the remove SU file above, then flash Magisk. Magisk info below.

- mount DATA and SYSTEM partitions
- using adb or embedded terminal, remove /data/magisk folder, /data/magisk.img file, /system/sbin_orig folder if exists, /system/magisk folder if exists
- reflash ROM and TWRP
- reboot TWRP (once again to recovery)

That depends on what bootloader you are on. If April or before, no. If May (and presumably all after), yes.

Arise? I'm guessing typo.
I use Magisk, Arise (with only base+Viper4ARISE+ice Sound) and the Magisk compatibility module and it works great.
See post 3 regarding Magisk.
Awesome, thanks.
crDroid v3.3 is Up!
crDroid v3.3 for Pixel XL (marlin) is live and ready to go! Per our dev, neobuddy89:
v3.3 release will roll out this week. In span of last two-three weeks, we noticed two naughty teams forked our repos directly and branded it as their own work. We do respect open-source but not stealing and rebranding/renaming. Yes, we used parts from other major ROMs with credits while starting ourselves from the scratch - that's how open source should be (and not mere renaming of ROM.) This is message for those who tried to sabotage our work: we invite you to contribute directly to our code base or support us with your resources to build / translate / fix device specific bugs. Together, we can achieve even more heights.
Changelog:
* Donate link under crDroid About (paypal.me/crdroidandroid). Help our team to provide builds faster! <3
* Optional battery info on lock screen while charging
* Optional locking tasks in AOSP recents view
* Weather provider default set to Yahoo.
* New optimized libraries: libpng, ImageMagick, bash, jemalloc and few more.
* Updated substratum resources to date.
* Fixed black of right icon on lock screen
* Jelly (Browser) homepage default set to google.
* Demo mode is back in Settings (For app devs)
* Bug fixes and improvements from google and LOS.
Official devices with v3.0 or later should get OTA notification when build is ready.
Remember, roll out for most devices will happen this week not immediately. Builds needs to be thoroughly tested on device before release to squash common bugs, if any.
Some known common issues:
* Ambient display brightness manual override may not work for all devices. We are working on this.
* Live display tile can crash on boot for few devices. We need LOS to provide proper update since it has major dependencies in framework and CMSDK.
* Any other issue will be device-specific - so check with your device maintainer / LOS team.
Cheers! Have a great day.

Changes specific to our device:
* You need the N2G47O vendor image - DOWNLOAD HERE
The LOS Google Camera bug is still present (where it crashes trying to save 30 FPS videos; 60 FPS works fine) and will be until LOS fixes it. Photos are as they should be.
Gapps still have to be included for now. Required updates should be few.
As always, download link & instructions are in the OP. Dirty flash should be fine, but remember to always clean flash before reporting any problems. Enjoy!

No. Gapps have to be included or full resolution photo backup and ok Google won't work. Probably other things too, but those two come to mind.
Yes I know but I am using no Google stuff. Currently using OctOS and it's great but I thought i ask to try another rom.

This is my latest daily driver which I update occasionally depending on weather I need/want new features. There won't be any OTA's because of work. Do please also check the Credits section, and the Screenshots tab.
Please use the Feature Request tab for feature inclusion requests.
It's also very hard to keep track of bugs reported here in the comments so please, again, use the bug reports tab...
I'm very thankful to everyone commenting, it's just hard to keep track sometimes, and seeing as DevDB has all the features required...
Since I also use XDA Labs which has no DevDB support it'd be best to comment AND add the comment in the required DevDB tab..

FAQ/Frequent Statements
Q0: When ${THING}?
A0: No ETAs. Don't ask.
Q1: You list my phone above but there isn't a build uploaded, why not?
A1: Haven't gotten around to it yet.
Q2: But when will you get to building it?
A2: Damn it, see Q0/A0.
Q3: How often will builds be produced?
A3: Whenever I get to them and feel like uploading.
Q4: But ${THING} isn't working for me. I cannot live without ${THING}.
A4: Not surprising, nougat is still young. Some features aren't ported and some may still be buggy. Maybe this isn't ready for you yet. And don't cry.
Q5: Xposed?
A5: Don't know. Maybe, maybe not. I'll ignore you if you complain about something and are using Xposed. Not out for nougat yet.
Q6: Can I complain about something?
A6: I'd prefer not, but be prepared for me to ignore you.
Q7: Can I report a bug?
A7: Absolutely. Please mention the kernel version and any additional files you flashed. Create a logcat.
Q8: When will you fix ${THING} that I just reported?
A8: Damn it, see Q0/A0. And if your ${THING} isn't something that bothered me, it probably just got shuffled to the back of the line.
Q9: Can I donate?
A9: Sure! Whatever you can. This takes a lot of time.

Just to be sure, you flashed crDroid, then you flash microgapps and then Magisk 13.3 all in one go (no reboots in between)?
Did you finish flashing with wiping of cache/Dalvik cache before final reboot?

I did this, all in one go:
- wipe system and cache/Dalvik cache
- flash crDroid
- flash microgapps
- flash some Sony apps (from Pexomod)
- flash Magisk 13.3
- Reboot

My brother too has heating issue on his Z5 compact since 7.1.1, and he uses pure stock, not rooted... I suggested him to factory reset.
About the camera on this crDroid rom: I think it's snapdragon camera, no bug noticed. Actually, this camera app is said to be very good. I did a lowlight shot last night and my surprise the shot was better than with Sony stock camera, even with Xnext!!
I'll do a trek this afternoon, I'll take some shots with this snapdragon camera (and with opencamera to compare...)
@HaoZeke: Hi, good work. Just asking: does this mean you're switching your focus from LOS to crDroid or are you going to keep them both up and maintained (to a reasonable extent, of course)?
Also, as far as encryption goes - was there any progress since 05-27? I'd like to help with this one so I'd prefer to know where to start.
New release up (based on major crDroid update)
v3.6 Changelog
* Fix OmniSwitch issues and bring-in updates.
* Prevent Magisk breaking Developer Options.
* Add toggle to use 4G icon instead LTE icon.
* More Smartbar customizations
* Fix GIF/Video issues for apps like Twitter on some ROMs.
* Update crDroid file manager.
* Fixes and improvements for libs.
* Updates for Substratum support.
* SlimRecents updates.

Actually... I was busy with my internships so I am totally out of touch... unless Myself5 and the others have made progress, There aren't any changes to the encryption state...
As far as LOS... The official one vs mine was basically about features and optimizations...
I'll be be using crDroid as a base since it already has a bunch of the features I was reimplementing..

Okay brov... Yur review ll be highly appreciated!!!
I love this rom. it is really awesome.
I really want to try your ROM but I'm not sure about MicroG.
I tried MicroG on latest LineageOS (27-05-17) but after setting up MicroG I couldn't connect to Google Playstore.
I did the following:
Wipe System, Data, Dalvik
Flash latest LineageOS ROM
Flash Magisk
Flash MicroG
Reboot
Flash Nanomod-Patcher
I only want to know if I could use only the MicroG package instead of the full Nanomod package.
And can I use Magisk v12.0? Because Viper4Android Module doesn't work with latest Magisk.
thx

FAQ:
1.) What to do if My Phone got bootloop or not booting ??
You have changed vendor, or modified vendor(not stock), OpenKirin vendor will never ever work,, so get Pure stock vendor of your device... it will work for sure... if still not, change you data filesystem...
2.) What to do if my SIMs are not working ??
Go to Extras, disable dual sim, reboot phone,, now read carefully,,
1. Install hex editor app from playstore
2. Make sure you have file explorer with root privileges
3. Open hex editor and find modem,id file on this location root/sys/firmware/devicetree/base/hisi,modem_id and open it.
4. Write down all numbers in first row
5. Then go to root/system/vendor and find phone.prop and open it with text editor.
6. Find your modem id by using search and type 0x3xxxxxx where X is your number from hex reader
7. Then make it look like this:
3.) What to do if my SafetyNet is not passed ??
Update Magisk to latest beta version, tick Magisk Hide and enable usb debugging...

Use opengapps, arm64, version for andrid 7.1 and choose micro package.
Great rom it's very fluid, more fluid than RR that I used so far. I was wondering what are patches for, everything working great whitout them, and is there a way to change size of nav bar and turn off fp vibration.
Unlimited thanks for add the viper4arise......
All are working fine......
hi can you help me i can't find vendor anywhere i had the stock vendor instaled the image, but i have bootloop and can't fix it tried flashing the rom 100times now, my data filesystem is ext 4 to what doi need to change it? tnx in advance for the reply

1st Wipe only Data, Cache, Delvik & System.
Install rom,
Reboot Recovery
Format data, (Now data is F2fs)
Change it to EXT4.
Reboot recovery
Reboot system.
yeah i overlooked the f2fs i changed to ext 4 and it works tnx a lot )))
and tnx mirza a great rom, really smooth
Very nice ROM... very nice... just what I needed actually... this is the amount of customization I was looking for... no bugs so far...
Thanks Hassan!
The only thing I don't understand is, why it's not booting after I install Magisk 15.2... :\
Booted up normally with magisk 14.0... but doesn't want to update to 15.2... (not booting with update)
Also, is it possible to bring back some EMUI apps ? I really liked gallery, contacts & dialer... but hated the messages app...
So, yeah... used this ROM for a day so far... works without any bugs... great so far... (haven't tested OTG yet... don't have the cable... LOL)
Only downsides:
*to me it seems like ROM has poor RAM management... (compared to Elite or Stock roms).
*camera app kinda sucks... I'd like to get back EMUI one... maybe as a flashable ZIP or something...
Everything else - cool AF... thanks Hassan...
