[UNOFFICIAL][TEST WANTED][Magisk][v86][22 Oct] Systemless Xposed Framework for MIUI

@topjohnwu has already released the Systemless Xposed Framework based on Magisk, an awesome universal systemless interface. But since official Xposed Framework is not compatible with MIUI, I am trying a hand on porting Xposed Framework for MIUI to Magisk with @SolarWarez's work.
At first I think app_process should be modified to adjust for magisk path detection. Fortunately, I found that app_process is the same as official release. So I have only a little work to do based on the work @topjohnwu has already done. Since I do not have a device running MIUI, I decide to upload it here to give it a test, although it should work.
Whether it works or not, please report!
Prerequisite:
Magisk is required to be installed on your device.
Magisk v8 - The Universal Systemless Interface
Support Devices:
Devices running MIUI with Magisk V7+
Downloads:
Like the original Systemless Xposed Framework, ARM/ARM64/X86 devices use the same flashable zip (X86-64 is being worked on)
As for system versions, please follow this:
Android 5.0: SDK21 Android 5.1: SDK22 Android 6.0: SDK23
Install Guide:
- Follow the instructions in Magisk thread to install Magisk
- Install Material Designed Xposed Installer instead of official Xposed Installer, official Xposed Installer will not detect the /magisk/xposed path.
- Make a nandroid backup
- Flash the compatible zip through a custom recovery
- Reboot and wait for the magic
- (For uninstallation) Remove the Xposed Magisk Module within Magisk Manager or flash the uninstall zip placed in Original Systemless Xposed Framework Thread
OTA:
It is reported that MIUI will verify the boot partition when applying OTA. So if you want to accept OTA, please flash the stock boot.img first.

Seems miui has its own su file. Try to delete /system/xbin/su in file explorer.

Now, I have proper installation rom (without root). I have just /system/bin/
Nothing in side

I have done the same as in a first post (repacked original one with SolarWarez files), so if my version doesn't work for you, aviraxp's one shouldn't work too. The problem is related to different part, maybe Magisk or other framework, or you have made so many changes in android core. Maybe you can try to reflash MIUI and try again.

Guys...I need to know a thing about MAGISK.
I would install it on a stock dev china rom.
It has a partial root(I can't write on system partition)
Flashify works good to flash .img files (and maybe .zip files)
But, if I want to update OTA every week my rom, I CAN'T install twrp. (I have a redmi3, it has dm-verity and it cause a bootloop with original rom+twrp)
I want to know if I can install MAGISK zip with flashify, so I can use Xposed and ota updates withoit bootloop.

hi everyone, i just want to know if its possible to make a port from youtube adaway and microOG (from ogyoutube) modules to Magisk i think magisk its the best hide root app snice google becomes too evil with root users (bassically, every xda member)

You can modify the Youtube apk yourself and then use Magisk to replace the stock apk. That's about it...
Magisk and Xposed are two very different modifications to your device and they're NOT interchangeable.

I saw a thread about magisk modules there are a lot of modules like viper and others and the developer do a systemless versión of xposed for magisk, so i think a bit about porting xposed modules itself

The word "modules" is not exclusive to Xposed....
There are certain things that you can do with Xposed that you also can do with Magisk, and vice versa. But (and I repeat), they are very different frameworks and are NOT interchangeable.

Magisk = You want to stay on the stock ROM and only need root and maybe a couple of mods like build.prop additions and you don't want to modify your system partition.
Xposed = Your system is modified and you want more deeper OS level mods like custom ROM features injected into your system with the Xposed bridged framework.
Magisk as of now can't add any special custom ROM features unless you modify a whole apk and use Magisk to systemlessly replace the stock apk with the modified one. There is no injecting code into your system like Xposed.

[Module] Systemless Substratum (Legacy/Layers Mode)

v2 Uploaded. Now includes uninstaller in the .zip file under "uninstaller" directory. This can be flashed in TWRP so it removes both the module
and everything Substratum writes in data (/data/system/theme and /data/resource-cache) hence providing you with a total clean slate in case
anything goes wrong. This is your reset button.
Of course you will have to reinstall the module before applying any new theme configuration. Failure to do so, Substratum WILL write in /system.
Uninstaller also available as a separate attachment on this post.
So this is the result of updating my device to Nougat and hating with a passion the white notifications which I find entirely unusable
The only way to theme the notifications is using a Substratum theme. If you're using a custom ROM with OMS support you're good to go
but for the rest of us with stock/TW etc ROMs you can only use Substratum Legacy mode on rooted devices which taints the system partition.
This module allows the use of Substratum themes in Legacy mode, without writing anything in /system.
Instructions:
1. Install module in Magisk and reboot.
2. Apply any Substratum theme.
3. Reboot.
In case of reflashing your ROM, as long as you don't wipe the data partition, the moment you reinstall Magisk, your theme will be automatically re-enabled.
Until the module is in the magisk repo, you can download the .zip and install from Magisk manager.

This has only been tested on my own device, (Samsung S6 Edge+ 928F) running Stock Nougat.
It should work with any ROM and Themes which support the Legacy mode.

Also not tested. If Lineage supports the Legacy mode then yes.
Basic rule of thumb. If Legacy mode works on your rom, this will allow you to use it without writing to /system.

If you download the ZIP from GitHub, it creates duplicate empty folders. If you remove them, it'll work.

Actually it has nothing to do with the beta functionality which allows you to theme NON-SYSTEM apps without root. You can't theme the notifications with the beta for example.
The module allows you to theme everything you can theme in Legacy mode. But without writing in system partition.

Try using the module to theme apps then after reboot go back to core only mode, reboot and check SafetyNet again.

As posted in OP, I specifically made and tested this on TW Nougat.

In the Oneplus 3 stock oos rom i can use substratum in legacy mode, with this i will be able to use themes on settings or android system?

I can confirm it working with LOS 14.1 with Substratum in legacy mode on OP3T with theme Swift Black. I had to choose "v7.1 OMS" in Swift Black's settings.
My notifications are beautifully black now.

couldn't get it to work in a custom stock TW MM 6.0.1 rom for my Note 4. i installed the module, substratum theme engine from the play store and a couple of themes. selected the system ui to be themed, but after a reboot there was no change. the rom is deodexed with a permissive kernel so i don't know what else could be the problem.

This repository is intended to continue the development of the Blob emojis which have been abandoned by the original creators in 2017.
My goal is to upgrade the Blob emojis with a fresh style which is consistent to other emoji vendors.

I don't change any fonts. Please read the source code of my module first.

That's the effect of my module. It prefers blob emojis in nougat than O emoji. So that we wouldn't meet fonts missing problem in other "replacing only" module.

If someone could blob-ify the new emojis manually, could they be added to this module? (or to a fork)

Anyway, I decided to go a different way and used an app called Emoji Changer. It simply backups and replaces the font file using root. The downside compared to a Magisk module is, that the system partition needs to be changed. But this is no problem for me.
@simonsmh You maybe want to create more versions of your module, one for each emoji font (Android Nougat, Android Oreo, maybe more).
As I said, I installed the module and used and liked my Android Nougat emojis. Then an update arrived, I installed it, and had the Android Oreo emojis, which I don't like.
So, is it possible to downgrade a Magisk module in general?

I can't generally understand your meaning. Now does your device have both two emoji like the screen shot I posted above or you just can't see any blob emoji (Android N emoji) and you can only see Android O emoji?
To test it, please visit https://emojipedia.org/emoji-4.0/ and you should see that there is showing up blob emoji. While in https://emojipedia.org/emoji-5.0/ you could see that all the emoji comes from Android O emoji. That's the normal effect that this module does.
There are huge amounts of fonts replacing module, already made by other developer, only if you don't need emoji compatibility.

My situation is/was:
Especially when using Hangouts, on my Phone I have the old Marshmallow emojis, on my PC I have the new (obviously already old) Android Nougat emojis. I wanted them to match. So I installed your module, I think 1 or 2 months ago, then I had matching emojis (replaced, not added), great. The problem started with the last update of the module, I think about 2 weeks ago.
Let me get this right, that your module simply replaces NotoColorEmoji.ttf, correct? If yes, there's nothing to add, read my last post again.
Concerning this blob stuff, sorry, I don't understand this. I'm not experienced in fonts and emojis. I tried both links and I see emojis on the first link (emoji-4.0) and I don't see emojis on the second link (emoji-5.0).

That is probably a bug. Please post up your /magisk/.core/fonts.xml

You should also consider mixing Nougat blobs with EmojiOne 3.1 (and later versions).
I feel like they fit the blobs well, even though they are not as flat as they used to be.

You could do that with replacing notocoloremoji-old.ttf in /magisk/notocoloremoji-replacer/system/fonts after installation by your self.

Hello. Id like to use this, but for some reason both phones I've tried it on bootloop eventually. I can't seem to find .core/fonts.xml and the one in the module's etc folder is 0 bytes.
One of those is probably the issue, guess i should mention I don't see a .core at all. I do have 'view hidden files' on.
Both phones are arm64. One is a Nexus 5x and the other is a Huawei Honor 8, U.S. versions.

Remove magisk completely and try again should solve this problem. Also please upload fonts.xml

This is great, thanks. Replaced Samsung emojis with blobs on my A520F running 7.0 with Magisk v15.2, and I also have none blobs for the new 5.0 emojis.

Homemade NotoColorEmoji with Blobs finally comes in v3.0! Thanks @thayerfox!

[Module] iOS 12.1 Beta 2 Emojis

Hey guys. I was faced with a problem where iOS devices get updated to new iOS versions extremely quickly and with these updates sometimes comes new emojis. In the latest iOS 12.1 beta 2 Apple added support for unicode 11 emojis and as soon as the update is out of beta and released publicly most iOS devices will have the latest unicode 11 emojis. Android devices on the other hand are stuck with whatever emoji set their device manufacture sets for them and have no option of changing them or even updating them to the latest unicode versions without rooting and replacing the file themselves.
In an attempt to be ready for when unicode 11 emojis roll out iOS devices, I have extracted the pngs from the latest AppleColorEmoji.ttc file and have built a font that works on Android.

Latest emojis from iOS 12.1 Beta 2
Issues:
The biggest emoji size that was extracted from the file was 96x96 so emojis might be a little small

This is incredible! Can you suggest the simpld keyboard which is support the unicode 11? Except the gboard, because before I use the gboard actually all the emojis from this module are visible, but the gboard makes my device slow. And now I using the xperia keyboard right now, but still missing some emojis from this module. Thanks

I've heard that SwiftKey has updated their keyboard to support unicode 11 emojis but I can't be sure because I only use gboard. In time most keyboards should be updated to support unicode 11 emojis

Once iOS 12.1 has been fully released and I can find the AppleColorEmoji.ttc file with a list of changes Apple made then I'll update it, currently it's just too much effort to update all the images in the file when only some have been changed

What vesion of Swiftkey are you using? I dont see all the ios 11 emojis on the version that im on. swiftkey 7.1.5.23

No it won't, I haven't added the file which tells your device which font to use so everything should be the same as before just with your emojis changed to iOS 12.1

The one that isn't installed is the first module I uploaded, the one that you installed was originally iOS 11.1 emojis but I gave the creator of that module permission to use my file so anyone with his module just needs to update the module without installing a new module.
They are both essentially the same thing

You need Magisk v17+, searching iOS should bring up 2 results And they are both the same so feel free to install either one

No it won't, it checks your magisk version and will tell you to install 17+
If you want to stay on magisk v14 and want the emojis then you're going to have to do it manually which means it won't be a module anymore.
To do it manually you have to download the file, extract it and navigate to system>font in the extracted file and copy the notocoloremoji.ttf from there to your system>font folder on your device and replace it. Then set the permission to 0644 and restart

it doesnt work on my device. it's android lollipop 5.1 by the way. i've tried to install it manually but it still doesnt work. it keeps showing square box with question mark. does anyone have solution to this? thank you
