What is this? There is already one of these same exact nougat ROMs created... Are you the new maintainer of this ROM? If so, I'd like to see it and good luck, however this version of this ROM doesn't boot on my phone, it just hangs on splash screen.

Although the ROM was good after few uses my speaker and mic not works i did restarting most times still same error even with my headset also equalizer has a bass option but not when i connect with my headset no bass boost only normal sound when i try to edit in to custom style still no luck

Candidate to be Official build

New build is up! Fixed boot and audio!

https://sourceforge.net/projects/dotos-ota/files/osprey/
Official folder is here

Downloading ... official rom that good news, thanks

Cell data errors with a flashing signal on the first boot. Setting the network preference and toggling airplane mode fixes it. App icon shapes are not working. Lawnchair does not always open settings if you long press an empty spot on the home screen. It always works if it is set as a nav bar shorcut though. I can't send any picture messages to my wife. We have the exact same phone, Osprey xt1548 Virgin US. She only gets a blank white square. She's running stock Marshmallow (rooted). I'm running Dot OS 11/24 build. I can receive pictures from her. I can send and receive pictures to myself. I can also send and receive pictures to anyone on any other network, with her being the exception. I dont know any other virgin users to check this against. Pulling the messaging app from Dot OS and installing it on her device allows her to receive my pictures. Not sure what gives. Willing to test some ideas. Have not found any other issues so far.

More bugs related to messaging. Image is cropped to remove the phone number. LTE is enabled. Tried toggling airplane mode, rebooting, changing apns, changing mmsc settings, no fix. I'm getting this with any text to anyone, and I'm not receiving anything. See attachments. Will try to pull logs later today.

lol is normal here

It broke calling and messaging. Restoring a stock backup did not fix it. Even flashing a custom rom did not fix it. Tried ##scrtn# to reactivate, did not fix it. Updating prl and profile on stock also did not fix it. Had to flash factory firmware to fix it. Didn't happen on unofficial build by the other dev. Don't know what's different.

screenshots?

Please include network traffic in the next build.

volte patch work?

Fun fact to notice, real codename of K4 Note is k5fpr xD and now it is been used. ?
Tried the ROM, works butter smooth and liked the UI, must say a great work. There are some settings still yet to come? like modifying the notification drawer icons or changing the status bar actions, will you be providing OTA updates for this or need to re-flash every time for the updates?
Thanks for this ROM.
Wow very good hard work bro plz add volte support
Fastest Nougat Rom ever... Good job dotOS team... But still some features are missing... Please add those on coming builds... Nice operation system... Please add Volte if it's possible... Best Nougat Rom... I loved this Rom than RROS...
Good works bro congrats team
Well done bro. Congrats. Great work. Thanks. Keep it up
I am new to this custom ROM thing so can you please tell me the flashing process step by step? It would be greatly appreciated. I know how to use SP flash tool and stuff. Just need the steps to follow needed for installation. Thank you!
How to install the add-ons like Sound mod and Super Su
Just flashed ... testing rom
Initial impressions
Feeling like in new rom
Animations are ok but not like smoothest
More customization is needed in status bar like network speed indicator
Note:-
All your roms are having this two problems
1)Sim contacts are not visible in any rom
2)Camera Shutter sound always bypass Do Not Disturb Mode
My request:
Please change the icon of Engineer mode.
Confirm first

My K4 Note runs on Android M 6.0 S232. How do I root it on stock recovery? Do I need to flash twrp(ported) to root? And can I flash recovery images in a recovery itself?
youtube will help you

just watch youtube by title how to root lenovo k4 and you will find lot of videos there !!
Anyone can review battery life?
Do I need to have nougat recovery, or just marshmallow? Is the installation like the RR?
About the stock customization...
If you could add them in the next build, that would be pretty awesome... also can you suggest me how to change the default behavior of the hardware navigation buttons, coz the current ones seems pretty out of the box...
Great rom btw

thanks @althafvly. Its super fast rom with no laggy performance. i downloaded the 17 build. My battery consumption is high . Still i love this rom because its having soo fluid perfomance. Any way to get more battery life? does any custom kernel help?
Install 18/11 build.
Bug: WiFi is not working....
Bug >_<
So, wifi is not working , i flash some kernel (squid) and i really dont know if it was the best thing, i mean i love the rom because is so smooth but, idk if the custom kernel breaks the perfomance or something like that (Sorry for my bad english)

Review
Just a quick review after spending about 30 minutes with the ROM.
Pros:
Very fast and responsive
Very minimal bloatware (less than aosp-ext and lineage, and much of it was disable-able)
Very customizable (even recoloring settings)
Cons:
Lacking few key customizations (turn off charging LED)
Sporadic settings hierarchy (many settings were not where I expected, and several settings had unlinked duplicates where one overwrote the other)
Overall I like the ROM a lot, but I won't be sticking with its current form. I will definitely look into it again though because it has very high potential with a bit more polish and refinement. Thanks a bunch for sharing it op.

is there any bugs ?!
For some reason I can only get 3g, 4g will pop up but then go right back to 3g
I ran the 11/18 build for an entire day and I'm sold. Battery life is incredible, it is better than stock Marshmallow. MMS is a little buggy with saving drafts. If you begin a text, delete the text then back out of mms, it doesn't discard the empty text, it still saves the draft. Also, very minor, the charging bolt inside the circle icon is often mismatched (white on white) or missing. The other icons work fine. 4G/LTE, WiFi, theming, phone calls, data switching, Magisk, text/picture messaging, are all working perfectly. Honestly nothing major as far as any bugs I've seen. I'm sure this will be running perfectly in no time flat. I am extremely impressed by this ROM so far. I'm staying on DOT-N. This is what I've been after in a ROM since flashing was a thing. Huge thank you!

Best Another Android
Good battery backup, great performance ROM and finally found STABLE ROM for Rolex. Thanks
Cool
Nice Roms in Rolex
Wow, another official ROM for Redmi 4A. Thank you very much.
Did the hotspot working while data is on ?
Problems In Nougat Frimware=( i have jio sim but after installing nougat frimware volte does not work and the baseband version is unknown).
Problems In Marshmallow Frimware=(after lockscreen screen does not get black , a dim light continuously glowing)
rom running perfectly.no fc etc.hotspot ok.volte donno bcoz i never use it.but i curious for baseband version.it show my baseband version is unknown.is it ok?.
I'm getting this weird bug where you won't be able to boot into recovery/fastboot/bootloader at all. Overall the rom is great. I was unable to flash anything at all not even flashing recovery. It will always end up getting rebooted. When the phone was put to sleep I noticed that the screen still lit like it was still wake up instead of sleeping it

Changelog?
I love this ROM. It is very light on my device.
Thank you! This ROM is by far the best custom ROM for Redmi 4A, IMHO.
But there is a problem with display backlight, because it won't turn off at all.
I tried to install different stock ROMs via fastboot and different recovery versions
before installing the dotOS, but nothing worked for me. The problems is still there...
Does this rom have OTA updates?
It seems like the setting to disable tap to wake is broken, even if it's disabled it keeps the screen on which results in fast battery loss. I would also add that when the settings theme is changed to dark then it appears to flash white when changing windows in the settings app. The hotspot works though so that's nice.
EDIT: PROBLEMS ARE FIXED NOW At first I installed just the nougat version of MIUI before flashing the ROM using Xiaomi flash tool, which worked nicely, but to achieve the bug-less route I had to flash MultiROM Firmware ZIP, which is written at the top of the ROM list, that I guess I ignored. Now it works perfectly and it's one of the prettiest ROMs for this device.
The latest Magisk works ( 15.3 at the time writing this) and passes SafetyNet, I can achieve atleast 5 hours of screen time. which is pretty nice, based that I had less than that in Marshmallow. Viper4Android also works (Magisk module).
Why I can't enter in freeform window mode? It's bag?

So, anyone tried this rom already? Any feedback?
Why does it say GT-I9505 in the screenshots?
Oreo ?
So, I finally tried this ROM. I installed it with the latest BeansGapps I could find and SuperSU 2.82.
I'm impressed. It has nice animations, a lot of customization options, and is super fluid with the default settings. The few included apps seem to function well and the included launcher looks like Google's Pixel Launcher, but has many setting options. The default kernel has many CPU and governor tunable settings.
I haven't used it long enough yet to tell what the battery life is like, though I can say it didn't seem to lose much overnight.
If you're thinking about trying a new Nougat ROM, from what I've experienced so far, I suggest giving this one a try.
Update:
So the battery life when the phone is asleep is tolerable, but not great. The battery life when the phone is awake is maybe normal for the N4, but in my opinion it drains way too quickly. I've changed governors and their respective settings, turned off unnecessary things like gps, wifi location scanning, bluetooth, nfc, wifi, auto-sync, Google assistant, etc and I can only make it a marginally better.
There is no LTE support that I can find.
On the plus side:
It has navbar cursor arrows when typing, which I think should be a default feature of Android and don't understand why it isn't.
It has the a really nice looking lock screen clock.
It has the fastest usb adb file transfer rates that I've seen on the N4.
Another update:
I thought I'd give this ROM another try. I found that:
* If you block enough wakelocks (which has to be done through a 3rd party app) you can get tolerable battery life. It's still not good, but it's better than bad.
* This ROM doesn't seem to suffer from the WiFi disconnection bug, or is it the kernel (I was using Sinai). Either way it was pleasant to not have to deal with the issue.
If you're not overly concerned about battery life and want a nougat ROM, I still suggest trying this one.

How about battery consumption
Any update on oreo
just installed this rom and been using it for quite a bit its very well built and havent experienced any software issues so far i am very please and impressed to release a stable rom this good so soon. Although the battery life is terrible from 6:50 - 15:50 (on flight mode) the battery when down from 100% to 82% i think this is quite poor as on the xz rom it went from 100% to 97% in flight mode during the same amount of time if you have any kernel suggestions that i can install to help the battery much will be appreciated
Looks great but I'll wait a little. But to see any others feedback.
:good:

Hello, Can anypne tell me how to get root in this rom?
I'm on Z5 dual, E6683. I flashed the rom and its super smooth. Customizations are awesome. I have flashed almost all custom ROMs for z5. Among all of them i love this ROM. I can say, it is the best. But it doesn't support dual sim. The first sim alone acts as a dual sim too. The second sim is not detected. I tried to flash the baseband too. But, no luck.
I want to stick around with DotOS. But, dual sim is important for me. And reverting to some other ROM. If anybody got any solutions, kindly help.
Thanks in advance!!
Is it possible to disable the proximity censor with this rom?
Unnecessary info ;p
Think I have some dirt of some kind between the glass and the censor. The screen goes black when putting the phone to the ear, but it wont activate again until a while after the other person have hung up. If I'm lucky I have ½ sec to click the hangup button if I press the powerbutton... So it's either flashing the phone or buying a new one (Though can't find a good replacement)

Same problem here. i'm using Xperia Z5 Dual E6633.
Noob question !
does it have/need DRM fix? or do we have to do that ourselves. (I have no idea how to do that though)
Also on SO-01H there is black screen after boot logo for almost ten minutes. is it normal? or is it not for docomo variant? Please respond. Thanks.
Edit: It goes into bootloop. Did clean install.

Anyone??
Sad that still every LineageOS based ROM got low audio recording ... anyone knows what value to modify in mixer_path.xml?
All hints i found seems to not work with the z5.
Thanks
