Any Stock Apps Removed By Sprint? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions & Answers

I'm planning on getting the Note 8 this weekend from Sprint, but I want to know before I make the dive if Sprint has removed any stock apps from the Note 8? I got the LG V20 last year to replace my Note 7 and Sprint had removed stock apps like the gallery, music app, email app, etc to force us to use the Google apps.
I've been searching around Google and other threads here but I haven't found anything about this so far.

The only thing I've noticed they have removed is the Caller ID and Spam Protection that is offered by Samsung.

just brought the 7000

Just got the 7000 note over the Att note even though the att note as lte... seems like the international some how is more stable.. i do have a few questions.. Did I make the right choice to get the international over ATT note?
1. I cannot download the samsung apps that are in the samsung apps application.. It gets me to the sign in screen but then I cannot get beyond the sign in screen .. I do have an account and it has been verified.. Anything I can check to try to get the applications downloaded.. it was an icon on the phone..
2. I have so many facebook contacts but I dont necessarily want theire emails/phone numbers appearing in my contacts.. i just want to be able to add phone numbers and emails on my own.. There is some kind of sync i am sure but I just want to be able to add phone numbers to my own do i save them to the sim card the phone the sd card.. i dont know where they are so i need help with that
3. Also how does video calling work.. . I would like to use it but I would like to know how it works..
4. I notice the unit shuts off sometimes when its dark is that normal it does a full reboot..
5. Is there any galaxy unlocked note like in canada that would have a toggle between lte/hspa+ . I think there is one in Canada.. i may prefer that one.. but i didnt buy the att one due to disableing fm radio and such...
I will probably have more questions later..
Seth
I am not overly Familiar with the ATT note (other then reviews) but I will try to answer as many questions as I can.
1. The Samsung APP sounds like the Samsung App is crashing (if its not displaying anything after loggin). Check to see if there is any software updates for your phone. If not you may need to do a Factory reset,I would not do this is you are running ICS as it could harm your phone.
On the plus side Most apps in the Samsung App-store are also available in the Google Play-store.
2. Go to Settings > Sync Settings and chose you Apps (Facebook, etc) in its setting un-tick the Sync Contacts Box
3. Yes Video calling works fine for me
4. Full reboots are not Normal but are normal caused by a application that is misbehaving. Finding it will be a process of elimination.
5. I believe all the LTE notes should be able to drop down to hspa+. The problem is that there are quite a few different LTE frequencies and no 1 Note can use them all so you are pretty much locked into buying it from your Carrier.
Hope this helps
video calling samsug apps
I am running ics at the moment on the international 7000 I'm happy with the phone still can't download apps from the samsung apps store i think i fixed the contacts problem there must be away to download them
i didn't find the apps in the google play store

[Q] Note 3 Safe To Freeze List

I have been looking, and while I have found lists for S4 and S5, I haven't found a Note 3 specific list of apps safe to freeze. I finally got tired of my phone having wakelock issues, and S Finder annoying me, so I finally rooted. First order of business is freezing all the bloat. If anyone knows of a good list, or if the S4 or S5 lists will work, I would much appreciate it

Check the development section. There is a debloat script that you can run to get rid of all the Samsung/AT&T bloatware. However, that requires you to have recovery. If you just want to freeze some apps that you don't need, you can use that debloat script as reference to manually freeze some apks.

Me, too! I just rooted mine and installed Titanium Backup Pro to freeze some of the applications that I KNOW are useless bloatware. My problem is; despite freezing them, when I reboot my phone, they come back like a bad case of the flu.
I need to stop the madness. My battery is dropping like a madman.
Uninstall them, that's what I did

Package Disabler - App Lists

Hello All,
I got my Note 8 the other day and want to get some apps disabled. I got Package Disabler working just fine, but want to know what people are freezing on their devices.
I know on my S8+ I froze a TON of apps and processes, but on the Note 8, I want to keep a few functions such as samsung pay/android paid, bixby and perhaps a few more, but just wanted to see who's doing what.
I started my own list of the apps on the Note8 using Package Disabler but then switched to BK Disabler since I couldn't get PK working after I downloaded their paid plugin.
I still have to load up the Bloatware and System apps listed and then will start removing stuff. But I know that I'll keep Samsung Pay, Air Command etc. Not sure about Bixby. I still haven't tried it out to fully decide if I want to keep using it or not.
Yeah this is my first carrier branded phone in years an my first Sammy so I would appreciate a list of things that can be disabled....
Well, part of the problem is different carriers have different bloat, so maybe include carrier in your list.
Go ing to try tthis o it.

Full page ads by google every couple of days

I'm having a problem with ads by google. I restored my note 8 from a note 4 and have all my apps that I've been using for years. Nothing new. Now with the new note 8 (unlocked version) I get a full page ad for the google app store about every 2 days, just some random app to download.
This shows up when I pick up my phone and unlock it.
So I've gone into the app store and made sure all notifications are off. I turned off all notifications from any app I don't need notifications from. I've gone into the google ad choices on my google account and turned off ad personalization. I've removed pretty much removed all the google apps except play store and play music.
I called Samsung and they had me remove my google account from the phone and reinstall it. I was told it will ask for permissions and it never did.
I'm ready throw this dam thing because I can't get the ads to stop.
Today I put it in safe mode to see if it happens over the next couple of days.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
What launcher are you using? The stock Samsung one? I never get ads in the home and lockscreen even back when I didn't habe an ad blocker installed.
You are getting a pop-up ad, then I don't think it has anything to do with notifications. I suggest you start uninstalling apps one by one until this problem stops. It is most likely an app on your phone doing this. Start uninstalling in the reverse order you installed them in. There will be a rogue app causing the problem.
I think I found the app. A network signal app that people complain about popup ads. Hopefully this is the issue.
thanks

Question T-Mobile Visual Voicemail App

Hey guys! I know it's gonna sound like a real noob question but here goes:
Why does T-Mobile not allow us to use the stock visual voicemail app for our phones?
I have an unlocked S21 ULTRA. I was also test driving a Pixel 6 Pro recently and I was able to use the stock Google phone integrated visual voicemail app.
The moment I switched back to my S21 ULTRA the little dialog box advised it needed to update sim data and poof - there went the Samsung stock visual voicemail apk. Just gone, disabled, deleted or hidden. Is there a setting to allow for that? Or are we pretty much stuck using their **** software?
