Hey there! Unfortunately I do not... I wish there was though! If you are rooted there is always TiBu, I used to just do that until I stopped rooting my devices a few years ago. Thanks for reading my post!

when you create a task and go to Tasker action, there is something called Set Tasker Pref. You can use this to set different aspects of Tasker configuration, isn't this what you want?

That method can do a few things however it will handle a very limited amount of items compared to my list. Hope that helps!

[Q] Accessibility Services: "OK" buttons aren't responding

While I had it working before, now I cannot activate any of my apps' accessibility services. When I click on the switch, the I get a dialog box that asks me to "OK" or "cancel". The "OK" button is non-responsive. I've tried to turn on switch access with the same result.
Because of this, I cannot activate Tasker. As many of you can attest, this is akin to a disaster

I was kidding.
It's a very powerful app that lets you set profiles (like at work) and actions (mute ringer etc), and is a favorite of a number of people. I am only able to program very rudimentary tasks, but in this particular community, not being able to take advantage of its features would be a hair-puller......ergo, the emoji I chose.

Task execution issue

Hello people,
I don't know if anyone else is experience this but I thought I mention it. Also I apologise if this is the incorrect place to start this thread, but I have looked on xda for a tasker dedicated section for troubleshooting.
Now I have a automated WIFI profile that basically enables whenever I load a specific app. But for some strange reason it does not always execute, when a specific app does load and other times it does?
Does anyone else notice this strange behaviour going on with tasker?
If so is it a bug that needs reporting or is there something wrong with my profile?
Thanks in advance!
In Tasker settings/preferences/monitor put to "Always" the Use Reliable Alarms option.

You can test the Task by manually executing it. Maybe you're using a plug-in that requires permissions to run.

If I run the task manually everything executes just fine.
The task does use one plugin and thats for secure settings, but thats about it.
UPDATE: I think I might know what the problem is, and I think that tasker is unable to wake the device to execute the task, so I added a wake device action in my task and see if this works.
In LL and MM there is battery optimization where Tasker and Secure Settings should be excluded. Other 3rd party battery saving apps might also affect the operation of Tasker and its plugins.

This is true I had taken the advice from here >
As far as I am aware tasker and it's plugins are whitelisted from other 3rd party on my device, so I still don't understand why it still does not work unless I add the wake device action from secure settings.
Any luck on this? I'm noticing that tasker is very slow to execute any actions outside of the app. Meaning, if I create a task that simply has one step..."beep". Next, add that task as a shortcut to my nova launcher desktop. Click the shortcut...it takes almost 30seconds for it to execute the beep. I've been a tasker user for years. Not sure why this lag is occurring.
Tried this...
Tasker is not battery optimized.
Reinstalled Tasker.
rooted Pixel, 7.1.1
I have the same problem with my periodical Wi-Fi check.I have to add the 1 second CPU wake, but it's still not very reliable.maybe the best way to get over this is turning on the screen, but this is kind of defeat the purpose for me so....
any other suggestion?

There is one thing that you can try go to Tasker > preferences > misc and untick reduce resource usage.

I have tried the screen wake function, but even then it doesn't work.
I did notice however that Google connectivity was causing issues for me, such as not able to connect to my ap automatically.

Chnange audio profiles based on location

Hi
I have installed on my phone the app audio profiles with a tasker plugin
I've created a tasker profile that turn my phone on vibration mode when I'm in a particular location, but now how can I disable vibration when I leave this particular location? Which kind of profile I must create?
If you profile is GPS or cell location then surely you just need to create an exit task. So once the profile isn't true it'll run the exit task, which you can determine what is in there.
Thanks.
So, if I understand, I have to simply long press on my profile (vibration mode) and choose "Add exit activity".
Then after choosen the exit activity my phone will run this activity when I will be not anymore in the profile's location?

Hold on the current entry task and this will give you an option to add in the exit task, so either create new or choose an existing one. Hope you get it sorted out [emoji106]

hello, i am trying to make a tasker profile that opens a specific application (apk) when the speed drops below 4 kmh only with the GPS because i do not have any sensors. Unfortunately I am still not able to set the variables in the Speed well and if I need a secure setting plugin for the GPS. Can you lead me towards success or advise me how to get started? Thank you

I'm afraid I've not looked at any of the GPS settings or functionality. Try a search on the internet, you might find something.

[Tasker] 90Hz/60Hz Refresh Rate Per App Changer Mod

I made a tasker profile, It will turn to 60Hz when opening certain apps. Maps for example and then when you exit the app it will go back to forced 90Hz.
Method 1
!!!This will overwrite your current Tasker Settings!!!
1. Download and open Tasker
2. Click on the 3-Dots > Data > Restore > User Local Backup > find refreshrate.xml and restore it. I have it set for google maps app only, u can add more if you want.
You should see in
3. Profiles > RefreshChanger
4. Tasks > 60Hz and 90Hz
How to Install and Use video
Method 2
This will keep your current Profiles, Tasks and etc...
1. Download and Unzip File to Root of SDCard
2. There should be files in Tasker folder
profiles > RefreshChanger.prf.xml
tasks > 60Hz.tsk.xml and 90Hz.tsk.xml
3. Open Tasker
4. Press and hold on Profiles then Click Import Profile and Choose RefreshChanger
5. Press and hold Tasks then Click Import Task and Choose 60Hz and then do the same for 90Hz
Done!!!
Select Apps
Tap on Refresh Changer in Profile section and you will see Maps, click on that and will allow you to choose your own apps. Choose the apps you want set to 60Hz.
make sure you have root access for Tasker.
Thanks to @C3C076 for code.
added video of how to use
I would recommend sharing just the Tasker profile and tasks rather than what you did share. What you shared has the potential to delete the data in Tasker.
You shouldn't need root for this, just grant Tasker the WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission via ADB.

Probably not even this is needed as setting for refresh rate is stored in Global settings, not in the Secure settings.
what's wrong with Google Maps and 90Hz? didn't notice any issues so far

Zooming or moving the map is slightly laggy, not rendering at 90Hz.

Just curious which other apps aside from Maps has issues with 90Hz?
Would be nice if users reported them here to get a list going!

I was able to make kodi wotk with this tasker mod however it is really annoying that you need to switch back to 90hz manually.

the point of the tasker mod is that when you exit the app you set to 60Hz, it will automatically revert back to forced 90Hz outside of those apps. So not sure what your issue is. What method did you use?

Probably a myriad of apps; instagram/wikipedia included. It's weird because, sometimes during the rendering lag, if you take a screenshot, you get a very weird looking image that looks like 60/90hz shifitng back and forth.
Hey,
I edited your xml and added also support of apps which should use auto 90hz (like for YouTube which does not need 90hz for video streaming ) -> this increases battery life
It works.
I purchased Automate long time ago and I wish someone could do the same 90hz auto switch profile
I tried this xml using tasker, however after 7 days of trial my tasker app expired.

Tasker Tips: Automate Any Setting!

Hey guys just wanted to share some tips I've found.
1. If the action you're looking for isn't within Taskers list of actions. There's a good chance that "Custom Setting" will accomplish what you're trying to do. You can control almost anything with Custom Settings and control settings that usually requires ADB to accomplish. Check it out.
2. If you're unsure how to do something, check out other projects. Usually you can find new and complex patterns that help make sense of a situation.
3. To make your dialogs and fonts look good and stand out, use html tags.
Example: <b><font color=green>This text will be green and bold</font></b>
4. AutoTools and AutoInput is a must have plugin for any Tasker enthusiast, however the rest can be ignored as most of them have been implemented into Tasker over the years except maybe AutoNotifications if what you're trying to do involves Notifications.
5. There's a 99% chance anything you want to accomplish can be done using Tasker. You just need to dig deep to find the method of accomplishing it.
6. Be sure to give Tasker WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission and any other adb specific permission. It's a one time thing and gives Tasker tons of power.
7. When creating open source projects you intend to share publicly, try to use as few plugins as possible. If there's a native Tasker method, use it. Use as few permissions as possible. Use Tasker's native command options instead of AutoApps.
8. The better you understand variables and arrays, the more you'll be able to do. Once you understand loops (if, for, etc) and variables, you're ready to start making projects. Always use local variables unless a global variable is required. Use project variables instead of global variables if the variable in question is only used within the same project. Global variables should only be used when you need to use it's value universally across Tasker. Take note, that once you start using an action that requires dynamic monitoring, Tasker will always monitor that action requiring more memory use.
