AOD turns on but the lock screen reappears instantly :/ , but in 7.0 it worked perfectly
AOD doesnt show to me, when I turn on the screen, it only shows for a split second. Prometheus Lite rom btw

can be fixed in chainging build.prop lines ,to set system model to j7 or something like that ,i read that in j7 aod worked

I don't have a J5 but an A9 Pro 2016 running stock Oreo and just like you, my aod only shows for a split second and then disappears.
Can you tell me what do i need to edit on build.prop to make it work on Oreo? Do i need root too?

Can anybody port AOD for j7 2015
It ported to j7 2016 (you can add show aod settings in settings->display), but it needs some changes in kernel to full work.

Can you give me the download link for the kernal and other required files.
I'm using Glance Plus and it works pretty well. No need for port IMO. You can tweak it a lot too

How's the battery consumption by Glance .
Does it drain battery.
About 10% more and that's because I have Ok Google on any screen so it put the phone on listening mode
Also I can turn on screen with double tap which is nice

I think what he wants to say is that the app is present like on maxx 's rom but it needs kernel modification to work properly. For me, if i tick the aod on, it hogs the phone and i need to pull the battery out and restart it.

Can you try it without OK Google? I'm curious how much battery it uses. S7 Edge uses about 1.5% with AOD on and about 1% per hour without anything on.
S7 has built-in compatible hardware so it comsumes less battery
And here we are again. Just got few updates about S8 Touchwiz Apps. Tested only on Touchwiz Nougat!. Some may work also on MM.
Not so much difference between S8 and S6/S7 Nougat apps, anyway this thread will also be a placeholder for possible new functions inside next Flagship, once it will come out.
Install as a normal apk, I repeat that these apps only tested on Touchwiz Nougat, don't blame me if they're not working on MM.
Edit: some of apps appear to work also on MM devices

Just installed the music player. You aren't supposed to have Marshmallow or Nougat ROM to run it because it worked well on my Samsung Galaxy E5 running 5.1.1 Lollipop. It was a bit laggy and it crashed the first time i ran it but when i opened it again the lag was gone, it didn't crashed and everything was working well. Thank you so much for the port dude. Loved it <3

No bro, AOD isn't supported at the moment, we will see in future

Good job, all basic functions works on Edge+, like Wi-Fi, HotSpot, Mobile network, blue-light filter, private mode.....
ROM control is great, floating camera button, S8 style too.
Edge feeds doesn't work, Night clock can be set but works only one short moment during waking up screen by power button.

Now I used F4 infinity and i can select no root in aroma installer, install Snapchat, log, and reinstall select root and its all ok in Snapchat.

It looks like you need CSA2. I first tested it with CSB3, but it didn't work. After changing to CSA2, it runs smoothly. But I can't say if it was really the FW ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In the lineageOS thread somebody had the same problem, rebooting fixed it.
Edit: So far youtube works fine in browser, but google play music won't work at all. I can't play anything.
Also what is this display filter,it makes everything way too light and it occasionally flickers on and off, when off everything looks normal.
I have already disabled LiveDisplay.
Otherwise everything looks good.
Edit2: Spotify works
Edit3: Clearing play music data fixed it.
Edit4: Changing color settings under livedisplay fixed the light filter.

Flash the latest official bootloader and firmware with odin and start from scratch.
I wouldn't recommend flashing the firmware zips from the mega folder.
Flashing the cbs3 vendor img works fine.
Edit: The new build is way better.
Cpu usage is normal now, no lags like in the first build and battery life is back to normal.
@PureEnergyy Any info about signature spoofing ? it says system has support for it but its disabled, and cant not find any settings to enable it ?

iOS 13.2 Emoji Magisk module
This module is kinda self-explanatory, it replaces your default emoji font with the iOS 13.2 emojis!
How to install:
1. Open Magisk and go to the modules page
2. Click on the plus icon and select the downloaded zip file
3. Wait for it to install and reboot when it's done
4. Enjoy!
Compatability:
The module should work on most Android devices, if you use a Samsung device please use the Samsung version if not use the other version. ROOT is required in order to use the module since Magisk won't work without it!

I'm not responsible for any bricked devices! Eventhough I'll always try to help you out of a bootloop or with any other problems, I won't take responsibility for anything caused by this module. Use it at your own risk!

What exactly doesn't work? Does it show when someone else sends one of the new emojis? Doesn't it show up in your keyboard? Doesn't it install at all? Please provide some more information and if needed a screenshot so I'll be able to help you.

1-Download the font and rename it to SamsungColorEmoji.ttf
2- Navigate to /system/fonts and replace your original font
(Don't forget to buckep your original font)
3- Change the permissions to rw-r-r (0644) and reboot your device

It does not work, new emoticons are not displayed in the Google keyboard.

Yes and no, some keyboards don't support it yet, all keyboards that support Android 10s emojis should be able to show the iOS 13.2 emojis too. I suggest you use Gboard since it's always the first to support new emojis.
i pulled notocoloremoji.ttf file and copied it manually, thanks

I am using Gboard, could you make sure the emojis show in other places? (?) This is one of the new ones, if you can see it please try to clear Gboards storage, if not get back to me!

It doesn't seem to work on Samsung devices but you could try to manually replace your emoji font file

Ok, so it has been replaced in your system, it is indeed an orangutan. Have you tried clearing your data of Gboard? I'm 100% sure Gboard supports these, I'm not sure about any other keyboards.
