Does anyone know if it's actually possible to change the Xperia home version as i tried to install 11.0.A.0.3 which is the current version on my Xperia XZ onto my Xperia XZ1 Compact and it just kept saying App not installed. I used an APK file btw

There's a strange transition animation in settings app..have you noticed that?
I was looking around here trying to get the stock honami launcher and the apps, and I found a way to get the stock honami launcher and apps on my odexed rom, but I didn't realise it was posted in a forum for the xperia ZL. So now when I turn on my phone I get a load of messages like "System UI has stopped" constantly and nothing will work past the lock screen. I did find a stock rom that I can flash, but its over 700 mb and I dont have that kind of internet at the moment but can anyone tell me where I can get just the stock Xperia Z launcher and the apps so I can Flash them? Thanks in advance!
I just found out that the pc companion picks up the phone as the ZL? how do i reverse it back to the Z?

Yeah that's what I had to do in the end, I lost all my stuff though. But it seems there was no way to add a Z launcher without losing everything? I should thank you for your reply, but I can't find the button?
The "Xperia" Theme disappeared after I updated my Xperia Z (6616) to FW 4.4.2.
I know this seems fairly unimportant, but did anyone else notice this? I really liked the Xperia theme, specifically the unlock screen that showed the lit up world at night. I think I might have noticed it under the Xperia Z1 forums but wasn't sure if that download was compatible.
Is there somewhere I can download that theme for my Xperia Z or would I have to revert to the previous firmware version?

The Sony Xperia Z3 has just been announced and there's already a system dump including applications and whatnot!

Now my question is, do any of the applications somehow work on the Z1, and if so which ones are actual updates to the apps the Z1 currently has? I'd love to get the new Home Launcher thing from Sony with the larger icons, but extracting and installing as .apk file from the system dump source won't let me install anything I've tried. Now I do have root so I might be able to flash the files, but I do not want to mess up my phone and I barely have enough storage to make a new backup.
So I'd love to know if anyone has already tried installing something.

Hi guys. Just got a few questions on the xperia z
Using the unbranded australia 5.1.1 ,basially the latest offical build.
1. How do i change the lockscreen clock to look like it did on 5.0?(the defualt sony clock which has 2 digits on top and.2 at the bottom )
2.what was the latest kitkat build number ?
3.does anyone have links to latest kitkat build ftf ?,tried to download by xperia firm but didnt have it (want to downgrade but having trouble finidng aus unbranded kitkat ftf)
4. Your thoughts on the latest build ?

*searched forums aready and didnt find what i was looking for .
1. Go to Settings/personalization/Clock and choose the clock you want. Or on Lockscreen hold on the clock until it shows name under than swipe left or right to change the clock.
3. XperiFirm have only the latest firmwares that are on Sony's server which are for PC Companion and SUS, so if you can't find ftf here or on xperia firmwares (it was something like that) your out of luck.
I'm relatively new to XZ so i don't know about kk, but with 5.1.1 it's all good and i like it, except that the sound is very low for me (which can be moded)
