Same trying to go from B115 all I've tried fail although I'm not trying through adb I've only tried with extracting update.Zip to dload on sd and doing *#*# method but think since android 7 this method no longer works you have to flash the files via adb but that's a lot of hassle, I also have locked bootloader so can't try the twrp method atm

I think we will recieve oreo. (Honor 8 lite)
https://www.xda-developers.com/huawei-oreo-emui-8-pro-9i-7x/

I know that they are basically the same device, but honestly I don't trust Huawei until I see "P8 Lite 2017" in that list

That is the same device. In my country, on my device, about phone sayz Honor 8 Lite.

Das sieht doch ganz gut aus:
"Hier ist die Liste, der Huawei Smartphones, die Android Oreo in Deutschland bekommen werden:
Huawei P10
Huawei P10 Plus
Huawei P10 lite
Huawei nova 2
Huawei P8 lite 2017
Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design
Huawei Mate 9"
https://www.huaweiblog.de/software/android/oreo/huawei-android-8-update-ist-mein-geraet-dabei/

Of course it is receiving the oreo update! Huawei update politics has always been very clear with a minimum of one big version leap for every device, plus, this one was released on 7.0 and hasn't been upgraded to 7.1 just because of waiting to 8.0... Heck, even Huawei G7 (shipped with 4.4) updated to 6.0 two years after release haha

We'll get oreo update on 2Q according to this link
https://www.theandroidsoul.com/huawei-oreo-update-release-date/
I read in other articles will get Treble Project support too..so let's wait it.

Yes, firstly Huawei said that it will be released in the Q1 of 2018, after a month they corrected it to Q2, this is the official time what they saying now, but who knows. (I apologize, for my bad English)

I've never seen an official statement by Huawei, therefore I am a bit pessimistic. Probably will sell the phone before it gets Oreo (if it will ever get it).

P9 has, Honor 8 has and there is beta out for P9 Lite but for P9 Plus nada, zero, zip, nothing. Chinese VIE-AL10 has had plenty of EMUI5.0-firmwares for months so it looks like Huawei:s European offices aren't particularly interested in this model and is not pushing any updates. Makes the prospect of my next phone being Huawei dim.
It's a pity since P9 Plus is a gorgeus phone that works very well, but if not receiving any updates it's seriously crippled.

Yes, that's Africa and Asia, but it's not Europe and contrary to Samsung it's not that easy to crossflash firmwares on Huawei as they are more locked to a region than what Samsung is.

Its also easier to update honor 5c because there are two phones with the kirin 650: honor 5c and huawei p9 lite. They can port the ROM from one phone to another.

My dream is to have AOSP Android 8 on my device :'(
Yesterday I have already written this, but is has disappeared anyhow.
I know that Android 8 on Honor 6x will come. Both devices have the same system. If Android 8 should not come for the PRA, I can port it quite simply from 6x.
Result: We get it!

So, why we had not receive, and we'll never receive, the 5.1 update...?
I'm not so sure that the P8 Lite 2017 will recive the Android 8 update.
Huawei's policy about updates is pretty clear: they don't guarantee updates to newer Android versions but only patches for 2 years.
I really hope we'll receive Oreo, but I'm pretty sceptic until Huawei will not officially announce it.

I had already read this article, and it says "L’aggiornamento dovrebbe quasi sicuramente (ancora nessuna ufficialità) arrivare per:" (for non-italian speakers: "The update it's almost sure (still not official) to arrive for:") , this is why I'm still sceptical about it... :fingers-crossed:

A few members in the Honor 6X forum met up with Honor/Huawei representatives in Delhi in August and they confirmed that the 6X will receive Android Oreo/EMUI 6 by the end of 2017/ January 2018 at the latest. So good news for us!
I asked Huawei about this on Facebook and they said there's no info available yet. But we should get it, it's a 2017 device, that already shipped with nougat.

[China] P10 lite Oreo BETA

http://cn.club.vmall.com/thread-15160990-1-1.html
I see nothing about P10 lite
Its P10 lite global model for region China. AL00C00 is mark for mentioned models. Also, its about beta testinfg, but models Al00C00 have issues with google play apps, of course, because they dont use them, or precisely those apps are not allowed in China. If someone want to try beta version must perform debrand to mentioned model Was-C00Al00. You can find it in our archive of oeminfo here in section for p10 lite.

No source, just experience with other models. Let say p10 plus beta testing was in november 2017 and just now start rolling out official version of Emui 8. It took few months for those testing. Also, same situation was with P9 lite during upgrading from Emui 4 to emui 5.

[Confirmed] EMUI 8.0 / Android 8.0 Oreo Release Date

So today I asked Huawei about Huawei GR3 2017 being updated to EMUI 8 and they confirmed that it'll get the update in September
