enable OEM unlocking - Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone...i need help i already got unlock permission but i cannot enable bootloader to be unlocked...any help?

What's your ROM version and which one exactly?

This is a common issue. You can either keep trying until the switch stays on and no error message appears, or flash the official Dev ROM and then switch it on since the problem only occurs on the Stable version.

If you didn't unlock the bootloader, then it could.
Using it right now, found a bug in Google Photos backup settings (can't turn on backup, but backup works)
Antutu is lower than China Rom but still great.
As I had to unlock bootloader to install rom, safetynet doesn't pass
I just received mine from post mail, first thing I did was updating. Everything successful so far.
Can we lock bootloader after flashing this? For Safetynet, etc?
Hi friends, i just bought Mi 6...this is my first Xiaomi and im on China rom. If i instal Global rom ( for instalation i must unlock bootloader ) does i will recive OTA update of Global rom ?

If you want to relock the bootloader with fastboot command, make sure you have the stock recovery before you relock the bootloader. Or you can use the flash_all_lock.bat if you use Mi Flash program.

I will get my MI6 in the next few days. Are the bluetooth problems gone with this ROM? I use bluetooth every day in my car and not having a good bluetooth connection would be a real dealbreaker.

Most likely because it is a beta build, although the latest stable is far from stable. Or possibly because he may have used it to fix the camera bug people have been talking about. In any event, it seems like he took the risk and successfully downgraded.

Flash global or eea on global beta?

Hey guys,
I was on global beta but since that's dead now, I tried to switch to global eea V 10.2.26.0 but I couldn't.
I got an error that's said " looks like the rom security patch secure version is lower than the current one ".

That's the only way?
You can try this tool https://forum.xda-developers.com/Mi-9/how-to/guide-xiaomitool-v2-flashing-eea-ru-cn-t3934966
But best way is unlock bootloader and use Miflash to flash Global and lock bootloader

That's really annoying from xiaomi, if you are going to end the beta that's fine but give us a proper way to revert to global.

What is exactly your problem with unlocking bootloader for reloacking it again after flashing your desire rom?

Question eea rom on indian device

once bootloader unlocked can we flash eea rom over an indian device and relock bootloader?
You can but don't lock the bootloader
Will the banking apps like ICICI, Indusind paytm etc work when bootloader is unlocked.? I'm really tempted to unlock it and flash the eu rom
Possibly not while unlocked but not flashed, so just in case, flash the EU ROM as soon as you unlock. One common issue after flashing and installing twrp is that some bank apps see the empty twrp folder and won't install. Just delete the folder, it has nothing in it, from your internal memory before installing your apps.

Of course if you do find you don't like it or have any non resolvable issues, you can flash back stock and lock your bootloader again.

NO, I've literally just installed xiaomi.eu rom 2 days ago, first thing i tested was banking and payment apps with bootloader unlocked, everything is working PERFECT without any issues.
i found a few minor bugs with this rom. but way less than the bugs i found with original global rom. battery have dramatically improved and device is so smooth. Honestly, i didnt expect it to be this good. i'll try it a bit more.

You have a Chinese device where the bootloder has been unlocked to install a Global version and now you know that you can't unlock the bootloader without breaking it.
Restore the phone to its original state then you will flash the global version.
