You will need MHL adapter to do that.

succes on MHL adapter ?
original samsung or other brands ?
S3 mini is not mhl compatible. It has neither a 7 pin or 11 pin microusb socket. Also tested with the cables.

Also confirmed by Samsung . Nothing to see here people, move along

You can output videos via wifi if your tv supports it.

Yeah. DLNA to be more precise.

I known dis posts old but if u don't have a TV with WiFi support like mine. What I so is turn on my 360 slim connect to my WiFi at home connect my s3 mini to that same WiFi then stream songs videos and pictures straight to the TV . If using stock ROM when watching video look at top left corner will be a icon of TV should have a number in it if it detects your TV through your ps3/4 or Xbox 360/s thanks.

Anybody know if there is an app out there that can cast rtsp video streams? Can't find anything out there. Just want to be able to cast my IP cameras.

Real player used to support RTSP (probably still does) but that doesn't mean it will support Casting to a CCast.
I saw that tiny cam pro has chromecast support, but I can't get my cameras to pull up on the app so I am not waisting my money on the pro version. I just tested on the lite free version.

Seems everyone is charging for the CCast support these days! LOL
Yeah I would be sure it will work before you buy and if it can't do it in the app itself no way it will work with CCast.

EZCast allows you to stream your camera live to your CC, albeit with a little bit of lag. Not sure about other apps.

Stream Videos direct to MilkVR

Hi
I did already post it here once, but I think nobody recognize:
the milkVR app is able to play all kinds of videos. Flat 2D, Flat 3D, 180°, 360° ... aso. MilkVR is also open to stream videos via http. I did play around with it a lot and it is working verry well.
This is the reason why I made a android app that will forward urls to milkVR to give a way to send the adress to milkVR. This will work with video sources from the internet, DLNA Media servers and all kinds of web servers. NAS, emby, Plex or wireless HDs.
try it, it is free and open source ... =)
Check out my MilkVRLauncher https://github.com/heavykick/MilkVRLauncher/releases
There is a very big faq in the wiki.
Sweet! Can't wait to try it out. Thanks for sharing
I will also try it when I get back home. Looks promising.
Edit
Just tried it and it's. . .it's. ..it's AWESOME!
For me it's so far the best option to watch 3d movies. The quality is just awesome comparing to cardboard players.
Very very good job.
maybe a stupid question (yes it is) but can I also use it when my phone is unrooted. (Still to recieve the VR).
of course this is no stupid question: You don't need root!
My app does not do anything crazy. It only creates one file in the /milkVr folder and calls a milkVR:// url ...

This is great! Gives me access to my plex archive AND live TV via Mediaportal & Ampdroid
One note: i had to manually create the milkvr folder in the root of the internal storage. But it has been smooth sailing since then
Live tv work very good with enigma2 and transcoding.
Big THX

Hmm, regarding movies and all other local content, it seems that plex -> external player refuses to do reencoding, thus all matter of trouble with unsupported codes and very high bitrates (especially a problem when on LTE or outside wifi)...
Also it seems that MilkVR will stretch the videos to full 16:9 regardless of contents original aspect ratio (4:3, 2.35:1 etc etc) ;/

Why did your .APK trigger a reinstall of Samsung Pay? This was on a stock S6.
No idea dude ... I would say It's random and MilkVRLauncher isn't the reason for the reinstallation ...

Thank you! I will try it!
very cool, thanks.
One weird thing, for some files I can just click them in a file explorer and your app appears as open with. For others (both mkv) your app doesn't appear and I have to open it manually and I have to actually type in the path, which is taking some time... Is there a reason it sometimes appears and sometimes doesn't? Once I have the path in your app one way or the other, it works great.
Thanks!

Hi
I have no idea ... But I found a bug: The app will not longer appear for https streams. Bugfix will go live soon ..
Which file browser are you using? Local files or files on a network storage? Smb?

Someone an idea: Starting MilkVR via MilkVR Launcher... but any video/stream I select ... MilkVR starts with its little Jingle/Logo... but then it hangs, screen stays black. (MilkVR Version from "Indian" Thread, Note4 GearVR Innovator Edition)
Hi
this may be a problem with the codec. Can you play the video with the stock video player?
Gesendet von meinem SM-G928F mit Tapatalk
@heavykick Thanks for your work. I'm in love with your app.
I have question for you. I think I can launch only one video each time, is this correct?Do you think that could be possible create a Playlist or a queue? Now we must stop and start, put, remove...the Samsung Gear, and a playlist could be a great addition.
Thanks!

Playstation 4 running on GearVR through remote play

Playstation released their new RemotePlay today and so I figured I'd get it working on my GearVR. I used the app TriniusVR to stream the remote play from pc to the gearVR and it works! It doesn't have head tracking but it's still a pretty bad ass choice.
Screenshot of it running on my Samsung S7 Edge
https://photos.google.com/share/AF1...?key=YjZRazNyZ19BWjRiQWcweWVwN3hmbFBudTVIN1RR
If you do this you need to have TriniusVR set to COMPATIBILITY mode on the PC, (it's an option in the triniusVR program). It defaults to fast
Great, respect!
Will try it also after getting some sleep.
