Hi everyone, I just upgrade my S4 to S5 and I transfer everything by TB, so far seems everything ok, but there is one problem, there are lot of notes under my S4 S-Memo apps, I think only "Memo" Apps on S5, I am able to export all my notes from S4 to google drive, but I only able to use Samsung account only on S5's Memo, and I don't know what folder is S5's memo located, I really needs those notes cause I using lot of them everyday, can anyone please let me how I can able to get those notes works on my S5? thank so much....
If you search in the Samsung app store, they have an app called "Smart Switch Mobile". Install this on your old phone and on the new and it will automagically transfer and convert the notes into the new s5 format. Worked wonders for me!

I also received that error, but then I ran it again and then - MAGIC! It converted my memos!
I had try many times and still not work... really dont know what to do to get all memos from s4 to s5...
Ok, my mistake....it actually looks like my old s memo is now in s notes. ....

On my note 3, I could back up everything under Samsung Cloud in setting and restore. However, I do not see that setting under my S5. Could someone help?

The app you should be looking for is Samsung link in your apps. I don't remember it being there before a bunch of push updates from Samsung's app store.
Hi folks, one of the things I used the most in my last 2 note devices was taking notes with the screen off and then those notes (memos) were saved in SNote which because was syncing with Evernote would send those notes to my inbox in Evernote. This was a very good process for me.
I just bought a note 8 and noticed that the notes are being saved to Samsung notes instead of SNote, and apparently Samsung notes doesn't allow to sync with Evernote anymore.
Has anyone found a workaround for this?

Have you gone into apps settings and set the Samsung as not default and set the snote as default?

Tried that, no luck, the app is not predefined for anything, yet all screen off memos go to Samsung notes instead of SNote.
I believe that Samsung is trying to replace SNote by the new Samsung Notes, but the last one is nowhere near the capabilities of SNote.

Just to update this thread, I still can't save the screen off memos to S NOte instead Samsung Notes but at least I was able to get back action memos (I still can't understand why they were removed) by installing S Note version 5.2.04.25.
It's unbelievable that Samsung screwed up their S Note app by replacing it with Samsung Notes, having inferior features and no Evernote sync option.
If I am not wrong, things have been this way since the Note 7, so for more than a year. They really need to get their act together.
Sorry for not posting anything useful, but this really bothers me. How are notes useful if you can't sync them to your other devices?
I am going mad. is there at least a way to sync that bloody samsung note thing with the PC? without samsung coud stuff?

yes , you could sync your notes with evernote and access it via PC
thats not an option. Thought about a samsung x64 dealing with it. What is the filename samsung note stores in?

You can, with S-Note. Unfortunately, no such option with Samsung Notes (the new app).
Anyone know how to get Samsung Notes to sync automatically or on a schedule? I have a Verizon Note 8 and Tab S3 and want them in sync. I have to remember to go into the menus and do it manually now.

Settings, Cloud and Account Settings, Samsung Cloud, there activate synchronization of Samsung Notes...
There is no Samsung Cloud on Verizon devices. Hence the question.

Really? Does Verizon have their own cloud service? If you go into the settings for Samsung Notes or Gallery, do you see the option to sync to Samsung Cloud?
Any app or any method can do it seamless?
Samsung has their Smart Switch. That is what you will need to use.
