Installation Steps
Make sure you have this twrp installed
Make sure you have latest modem and bootloader installed from here
Make sure your phone is charged to at least 70%.
Download the ROM and patch zips (if any), and transfer to your phone
Boot the phone into Recovery Mode
Do a FULL wipe: Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, System
Flash rom
The first boot may take 15-20 min

Q: How to report bugs?
A: If you want to report a bug make sure you include:
-device variant / modem version / bootloader version
-detailed info about the encountered issue
-steps to reproduce the bug
-logs - about how to take logs
Q: What's the difference between these 2 Lite roms?
A: J5 2016 rom has themes support, J2 2018 rom has clipboard. Personally i use clipboard everyday, maybe some of you do same and i don't use themes at all.. For me J2 rom is better. But if someone would rather use themes and ditch clipboard, can use J5 rom. Therefore 2 roms.
Q: Sound quality is low, what to do?
A: Go into Settings>Sound>Sound quality and effects>Advanced, move all the equalizer dots on top to 10db and back to 0db. Equalizer will reset now. You need to do this only once for any playback output (headphones, speaker, bluetooth).
Q: Phone is asking to reboot because sim changed, what should i do?
A: Reboot once and see if it appears again. If yes reboot again.
Q: Phone asks to wipe data because operator changed, should i wipe?
A: Try to cancel and just reboot. If you can't do that or the popup still appear, reflash the rom and wipe from aroma installer.
Q: GPS not finding my location, what to do?
A: Install GPS Test, enable location services from settings, go outside and wait for 20 minutes.
Q: How can i disable/enable navigation bar?
A: Reflash rom without wiping anything.
Q: Where are navigation bar settings?
A: There aren`t any navigation bar settings because the rom is ported from a device without native navigation bar.
Q: Why camera can`t be fully fixed?
A: Unfortunately camera can't be bugless because old device - old camera drivers, so we need to live with a bug, choosable in aroma:
- Video recording bug - Video recording works only in Footej Camera (already included in the rom) but focus is fully working
- Focus bug - Video recording works in any camera app, but focus is half broken (works 1 of 2 times)
Q: Why volte/vowifi will never work?
A: Network is partially working now because we use marshmallow network libs. For fixing these 2 features we need nougat compatible network libs which we don`t have. Hence this, volte/vowifi can't be fixed and will never work.
Q: Why native blur will never work?
A: Native blur requires blur libs from another snapdragon phone with same android version 7.1.1, only two phones now matching these two conditions are C9 pro and Note 8, and the blur libs make the phone bootloop, so will never work.
Q: Why FM Radio will never work?
A: In order to fix sound on speaker i needed to find a device with same speaker amplifier and same android version (7.1.1). After months of research i found it, but it was a tablet without FM radio. Since Samsung uses different output paths for FM, no FM for us too.

No smart capture/screen recording, i wanted to keep it clean. Game launcher is there. About private mode, i didn't had time to make it work. My main concern was and still is mobile data for sim 2, but i couldn't fix it on time. Will see what future will bring us. Regards

These listed "files" are meant for BCM2079x nfc chips by Broadcom but A5 has a S3FWRN5 chip by Samsung

I know about the issue, i'm trying to figure it out. CSC or phone details have nothing to do, all i can think is that it might be kernel related. I suggest you don't change things in the rom because you can end in bootloops and i won't give support for that.

About battery life
Will the battery life better than the A8+ port, because the a8+ rom drain my battery very fast

Follow in Aroma choose whatever you want and wait until installation is done
Flash this sensor fix (thanks to rinkashime_014): sensor fix
Don't reboot right now : flash either arter97 kernel (e330s user you must flash this one), Kiffmet kernel or Dehawk one

THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! Place this file to your root/etc folder. Rename your old init.qcom.post_boot.sh to init.qcom.post_boot.sh.bak
and replace your old file this new downloaded file chance permissions to 0644, and reboot your phone.
If you don´t already use, then chance your governor to interactive. And you won´t believe results. PLEASE try first at the non-oc kernel, so you get the idea how big change is started in your phone. After you have get the hold of it, the you cand try oc- version.
And I quarantee, your phone feels totally different. Multitask, speed, everything.
I made that file weeks for your pleasure. But be careful, on top of that wrong settings can harm your phone. But just adding this file do no harm to your phone. So test it and tell me what do you thin of it. It also can use of course with arter97 kernels, but governor must set to interactive.
What comes to installing doj2 kernel, if you have some kernel already installed, you can just flash it on top. If you do clean install; install first firework and without reboot doj2 straight after. Wifi and everything should work. Best results come with oc-kernel.
I am not responsible if u damage your phone by doing something against my advice. Ask and I will advise. And please take into count, it was my first, not counting practice versions and I made it over a month. But it really works

You should use 9.0 (i making change and pointing to the right one) I tried 11.1 kernel and it made micro lag for me too but with 9.0 all was okay

you should wipe data first.

I have successfully flashed the rom and it is working very smoothly !!
I'm using A710F Indian variant.
So i didn't flash any CSC that was provided during the flashing process (Since the 3 CSCs provided were of Korea).
Now, the only issue I'm facing is that the one of my sim mobile data speed has come down from LTE to 4G.
Could you please provide me India CSC (INS) so that the network starts working again.
Can i install this rom on a710fd?

Do you have any odin firmware for your device? If so, extract cache.img and post here please.

My network provider(JIO 4G LTE) supports VoLTE & in the stock rom I have no issues in accessing VoLTE.

There is one more issue:-
Videos in landscape mode rotate in the opposite direction of viewing.
If i rotate my phone, the video also rotates in the opposite direction.

Installation steps
Proceed only if you updated Bootloader and Modem to Oreo! (info here)
Make sure you have twrp 3.x installed (download from 2nd post, install instructions here)
Make sure your phone is charged to at least 70%.
Download the ROM, and transfer to your phone / external SD card if you have encryption active
Make sure OEM Unlock is on in developer settings
Boot the phone into TWRP
Do a FULL wipe: Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, System
- If you come from stock rom, probably encryption is active, you need to format data partition in twrp-wipe menu
Flash rom and boot (first boot may take 15-20 min)
If you face any lags/hangs at first boot, reboot 2-3 times and it will be fixed
uncheck diagnostic data in setting wizard

A: Download Logcat Extreme and take a look at this.

A: Yes, that is very normal and very intented. Do not change it or you will break features.
Q: TWRP can't mount data partition, what to do?
A: Make sure you formatted data partition if your previous rom was stock.
Q: Phone is not booting even after 20 minutes?
A: Try to reboot. If still not booting, make sure you formatted data partition if your previous rom was stock.
Q: How to format data partition?

A: Reboot once and see if it appears again. If yes reboot again.

Personally i didn't had any issues and i clean flashed 3 times today.. Also none of my testers had this kind of issues.. Try to wipe again and reflash, maybe will be solved by itself.

Performance is good, feels smoother than nougat. Didn't tested to much things, will see gaming and some benchmarks later.

There seems to be a problem with Wifi & Bluetooth. Whenever i turn Wifi on, it takes about 20 seconds to turn on. Bluetooth doesn't work at all.
Here are the logs. I first Tried to keep my data by just wiping stock ROMs system partiton and caches, but the bug still persists on a clean install too(didn't take logs from clean install).

Everything else seems to be working fine.
Note: The log is from unwiped data test, so it might have other issues, though it didn't seem to have any.
Also this is not my device, its from a friend. I can actively test stuff tomorrow.

Find Helios Pro kernel thread and flash the latest 2.0, it has fixes you need, because obviously Agram didn't include them in ROM.

Is there a bug in this rom version 1?

Some personal thoughts:
- you should read at least install instructions stated in this post - i won`t offer support for any issues regarding installation;
- press 'Like' button instead of saying thanks - it will keep the thread clean and keep me motivated to do more;
- if you take any of my work without my permission(files, flashing method, fixes or anything else) you'll be reported, and most likely it'll be taken down.

Safetynet needs magisk with MagiskHide enabled to pass ( this makes unlocking the device with pattern and such impossible and you need to flash a separate file to fix it )
NFC isn't working
Knox Apps, spay, etc won`t work
Report bugs at support group if you find any.
Installation Steps (Important):
Install latest TWRP for M21 from here and follow all instructions there. Please note that any other TWRP versions will NOT work.
Download ROM zip and repartition zip and push it to your device/ext sdcard.
Boot to TWRP.
Flash repartition zip and reboot to TWRP again. ( you might get failed to mount XXX partition error after reboot but they can be ignored )
Do a clean wipe (data, cache, dalvik/art).
Format data if you're coming from stock and didn't flash TWRP before.
Flash the rom zip through TWRP and select desired options in AROMA installer.
If the installer warns about not being able to apply CSC tweaks, report that to support group along with your region.
Flash magisk 21.2+ after setting up your device to root.

FAQ
Q: Phone is showing YYY model but my phone is ZZZ model, is that normal?
A: Yes, that is very normal and very intented. Do not change it or you will break features.
Q: Why OEM toggle is missing in this rom?
A: I disabled it to be sure nobody gets locked by mistake.
Q: Magisk app not showing, what to do?
A: Download latest Magisk Manager from here and install as normal app.
Q: My phone shows locked because "Payment services was uninstalled without authorization", how to get rid of it?
A: Unfortunately you need to reflash rom, no wipe needed. Also don't try to debloat the rom again or you will have same issue.
Q: Installation failed, what to do now?
A: First of all make sure you have the pointed twrp. If the problem persists try to redownload the zip and/or reflash with selecting less things in Aroma installer. If you still have the problem, probably your device is not supported.
Q: How to report bugs?
A: If you want to report a bug make sure you include:
-device variant / modem version / bootloader version / region
-detailed info about the encountered issue
-steps to reproduce the bug
-logs
Q: How to take logs?
A: Download Logcat Extreme and take a look at this.
Q: TWRP can't mount data partition, what to do?
A: Make sure you formatted data partition if your previous rom was stock.
Q: Phone is not booting even after 20 minutes?
A: Try to reboot. If still not booting try to redownload the zip and/or reflash with selecting less things in Aroma installer and/or make sure you use the pointed TWRP and/or make sure you formatted data partition if your previous rom was stock.
Q: How to format data partition?
A:
Q: Phone is asking to reboot because sim changed, what should i do?
A: Reboot once and see if it appears again. If yes reboot again.
Q: Phone asks to wipe data because operator changed, should i wipe?
A: Try to cancel and just reboot. If you can't do that or the popup still appear, reflash the rom and wipe in Aroma installer.

I am having problems with this ROM. Frequent non-causal reboots, NFC does not work, record pro video does not work
Completely unrelated but in the telegram channel, a havoc os gsi for m21 was posted and I have it flashed on my phone. But the corners get rounded so much that clock and other stuff isn't visible. Any fix for that? Here's an image for that...
First true Custom ROM for Galaxy M21, can't thank you enough for full OneUI experience, I hate that on Core Version clipboard is no where to be found.

OneUI Core is a lighter version of OneUI, it doesn't come with some of the functions that are on mid-range and high-range products.
Alright I got some problems shortly after initial setup.
NFC is not working. I cannot find settings for it, it shows as enabled in Quick Bar, after long pressing it Settings app crashes
App Lock. After pressing it, settings crashes
Can't pass basicIntegrity as well as ctsProfile in Magisk. (FIXED: Forgot to enable MagiskHide, disregard this problem.)
I'm using SM-M215F with XEO region. How do I get NFC and App Lock to work?

well yeah, I don't have NFC support on my M21 so i couldn't check whether it works., also forgot to mention it in bugs applock here and on all supported CSCs works flawlessly, so i don't get your issue there. Also safetynet fix breaks lockscreen(you cant set lockscreen pattern and such) so you need to flash a fix that'll revert the safetynet fix which will make lockscreen working again

Hmmm is there a way to change my CSC to other one? I remember getting this option on other OneUI based Custom ROMs, maybe that would make it work.
About SafetyNet, I'm not expirencing any problems with Lock Screen it passes basicIntegrity and ctsProfile with MagiskHide enabled, and Lock Screen still works fine.
If you want me to send something regarding NFC, let me know I'm more than happy to help out with it. In terms of overall usage, it's a good ROM, those two are the only problems I encountered so far.
