Charging my Galaxy Note with a 0.7A charger from Galaxy S2

Hi, I just lost the charger of my Galaxy Note but I have a charger of my last Galaxy S2 which still works fine but it has only 0.7A output. I remember Galaxy Note comes with a 1A output charger.
So is it safe to charge my Note with that S2 charger which has lower output A?
Thank you guys!
The worst thing that could happen is that it'll charge slower. But there is no risk on charging with that charge.
It's completely safe. It may not charge as quickly, but it's okay. To my knowledge, you could even use a 2 Amp charger without issues if you wanted.

[Q] 2.0A Charger from 10.1

Hi! I have a Note 10.1 wich cames with an 2.0V charger (instead the N7000 1.0A charger), what could happen if i charge my phone with the 2.0A charger? Will it destroy my phone? Reduce the battery life or something? Futant55 compared the Note1' 1.0A vs the Note2' 2.0A in his N7100 and the 2.0 charged one hour faster than the 1.0A. Thanks!

it will charge the battery faster but in long term reduce the life of battery and may also damage the micro usb port.. they are made for certain voltage only..
Dont do it! I did just that, charging galaxy note n7000 using galaxy note n8000 (10.1) charger, its really fast at charging, very convenient just to bring one charger. After 2 month, my n7000 start to flicker whenever it drains under 20%. since I was using otterbox, never realised the battery is already buldging, even the battery door not holding to the case!.
Come to think of it, i think maybe my board is also faulty after using the n8000 charger,

Use Note 3 Charger on Gear

Guys,
Is it safe to charge the gear (on cradle) with the Galaxy Note 3 charger - rather than using the charger gear was supplied with in the box?
There is a difference, Note 3 Charger is 5V, and Gear Charger is 4.5V.
Its headache to carry both chargers when im travelling...
Thanks!

my gear charger is in my computer usb
so there is no difference really, the internal componants in the gear and note3 change the voltage to 3.7 volts anyway
usb is a standard and should be 5volts, or between 4.5 and 5

I haven't tried it but have read that higher amperage chargers like the Note 3's don't charge the Gear 2. Devices only pull as much amperage as they need so I don't think it will hurt. You might want to wait for an expert to chime in though.
Its the amperage you have to be concerned with. Most, if not all of the newer devices these days have smart sensors built-in, so higher amperage will not be an issue, the gear cradle will only pull what is needed.
If the charger cannot meet the specified amperage, ie lower amperage, the device will charge much slower, but it will still charge.
The voltage is not that big of a concern, most chargers have anywhere between 4-5V specification.
devices only take what they need *laymens*
devices only draw as much current as they need
a 315mA battery will not draw 5A of current
im a electronic engineer
Thanks a lot for your feedback guys!
I've tried to use my samsung 2.0amp charger and the watch won't charge. I have to use 1 amp charger or lower to work

I charge my gear 2 using my note 3 charger. Works a dream. Like was said before the battery on the gear will only pull what it needs.

has anyone noticed that the note 4 charges in about 1 hr to 1.5 hours max to fully charged? i have or is something up for it charging so fast?
Standard feature on the Note 4. If u look ad the adapter it's putting out 9 volts.

do you think we will see problems in future with batteries needing to be replaced sooner because of this fast charging
I turned off my fast charging option.
Yean I appreciate the superb fast charging. Is it bad to use my older note3 chargers as spares on the go?

It's not bad at all, you can still use any cell phone charger to charge the Note 4
just like we have done when we had the Note 3.
The thing I am wondering about is if can safely use the new Note 4 wall charger
to charge other peripherals like mice, keyboards, wireless headsets and so on.
I used to use the samsung S3, S4 and note 3's wall charger to charge lot's of things.

The batteries are chipped. Phones are chipped. And even the adapter has a chip. You can use your note 4 charger to charge any device. It just won't give the full output as other devices will tell it not to. etc.etc.
Thread moved to Q&A where it should have been posted originally - please post in the correct sections, thanks.

Anyone still using note 5 with ORIGINAL BATTERY?

If any of you are still using the note 5 with samsung original battery (never replaced the battery)
Kindly help to measure the mAh
I bought a few after market batteries, i can never reach near 3000 mah on this phone with USB multitester
The reading on the USB multi tester showing max around 2300 mah.... (from 0% - 100%)
I do not know if making this thread will help..
Have not been back here for many years..

how to measure
Thanks for replying. I purchased from Amazon a very inexpensive tool called "usb multi tester" it can test like the amp being charged to the battery of the phone etc... it is straight forward setup. Costs like $9. It shows the voltage of the usb cable. Amp and capacity when the battery is fully charged.
Replacement batteries are poorly made and I consider them as a fire or explosion risk. If a battery fails I get another device. Phones are not built to be repaired.

Thanks for replying. I've bought many fake batteries for my note 5 (though they look exactly the same to the original one) to test and also have bought a few from trusted sources.
But none of these batteries could be charged up to 3000 mAh via usb multi tester to measure the amp being charged to the battery.
