[Mudule] Root Call SMS Manager Patch - Magisk

[Mudule] Root Call SMS Manager Patch
THIS MODULE ITSELF IS NOT A CALL BLOCKER, It is patch to work this Root call manager properly with Magisk
Introduction :
Basically I was not using Magisk for two purposes (Even though there were many good aspects to have magisk, but ultimately it's matter of priorities)
1.Broken Dumpsys
2.Root level call blocker was not working which is must app for me. (I know about two root call blocker available on play store)
Since Magisk V15 bring dumpsys so finally thought to look into root call manager so I can use Magisk with it's awesome Magisk hide functions.
Module :
Root call SMS Manager available on play store have mentioned some work around to use with magisk but didn't worked for me.
I have looked into it and sharing here a module which I have made for me and working fine on my Samsung Galaxy Note8. I believe it should work on more devices as well so sharing here.
Installation :
1.Download attached RCM Patch 1.1.apk and Install as regular app
2.Clcik on app icon from drawer
3.Grant su permission
4.Keep patience while it activate module.
App is self destructive and will get uninstalled once module get activated.
Reboot device when asked/app get uninstalled.
Un-Installation :
Magisk Manager - Module - Root call manager Patch - Delete from here
Tips for RCM
- In System setting, you should set proper "submode' according your device
- Wait after reboot option recommended to keep 0 but if you need to increase, better keep below 20 sec.
Disclaimer :
I am not owner of Root Call Manager app, Just made a module and shared here to work application correctly with magisk root. Any query regarding RCM should go to proper channel and not here.

Can somebody confirm, what version of Magisk you are using?
From my end the apk is not working with the Magisk 18.1. Please, can you updated it?

Thanks you

2 Solutions! Problem w/ MagiskHide being disabled after reboot/closing MagiskManager.

Magisk Hide (Masking Magisk SuperUser) - 2 Problems w/ Magisk Hide being disabled after reboot or closing Magisk Manager.
If you are using Magisk Manager and Magisk Root and are experiencing difficulty with Magisk Hide (Masking Magisk's SU) not showing in the Manager's side-menu or remembering its status in settings, it occurs when a file is not automatically deleted and removed.
PROBLEM:
Open Magisk Manager, Settings >> Enable Magisk Hide, close Manager, re-open and Magisk Hide is disabled and not visible (hidden) in the left side-menu. i.e. Exit, Close, Stop, Re-Open & Reboot Reset's Magisk Hide's State to Disabled.
SOLUTION 1.
Force stopped Magisk Manager.
Backup then Delete file /data/property/persist.magisk.hide (0600).
Launch Magisk Manager.
Go to Settings >> Enable Magisk Hide.
Go back to Manager home screen. Swipe to reveal side-menu and check Magisk Hide menu is visible.
Close Magisk Manager or Force stop.
Reopen and Swipe side-menu and confirm Magisk Hide is still visible!
I hope this helps others also experiencing issues with Hiding Super User SU. Thanks Shak!
SOLUTION 2.
Another Fix someone else has also posted Dec 2017 was in regards to an error "fopen: /magisk/.core/magiskhide/hidelist failed with 2: No such file or directory"
The issue is due to Magisk Manager being unable to save the list of ticked Apps to hide from SU to /magisk/.core/hidelist.
Check the existence of the "/magisk/.core/hidelist" path.
Create the "/hidelist" directory.
CHMOD "/magisk/.core/hidelist" to 0644.
Thanks to Dunderball. :highfive:
.
Thanks a lot! I have been looking this issue up for almost a week now.
Solution 1 worked for me.
No worries mate. Appreciate the feedback.
Someone else had a similar issue for a few weeks and was unable to resolve it until upgrading to 16.4 beta. But this isn't viable for everyone due to issues w/ 16.4+.
Thanks!

I would like to add to this thread that this doesn't work anymore with the newer versions of magisk. Eget did work for me though was to delete (and backup of course) /data/adb/magisk.db and then restart

which version you use ?
I use version 19.4, wont work if delete magisk.db.
LineageOs 17 on a Nexus 2013 Flo
Magisk 19.3
Magisk Manager 7.3.2
safetynet always fails after a reboot.
I tried renaming magisk.db and while magisk kept working generally, m-hide still fails the safetynet test after a reboot until I toggle hide.

How to make a bakup?

[Magisk v17.3] help needed.

Hi!
So this is my first post on xda, so please be nice
I rooted my Samsung s8 sm g950f with ambasadii, and running magisk.
When I first flashed the rom everything went ok. The first time I entered the Magisk Manager app there was a note that said that I can update the manager app to v18.1. When opened the app got a message that the app was unsupported by magisk manager. So I flashed the rom again and just didn't updated the manager app. That's one problem, here is the next one.
When I enter my banking they use a 2 step verification system. I have to go to the phone and enter a code that verifies the login. Now since I've rooted the phone I can't use it, is there any solution to this problem? The banking app does not support either a rooted phone. One of the reasons I rooted with magisk is the Magisk Hide. But I don't think it is working for me . The verification goes through the sim card.
Let me know if you need some more info to help me solve this problem!
PS: I am new to rooting
Thanks!
Welcome to XDA, Magisk and root world.
Quick tips:
Every time before trying the problematic app again, under Android settings/app, stop it and clean its cache and data. Even better to unistall it, reboot, install it again from play store. Even better before reboot go to recovery mode and wipe cache, dalvik (only those!).
Hide Magisk Manager (=repack it with a random name). You do that on Magisk Manager settings menu. After that its visible name will be only Manager (on your app drawer).
read everything here, special attention to SafetyNet and hiding other rooting tests apps may use:
https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/HomePage
install MagiskHide Props Config module and use its improve hiding settings: (available for download on the Dowload menu of Magisk Manager)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-magiskhide-props-config-t3789228
Try updating Magisk/Manager to 18.1/7.0 (last stables):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
Do backups and try updating to last Canary builds. Read last posts on its thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/dev-magisk-canary-channel-bleeding-edge-t3839337
Maybe the module ShellHide works better than standard Magisk Hide on your device, I don't know. Read thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/magisk-shellhide-t3855616
For general Magisk support, usually better search and ask for help on official support thread:

Didn't work either. I guess will have to wait for an update. I have tried so far:
Settings > Magisk Core Only More - On
Magisk Hide - Check against the banking app
Clear app cache
Reboot
Also - Magisk v19.3, Magisk Manager v7.3.1(222)

disable developer mode?
and you need to hide magisk manager itself.not just magisk hide.
Try executing
Code:
su -c chmod 000 /proc/net/unix
in a terminal. Several banking apps now use a very stupid and shaky root detection heuristic that is circumvented in this way.
(see https://github.com/Ingan121/UDSBypass).
A banking app on my phone (keytradebank, belgian bank) worked fine with Magisk Hide but after an update stopped working.
Disabling read access to /proc/net/unix did the trick for me!
Looked it up, this rootbeerFresh code is really brain-dead, even the presence of busybox will make isRooted() return true
No concern for false positives at all.

Remember that app says it COULD be root.
If anyone is paying attention to it yet.
Also
https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magis...and_other_apps_wont_install_or_doesnt_show_up
Busybox
Some apps detect Busybox and see this as a sign of your device being compromised (rooted). Magisk should be able to hide any Busybox installed as a Magisk module. osm0sis has a great Busybox module available in the Magisk repo (install from the Magisk Manager, under "Downloads").
Figuring out if an app has dependencies, looks for "sensitive props", Busybox, etc
It can be tricky figuring out if an app is dependent on another app or process for detecting root, expects certain prop values, doesn't like Busybox or whatever is triggering a root warning within the app. Apart from trying one thing/prop at a time, finding this out could mean you have to decompile the apk to look at the source code (use search), grab a logcat when the app is detecting root, etc.
Detecting apps requiring root
There are apps that detect known apps that require root and refuse to work properly or even start if that is the case. Usual suspects include (but aren't limited to) busybox apps, Xposed installer, root hiding apps, etc.
This can be worked around by uninstalling or possibly freezing (Titanium Backup can do this, among others) the offending root app when you need to use an app detecting root apps and reinstalling/unfreezing it afterwards. Cumbersome, but it might work. There are also some Xposed modules that can hide apps from other apps, but having Xposed installed might cause other issues with tampering detection...
@mrspeccy Thank you for pointing out that workaround. Works for me too for the Keytrade app

yes, in a terminal on your phone or using 'adb shell'
be aware it's not a permanent fix, a reboot will restore the old permissions on /proc/net/unix
so you have to remove read access after every reboot.
Quite clumsy.
To make this easier on the go, I installed termux, created in the home directory a small file 'hide' with the one-liner,
Code:
su -c chmod 440 /proc/net/unix
Note: 000 works just as well, but 440 is closer to the original permission and works too.
so after a reboot i open termux terminal and type the command
Code:
. hide

Try these...
1. From your magisk, install these 2 modules: Riru - Core, and Riru - EdXposed (Sandbox or Yahfa is okay]
2. Reboot your device to activate both modules.
3. Install Xposed Installer APK by DVDandroid. You can get it here: https://dl-xda.xposed.info/modules/d...v33_36570c.apk
4. Reboot to activate the Xposed Installer app
5. Inside Xposed Installer app, go to downloads and install the HiddenCore Module.
6. Reboot and go back to Magisk, and hide.
7. Test to see if everything is now okay.

Nope! It Doesn't Work With SBI YONO Or BHIM.
My Cofidis app also keeps detecting root.
Have latest version magisk, latest version of magiskmanager and renamed it. Magisk is hidding. App is in magisk hide list.

Running latest version of lineageos on my htc u11. I think the issues started when I installed the latest build (11/08).
Any suggestions to fix this?

Update 1 March 2021
V1.2.0
V1.3.7 Updated 15.May.2021
(Note: No Saparate App and Zip, App Will be Installed Automatically)
For Newer Version Changelogs and Downloads:
LsPosed Github
Changelog
Spoiler: See
Fix manager white screen
[*]Support split-apk modules (LSPosed will choose only one apk with xposed_init to load)
[*]Fix manager crash when launching an uninstalled module from notification
[*]Load modules with SharedMemory (it can speedup app cold launch) 2
[*]New manager icon
[*]Fix incorrect update notification in the first installation
[*]Fix some apps not showing in the scope list in some rare cases
[*]Show notification of module uninstallation
[*]Prevent modules from hooking inner methods (methods from XposedBridge's classloader)
Note:
Previously LSPosed only recognize modules from the primary user. However, this strategy is not good and leads to some problems: some modules require getting installed app lists for configuration but they cannot do so across users; some require reading themselves from the hooked apps but they cannot do so from non-primary users; some users want to configure modules differently on different users which is not feasible previously. Thus LSPosed now requires every module to be installed to the user on which the apps they want to hook are installed. Some devices restrict modules from installing onto some users. In such a case, you can install them from the manager (but it's recommended).
1: For some weird devices that prevent installing apps from the root user, please install the manager from /data/adb/lspd/manager.apk or manager.apk from the zip file manually.
2: Some modules get modules' apk path using reflection of its classloader, it's not recommended and unstable since the apk path from classloader no longer exists when using SharedMemory to load modules. Please use the documented way (from IXposedHookZygoteInit.StartupParam.modulePath) instead.

I didn't say it's safer than edxposed. I meant xposed alternatives like taichi etc.
All banking apps works, no system slowdown, i got more free ram etc.
In edxposed the hooked apps take time to open, no such issue with LSPosed.
That's why i thought it's worth trying and safer.
And +1 is safetynet passes all the time with LSPosed but, with edxposed safetynet works for some time after every reboot even with blacklisting google framework and services.
This slowdown is caused by YAHFA hook in EdXposed. On Sandhook is much better. Which hook method you use in LSposed?

SafetyNet works till google patched it no matter which xposed clone you use. Before last patch SN was working fine with EdXposed. I don't needed blacklisting framework and services because EdXposed manager is doing automatically, with special option enabled. So don't say lies about EdXposed but tell us about technical differences between LSposed and EdXposed. What you change after forking EdXposed repo?
looks working good u,till now, just its annoying sometimes to have to choos which app has the module applies. a "select all" option would be welcome in a next release

It looks like this xposed clone works only in whitelist mode...
I'm quite amazed that this edxposed alternative is running much better than edxposed itself on my android 11, aosp rom, redmi k30 pro zoom. Really glad that I came across this!
Thanks for the great and awesome work devs!

a module based selection, what to hook seems a good approach of doing what you want and at the same time saving resources. a more advanced selectiin UI would be good. filter based on words and then select in the filtered list, select deselect all. in addition I have no idea what some modules are hooking like gravity box...this is just an example...I know I can find out however maybe the manager app can support to find out or tick what is recommended

How To Guide BYPASS SAFETYNET EASILY

Safetynet can be easily bypassed by :
step 1 : hide magisk
step 2 : turn on zygisk and enforce deny list
step 3 : open configure deny list & apply deny list on google apps | eg: google play services and playstore, etc.., (don't forget to clear cache & data)
step 4 : install riru module
step 5 : restart your phone
step 6 : install universal safety net fix module
step 7 : restart your phone
in newer version of magisk manager, magisk hide functionality is replaced by deny list
download modules from links given below or you can directly download it via files i attached
riru module link : (https://github.com/RikkaApps/Riru/releases)
universal safetynet-fix module link : (https://github.com/kdrag0n/safetynet-fix/releases)
Small clarification:
The deny list is currently (as of writing this) only available on unofficial Magisk releases. Any official Magisk release after build 23001 will have the deny list rather than MagiskHide.

Yes, rooting this device via stable version is causing bootloop for now but alpha version(706a4922-alpha) is working fine that's why i mentioned deny list
Safety net stops working after few days then i have to flash riru and safety net again and it works 1,2 days then again it stops working, do you have any solution for this?
I cant get get the step 1 : hide magisk option to work.
When I click that option, it asks me for a new package name and it creates a new icon in the app drawer with that name, but it doesn't do anything. the original magisk icon still opens the app.
When i check safetynet in the app, it still says failed.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks for the guide. Currently running Derpfest 12 on a OP5T and Magisk 24.
Riru is suspended with zygote activated, whilst SafetyNet fix is suspended when it is not enabled.
In my case GPay works with zygote disabled, thus USNF working.
