DUOS:WW:12.0.A.18.01.01-ROW:AS
Android OS version: 8.0.0_sdk26
Google Apps: opengapps: 8.0, arm64, nano/pico (any patch doesn't needed)
Root/SuperUser: UNRooted
For devices: "hydrogen" , (unofficially "helium" supported)
Attention:
I suggest you to use my ROM,
though I only fix those bugs which doesn't require hard work.
If you don't like something, please, use stock ROM and don't write in this thread. Please.
Jumping straight to the point of this post, this is our road map to Android O.
VoLTE Fixed , at least for hydrogen
ROM is made in a way, so, u will only be able to flash using OFFICIAL TWRP RECOVERY, NOT with nijel8's recovery!!!
Download the ROM
Copy the ROM in SD card.
Flash latest Official TWRP recovery
Go to your recovery
Wipe Data (Clean flash)
Format /system
Format /cache
Flash miui global 8.5.x firmware
Reboot to recovery again (sometimes, after formatting /system, u can't flash ROM, without rebooting into recovery)
Install ROM zip.
(U can use opengapps' nano/pico)
Reboot - 1st boot takes around 10 minutes.
Use your phone wisely.

Known Bugs:
Including VoLTE
Everything is now working !!!
Because the ROM is made with the ROM+Kernel and Vendor-blobs of dungphp and rohan
#
I, being like OEM, managed to made it for hydrogen.
Look, OEM always make everything working but buggy roms!!
developers, check this to get VoLTE on ur roms

I've followed your instruction on my Helium.
I was on MIUI China 7.12.28 Dev
I went to TWRP recovery
I made Wipe Data
Installed your ROM.zip
Reboot.
I've seen orange MI logo
After 1 minute phone rebooted to Fastboot mode.
What is my fault? May Android 7 based MIUI ROM?
After I've tried other way.
I've installed Your Lineage ROM.
It booted successfully.
I went to TWRP recovery
I made Wipe Data
Installed your Du-OS ROM.zip
Reboot.
I've seen orange MI logo
Lineage booted, but it got bootloop.
Ok. I give up.

Are u from united kingdom? And, called me from +4411570****0?
This thread is only for DU-OS-OREO 8.X, OK?
So, first forget about my LineageOS pre alpha/NitrogenOS, OKAY?
# flash official latest twrp recovery
# flash miui global 8.5.x firmware at least.
# wipe /data, /cache, /system.
# flash my "du-os" ROM. (GAPPS ARE NOT INCLUDED)
# u can flash pico/nano gapps from opengapps for arm64, 8.0
# reboot to system
##### I personally used this ROM , OK? Just sharing it, so, its working surely on HYDROGEN.
##### I don't know about helium, probably it will work!!

Is ur phone working without gapps??
I used both nano gapps from opengapps, without any patches.
I also used 2/3 mods with this ROM. Still worked.
If, after flashing ur ROM is not booting= problem is in ur recovery.
Use official twrp latest recovery.
## I tested on hydrogen only.

Couple of questions...
1) Does this build have CAF optimization to it for smoother experience?
2) Any issues you've encountered when using the app?
Its been a long time since I used a completely Cyanogen Mod...I hope this will be a great return to that!

There are lots of differences - This is just the first build and do not have as many customizations as Nitrogen OS. Nitrogen OS has Substratum and as we know CM has CMTE; so Xenon will also get CMTE when CM implements it

OOS Camera (flashable zip)
OOS camera with portrait mode. of course it doesnt break other cams or apps like other roms.
So this rom doesn't have the same bugs ( video recording and MTP ) as LineageOS 16?
Do we need to be on OxygenOS Beta 2 before flashing this?
EDIT
Tried to flash the rom coming from OOS Beta 2 but it wouldn't boot.
Instead it would switch to the other slot and boot into OOS.

New AOD, Live Wallpapers, New Dialer, New Messages App, some of the stuff that You can see in screenshots (OnePlus Laboratory etc). One more year of firmware updates (6T was launched with Pie).
And all features that OP6T will get in future updates that OP6 might not get.
And if You want, You can install it with TWRP. Just use flash image instead of flash zip. And then flash system.img to system, boot.img to boot and OP6T Vendor Patcher and that's it!
Edit: here's a video https://youtu.be/7pxkqAYylWE. You can skip flashing op6t vendor patcher and vbmeta. Those steps are most likely optional because it's OxygenOS.
Thanks developer .You are unique and thanks for trying new stuffs on OP6 . Waiting for MIUI 10 stable plzzzz work on it .
People don't flash this it's not working!!!
Can confirm the same. Wiped data through TWRP, but it said No OS installed. Also tried through fastboot, but it gave back an "Invalid size/header" error.

After that i flash system img using fastboot command .After flashing system img Phone become unresponsive so i again booted to boot-loader and flash vbmeta.img and boot.img then i again flash twrp and flash vendor patch .After reboot either phone goes to crashdump or stay on bootloader unlock warning screen??? any suggestiom
I have seen that its quite hard to install this ROM, the same kind of issues was also in pixel 3xl port, can't we get some simplified installation method just like other custom roms????
Will this erase all data in memory?

ya bro i have flashed more than five times. My wholeday wasted on this rom
some experience from myself.
1: Back up your application and data through Ti Backup
2: download the stock fast boot ROM of OOS
3: boot into bootloader and flash the stock OOS
4: when you done it, just get your ass back in the bootloader and flash the 6t's system IMG into SLOT A!
and the last thing just following the instructions.
One little problem is the system interface does not occupy the entire screen

Sorry I misunderstood that you asked me next step how to do. Cause you flash the stock OOS ROM. So it should be in slot A

Bro it boots on ob (1 - 8) as well as on stable (9.0 - 9.0.2)
I say this becoz i personally tested on these all firmwares
Just fastboot any pie firmware from those which mentioned above
Then fastboot twrp recovery
Then in twrp wipe data, system, dalvik cache
Then flash rom and twrp zip
Then reboot to recovery again and flash gapps, magisk if u want
Then reboot

will try later i have to set up device after i lost all my data in the process(even the twrp backup)
What kernel is this rom using? Can share gpu rendering graph?
Great fluid build. Using it currently. Running it with Blue Spark kernel on OOS 9.0.2 base.
Found 3 bugs inline with my usage pattern.
1. System dark mode doesnt change but applying dark mode in developer settings makes the quick settings dark.
2. Barcode scanners cannot focus at all.
3. Notification lights does not light up after a missed call/message recieved.
Can you add the option of pulling down Quick settings from right/left swipe down?
Does google camera work?

What is PAX?
Our release of Android 10, titled CR-8.0, is codenamed PAX after the Latin word for peace and Pax, the roman goddess for peace.
PAX provides you with the features you need while keeping the focus on delivering an elegant, smooth, and well polished experience. PAX delivers a set of unique features, like a system-wide font engine that also allows for applying fonts on user apps while supporting user fonts through custom APKs generated on fonts.carbonrom.org. Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has addressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our Discord server or Telegram group! There, you can connect with other Carbon users and our developers, and you can get quicker responses to your bug reports. The invite link is right below.
Install Instructions:
Other than previously provided ROMs, this is using the "normal" method of providing a flashable zip.
You should start off with the latest OxygenOS on both slots and then proceed to flash Carbon.
You must at least use TWRP 3.4.0-1 by @mauronofrio to flash this.
Download the ROM and optionally GApps, reboot to TWRP.
Flash the ROM
Reboot recovery (to switch between slots)
Flash GApps (optional)
Format /data*
Done
*As TWRP is currently unable to format /data you can use fastboot to format
Code:
fastboot -w
It appears that fastboot on Windows has issues with the wipe command. In that case use both of the following commands
Code:
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase metadata

Perks of flashing ROMs at 5AM, FIRST!!
Wow! Another rom awesome job!
let the ROMs start yeahhh
More roms!!! Yaaas
If coming by from another rom, do I just format data first and then flash Carbon or should I reflash OOS on both slots again?
@Myself5, you say to reboot twrp in between for flashing gapps to another partition. Do I read it right? Or do we need to flash the rom again to another partition after rebooting twrp

I am always doing both ..just to be sure and to eliminate bugs
great work!
We dont need to format user data if you are on OOS do you?
Please do look into adding more space for GAPPs as I prefer to use mini
does oneplus 8 work?
so for me this doesnt work and i dunno what i am doing wrong.
flashed oos to both slots, flashed your twrp, flashed rom, reboot to recovery and device doesnt decrypt so no gapps to install. booting up ends in sticking at carbon boot logo.
Hey ! Do you add face unlock ??
I updated the flashing instruction in OP to reflect on various ways to format /data as TWRP is currently not able to do so.
You can either use fastboot to format
fastboot -w

or if that fails (which has been reported of being an issue with fastboot on Windows) flash THIS userdata.img using
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img

EDIT: As of TWRP 3.4.0-1 by @mauronofrio you can flash Carbon with that just fine.
I discovered Bluetooth is broken in yesterdays build. This has been fixed in CARBON-CR-8.0-PAX-UNOFFICIAL-instantnoodlep-20200627-1418 which has just been uploaded.
Note: During the tests today I noticed that GApps seems to be finniky when updating. When I flashed Gapps I sometimes ended up in a bootloop because some parts of GApps were missing despite them flashing successfully in TWRP. Force rebooting and flashing them again fixed that. It is yet to be determined if this is a ROM or a TWRP issue but I am working with @mauronofrio on fixing the issue.
