Root P10 with Oreo? - Huawei P10 Questions & Answers

Hello everyone,
I just flashed the Oreo beta with HWOTA and lost my root access (bootloader got locked again and twrp is gone, got the erecovery again) and wonder if anyone already obtained root in the actual android 8 beta. Didn't found anything here yet, but maybe this root method for mate 10 pro could work:

Did any1 tried that?

Strange problem! Need help! Bricked Huawei P9

Hi everyone!. I purchased my Huawei P9 dual sim (Chinese Version- AL00) 2 weeks ago. I unlocked its bootloader and changed OEM to EVA-AL19C636 and flashed Nougat Beta. Then I reflashed back to EMUI 4.1 (AL19C636B190) but I forgot to flash HUAWEI P9 Rollback Package (EVA-L19, from EMUI5.0+Android7.0 rollback to EMUI4.1+Android 6.0, C900B300). Everything flashed OK, the phone restarted but there is a bootloop at Huawei logo. It cannot be turned off. No recovery,no download mode, cannot force updat, nothing except fastboot. Bootloader is locked again and I cannot unlock it (though I have unlock code). I tried many times but no success. There is always an error:
"FAILED: Remote: Command not allowed"
I can't flash anything using fastboot.
Anybody helps me!. I really need help. Plz!

Can u tell me how u changed to EVA-L19? I want this EMUI 5 and it seems the EVA-AL00 is not getting it anytime soon....and I don't want the chinese stuffs....
You have to change the oem.info into Al19 (using SRK tool) then flash Al19 rom.
hi ledinhbac
I experienced the similar issue with you. I rollback to EMUI 4.1 (AL19C636B190) directly from (L19C636B190) by flashing a HUAWEI P9 Rollback Package (EVA-L19, from EMUI5.0+Android7.0 rollback to EMUI4.1+Android 6.0, C900B300) instead of updating to L19C636B361. [ wrong SD card inserted].
My phone restarted but there is a bootloop at Huawei logo. It cannot be turned off. It can only go into fastboot mode. Bootloader is locked and I cannot unlock it (though I havent unlock code). I tried
There is always an error:
"FAILED: Remote: Command not allowed"
Could you solve the above situation?

Rooted P20 Pro Android update EU

Hi All,
As you know they already released the Official Android 9.0 Pie for Huawei P20 Pro in EU.
I have the previous version of Android 8.1 CLT-L29.
My devices is:
-Rooted
-Bootloader unlocked.
Can I update via OTA to Android 9.0?
Is there any problem during the upgrade?
Will be still rooted and bootloader will be still unlocked?
If not what is method to do upgrade and still have a Root?
Thanks for your help!
You need to flash stock recovery first.
You will not continue to rooted.
Your bootloader will remain unlocked
Thanks for your kind answer.
Do you think should I update to 9.0 or should I stay with the previous version?
I am not that sure about the root process at the moment and I don't want to loose it.
I don't think there are that many new noticeable features. EMUI looks and behaves pretty much the same.

EMUI 9.1 update with bootloader unlocked and Magisk Manager

Hello Everyone,
I'm trying to get the EMUI 9.1 update on my P20 Pro (Canadian Version) and the system download the updates and it reboot, and gets back to the previous state 9.0 and it asks to upgrade again.
I tried upgrade using the HiSuite and also gets the same issue.
Do you guys know if with the bootloader unlocked and Magisk Manager installed on my boot partition affect this upgrade ?
Thank you
No

Need help with unbricking of p20 pro

Hi. Short time ago i've bought p20 pro (CLT-L29C432), downgraded EMUI to 8.1 from 10.0 and then flashed custom rom, based on EMUI 8.0 for another model (not 432).
Ofc phone caught bootloop...
Installed with fastboot "Huawei P20 Pro CLT-L29 Charlotte-L29C 8.1.0.128a(C432) Firmware Android8.1.0 EMUI8.1.0 05015BGR" and few other based at 8.1.0 and 8.0, but also bootloop.
I can install twrp, get into it, but nothin more - only bootloop.
Maybe some1 can help with working instruction for solving this problem. Thank you for answers.
Have you unlocked the bootloader? If yes message me...its actually easy (if the bootloader unlocked)...
