Yes.

I'll post a project roadmap and a kind of "support policy" in a couple of days to set expectations. Basically, all comes to "if you made any modifications - it's your decision and you can't expect any help". It's pretty... spartan-stylish, but after all we're focused on walking the walk, not talking the talk.

@karevn Thanx for your work on this Xiaomi forsaken phone, as well as all the other devs! I'm using the rom since about a week, very stable so far.The only problem i have with latest build is some "click" sounds when i'm talking on whatsapp on wifi, didn't test it with data or any other app till now.If anyone else having this problem i'll try getting a logcat, else i'll try a clean install first.
A small request, since it's unofficial, can we have a network monitor on the status bar? It's very useful in general.
And a question, is 2.2 ghz the maximum we can squeeze from this cpu?Can we reach 2.4-2.5 even at the cost of increased power consumption?I'll be happy to help in this direction since i have some experience.

The main goal of this project is to provide a stable usable rom with smooth performance. So, I'll never integrate any bells, whistles or serious overclocking/undervolting. Snapdragon 625 is good as it is - fast and power-efficient with careful configuration.
On the WhatsApp thing - check if the is WhatsApp-specific or system-wide. If it's system-wide - post an issue at my github tracker.

Using your Rom for months now,
No major issues,
Happy you are here. :good::good:

Flash audio fix kernel. Thanks goes to @karevn

Karevn (and Razziell, and Anomalchik and others) THANKS ALOT for all your efforts!
I'm using your ROM since November if i remember correctly, and it is fantastic!
I'm even reading 4pda thread (translated by google) just to check your messages, updates and whatsoever!
This rom is fantastic, but i have to tune a bit because on MY Redmi (not on others, since i did not read anyting related in xda nor 4pda) i have spontaneous reboot.
I'm mitigating them using "interactive" CPU so i get about 1 reboot a day "only" (i even tryed to use only 3g or 4g). With impulse i have many reboots
With Voodoo Kernel i have no reboots. It seems some tweaks you did, don't work very well with just my own device
However with one of your rom/kernel it was all perfect (it was the one you gave us just without hotplug, about 2 months ago).
I know you are asking for logs, but it is just my device who has such problems, so i will not ask you to check just for me
Keep up the GREAT work and thanks alot!

Any of you need any translations or proofreading, just in case? I'm a frequent visitor on xda and an occasional visitor of 4pda and fluent in both languages. Would be glad to help.
Using this ROM right now, extremely stable, battery life is probably the best I've seen on markw - 12 hours later I still have over 50% and that's with a lot of usage including videos and music, OTAs actually work (are they pulled from the google drive? I'm just curious how someone managed to make it work on an UNofficial ROM, it's amazing) albeit only on the next day after the installation, only had one app crash a few times and I probably know the cause. Very smooth, LED works fine, no longer randomly reboots on low 2G signal or at all. No bloat or random apps I just don't use that other ROM devs force in there (some launcher - I either use the google one or Trebuchet, Substratum - I don't even use it at all, I much prefer the stock look, Xposed - If I really want/need it I'll rather install it myself). Generally very pleased to actually get rid of MIUI AND also have a fully functioning device running a ROM that doesn't need 10 fixes and a kernel flashed afterwards.
Thanks a lot for the efforts.

Big thanks for this Rom is the best what i have use! But i have onley one Problem. The LED dont works for any App. But wen i Charge my Phone IT works. I have Do a clean wipe install. Is there anywhat wat i can Do?

Just enter Settings, then Display, then Live Display, then Colour Calibration and then make your own colour changes. It has colour saturation more greater than miui.

New rom good job and thanks

Just installed it today, The ROM is good, But I miss some settings from RR will probably return to RR once the vid rec gets fixed, Substratum quite working here but not perfect but it's usable other than that the ROM is perfect, Magisk works fine btw
Anyone doesnt mind to attach screenshot here.?
I run a small Telegram group. Some of them installed this rom, but they're saying that in standby it's losing a lot of battery!
Love this ROM. Mobile data is a bit too "agressive" (might be draining a little bit more than stock) but I can exchange that for the overall UI & app management responsiveness. Best experience I've had on Android on that regard, apps open instantly on touch, there are no freezes, and it just feels extra snappy.
Much better than MIUI, that's for sure. Goes to show how good this CPU actually is with the right development.

Oh but I know that, but it did take a while with our device to get a better performing ROM than stock (I only blame Xiaomi, not the devs). We're finally there, even though it's not 100%, it's pretty close (proving that devs like Razziel are gods among us)!
Haven't had the time to find out the culprit yet, one day and a half with the ROM only. Will post here if I do find anything.

Introduction

Thanks m8!
You guys can’t imagine how long I’ve been waiting for this day. That’s one hell of a benefit google gave us there with treble. Can’t imagine that this would have been possible that soon otherwise.
Anyhow, there are a few quirks I’ve noticed (of course, no logcat):
- Power off leads to a reboot
- Enhanced reboot menu isn’t working, just reboots
- su appears to be working adb wise, but apps granted don’t work (f.e. Titanium)
- Magisk (even b16.4) results in a boot loop, guess that’s qwertys beer, not yours
That’s still not holding me from running it as DD from this day.
Does anybody know if it supports turning on the screen or unlocking the phone with the soft touch 3d home button .

[ROM][8.1][UNOFFICIAL][AOSP] Pixel Experience 8.1 [S9/S9+][19.09.2018]

Pixel Experience ROM for the Galaxy S9+ and the Galaxy S9
What is this?
Pixel Experience is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, bootanimation)
Our mission is to offer the maximum possible stability and security, along with essential features for the proper functioning of the device
Based on Android 8.1

What's working?
Everything seems to be working; same as the official lineage build.
What's not working?
Obviously Samsung's own features such as Samsung Pay, KNOX, Theme Center, Game Launcher, etc. won't be ported to LineageOS Pixel Experience. We may have our own implementation to similar functions, though.
Iris sensor does not work because AOSP upstream does not support that yet.
IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc). Samsung has their own proprietary implementation. It is not really possible to easily port that to LineageOS PixelExperience.

Install the BRH4 vendor (not sure about the new(er) BRI1 vendor)
Download the latest build linked below
Reboot to recovery
Wipe data and cache (required if you switch from other ROMs). Even better if you have nothing to loose and wipe system, data, cache, storage etc
Flash the latest build (and gapps). DONT flash gapps. they are already included in the rom.
Reboot and enjoy :victory:

Troubleshooting/FAQ:
Q: The rom isn't booting/camera doesn't work
A: Flash/make sure you have the BRH4 vendor and try again.
Q: The rom is in a bootloop/google apps keep crashing
A: You did read the instructions and NOT flash any gapps riighhttt?? smh, wipe /system,/data and /cache and start over
Q: The "home button" isn't waking up the phone
A: This apparently is an issue when not clean-flashing. I posted a fix around page 3 detailing a fix for this.
Q: I have another bug; How can i tell it to you while slightly increasing my changes of it ever getting fixed.
A: You can tell me what's going on either here or on telegram WITH A LOGCAT attached(required);if rom isn't booting at all attach /proc/last_kmsg.
Q: I don't know what/how to logcat. Is it really necessary?
A: Logcat or gtfo
Q: How can i support you?
A: Awwww thanks; On most of my posts on the left side there's a "donate to me" paypal button; You can use that, donations are more than welcome, or if you don't have any $ to spare you can also post here about how awesome i am (this surprisingly helps very much)

It's the lineage camera;gcam doesn't work on aosp as i'd like to yet*; so that should do the job just fine.
As for stability and quality as far as i can see it's the same as it works on the lineage build: pretty stable and quality is fine* (passed my standards anyway)

Working great on my s9+ . Trust me today only i tried the PE 8.1 gsi and it had a few issues and i am glad to see this rom created specifically for s9 and s9+ . Great work and thanks a lot!
Thanks for a great rom. Quick, smooth, excellent stuff!! Just wondering is substratum support included or could this be a future feature? Thanks again. ?

Substratum theme works just fine.
I am using currently the Pi Light substratum theme without any errors.

Hmmmm
I'l have a look and i'l consider it
No promises tho
It seems to work from what i can see
There's a dark mode option under display in settings in the style tab that you can select as black in lineage os, so the pixels are turned off. I cant find this option on this rom, help? And is there any way to switch the navigation buttons?
Sorry for the "dumb" question, but does Magisk Hide works with this ROM? is the SafetyNet Check passed?
Thanks.
Hello. I can not load any of these roms on my galaxy s9 +, everyone is on the s9 + logo. What am I doing wrong ??

Nice. The addition of sigspoofing and substratum service would make plain LOS usable for me. Straight LOS and themes were always iffy.

ZTE Axon 7 A2017U, /e/ v0.1 ROM, microG (NoGapps), Multiboot, XDA Legacy
As nobody really posted here, I just wanted to say that this is working really well.
I had huge gps problems with the last 15.1 unofficial, but it works perfectly in this one and it has some very nice additions as well and is 100% stable for me even with xposed and magisk.
@admicos Thank you very much and I really hope that, if you have the time, you continue making these.
New build being uploaded right now, no changes other than a LOS repo sync.
The last couple test builds I made were somewhat iffy, but this one seems pretty well. (The recolored boot animation didn't make it in for some reason, but the rest are fine)
Everytime when i reboot the system to os or recovery, the recovery looks replaced and i cant mount data.
Not sure what caused it,i just flashed this on my non treble axon 7

I'm not sure why that's happening either. Can you replicate this on official LOS? If you can, I'd suggest you try asking on their thread, they might know more.
Good ROM for a while, why not update it? Is there a new kernel upgrade for the top post?

What version of Xposed are you using? I've always wanted to try this ROM, but thought there wasn't an official Xposed yet. The others I knew at the time were reportedly shady.
Sorry for the long wait (kinda forgot about this existing :/), and sorry for the bad news;
As I am planning to switch to another phone, I cannot continue making this anymore.
I might continue this as a GSI or something, but I really don't know if that will happen, as Android source is a big mess that I don't think I, and my (reasonably fast) CPU are prepared to handle. (Any pointers to dealing with this are greatly appreciated)
It was a fun two years lurking around.
(ps: The source link is completely borked (and all my sources are gone). I probably should stop trying to be fancy and use a public Git server like a normal person the next time)
If your build env is on Docker, I can easily stage a build server for you. It won't be fast, but you can leave it running all night long if you need, and free up your computer.
Also, if you're not using Docker, I can help you set it up, so anyone else can easily build by themselves if they choose to do so.
Can I upgrade the kernel?

I will look in to it. What Bluetooth thing did you try to connect to?
the short characters is new .... hahaha, it has been when selecting the English language or when recovering the nandroid without wipe.
I will do a format before trying again.
I know it was not necessary but, install clean, all wipes and the result is the same.
the bluetooth switch is dark, I have limited the permissions of the application and the result is the same as all the permits granted or denied.
I have recovered the boot.img of lineageos 14.1 and I have flashed it on AEX, the result is a nice animation of endless AEX.
Personally AEX is the rom development that I have used in all my devices for its smoothness and custom settings.
Do not stop trying, Suzuran is a great device that is being forgotten by all developers. I'm waiting for Mokee to work on 8.1 for Z5 compact, but I have no hope that it will happen.

Why did you flash the lineage 14.1 boot.img? my AEX build is based on that one.
I'm trying to fix the Bluetooth issue right now. Is there any more errors?

My fault. I suggested that.
I thought it was worth a try.
I just dropped the z5 compact ... I know you do not care, but I say goodbye to the forum is the third z3-z5 that bursts the screen with a slight fall.

I don't know how many who are using my ROM. But I would say that this ROM in performance is like the official lineage build but with out Bluetooth and latest security patch( I'm working on it right now I'm on 2018-08-05 but I am not going to realise it untill its 2019-02-05).

Lineage is often better than stock ROM in performance. But I can't live without bluetooth. Gonna wait for the next build, then...
Does it have voltage control? Snap 810 needs it.
What about temps?
Thanks for your work, with proper development the Z5c can live well. Better then most new low/mid devices.

The ROM is based on Lineage OS kernel and it keeps the phone in the same temperature as if you would use lineage(much cooler then stock).

Thx, me my self I own a OnePlus 6. But sometimes I miss my Z5C(I use it as a backup phone). It's a really good phone. And it's really hard to find something that good in that form factor.
I don't know when Bluetooth would be fixed beacuse I don't know how to fix it.

That's great, Snap 810 were really bad with temps. Unfotunately I use BT daily with speaker and car stereo. Then I'm gonna wait.
I have a Mi 5s with broken screen, so bought the Z5 Compact. Once a fix my Xaomi gonna keep the Z5c as backup and play around.
Whoe!!! OP6 from a Z5c is a great upgrade in hardware and size. I can't have big phones, doesn't work for me. The limit is 150x70 mm, always try bigger ones from friends with no success.

Back then when I bought my OP6 did I not think about the Sony phones. Somehow did they go under my radar. So I did not do much research about the Sony phones. But I think they are pretty good, I hear alot of good reviews.
But actually do I not see so much difference in the OP6 and Z5C performance. I know that the OP6 is much faster on paper. But in regular use googling, watching yt, scrolling through apps and even light gaming are there almost no difference. The only downsides I can see is the ram and battery life (and Android version, I really would like to have 9.0 on it but I know that it's hard to build).

I hear you, Sony phones have gone under the radar for many people. It's hard to get back on the radar, now with new devices in 2019 it seems Sony is gonna make it and I really hope so. Xperia 1 is very beautiful. Pity it does not have a Compact device of it's own...
Here in Brazil Sony phones are hard to find, pretty expensive with no discounts. Hard to buy in these conditions.
