Some help - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions & Answers

So I have a sprint note 8 I am a Verizon customer I just got the phone and is not working only when roaming setting are on should I flash the Verizon stock firmware or try to fix the apn setting I been out the android game for a while would appreciate some help thanks

Flashing Verizon Firmware should be your best bet then...

I'm having a trouble getting it to work phone stays in roaming won't connect to Verizon network I flash all the Verizon files seem to work then when it boots up is still sprint logo phone is unlocked and all I do not know what I'm doing wrong

Go to the 3 hash mark on top left, go down to the Other Tools, then go to csc changer (root) and change to verizon csc.
Furthermore you could use shortcut master, you could search Devconfig and launch it and change csc that way.
Either way youll need root, so my suggestions, flash samfail v2 or 1 depending on ur bootloader version, then use the above app and set your csc and enjoy. @darkjoker11
You also could try ##72786# and let it reboot and clear the activation, if it was on sprint before then that may be the issue as well, this is a sprint shortcode to deactivate it and cause it to re-register.

After installing new rom

are you sure the APN settings are the same like was before? sometimes the new rom doesn't come with the APN stock working, and has to be changed according with carrier settings... better reset your settings, configure again, save them and reboot your tab !

no problem man, but remember, if you install Market Enabler......you'll have the same problem....during faking the the chosen provider in order to attend to paid application, all APN it will dissapear from settings, and it will work ONLY the internet one; for MMS will stop working. you'll have to reboot your Tab in order to restore again the functionality of APNs

the problem can be solved by buying new simcard, or just take somebodies to see if this will work.

noob: problems when rooting

hey guys today i got a vodafone locked samsung galaxay s . I wanted to unlock it so i read a guide on how to root it , i followed this guide using odin3 . I put the phone into download mode and ran odin3 , i followed everything the guide said and started odin3 but odin stops on zImage , I left it for an hour and nothing changed . Now the phone shows the symbol below when i try to turn it on . I can get the phone back into download mode im just wondering if anyone knows a way to get this phone rooted ?

i suffered that alot when i was new to rooting and flashing, just try flashing a new stock firmware back to the phone from samfirmwares.com and see how you go,
actualy pre rooted firmware

see how you go with that, although u may need to manually add youre providers apn settings in after though
Regarding the icon: flash the bootloaders(boot & Sbl) and a working kernel

there are apps which help you root your phone using adb
like SuperOneClick you might want to try it, or using a firmware with root as suggested
there is also an app which can be installed in your phone to root ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833953)
but first you need to get a firmware in order to install that app
get an stock ROM like 2.2 froyo or 2.1 eclair, then try with the app

i have 2 ldu x model if u will and trying to remove that retail mode as we speak
so i did get the 845x ldu working on 840 firmware. 845 firmware would not install

I am also using LDU SM-R845X i installed stock firmware for SM-R840 provided here in XDA forum it is working perfectly fine even i am receiving OTA update. i tried all SM-840 stock firmware they are working fine you can install any. I tried to install SM-R845U and SM-R845F firmware but it failed every time if someone succeeded please let me know.

My x70 pro plus CN ver.
I'm living in south korea, and I can not use VoLTE.
So, I use PDC and EFS EXPLORER to make VoLTE.
I changed mbn to ITALY_VOLTTE_VODAFONE
and then, I get in to EFS EXPLORER.
I copy the EFS files. and in the policyman folder,
I deleted original 'CARRIER POLICIES.XML'
and add my new carrier policies.xml
after efs paste done, I shut down efs explorer and reboot.
after reboot, the message told me there is no sim in there, and my imei and meid was just like pic.
I tried imei repair tool.
but every time I get in to diag mode, even I didn't pull usb out. The phone is connected or not, it repeats like crazy
how can I repair my X70 PRO PLUS...?
if update will repair it? or I have to send it china??
give me some IDEAS PLS....

Are you using a device which wasn't offered by your service provider? You may need to flash different firmware.
Did you flash your current FW, or did you receive it via OTA? What is your phone's CSC?
If you flashed it earlier, flash again. If not be patient....

I've never flashed anything, I'm using the phone as I bought it about a year ago. I travel a lot though, so I change sim cards quite frequently.
My CSC is G998BOXM3BUK8

Changing SIM-cards regularly could be the cause...
What is shown under software version under phone info - software details - software version provider? (Or similar menu names) See attached SS.
You could consider flashing latest FW. This threat provides all info...
