AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
With the rebrand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now actually LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.

Yea at this point it like the 1 ton stone ball is stuck in a crater xD. The remaining bugs aren't proving easy to fix. VoLTE probably won't be hard to fix once I get my phone back on next week. But until then it will remain broken unless someone else fixes it.

Thank you for this rom and all your work on our K20+ @Travisholt92 ! You rock bro!! I have been following a while and will continue.

You're going to have to be more specific. Which build, which apps are slow, WiFi or LTE. You gotta let us know these things

Thank you for the prompt response Travis , the build I am currently on is the AICP_lv5 0119 zip. The Google Chrome app is running slow and, shows an LTE signal in the status bar and it's very low until it switches to H+ or H. Also the web is loading very slow or not at all while on a call and this is on Google Chrome.

I noticed that too. I was wondering if it was a baseband issue. I was just curious to know if the stock baseband could be used with this rom as a fix.

My latest build of AICP is so damn smooth but the battery life isn't too good. I can still get a day's usage out of a charge but barely.

The baseband version in these builds is called from the modem partition so it is the one from whichever version of stock you came from.

damn bro, at this point, I have NOTHING NEGATIVE to say - basically, as I was setting up my particular prefs, I actually thought to myself that someone finally built, arranged, laid-out, considered & customized, et al ... a ROM as near to my personal liking as I would create -IF- only I had the knowledge and the time.
Deliberate you should be super stoked on this !
>>>How much of this did you do yourself ?! Did you port this to the G2 ? I don't mean to take anything away from your contribution, I'm just curious where ALL this came from !!! It runs verrry well on my end as well - I am not easily impressed & like I said, I stopped before I got halfway through setting up the ROM just to give you props !!!!
Hey @Deliberate can we get this rom ported over to the d2tmo/d2lte please?
THIS M-EFFING ROM IS M-EFFING M-PRESSIVE ..... do not pass up a chance to flash this ROM & ENJOY .... incredibly impressive ROM.
*** The only thing I did besides flash this sraight-up was to flash dr87's AOSP Kernel v7 over the stock CM (?) kernel ..... soooo faaassssst. If this ROM leaves any one asking for any 'thing'/feature/etc is someone who simply cannot be pleased ***

Actually gonna work on that to marrow. Think I'm gonna make this take over my bluelightning thread. Its not as popular as I had hoped. But I'm sure this will be!
Ever since I've flashed this rom, it's unusable on my end. The screen keeps flickering or jumping around, signal fading in & out etc. Can anyone tell me why?
Would love to give this a try but every KK rom I try gives me the roaming error. Anyone experiencing that with this?
Same here except Val's rom.

Awesome thanks and I'm pretty sure this will take over it this one looks amazing if you ask me keep up the good work:good:
So far it has been running fine, only one lock up in 3 hours of use. Liking it a lot so far, nice job.
Edit: First force reboot after 6 hours of use. Hate that but still like the Rom. I have not used a KK rom yet that has not had lockups and reboots.
Any recommended kernel settings? Great ROM!

I am going to run it with the default of On Demand for a day. Then after getting a feel for it, I may change kernel to see how it adjusts.
Rom switched to roaming for me just like all the other newer KK have.
Omni is the only KK Rom that doesn't have this issue for me.

I havnt had a single lock up. This ROM has been pretty good to me so far. Sorry for Tue issues some of u have had. Not sure why your having them. Maybe a format system would help during flashing? That's what I do. As well as the instructions from the op. @gorm omni is the only kk ROM that doesn't give u a roaming issue?

In the 8 hours of using it, I have had 1 lockup and 1 reboot. Now as I mentioned earlier, I have not used a single KK Rom as of yet that has not had these, in some roms I experienced them a lot.

[ROM][WIP] osprey AOSP 6.0.x

Hello all,
I'm trying to port an AOSP ROM to the osprey, I already made some steps but would need some help from much better skilled devs.
Here is the code: https://github.com/motogaosp
The manifest: https://github.com/motogaosp/android_manifest
At the moment the ROM starts without big problems but there are some errors while booting up.
Feel free to participate, fork the code, send pull request or whatever you think can help the project, the goal would be to have a clean AOSP ROM for our osprey.
Working:
WiFi
Bluetooth
Back camera
Front Camera
Touchscreen
Sensors:
Accelerometer
Light
Magnetic field
Orientation
Proximity
NOT working:
Sound
RIL
Mobile data (LTE/3G)
GPS

is it 100% aosp without any cm patches?
Yes, from CM I use (for the moment) the build scripts part as it has all the stuff needed to include qcom repositories but this does not affect on Android itself.

I don't think it's particularly considered a place holder when the source code and manifest has been posted in search for assistance to get to a user capable produce. Works In Progress are allowed and maybe the current developer finds it moot to release a link publicly that's just going to flood his thread with endless.... ("WTF, Why this no work? U said unfished product, but it have problems, I no approve") ..... yeah stuff like that.

Count me in, this is essentially what I've been working on with my build.

Honestly I don't think that Aroma installer would be so useful on AOSP ROM btw, feel free to work on it.
If someone wants to give me some more in depth instructions on initiating a build and where to find the proper Dev tree and vendor files for Marshmallow I'd be more than willing to help with development. Since Xenon HD is AOSP base we at least know it's doable. The only bugs with that ROM are that WiFi refuses to turn back on after a soft reboot, and the GPS is damn near inoperable.
I don't know much about building Android per se, but it's something I've been thinking about getting into. I may not be able to be much of a help but I'm certainly willing to learn.

Here's a push to start guys, take your time to read read read. Once you're done these just rifle ROM build questions at Google and check out other devices for an idea on how the structure works.
( Senior member but am still extremely new at building, no public builds just small CM stuff but these guides helped me put a lot together. )

I started from Motorola sources (https://github.com/MotorolaMobilityLLC/kernel-msm/tree/marshmallow-6.0.0-release-osprey) and then picked some patches from https://github.com/moto8916/android_kernel_motorola_msm8916 to get the kernel booting.
Dude, you are making really quick progress. Yesterday all I saw working was the touchscreen & cameras, now we have WiFi and Bluetooth up and running? At this rate we may have a fully working AOSP ROM in no time, thanks to you!

SlimROM is a custom android operating system. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam works together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and Gerrit.

Known issues:
*Motorola cameras will not work correctly when using non-stock DPI; Victara stock DPI = 480
*Gestures must be toggled off then back on (in settings) before they work correctly
*Root
Apply root via developer settings.
SuperSU doesn't work with the current cm kernel:
Until CM's kernel compression is supported by SuperSU, or until we switch to using a different kernel, the built-in root is our easiest (maybe only?) option.

Hi,
I didn't noticed any problem yet. I did a call with the stock line (from remix rom) "--persist.audio.fluence.speaker=true", echo problem was there. Then I modified it to "false", reboot the phone and did a 5mn call and the loudspeaker was fine.
the other line was already set to "fluence".

A week now with this wonderful ROM... battery gives almost 6h on screen... Biohazard Audio working... just 2 random reboots... but still no found a cause... everything is working...
Slimroms has recently switched from Wednesday to Friday releases, and hosts the general changelog at: https://slimroms.org/#/
There still isn't much customization at this stage, so I'll continue uploading alpha builds, but I probably won't xda-announce them until they reach beta status.
OMS (the replacement for layers) is in gerrit, but I have no idea when that'll be ready for debut.
Cheers

Can you describe this issue further? If I turn the device off, and then restart it, the date and time are incorrect?
I can't seem to reproduce the behavior on Slim. The date and time are always correct, even after I have the device turned off.
These victara builds use CM's device-code, but the ROM is NOT CM-based.

Yeah that'a the issue..... whenever I restart my device, its time goes back to build date and time.... I haven't used Slim yet but I found it on CM and all recent releases of CM based roms.... Guess CM code is resetting RTC at each boot but its just a speculation... Good to hear Slim isn't effected by this bug...
Has anyone been able to gain root access on this ROM? When i tried it, my clock and battery got all funky (Battery registers 4,007% and clock changes time at random) and wifi stops working altogether.

Root is built-in, enable it from developer settings.
When I use a root app, I get the expected prompt, and the device behaves as expected.

Yeah, this is currently a known slim issue. There's a frameworks issue, and Slim is waiting to see how OMS/substratum works, to decide whether to implement it or not... Glad you're enjoying the rom, there's a little bit more customization every week.

Great ROM. I'm not getting any LED notification, anyone else have this issue?

how is this a stupid question, every rom has its own kernel tweaks or whatever optimization you call, just want to hear user's feedback for battery life on this rom. I don't have the spare time to flash and setup everything to discover bugs myself and then only realize the battery life is terrible 3 hours SOT.

Asking for battery life on O roms for Mi Max at this stage of development is stupid... That's is not even a concern right now till we get all hardware working and O roms are suitable for full daily usage.
I don't even get why O roms are posted at all as they are not even ready for testing yet IMO.

Battery life is awesome!!!!
I personally checked it, before some days and yesterday also.
Very less battery is consuming...
Only except said bugs, everything is working and fine according to my knowledge

But, its stable.
Except said bugs, everything is stable so much.
Battery backup is also very good.
For h/w: camera isn't working only.
Hotspot doesn't work in hydrogen, but, work in helium!
VoLTE sometimes working while sending/receiving SMS.
I didn't upload it. But, the famous developers like you are silent, so, users pinched me so much, then i uploaded it

About:
The system design is more distinct, fascinating, and focused on content. Flyme 6 provides a fun browsing experience with delicate and agile animation. The new Intelligent Thinking Engine "One Mind" will automatically pick up user habits and provide solutions based on different scenarios, aiming to create a smart mobile phone with light and smooth user experience.
Flashing Instructions:
·Factory reset
·Flash the ROM
·(Optional): Install any additional packages. like gapps (i prefer beans gapps mini if you want google assistant)
·Once installation has finished, return to the main menu, select Reboot, and then System
·The first boot needs 15-20 minutes.
NOTE:its tested only on 530H but should work with all the variants that the los14 on xda for those Qcom variants are supported. 531H and other speadtrum model owners don't flash this
before proceeding further keep these in mind
Don't ask nonsense questions like "How's the ROM"? (What if I tell you it's the best and you flash it and end up not liking it? Understand it's a matter of preference so don't ask stupid stuff like that) Feel free to post your review about the ROM though.
For reporting bugs make sure you attach a logcat or we'll pretend you don't exist. Also don't report the same bugs over and over again
Your suggestion is not welcomed unless you're a developer. Any noob tells us shet like "Hey plz make Android oreo samsung" or something and you'll be reported.
Last but not least
We'd like to support this community since many users complaining it's dying. But we don't have this device. So if you can cooperate we'd work on more projects. We're a team of Porters. If you're a developer you can pm me or Bungee for helping in this project or if you got any ideas or whatever...

Nope none of these are in LOS
Edit: Sorry I can't as I reverted back to RR
Not work in my 530H
Tested it on G530H with XCU (fortunave3g). Everything except camera works really well. Wi-Fi, BT everything works.
Battery is OK.. not great or too bad. Performace is also ok. Tried to open the built-in browser.. and there was where the lags were noticable. But browsing the ui and its smooth.
_________
Also the LOS for this device is also fully stable. Camera and stuff works for los made for G530H.
