Port paranoid 6.0 rom

Please someone prot paranoid android 6.0 rom to redmi 2.it is one of the most favorite custom rom for android smartphones
Yeah we hope someone also bring this rom to our device, currently we have some great devs(ketut.kumajaya, s.sawrav, premaca, ashish94, nicknitewolf and many more) working hard on our device, we are very thankful to them. But who knows someday this will also be available for our device. For now we have much more than we hoped.
If you are interested in PA,and you do have means to build and distribute ROMs,you can contact Paranoid team personally
Count me in as a tester.

which oreo rom is most stable and closest to aosp

I'm currently running lineage os 14.1 and want to upgarde to a oreo rom
which one should i go for?
it should be stable and close to stock/aosp.
Personally, I believe Beltz is the lightest on added features. For best results however you might want to take some time and try the available ROMs yourself rather than seeking opinions.

When will there be an official ROM?

Okey now! We have some ROMs that I've tried and tested to be kinda stable! Especially LOS 14.1, LOS 15.1( though 15.1 has serious battery drainage) and also ROMs like XenonHD!
But! Does anyone know why they're not made official?
**Feel free to correct me! **
oh thats an easy one, actually:
whether or not a rom is "official" is not only limited to it being bugfree, but also to the developer's willingness to actually make it official.
so a custom rom can be bugfree and stable but still unofficial as long as the dev chooses to keep it that way.
so why would a dev do this? also easy: making a rom official means the dev obligates him/herself to follow the official rom guidelines and keep it up to date no matter what. however, keeping a rom unofficial allows the dev to follow his own timeline and decide for himself whether or not hed like to keep the rom updated.
so all in all, the unofficial status allows way more flexibility for the dev.
for us as users the "official" status doesn't necessarily mean a better rom. a lot of custom roms for the MM2 are already bugfree and stable, so for us it wouldnt make any difference to make them "official" other than the name...
Gee... Thanks Bruv!!

Okay, sounds fair enough. The thing is that you'll have to flash ROMs on your own to check what is better for you.
I'll recommend you to open ROM section of Redmi 4X and and in new tab open YouTube and check and compare what suits for you because everyone has different choices and usage.
For me this ROM works great in terms of battery backup, performance and features (which is important to me)
Oreo based...
Resurrection Remix
dot OS
Havoc OS (ignore final build it has random reboot issue)
Pie based...
Arrow OS.
Havoc OS(using currently and it has good battery backup)
crDroid
Waiting for dot OS

Okay, go for Arrow OS then it has very limited customisation and it is close to stock Android You can check its UI and review on YouTube.
I haven't tried lineage OS (both Oreo and Pie) I like feature full of ROM which is can customize the way I want so I can't say anything about lineage OS but it you can check its thread for more details and it's stability, battery backup and bugs related stuff.

I don't get what you want exactly?
Custom roms are usually based on lineage OS and they get modified further by different rom developers and rom community.
There's currently no official Android pie based lineage OS available as I am writing this comment, however there's lineage Oreo ROM available which is nightly build.
If you only want to flash lineage OS then flash it. Pie ROM unofficially available flash it if you want to. They do get updated once developers avails it.
Also I did not get why are you sharing this stuff here, I think it's irrelevant.
There's also many other roms gives ota's and IMO it doesn't matter much if it's ota's or not. One can flash it manually. Only benefit is we get to know new update is available.
Wait for lineage OS pie official or flash Oreo based official lineage OS.
Seriously decide first what you want, I've given much of my time I think it won't be possible for me to do.

You'll find several custom roms official ones and unofficial ones.
Official ones are supported by its rom community and developers here help each other to build builds. you'll often see in credits that several rom community and developers helped to build it.
Unofficial ones are those builds which individual developer(s) built it on their own time they might have taken help from other developers (individual or from community)
XDA is most trusted among android enthusiast website. i can't say anything about other websites.
Custom roms needs to uploaded on their own website or some other cloud storage such as Gdrive, androidfilehost, sourceforge. usually this are download pages you'll be directed to.
If there is any other community or website i can't say anything about it.
Your discretion is advised in such cases.
For your information i've never had any issues with links shared on xda.
it is hard work from developers and community which avails custom rom to us which i appreciate and same goes to XDA.
If any case you are skeptical do not proceed, but it is better than that Xiaomi's MIUI which where they clearly said we will use user data and process it and data will send to their servers.

Yes, no problem but do explain briefly your issue if there's any.
You can post here on XDA users helps each other and there are many users who has much more knowledge than me they should also help you out.

Question What roms do you want on this phone ?

Hello, I'm looking to build and maintain roms for this phone. Do you guys have roms that you want me to maintain?
LineageOS needs some bugfixing. help them out first before building new, buggy OSes.

Pixel experience could look and feel super nice on this device, but as of now i think that it could be helpful to complete LineageOS, since it is still in alpha stage
Pixel experience Android 12
Lineageos would be great, it will benefit plenty of other roms, including the degoogled ones!
Hi there @Manugamé, any chance to build \e\ (aka deGoogled-LineageOS) for Nord CE ?
A couple of (maybe) useful links:
How to Build the /e/OS ROM?
Building `e` ROMs · Wiki · Phone Custom ROMs / Backlog · GitLab
Keep issues, to do lists, wiki pages for what I'm doing with Phone ROMs, custom builds etc.
git.coop
Hope that inspires.
Pixel experience 12 would be really good
id love to see octavi os and aicp
Pixel Experience, why development on this device is so slow?
