[Q] How to remove boot sound at Ascend P7

I have Huawei Ascend P7 L10 B616 with emui 3.0 100% root
PS:
I found the solution
just take Root Explorer or X-plore, and go to
/(Root)/system/media/audio/animationsonds/
and just delete the bootSound.ogg
If you want to replace sound , in this same place you put the chosen sound and rename it to bootSound.ogg
I hope I helped some

[HowTo] Root Huawei P8 GRA-L09 with LOCKED bootloader (Official method from Huawei)

Hello my friends,
I bring you another great present I found in Huawei Uganda.
You must download this file from Huawei server : http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=47595&version=100498
Inside this file you will find several directories (8). In the first one you will find the first official ROM for Europe, a /vendor/dload/update.app to modify /Cust (used for debranding) and /Root/update.app
So, if you want simply Root your P8, you only need to apply /Root/update.app as an update. You must copy update.app in /dload folder of your SD card and you apply the update locally or with the three buttons method.
This should work for all Android 5.0 versions and for all customizations for global regions and carriers. This sould also work on GRA-UL00 and Android 5.1.1 but I haven't tested yet.
Now, in the other 7 directories inside this file, you will find drivers, software, utilities, documents (in MS Excel, MS Word, PDF, RAR and ZIP files). Even inside some MS Excel there're other documents in MS Word, PDF, RAR and ZIP format).
These 7 extra directories will be very helpful for ROM cooking and experts.
This file is a technical file for Huawei. Make a copy and upload it somewhere just in case Huawei delete it. For the moment, just enjoy it!
PS: After downloading file GRA-L09 V100R001C432B031.rar when you try to open it, you will get RAR end of file error. Don't worry. It's not important. After inspection, on directory #8, there're are 3 sub-directories but you will read only #1 and #2. #3 will be lost in extraction. It contained just a MS Excel file
i will try tonight and will report my experience. thanks for sharing

First of all thanks ,
Finally I got the update for CRR-UL00C433B114
Do the following steps
1) Download this file from the link below :
http://consumer.huawei.com/ae/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=71483
(May be just wait few seconds for the file need to display on site )
2) Extract that file and you get UPDATE.APP
3) Put UPDATE.APP file inside the dload folder of your SD card (If there is no dload folder create one folder and rename that to dload)
4) Go to settings - update and select local update. It will restart your mobile and install the updates
5) Now you are on CRR-UL00, Android5.1, EMUI 3.1, C433B146,
6) Now Go to your setting > updater > check for updates > you will be able to see the Android 6.0 OTA file and you can download and update to marshmallow.... Good luck :laugh::laugh:

if you have changed your localization, you won´t get the OTA Update.
Your IMEI is connected to one localization. This way every phone will receive the suitable update. If you have changed your localization (e.g. if you swapped from UL00C00BXXX to UL00C433BXXX) you won´t receive any OTA because the servers can´t find a suitable update for your IMEI/Build combination.

I've update Emui 8 on my Huawei P10 lite but I can't still change fonts. Help?

Hello, I have many doubts that I will numerate so that the answer can be more easy.
Question 1:
I have an Huawei p10 lite updated the other day. Finally i decided to update to Emui 8 (since I heard with it , i could change fonts style again ) ; I think , if i understood right, that to change fonts was possible with this phone by the default app "THEMES" , and this with Emui 4.
Since Emui 5, this option to change fonts disappeared from themes (I guess is this the reason why, when the other day i've instelled an app called "I font" , I changed the font with another one, and it seems it works, but when I tried to change again with some other fonts or return back to my original font, the app says that i should have go to Themes, and change the font from there. But since the option for change fonts don't exist anymore, i could not change fonts anymore too. Also, i noticed that in the app "I font" I could see the preview of many other fonts, but since I apply one of the new fonts, the fonts looks all the same, even if are different, also in the app. suddenly all the fonts looks the same as the font i've downloaded on my mobile, and there's no way to change it anymore. (in the truth i like this font, but i wish to change because it's not so easy to read)
Question2:
At that point, i decided to update, from Emui 5 to Emui 8 , as i heard with android 8 and emui 8, i could again change fonts without roots but by just the official app Themes. So I've updated to Emui 8 with my Huawei p10 lite, but yet, the option to change fonts in themes didn't appeared. I don't know the reason, since I saw many videos on youtube that with emui 8 , they could change fonts again. Why my emui 8 don't permit again to do so? And I also noticed that with Emui 8 it was possible to add the new feature 'night mode' (a real night mode) for the screen, and the white pages became all black and the text became white. It was very useful, but again, after update, this option don't exist as well... im very sad about it...
Question 3:
, what I should do at this point? I wonder if I can downgrade the Emui from 8 to 4.X? Since I really want to change fonts and try many new ones?
Question 4:
Also, where is located the folder "HWThemes"? Because I had also another idea, to keep the Emui 8 and insert manually fonts in the directory HWThemes , by following this tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/themes-apps/noroot-font-styles-updated-02-09-16-t3453559 (even if these fonts are not what I like most), but for giving a try are ok as well, but i can't find the foulder. It says
1".Download the fonts and rename from .zip to .hwt
2.Copy the hwt file to hwthemes folder in ur internal storage or sd card"
But when I download a zip font "chococooky" there's no .hwt extension, but the file is called DroidSansChinese.ttf .ttf, not .hwt. And the folder dont exist in my huawei with themes..
please can you help me?
Thanks a lot!
Im becaming crazy! The app Ifont says to select a downloaded font and go to folder "iFont/custom directory, but when i connect my huawei to my pc and i navigate on the folders, there's no iFont folder at all! I can't see the folder of the ifont app installed! I'm very stressed.... I waste more than half day just to change fonts to my phone! Its incredible....really!
Im thinking to root my huawei p10 lite. I'm really tired to spend an entire day just to change fonts! How can i root my phone? Thanks for help again..
