hi guys,
on my LeEco le2 I have installed the EUI 5.9.026s recently I was getting complains from my contact as they could not hear me well. This is what I have found out after my tests:
1) When I make a normal telephone call apparently the only mic activated is the one next to the camera. the bottom one is not
2) If I try to record sounds, or I make a whatsapp call the bottom microphone works fine.
The good news is that it is not an HW problem, then problem is I have no idea how to solve it.
Anyone any tips??

As you read the title. This thread is about microphone problem. I have this microphone problem since last year. Whenever I call someone or someone calls me, they can't hear me because my mic is not working on call but when I record my voice, my mic works and also when I use online calls like Viber or wechat. My Mic also works, so I'm kinda curious that this mic problem of mine is kinda a software bug. Anyone knows the solution of this problem. Please Reply A.S.A.P.

I just rooted my phone two weeks ago. Hoping that It can help my mic problem because I can flash roms but it doesn't still work.

I have a problem in mi P7 with the microphone in voice calls.
The other person can't hear me . However , if I use headphones with microphone or if I put the speaker, then they can hear me.
In addition, in the other applications microphone works perfectly , so I discard it is a software problem.
I installed a clean version of b609, b619, b620 and b621 and wipe caché but I still have the same problem. I am currently in the B621.
Anyone can help me? :crying:
I have the same issue! All of a sudden the mic stopped working. When i call 'handsfree (by speakers) the phone works perfect.
I called huawei and they said it's a common problem and i have to send for repair to them...
Can't miss my phone, any other options?

I have next problem on my Nokia 8:
When somebody calls me or when I call someone on viber, I turn on speakers and other side can't hear me. Also when I put it on video call the same issue conitnuous to take. Regular GSM calls or viber VoIp calls works great as well.
I open ticket to a viber about this problem, and they told me I need to contact my manufacturer.
Yesterday I installed an Android pie from beta labs, but the problem still exists. How do you think the problem is hardware?
Friends... My note 8 mic stopped to work.
In some calls... I can ear the person who is calling but they cant ear me.
Have the latest software installed. Nougat.
Should i wait for oneui to came out in March for Portugal?

In my experience, I have had some issues like you describe, but I have found, in my case that they are most surely carrier-related, as they have happened since the days of my old beloved S3
Try using a different Cell Provider's Sim card and see if that works better. If it does then it is an issue with your Cell Provider, you woudl haev to contact them and ask them to resolve it.

I have a galaxy note 8 with a bad mic (the upper one) it just record static, but the lower one is working well... When I'm on a call or recording a video the audio is very bad due the defective microphone is used for noise suppression, anyone know how to disable the upper microphone? Or set the source for just the lower one?
