LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Oh wow a real ROM for the A7 2017. HUGE thanks @forkbomb444
Before I begin to test this, can you confirm a few things?
Will this be updated regularly just as the A5 2017 gets updated? I understand if it takes a few more extra days to update it.
Are the current bugs the same as the A5 2017?

It probably will be released roughly in-step with the A5, but maybe more/less often depending on how much spare time I have.
Bugs should be the same as the last A5 release (from yesterday). I haven't run into any at all so far.

Thank you very much for the work.
But little problem:
SIM card not detected.
photos do not store on the SD card or internally.
An idea ? solution?

Please add in the description current errors and bugs, as well as performance it will be very useful

Bug screenshot

Amazing work!
Thank you dude.!
But I have 2 problems:
Photos don't store on the SD card or internally, and 4G not work, only 3G.
A question, this rom have AOD?

Great work! Do you have any plans for a t710 version? Edit: Just realised this is the Qualcomm version. Samsung and their crazy naming schemes
Wow!!! I literally just bought one of these tonight! I checked out XDA before and was so bummed I wouldn't get stock Android but really wanted an Android tablet with this form factor so I said eff it! lol. SO cool to see this ROM! Flashing as I type this! THANK YOU!
You beat me to it, where are your sources?
I would like to use this opportunity to brazenly beg for a version for the t719

Theoretically it should but I created it in my "9.7" folder.
Stupid question but a camera app didn't come included in this, correct? I clean flashed the 01/28/17 version and the micro gapps package and the su add-on package. Booted up, everything working fine. I did not have AOSP camera or CM's camera installed (no camera app at all). I installed the Google Camera from the Play Store but upon launching it errors out with cannot connect to camera. I know a logcat is needed but since the OP says camera's working, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything obvious first. Amazing rom! So happy to not be stuck with TouchWiz

Awesome, thank you! Downloading now, and will report back.
Thank you! Going to re-download and flash again
UPDATE: Yup, just flashed and camera working great! THANKS AGAIN!
Been using this ROM for a few hours, and for my use I haven't had any issues at all!! I'm thrilled to we 7.1.1 on this tablet! Thanks again and keep up the awesome work!!
I did have one issue, flashing ,root doesn't seem to give me root. But at the end of the day I don't really need root with 7.1.1
So still zero performance issues so far, only thing I have noticed is pretty bad battery drain over night. If there is anything you need from me to help let me know!!

Wow! Thanks a lot! Just some dumb questions, is it possible to update from the official 14.1 to this one now? I tried this multiple times with Luk's builds but couldn't get the ROM to boot appropriately going this way. Is it something related to the different signatures?
Some screenshots for you guys, soon a quick review. :good:

Yes, of course I did. This way works perfectly but I don't have my DATA, more precisely, I don't have my banking app's data. Titanium Backup is useless in this case and if I were to restore only the /data partition, the same problem would happen again. I've been doing that dirty install for a long time and it hasn't been a problem for me, I just clean install when I do some unrecoverable sh*t, which in this case, I can make use of the restore function on TWRP. I clean install when I used to downgrade to another Android version too, but I don't do this anymore.
And now I remember, Google put some verifications on the Oreo's boot process, maybe it's the reason for all that.
battery backup
how was the battery back up & performance? cuz luk's roms don't have last long battery backup

Awesome. i just tried it out on my Samsung galaxy a71 and everything seems to be working OK. however i have noticed a few small issues. the proximity sensor when making phone calls does not work and double tap to wake is not present in settings. also the WiFi network signal is rather weak compared to the Stock Rom. if you need me to send over some logs i would be happy to
Great work developer, really appreciate it, and looking forward for further development on this device, let's free the galaxy A71 from Samsung crap OS.

Trust me it is, I have 8gb ram variant and the ui is laggy AF, I can only run 4 apps on the memory more than that it will start closing apps and refreshing. So much lag with gestures, recent menu, notification panel, games runs slower than my xiaomi mi a2 which has sd 660!!
I don't have that....my A71 is rooted and works very good. No lag or what so ever.

I've downloaded the latest official A71 build via Frija, took your Recovery.img (made it a tar / tar.md5 file), added it to AP in Odin (the other files are from the Frija download - although, in my despair, I tried just to flash the recovery file on its own ?) --> "recovery error" when booting up.
Made it only once to your recovery, wipe/..., flashed the Lineage os build, the stock-A71n-zip, plus the gapps from sd card... when trying to reboot, same recover error messages as before.

you're not read it properly. it stated you need to use oneui 2.0 U2. you haven't unlocked and disable vbmeta aren't you?
I''m sorry, but I have no idea, if I've done something to vbmeta. Just unlocked the bootloader and followed the steps explained earlier. Before I make another mistake: you (yep, already in your first post, I noticed it just now) mentioned a "U2 OneUi 2.0" firmware... My plan was to just download an oneui 2.0 build without thinkin 'bout the "U2...". Which exact firmware do I have to use? And THANK YOU for your help.
Will this be ok? https://boycracked.com/portfolio/sm-a715f-ds-firmware-for-samsung-galaxy-a71-in-europe/

did you format data? I'll look to the log..thanks
EDIT: send me a .txt, the link does not working
I did wipe eveything and format data, I've tried the boot.img from the last lineage build (wifi/data worked fine on that build on my A705MN). So far no luck, ROM runs well but without wifi/data can't really use it for a dd. Got two logs, one for the wifi errors, other for the data errors.

Great News. Good Effort. Please keep it up.
This is the best lineageOS rom mod for samsung galaxy m51, for now.. all the problems I found are already known. I tested both yours and LahKeda's rom.
lineageOS version: 17.1
lineageOS Download url: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c2Lre8YWTWCAoIoe-tSoZc-NXO8dMSTa/view?usp=sharing
gapps version: open_gapps-arm64-10.0-nano-20210122
am I using:
a task killer: no
a non-stock kernel: no
other modifications: no
While auto brightness seems to not work, youtube recognizes if I'm on a dark or bright room, changing screen brightness if I'm watching an HDR video (tested with "Costa Rica 4K"). I can confirm that the respective sensor is working on AIDA64.
Also, why the sound of default screen recorder is so bad?
I'm using this rom as my daily driver for a while. Thank you! (now im using lahkeda's one)
Does this rom have 10 bit hevc encoder?

I'm using lahkeda's rom and, on aida64:
OMX.qcom.video.encoder.hevc
OMX.qcom.video.encoder.hevc.cq
c2.android.hevc.encoder
I don't know if this answer your question, but if it doesn't, please tell me a way to check it.

Thanks for reply. You can use this app to check encoder capabilities:
Media Codec Info - Google Play'de Uygulamalar
Ekran görüntü ve cihazınızın ses codec bilgisi
play.google.com
It shows profile and level, I need Main10 or Main10HDR10.

Okay, there's no encoder that supports HDR10, just decoder.
the decoder is OMX.qcom.video.decoder.hevc and both Main10 and Main10HDR10 levels are 5.
Sad to see it being discontinued. Thanks for the initial release.
The other one is being maintained regularly... So no point in maintaing two versions.. Lehkeda has my sources as reference...

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
