N920A OEM unlocked - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an N920A but I didn't but it from AT&T, I bought it unlocked from Amazon. The reason I'm posting is that I had the option to OEM Unlock the device and I would venture a guess that it is actually working. So my question is that is there any way in which I can root or install a custom ROM.

[Q] about unlocking galaxy note

hello everyone
i'm going to buy the galaxy note from a phone provider in my country, the galaxy note has a chance of 90% to be locked, and i want to use other sims on it, so, is there any way i can unlock my note for free? i've also read that i can unlock it with the "galaxy s unlocker" app but i need the kj4 kernel(the method is the sam as SGS2 method), so, can i flash this kernel to my phone then root and after that unlock it with the app mentioned before? and can i flash custom roms even my phone is locked? i need a fast reply as im buying it either today or tomorrow :l
another thing, can some one give me galaxy s ii unlocking method with the "galaxy s unlock" app?
thanks in advance

You can get it unlocked remotely, I made a video and got the unlock code for free, my Galaxy Note was locked to At&t and I'm using T-Mobile Service with it now.

Hi
I have an IMEI unlock codes server, and I can provide unlock codes for all Samsung phones locked on European networks.
All models are compatible, even the most recent.
The unlock by imei don't make you loose your warranty, and it's permanent.
It's the easiest way to unlock your phone.
All you have to do is power on your phone with an unaccented sim card, type the provided unlock code, and the phone will be unlocked for ever.
The only info that I need is the IMEI of the phone. (type *#06# to see the IMEI)
And the model of the phone.
Delivery time: half hour normally.

I have codes for all brands of phones too.

device specks for unlockable and rootable S5

I've been reading and it seems there are certain build numbers that can't be rooted or unlocked. Can someone spell out for mewhat I need to look for when purchasing a s5 so that I can unlock and root it? Thanks in advance.

It is the AT&T and Verizon Galaxy S5's that can't be bootloader unlocked. This is also the reason why you aren't able to root as easily either.
So if I buy an unlocked device, I'll be good?

No. You need to get the phone from Tmobile (tmobile version). Both ATT and Verizon has bootloader locked.

N950FD Singapore bootloader unlockable?

Hello ladies and gentlemen.
I am looking to buy the N950FD singapore version of Note 8. Can anyone tell me if all devices of this variant is bootloader unlockable? I did see the twrp for FD and I also did several researches, some say there is no OEM unlock option for this model until 7 days later it will show after activation? There is a method to skip that and retrieve OEM unlock option straight away.
I just want to confirm this, not willing to buy the Snapdragon version because of lacking custom rom support and ability to unlock bootloader...
Thank you for your time.

I don't have the Singapore version, but I do have the N950FD from Dubai which is bootloader unlocked. To my knowledge all other Exynos variants of the Note 8 are also bootloader unlocked. Yes there is a 7 day wait period to toggle OEM Unlock on some Exynos phones, but there is also a workaround for that posted as a sticky. Hope this helps.

No problem. You can read through the oem unlock thread too for more info on the 7 day timer... I think there were specific posts about the singapore model, but probably from before the workaround and fix were discovered.

att variant N960USQS1ARJA

has there been any workaround for unlocking the boorloader. i remember with the htc one xl in early development we hex edited the user id to all 1111111 witch gave us super user. i am not a developer. just a long time lover of android.
also magisk has a patch boot method. i take it we need the bootloader first?
any help is appreciated.
has anyone set up a bounty for work on the at&t us phones

Nope. The Bootloader can not and never will be unlocked. If you have to have an unlocked bootloader then I suggest through N960F Exynos version.

Not on the US models
Unlocked bootloaders for a AT&T device has been unachievable since the S4 days. I'm assuming the security key to unlock it, is on a USB, hanging around the CEO neck.

S20 FE flash/rom

Hi, I apologize if this is easy info to find, I have tried to search but have been unsuccessful.
I have an unlocked s20fe, I am missing some vzw features, mainly video calling. Can anyone tell me...
1. Is it possible to flash this device
2. Can I find a vzw official rom? Or one based off of it?
I have been out of the rom/root game since back in the days of the note 3 and razr Maxx. So I apologize for my current ignorance.
Thank you for your help!

Not true. There are paid services that will unlock the bootloader, though folks may not be comfortable with the method and price.

How about a vzw rom? Any link to a reputable service? None of the devices that I used in the past had "unlocked bootloaders". They were all dependant upon an exploit that someone took advantage of, so not really concerned if it is not an 'official' unlock. Thanks for the help!
Bump for a link?
Is EU version SM-G780FZBDEUB rootable? I am buying unlocked https://d.pr/i/vwfVEY. If it isnt then perhaps I will go with Oneplus 8T
