xposed not working in Redmi 2 prime with miui 7.0 stable 7.0.5.0 (KHJMICI)

i recently update my redmi 2 prime from miui 6 to 7.0 and i lost my root so i root it again all applications which needs root permission are working fine now but xposed framework is not working . it gives following error " xposed is not (yet) compatible with android sdk version 19 or your processor architecture (armeabiv7a)"
also this warning message : linker: /data/data/de,robv.android.xposed.installer/cache/app_process has text relocations . this is wasting memory and is a security risk. please fix.

Are you sure you are on Android 4.4 and not 5.0? If yes, it looks like they made MIUI 7 incompatible with Xposed by changing some build.prop values.

Go to miui forum.
It is working for me.

Mostly you are using the wrong version of Xposed installer App.

This one should be caused by this Google patch, are you using an unofficial version of xposed, this method's mangled name seems truncated and different from the 2 cases supported by Xposed. please upload "/system/lib/libandroid_runtime.so".

I hv rooted my redmI 2 prime through download two zip file & flash it by clicking update package && I also update it to miui 7, it is in 4.4.4.
Now tell me how can I use xposed installer??

I'm on 6.5.3 on my redmi prime 2 and using Xposed framework with lot of modules. What are the steps to update to ver 7.0.5. Do i need to remove xposed before updating. If yes? Then how? If no? Then will everything work normal. What happens when i update?

Mine got it resolved by installing a modified Xposed software. Link is below:

I faced same problem i uninstalled xposed installer and downloaded "xposed installer v 2.6.1 MIUI edition by Solarwarez.apk.
And it was working. I got to update framework.

Could this work with an Asus Zenfone 5 Kitkat too?

Oxygen OS Beta 25 (Android 8.0 Oreo) image without firmware, without troubles ;)

After browsing through the new Oreo threads, there were again a lot of users with issues related to new bootlaoder and firmware.
So to avoid that I tried installing the new Beta 25 without any firmware files only updating system and boot, and that seam to work just fine.
It was the same with back than fron android MM to N.
To install the image you need the new TWRP linked here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74154185&postcount=37
But its enough to boot the new TWRP with fastboot it does nto have to be flashed.

as you haven't flashed Oreo Firmware is Fingerprint, Cellular Data, wifi etc working properly?

Yea I havn't noticed any issues till now, seams just fine.

How to flash custom firmware for mate 10 pro

Chinese people manage to have a custom firmware for Huawei mate 10 pro like famous Kangvip rom. I have downloaded from other website kangvip rom for mate 10 pro but don't know how to flash.

Unlock bootloader, enable developer options-USB debugging, put phone in fastboot mode, check if your pc recognize it and then just run the run.bat. I've got a ALP-L29 8.0.0.119(636) and installed M10_M10Pro_126_Kvip.rar(i asked KangV before, to know what is the right one). Works like a charme. But be careful what you do with root, because you can brick your device. Just disable all the chinese stuff and install play store and a keyboard(download the apk on PC and put it on the device). And you're good to go.

Can you tell us what's different with this rom than stock? Can you configure the navigation keys for things like hold back to close or hold the home key to open the recents tab?

Difference: ksettings(if you don't know them, just Google), rooted with supersu and the Chinese apps. Yes you can configure everything like on stock. Kangv comes from China, that's the reason for the other apps. I'm from Germany and I can use the Rom without any problems. I wanted it because of the ksettings, you can change so much stuff with it.

Other threads in this forum report that rooting kills the Mate 10's artificial intelligence (i.e., Bokeh effect no longer works, nor does scene recognition). Have you found that to be the case with this ROM? Thx.

As I know, it doesn't matter which rom you use. When you root a mate 10 you loose ai. I think it will take some time to fix this. Sorry, wish I could give you better news.

No, you don't loose data, it just overwrites your system. But always make a backup before flashing anything.

So which one should I flash? I'm on 10pro 127 c432 currently.
BTW is there a way to flash back to stock?

Use M10_M10Pro_126_Kvip. Yes there is a way back. Contact me when you need information

You must patch sepolicy. The offical sepolicy is in /vendor/etc/selinux/precompiled sepolicy. That's is the difference.

Funky huawei is just rooting stock rom. This is a custom rom with patched sepolicy. Because of that the ai is still working.

If anyone good at making modules looks at it, please find a proper way of doing it. Right now I only symlink files to /product and /odm. The symlinks in /odm stays after uninstall. Best would be to actually auto mount (like /system and /vendor is) it but I think magisk needs to be edited for that (?)
Also, check if you have /odm available in your TWRP version, else install this one:

To "enrol" (lol) face after installing, go to Settings -> Security & Privacy -> Face unlock
Face unlock is actually available already in Mate 9 from the start, it just needs to be enabled.
And a few files are missing which I took from Honor V10 firmware.
If you want to revert, just check the zip for what files to remove and remove
ro.config.face_detect=1
ro.config.face_recognition=true
from /product/etc/prop/local.prop
Thanks to @LastStandingDroid for testing and pointing out where prop was located.
Update 2: as a "side-effect", face recognition enables the Smart Rotate option in Settings -> Display (at the bottom). Thanks to @LastStandingDroid for pointing this out
Update: I've tested it on C432B363 now, and it doesn't work.
It's supposed to say "Settings -> Security & Privacy -> Face unlock" . But in this firmware it says "Face recognition".
I'm not sure what changed, maybe Settings.apk.
It definetly works on B365 but safetynet is not passing on this one yet.

If you can't backup files in odm in in twrp that means you didn't succeed. It looks like you don't as the setting is enabled.
Please use the one in op instead
Odm partition handles some camera and audio files. Much more isn't in there

@ante0 @LastStandingDroid....I don't know how this face unlock is supposed to work!!! I flashed ok, I can even add my face....but it is not unlocking my phone....always asking me to use FP....but the showing notification on locked screen is likely working.....!!!

When you're in Face unlock in settings, do you see "Direct unlock" option?
And if you don't, do you use Firedance data mod?

Updated OP with magisk module.
I will test B363 with Firedance mod today, another user reported it as not working and it may have to do with mod...
He could only see one option in Face unlock, "Direct unlock" and "swipe to unlock" was missing. But those strings are in Settings.apk in B363 s they're not missing.

Remove fingerprint unlock I don't think you can use both.
Also if you have locked screen press power and just look at your screen it shall unlock fast

I tested yesterday, you can have both FP and face.
Atleast I could. I added FP after face though.

I was reefering to face data. Let's try
Remove all current password/fingerprint
Remove faceunlock
Enroll face again and setup a pattern or pin/password.
If it doesn't work there might be a data bug.
Side note: for thus who has issues installing this mod use magisk and the magisk module. It's easy as 123 also won't need u to have a twrp with odm support

I see settings are there.... Face unlock option.... Adding face data also works...! Trying to unlock with face.... Phone not unlocked....!

When you install Goodlock on Nougate devices, it always says installation failed, never says parsing error. This means it very well could run on Nougate devices. Anyways, a simple build.prop edit to your Android version to 8.0 or 8.1 would do the trick.

I managed to install all the good lock apps by editing minimum sdk (26 to 24). All of them were installed without issue but didn't worked. Edge lighting, edge touch and one handed operation were installed without the editing of sdk (there minimum sdk is already 24).
For instance lockstar displays a message when opened
"we are waiting while lockstar is connecting to system"
Badlock (GOODLOCK's alternative) always fails to open. So had to download activity manager from playstore to get the apps opened.

So the build.prop solution is only for those running 7.1.1? As we are getting parsing issues (7.0 users) so it won't work with us?

Can someone port GoodLock for j7 devices because I can not update my phone it's rooted and I don't have a custom recovery so I can't get a rom.

No one seems to be working on it(even no one is answering). Is it not possible to port the apps to nougat or developers aren't interested in porting?

There are no stable custom roms for my phone at the moment that's why I'm asking for porting the apps/features. And I'm rooted.

Could you use apk editor pro and set the minimum target on the apk to sdk level 24? Editing the ro.product.android.verision=? spoofs the version but the sdk level really does matter. In a apk, The sdk level represents the real android version.
Sdk 24 = Android 7.0 (Not android 7.1.1)
Sdk 25 = Android 7.1.1

hey i have j250f and i tried doing as discussed in this thread but can you tell how can i make good lock addon lockstar compitiable to 7.1.1
