Im using mi a1(oreo) flashed this module but couldn't find in settings>system..so downloaded quick shortcut maker..but it's not showing up im activities though..any solution please.

check in some other section in settings . in ambient display or gestures.
In the search option of setting i typed ambient display..also tried by typing doze but nothing showed up except my default ambient display which only lights up on notification. :crying:

I have used this in Los 15.1.
Tried magisk module but not working tried pasting file in system>prive app not working and also flashed zip through recovery still not working.

I tried this mod ONLY on XtreStoLite for G920F model.
If you wanna test this on other carriers using same rom, please BACKUP first.
If something goes wrong, just RESTORE!

Hi guys, I edited the "framework-res.apk" file of XtreStoLite ROM adding Ambient Display feature like on Nexus (Android 5.0+). Surely it works on G920F, tested personally, if you wanna try on other S6 just try yourself.
I followed this guide. Credits to him.
///INSTALL:
- Flash the zip "AmbientDisplay-vX.X"
- Reboot
///UNINSTALL:
- Flash the zip "framework_restore"
- Reboot
Simple as it looks.
///BUGS:
- Gyroscope and proximity sensor not working for ambient display
- Touchscreen not working when screen fades (have to press power or home button first)
- Screen wake animation doesn't work (no fade)
- On edge model night clock won't work
- Every 3 dot menu animation will present a sort of lag/no animation
- Not working properly with Samsung "Good Lock" UI

The screen fades but not works with gyroscope or proximity sensor, it just enables parts of code that Samsung deleted

Works great! battery life won't be probably affected too much if not at all. Finally something satisfying on xda
Hmm there should be a bug using this mod for only those who has Edge . Night clock won't work by flashing this

There are lots of versions of stock rom, lots of different firmwares and I can't download every single firmware for extracting, decompile and recompile framework. So I just limit this mod for XtreStoLite.
Obliviously you can try adding yourself following the guide I linked in OP.

It supports double tap and swipe up and swipe down gestures. You can customize their actions too[emoji7] but split screen isn't available in android M [emoji17]

You can't flash magisk if it has SuperSU, as the boot.img is modified. Magisk requires stock boot image.
I have tried this rom about 7 days, and it's amazing. Most perfect, except SuperSU. This ROM have an option to exchange from SuperSu to MagiskSu. It worked, and also universal safety net. But, it is confusing in installing Xpose Framework. When flashing systemless Xpose Framework sdk 23, 87.1, it's successful, but after that, I see MagiskSu fail safetynet test. I think this ROM just fit with SuperSu than MagiskSu. The MIUI Pro forum write and talk using Russian language.

You can't bypass safetynet after flashing xposed, it's kinda obvious. Removing xposed fixes safetynet bypass again.

In my R.R 5.8.5 official did not work.

This magisk module works on aex 4.6. I tried lots of things but never got color leds to work. But now it's amazing. Thanks.
I dug around in the zip file. I'm using xiaomi.eu ROM and I see that the files added in system/lib and lib64 are already there. I didn't have time last night but I'm going to see what's different in the files and make the changes manually.
EDIT: I compared the files in the flashable zip to the files already present in /system/ and they're identical so something else is missing. I'm not a dev and have no idea what I'm doing but I'm assuming I'm missing the commands in the post-fs-data.sh script in the zip. Anyone want to help me out with where these lines need to be:
chown system:system /sys/class/leds/*/brightness
chown system:system /sys/class/LEDs/*/blink
Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree but I'm thinking I need to create a script with these lines in it but I have no idea where the script needs to be in /system/...

Edit : just installed and pixel bar is working, though the color 4 dot and the home circle button overlapping each other after activating google assistant. Also I didn't see any blue accent any where.

navbar animation we cant do anything, as a1 dosent support such function.. so i had to port the smali's from original pixel
blue accent getting clash with the A1 magisk prop module tweak.. if you disable that blue accent will work... i had to check the workaround for that..

I see, so it clashes with the Night light mod then. I'll try the older version where the prop doesn't include the nightlight mod.
I've attached a modified version of Sooti's A1 tweak which doesn't includes night light and can confirm that blue accent works. I'm not the original author of the tweak. I only remove the framework files and script from the original module. You will lose night light.
Edit : Well I spoke too soon. Seems like flashing my modded module and your pixel accent and animation module will still enable night light. I'm a happy man now.

Don't miss your notification anymore. Here comes my wicked Ambient Display to make your P2 special. I made a flashable zip and a seperate App for this. use zip or apk.
If you are a Root user better flash it using recovery to make full use of this Wicked Ambient Display.
what is Ambient Display?
Ambient Display is made for AMOLED displays because the display tech only turns on the pixels required to display the minimal message or notification, using very little battery to do so. basically it shows the Clock, date and battery level.
Battery consumption
# For hand shake feature
1% for 3 hour usage
# For Tilt feature
1% for 2 hour usage
Installation Guide:
# Download the zip file
# open TWRP recovery and choose install
# select the downloaded file and install
# reboot your mobile
# open Setting you will find Ambient display
How to uninstall ?
# Open recovery file manager and mount system
# Open System > app > wicked ambient display
# Select the apk file > delete
# Reboot

I'm using it in RR5.8.5, everything is fine. Reflash, clean dalvik, cache and try it, maybe it should work.
