Try the steps listed here: https://www.theandroidsoul.com/relock-bootloader-fastboot-android/
NOTE: You may lose all data. It also may be disabled once you have unlocked. You may not be able to get your warranty back.

Error
I have used your fastboot adb trick for relock my device but unfortunately it shows

That is unfortunately about what I expected. When you unlock your bootloader, you void your warranty. That is why I wrote "It also may be disabled once you have unlocked. You may not be able to get your warranty back."

I'm ussing XT1771 and still can't relock the boot loader i tried a lot of things gamn xD

[Q] Strange thing happened ! (Dev- XT1068 Indian)

I relocked the bootloader but when i did , I got an error saying 'too many strings' or something
However, I restarted phone in bootloader and saw the status code (It was 2-bootloader status:Locked)
However i gave a 'oem lock' command again.
I get status 2-bootloader status:Locked, after relocking. (well thats ok) but i still see the bootloader unlocked warning.
I could Still flash the warning remover 'logo.bin' file
Now Im confused about whats happening! If my bootloader was locked then how could I get that warning? Rather , How could I ever flash a logo.bin file on my device?

It's no problem to unlock the device again. Just use the same code you received via email.
The bootloader-warning stays because even a relock does not restore warranty.
There's absolutely no reason to relock the device. As long as you are fully unrooted you will be able to install OTA even with unlocked bootloader.

You have to be unlocked for this. And just keep it unlocked. As I said, there's no point in relocking.

[Q] Locking & Unlocking Moto X 2013

Hey Folks,
I was curious to know if you have unlocked your bootloader, and then locked it again via fastboot oem lock command, if you wanted to unlock the bootloader maybe in the distant future again, would you need to use the same unlock key that was given to you by moto?
Thanks!

Yes the one you got in your mail.
Take care not to lose it.
I am not sure if they give it again

Ah okay great.
Thank you!
I've unlocked my bootloader but have never once considered relocking it. Why would you lock it after unlocking it in the first place? I can't think of a single benefit.

I've seen some people claim they want to be as "close to stock as possible" when selling their phone. Unfortunately it doesn't really make a difference.
There are 3 states for the 2013 Moto X bootloader:
LOCKED Status:0
Unlocked Status:3
Locked Status:2
note: Status 2 is also known as relocked.
As users we can toggle it to either Status 2 or Status 3, but we can never set it back to Status 0. On Status 2 or 3, you'll get the Bootloader Unlocked warning message at reboot (where replacing the LOGO.BIN with custom one will hide the message).

I didn't actually. I just tried right now but got the following message.
(bootloader) FAIL: Please run fastboot oem lock begin first!
The reason I wanted to re-lock it was for purposes of my phone getting stolen. I'm assuming if it was relocked, the person wouldn't get the joy of installing a custom recovery.
Yeah kind of silly. In any case, couldn't get it to lock.

There is a process to re-lock which involves flashing the stock rom first, etc. and it does wipe the phone.
So if you re-lock, you'll also lose root. (at least until you unlock, flash custom recovery and root).

Yeah. I think I realized that I would need to wipe my phone again to re-lock it. I turned it back to stock so I can get the OTA which should hopefully come out soon.
I guess once they allow us to download stock 5.0.2, I'll do a re-lock then.
Thanks though for the info.

[Q] Re-Unlock the Moto G bootloader?

Hi, some time ago I unlocked the titan's bootloader and re locked it, I tried rooting it again but I get Preflash validation, so i guess I need to unlock it again, wich makes no sense since everytime I boot up the warning shows up that the bootloader is unlocked, I have tried Motorola's website for unlocking the bootloader but my phone is ilegible anymore.
What can I do?
Thanks
Never mind, I was neglecting the spaces between the strings of numbers, I have got the unlock key already.

XT1092 Bootloader unable to re-lock. Need to get replacement

Hi, i recently ordered my moto x 2014 32gb from flipkart(just in case this info help). The Model number is XT1092. I did bootloader unlock and flashed cyanogen mod. It is my mistake i didn't backup my factory images. Now i want to return the phone to flipkart. I restored my phone to factory settings using RETEUALL_XT1092_5.0_LXE22.46-19_cid7_CFC.xml image. I then did fastboot oem lock...but it gave me two errors
1. sst failure
2. need to do fastboot oem lock begin.
I did the lock begin command and flashed firmware but it resulted in failure stating PreFlash Verification failure. Please I need to return this phone, I dont want to use it anymore but i need to first lock the bootloader. What should i do.
Regards

Does not matter, when you unlocked it was with a code through motorola's website. They know you unlocked it and the warranty is void. Relocking does not give you back your warranty. Plus after relock it is "relocked" not "locked" which is proof that it was unlocked before. There is no way to get it back to a true locked state.

You didn't purchase this device just for playing, did you? Keep in mind that by unlocking bootloader, you voided any warranty as well as your right to return this device, because you modified the system. When handling online returns, the seller usually wants 'unused' device. You could try giving it back though, but keep in mind you ruined a device even if they accept your return.

[SOLVED] Your device is Currupt, it can't be trusted and will not boot.

Yesterday, I was going to lock my bootloader to cell my Nokia 8 cuz' I needed money. Being the noobie that I'm I didn't have my unlock key saved anywhere. and couldn't get a new one because the stupid Bootloader unlock app doesn't work on Pie. I did know that locking the bootloader doesn't require a key. So I just went with it without remembering that I still had TWRP instead of stock boot img installed. So when I locked the bootloader the phone booted into a screen similar to the unlocked Bootloader warning screen. But it said "Your Device is corrupt. It can't be Trusted and will not boot." Instead. So now I have locked bootloader with TWRP that I can't boot into. I still can boot into fastboot mode but I can't do much Because LoCkEd BooTlOaDeR. The only sulotion is to unlock the bootloader with an unlock key Which I don't have and flash stock boot. So please help. You'll be literally saving my life. This is my first thread ever on the internet so forgive me If I made any mistakes:laugh:
EDIT: I took my phone to the service centre near me and they were able to fix it

Hello! I have the same problem! (((You were not interested in what exactly or how you should do to correct the error? And how much money did you get for repair?
Well you can use original OST not NOST and flash signed images (.NB1) without unlocking bootloader.

Only with service point authorization as far as I know. OST (and NOST by extension) usually show you a login prompt when you launch them. Service Points login to a server that generates a temporary unlock key, which allows OST to reflash the partitions. With the proper authorization, even NOST could flash .qlz files (as long as the images inside are official and signed) with a locked bootloader.
Since we don't have service point permission we have to patch the tool to ignore it (both NOST and the hacked OST). It will still try to request the temporary key, fail, and pass an empty value to the bootloader. To get the bootloader to accept the following flashing commands, you have to unlock it.
