Case and Screen Protector Suggestion for OP3 India

As the title suggests, I am new OP user and just received my OP3 from Amazon and currently I am looking for the best protection for the device. Please suggest me which case and screen protector I should go with. I don't care about price so expensive but high quality cases are welcome.
Also, I have some personal questions.
1. What's the difference between the Neo Hybrid and Rugged Armor Spigen Case? Which one is better?
2. Do I need a tempered glass or is a scratch protector more than enough? In either case, do share your suggestions.

OP3 Screen Protector Recommendations?

I am currently using the included OP3 film screen protector. I would like to upgrade, since it doesn't cover the entire screen and is a fingerprint magnet.
Ideally, I would like a tempered glass screen protector that covers the entire screen. However, if there are no good TGSP's that cover the phone correctly, a traditional film protector would do. Also, I am using the spigen case currently, so any TGSP would need to be compatible. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H3PEWDK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
I'm using orzly version 2. Works just fine.
I use nillkin tempered glass protector on my LG G3 and already ordered one for the oneplus I got coming, my wife's using one on her iPhone 5s as well. Very happy with it as you can imagine.

There is no screen protector this ideal atm because of the curved screen. Liked said as above the orzly v2 is the best choice at this time or the 3d curved from op.

For Comparison:
Orzly: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...7_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=YQS809H8XFZKGRNQBJ24
PLESON: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...7_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=YQS809H8XFZKGRNQBJ24
Thoughts? Could save a couple bucks but I'm not familiar with who is good. I am still rockin' Zagg invisishield HD on my N6.
OP3 is on the way. Damn it takes forever for them to ship...
I've had both Pleson, Yootech and random full screen ones from Aliexpress. They're all mostly the same but the Aliexpress ones were the worst.
Pleson and Yootech had some rainbowy effect but I could live with that. Unfortunately the adhesive has given out on the right side after a month and a half so dust started getting under there, but Yootech sends out another one as soon as they hear about it. Still wish it didn't happen though
Anyone knows where can I find Orzly v2 for Germany?
Are Orzly V2 and Nillkin CP+/H+ compatible with the Spigen cases (particularly Neo Hybrid)? How do these TGSPs compare?

I ordered both and will let you know once I get them.

I bought the OnePlus's with the phone, still using the pre-installed one.
I had a Nillkin screen protector on my LG 3 for 14 months before I replaced it, because of small scratches. And I'm not overly concerned with my phone
Just a tip! Don't buy cheap (under 4-5 pounds) nonbrand off eBay, they are rubbish!
Apparently Best Skins come highly rated. Therefore this maybe an option:

Stay away from the Pleson TGSP, didn't stay adhered to the screen for me, at least not with my Spigen Neo Hybrid case.
Anyone using a white screen protector with a grey op3?
I think the Nillkin CP+ is the best choice right now.
I also have a Nexus 6, which also has a curved edge. Most TGSPs have the same issue as on the OP3. By far the best screen protector I've had was the intelliGLASSPRO https://www.intelliarmor.com/shop-b...ss-pro-motorola-nexus-6-screen-protector.html
The don't have a PRO version of their TGSP yet, I have asked if they're going to make one. The do have this one: https://www.intelliarmor.com/intelliglass-hd-oneplus-3-screen-protector.html And an installation tip I've got from them is to put a few ChipClips around the edges and leave it overnight to get rid of the halos.
@jzuijlek, Is it compatible with Neo Hybrid? Is adhesive all over or just the sides? What is the difference between the regular and pro versions for Nexus?
I have Nillkin CP+ and it has been great. No rainbow effect at all and no issues with screen sensitivity.
I use it with Nillkin Qin series wallet case and Orzly flexicase without any problems.
Orzly Fusion case and Spigen Rugged Armor not compatible with Nillkin CP+.Big issues with screen sensitivity.Removed second day.
I have the Orzly V2 with the Poetic Revolution case. I removed the screen protector that came with the case and I'm extremely happy with both.

Need recommendations for the best screen protector case combo

I just got my op3 back from repair for a cracked screen and I do not want this to happen again so I need a TGSP case recommend. I hear the TGSP tend to lift up with a lot of cases and I have been using the OtterBox which helped for a lot of the drops except one.
I just purchased this case that includes builtin screen protector.
Its like Otterbox Defender with a lower price.

Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro

I've had my Ringke Fusion case for a while now and I wanted to try out new case like the Supcase with the buit-in Screen Protector. However, I have already installed a tempered glass screen protector on my phone. My question is, could I still use the case without using the built-in screen protector? I know there is another type of supcase case that doesn't have a built in screen protector but I just don't feel the clear back anymore. Hope someone would give me some info about my concern. Would highly appreciate if you give your thoughts about the case as well. Thanks!

I have this case. The built in screen protector looks easy enough to remove cleanly. I'd imagine the phone would fit, possibly snug, inside the case.
Do you have tempered glass installed on your N5X?
Hey, I don't have a 5x, but I have a 6p with this same brand of case, and I have it installed over my intelliglass tempered screen protector. I just took a razor blaze and removed the plastic screen protector from the case. As long as you don't rush it, it removes just fine without leaving any of the plastic screen behind. Fits great over the tempered glass too. I'm going to be buying a 5x for my mom soon cause she needs a new phone to replace her cheap $50 crappy straight talk phone, and I'm gonna be buying a tempered glass screen protector and i-Blason case for it (very similar to the unicorn beetle pro) and I'll be doing the same thing with that one.

Don't buy tempered glass protection for 1+5!!

It seems that all currently available on AliExpress (at least) tempered glass protection are flawed, because of:
1- Protectors that covers the body in full, and has some black areas: has actually glue only on the black non-transparent zones, but nothing on display area it self (so only display ages, upper and lower parts has glue), this makes it rubbish, because it will not stick well to the screen, one or two gaming sessions and it will end in recycle bin.
2- Fully transparent one, with full screen coverage: because 1+5 has 2.5D screen, those covers will not stick well on phone edges since tempered glass is rigid, this maybe can be used only with covers that overlap edges of the screen also.
3-Fully transparent one that don't cover all of the screen: those usually stick well, but only if they left about 5mm on each edge uncovered! I believe it is clear that such a gap ruins the protective purpose of the tempered glass, aside the ugly look due to gaps. (Again, having an edge overlapping cover could make it look better)
So it seems the only practical option for now is to use usual non glass protection unfortunately.
If I missed something or you have some suggestions please let me know..Some manufacturers claims that there protector is 4D, what means that it should solve all above issues, i didn't try those yet, anybody tested them?
I am regretting removing original 1+5 protection
As I bought and still use an Orzly tempered glass protector I concur with your analysis at this time. When I first applied the Orzly is was perfect without the issues some experienced but after 3+ weeks the sides must have lifted slightly due to my bumper case and dust particles got underneath next to the left/right buttons. Since then I've been religiously looking for an alternate that passes the case test but none so far have come to light.
I like the feel of the tempered glass so much that I've resisting going back to the film/plastic alternatives which I had always used in the past. I'm even considering going naked on the screen, relying on Gorilla Glass 5, but continue with a bumper case. Or the reverse, by using an Orzly but with no bumper case as I already have a dBrand skin applied. None of those options seem all that appealing. The one protector that seems to work with a 2.5D screen is the Galaxy 8's Whitestone Dome Glass but it's a crazy expensive $41USD and difficult to apply. I'm not sure even if a OnePlus 5 version was available I'd spend that much money.
I haven't had any luck with any tempered glass., due to point 2 which has been raised:
2- Fully transparent one, with full screen coverage: because 1+5 has 2.5D screen, those covers will not stick well on phone edges since tempered glass is rigid, this maybe can be used only with covers that overlap edges of the screen also.

After reading all of the reviews I decided just to leave the plastic one on until someone gets their act together and offers a proper tgsp for the OP5

Agreed with OP and all of above. I had and still have the Orzly TG protector on, but dust underneath. I want to go back to the usual plastic ones, but don't know which one covers as well/much as the original one that came with the phone. Any recommendations?

Im still waiting for my Nilkin glass protector to arrive (it's almost been a month, sigh)
If this one has the same issue as the ones I've tried before it (lack of adhesive around the edges), I'm going to try and go back to using plastic screen protectors.
I don't want to use my device without one, but I also hate how these glass protectors don't fully adhere to the screen around the sides (including top and bottom)
Biuzko tempered glass screen protector from Amazon had been working perfectly for me for many weeks.

The YouTube channel you mention is also my favorite choice for screen protector info for the Oneplus 5. He always tests the protectors with various cases. His branding of the channel can get annoying but his market coverage is excellent and vast. With the plethora of tempered screen protectors its your choice for an accompanying case that often makes a big difference in your satisfaction. Here is the Big unBox - Biuzko review.
One thing I noticed is when the Big unBox applied the Official OnePlus 5 tgsp video it had lots of bubbles on the edges that he said couldn't be removed while I watched XDA's TK review and his application looked perfect with TK giving it a thumbs up. In the comment section of that review TK said all was well even after a month of usage. I was surprised as the Official tgsp has garnered horrible reviews and comments in the XDA Oneplus 5 accessories section. The most consistent criticism of the Official tgsp is that it cuts off a tiny fraction of the screen. In fact, so far my research indicates all of the "Full Adhesive", "Full coverage" tgsp cut off part of the screen. Personally I think the reason they have a black line on the edges is to hide inevitable bubbles due to the curved edge. The thicker the tempered glass the wider the side black stripes (e.g. Orzly versus Official).
Here is the criteria I'm using in selecting a replacement for my Orzly tgsp and cheap bumper case. Note that I've already installed a dBrand skin so that skews my criteria somewhat.
Tempered Glass screen protector:
- Must have full adhesive (not just top/bottom and side adhesion) and full coverage
- Would prefer, but am a tiny bit flexible on, part of the screen being cut off (limit is that not one pixel of the notification bar's clock is trimmed)
- Must have an oleophobic coating
Case:
- Needs to be as non intrusive as possible adding grip but not greatly ruining the sleekness of the phone
- Uses a minimalist design and/or clear materials so as not to obstruct viewing of the dBrand skin I've installed
- With the case on the buttons (power and volume rocker) must not be difficult to press
So far my research has me leaning towards the Official OnePlus 5 or Biuzko tgsp with a Rhinoshield Crashguard case. My one issue is that the Rhinoshield reviews always mention how difficult the volume rocker buttons are to press. Here is the video that has me leaning in that direction as is seems to best address my criteria
OnePlus 5 best case/protector setup
I'll being doing more reading and searching today hoping to find the unicorn of tgsp/case combinations. The dust under my Orzly is driving me mad but the feel and responsiveness of its surface has me rejecting a film/plastic protector alternative.
I'm using the Biuzko as well with the Tudia MERGE case no problems.
The trick is to first put OP5 in the case, THEN place the screen protector on. It fits perfectly, and you can't mess up the alignment since it falls right in. Then I just try to put pressure on the sticky parts for a few minutes.
I've had no problems for 3 weeks now.
I installed mine the same way, but I'm using the op5 carbon fiber case.

Hello,
I recommend you the plastic screen protectors from GadgetShieldz. I made a review about it on another post on xda but to summarize, it's a bit difficult to apply but then it's great. The screen looks good and it's cheap ^^ highly recommend.
FYI, I was struggling with TGSP for the OP5 and I just gave up. There is no good alternative atm.

Skinomi makes a wet application protector in both clear and matte. I posted pics of the matte version here. Since that post, I've experienced no scratches or orange peel effect. It's also great for no fingerprints.
You can always get the Nillkin H+ Pro, but only if you are using a spigen case or otterbox. Right now I am using the Spigen Rugged Armor with Nillkin H+ Pro and the gap between the glass and the case is around 1 mm (i would say 1.5 mm if I have to be more accurate). The Otterbox case is even better but I find it too bulky, tried it once for an hour and I did not enjoy it, but some of you may like it.
Few words about the Nillkin H+ Pro.
I know there are few variants of the Nillkin glass and I have tried all of them in the past. In my opinion the best glass is exactly the H+ Pro even tho it is a 1 dollar more expensive. The glass has zero rainbow effect or halo effect, it is 99 to 100% clear. It has amazing orleophobic coating. My Honor 8 has the same glass for 6 months now and it is flawless. I am going to change my nillkin glass with the official 3D tempered glass but only because I received the rhinoshield bumper. Otherwise I would not change my nillkin. You are going to get used to the small gap in a week or so.
Don't leave the phone without a glass.
I just applied mine, best screen protector I ever had, pure quality. Quote me on that
I love the official OnePlus screen protector, it's premium & looks good. Who ever made this thread is straight up wrong. The one he recommended is no Bueno, the glass part doesn't have enhesive. Look I am a OnePlus 5 conisuer, the screen protector is fantastic ?
I have siegen case. Can I buy the original screen protector from oneplus store with no problems? Or can I suggest me something with dust proof and oil proof ?
