How to re-Enable Google Now launcher - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Hello Everybody.
I made a total reset on my mobile phone and now I can't use Google Now launcher.
Before the reset it worked correctly, but now Play Store tell me that the application is not available for my smartphone. Is there any way to restore it?
I have installed the last version of every Google App.
My phone is all stock with no root.
Please help me!

Hi,
You can always sideload any apks by enabling unknown sources in settings and then install them manually.
You can get google launcher form apkmirror. Here's a quick link to their website:

Which version did u update from and what to?
More than likely, you will need a different version of google apps. To do this you will have to flash from the cwm recovery once you hasve the right gaps. Also i would highly recomend a factory restore in settings afterword. I always factory restore after an update if going from one vrrsion to annother and not a fresh install

Did you try reinstalling the play store -> http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/1...-play-store-activity-iap-indicators-and-more/
Download .apk and install from cm file manager in the apps list. You'll need to enable settings -> security -> unknown sources before installing.
Perhaps it will work after that.
Or you can reboot into recovery and flash the gapps again. Flash gapps for the version of cm you use.
Otherwise, you should make full backups in the recovery before installing an update so you can roll right back.
Or you can wipe and do a clean install.
I've never tried installing an older update but if you want to see if that works or crashes and burns then there's an option too. That won't bring back play store though

Google Play Store "No Connection"

Dear all,
I have a LG G Flex,. it was rooted and I unrooted it using SU Unroot method.
Google Play store was working fine on wifi etc. But few days back, it has stopped working.
I tried clear cache, gmail account removal and re-add. I can't do Host file method as its un-rooted now. I don't want to do FACTORY RESET.
Any other way to fix this?
Please help!
Maybe installiert another Google play service/framework?

Tried to give it full permission , uninstalled and restarted the phone a few times, but still the same problem. Play Store not working on mi5 with Chinese dev MIUI 8 ROM

Hey guys.
I've been searching for quite a while but can't find a satisfying solution for this. I managed to update my fake MIUI shop rom to the official MIUI 8 dev rom. I am currently using the Chinese version as this was the only version I was able to flash as my bootloader is still locked.
I am now trying to install the Google apps. First way to try was downloading the Google installer v2 and let it run. Then I ended up in a loop where the Google apps stop responding repeatedly every some seconds. I then tried to factory reset and start from scratch. Same issue. I then updated the Google play store and play services from apk mirror. Now the error message is gone, but I still end up with an unusable play store.
It shows checking info now and is stuck at that stage. I tried emptying all cache and data. Doesn't help.
Do you guys have any idea?

I had to flash a dev china fastboot rom android 6 based .
Installed the 6 apks to enable google play services used them and updated them ... They auto update ( google playstore and google play services for sure) .
After all that was done i ota updated to miui based on android 7 and everything worked fine since the google play services were already there.
Thank you sir. That's what i did as well now. Luckily they gave me permissions to unlock the phone by now so i was able to flash the latest global rom which seems to work better with Google apps

Thats great for you BUT many of us are just not that skilled nor have we the opportunity to invest in all that is required in learning the skills for TWRP, Magisk and flashing ROMs etc.
Nothing offical from Xiaomi despite daily searches online by me...[can anyone confirm different???].
So we are frustrated and stuck with a Gapp-less Xiaomi Mi5 running MIUI 8.2.2 "stable-f*cknot!!" China ROM].
This is 4+ wks for me and Xaomi are so close to losing me and as a brand advocate after a 3 years, 2 mobiles otherwise happy relationship.
it is the same to me. and i have no idea
Hi everyone,
I bought my mi5 last year spring directly in China with Chinese stock rom. I used a frequently used Google installer from the official xiaomi app store. It worked perfectly fine until a month ago I discovered play store didn't updated itself since long time. It was stuck in "waiting for wifi". Only already installed apps could be updated. I tried allowing mobile data, clear caches and data from play store and Google play service, downloading updates manually for them both. But all in all it didn't help. Yesterday I tried force stop "google services framework" on an internet advice and that was stupid. Practically bricked play store "error retrieving data from server [RH-01]"
Atm I trying other Chinese Google installers.

hey thank you for your fast reply.
yeah that advice on the internet is common, but only solves if you wanna download via mobile data.
at the mean time i installed goplaycn. it seems to be the latest successful installer on the chinese market and looks pretty professional. It has even a deinstall google function.
here the list of the gapps version what it will download for you today:
google play services 10.2.99 (44-148249840)
google services framework 7.0
google play store 7.6.08.N-all [0] [PR] 149245622
google account manager 7.0
the new problem i got now: "stuck at checking info" same as this thread's Author.
i wanna try download all updates manually from apkmirror
Hi again,
i tried the manual updates and it didnt work. After checking goplaycn again I noticed an entry note. it says "for mi5 user who got stuck in checking info ... please enable in your google account installing less secure apps". I did it and it wouldnt work either or i misunderstood there something.
Anyway i found a pretty interesting thread on the chinese MIUI forum. The thread handles exact our problem on the same device and the thread was posted in march this year.
The solution is you have to root your phone and enable "setenforce permissive" and then use a chinese google installer.
Unfortunately it is completly in chinese http://www.miui.com/thread-7561698-1-1.html
i havent tried it myself, but apparently it has been successfully tested by many ppl. i will do it later maybe.
hi Tetrahybrid, did you ve fixed your problem? I have the same issue with my mi5 in miui 8.5.2. google store is locked at "checking info".
Problem Is From "host" File
Do It:
1.Root Via SuperSU SR5
2.Use Some Root Browser App Like Root Explorer,Or ES File Explorer
3.Go To /system/etc/host Delete "host"
4.Reboot
Your Problem Is Fixed Now!

Question Add Google Services in China Rom RETCN

Hi everyone, I saw there is a way to convert RETCN to RETEU, but when comes to differences it's not a game changer, because X30 Pro already supports Google Services
A. I Installed Google Play by transferring the APK of the Moto Z2 Force I already have and it's working, then request Google Play service to install
B. I installed some google apps like contacts, phone, Gmail, and more
===============
But there are the problems
1. I installed Google Contacts and added a Google account, but Contact sync doesn't work (How can I fix sync for Contacts, in Settings>Sync there is no Contacts section for turn on)
2. I saw Google Assistant does not work either
===============
Everyone knows what's differences between X30 Pro vs Edge 30 Ultra for converting, is worth it?
Give me a major reason for doing that
if you already unlock the bootloader, then just convert to global rom. if not,you must install the following package to use google apps as well:
1. you should install google contacts Synchronize app to syn contacts.
2. you should install gfs(google service framework)every time when you reboot the phone .
3. active google service framework, google play service and google play store app

It seems android auto not working in Chinese rom, I want to keep device locked and don't want to convert it, I can't see huge benefits for unlocking bootloader

You can install it as system app if you have root. There are a few guides on XDA, google should spit something out.
