Bluetooth slows wifi bug :( - Honor 9 Lite Questions & Answers

When I have my bluetooth headphones connected to this phone the wifi slows right down, I can't even stream spotify or youtube properly, if I turn wifi off and use 4G all is good, same if I turn bluetooth off, no problems with other smartphones I've tested, Smart Ultra 6, Sony Z3, Sony XA1 Ultra etc, all work fine, any help would be much appreciated.

HTC One Terrible Bluetooth range .....

Friends ...... , HTC One it seems has a terrible Bluetooth range ....... I have a Logitech BoomBox (Bluetooth spks) and a Belkin Bluetooth receiver connected to my AVR. In both the cases, when connected to my HTC One it looses audio in just couple of feets. Specially with belkin receiver. But when I tested the same with my iPhone 4, it works perfectly, till the Bluetooth's designated range of 30 feet (10 meters) ... with both Belkin and Logitech ....
so it has something to do with HTC One's Bluetooth.
People with HTC One and having any Bluetooth audio device, please test this and report if you are also facing the same issue, Or is there something that I can try to increase the range. Its pathetic, 2-3 feets at the max. I am bitterly disappointed with this ..........
Regards.
Sammy
I think that Android 4.1 had a BT flaw that was fixed in 4.2.
so this means its more of an android issue than HTC One........ any alternatives to improve this, till we have an 4.2 update
I was using bt audio yesterday and it was horrible. I did some googling, try turning off wifi before you connect to the speakers, it solved my trouble straight away. I found if the music was playing when I turned wifi back on it would still be ok. Might help?

Jiggle .... my friend, you made the day for me, how so ever strange may it seem, it did work .... ..... I switched of my wifi and then connected Bluetooth to Belkin receiver and vola!! :victory:... no drop outs and was able to use BT at full 30 feets, and then if I switch on the wifi later all is well.
Strange, if wifi is working before I connect BT, it drops and is very uneven ......... must be some bug, but anyway, solution is not as irritating as one might expect.
Thanks again Jiggle, for you input, saved me a great disappointment.
Regards
Sammy

whew you had me in a panic here. (o; I'm still a little traumatized from my asus T201 wireless issues.
The Wifi/bluetooth issue is a drawback of the aluminum body design of the One. Bluetooth shares an antenna with wifi transmit. I believe wifi receive shouldn't interrupt bt though.
Then there should also be a problem if I switch on wifi after I connect BT. ,... in which case it works. It only creates a problem, if the wifi is first on and then I connect BT. ...... which is strange
Just for information. I had 3 htc, desire hd, sensation, onex and ALL had problem with bluetooth, weak signal, using a headset with the phone in my pocket already failed. I now have a note2 and this problem does not occur, being used in the same situation. So ....

My m7 (TrickDroid, elementalX 0.11 default overclocking and undervolting) is having the BT issue whenever wifi is on, regardless of whether I connect the BT device while wifi is off, and regardless of whether audio is playing when the wifi is turned back on. In other words, on my device, BT really really sucks if wifi is connected, period. Any suggestions other than not to use wifi if I want to use BT?
Update: My router (Netgear wnr2000v3) seems to use 2.4 Ghz channels. Any thoughts about whether swapping the router with a dual-band or 5 Ghz channel router would work around this issue?

I did pick up a new dual-band router and set up the phone to connect only on the 5Ghz band, and it worked! No more bluetooth issues at home. So if you run into this issue, a temporary workaround until (hopefully) HTC/Google provide a fix is to avoid the 2.4Ghz band.
Strangely enough, my Bluetooth range keeps decreasing with each software update. When I first bought this thing, I was generally impressed with how far I could walk from my BT speakers. Not as good as my evo 4g or 3d, but decent. Better than my gs3 and gn2.
Now I tend to make it about 5 feet or so with minor cut-outs while using apt-x. If I put my hand between the signal at 10ft, I can stop it completely. If I touch the upper-right of my phone with my thumb as I hold it in my right hand, I can kill the signal as well. Very much an antennagate going on here just like the iPhone 4.

[Q]/[HELP] Xperia Z-SBH20 connection issue

Hello!
I bought an SBH20, paired with my XZ via NFC, listened to music, then disconnected the headset, using the NFC.
After a while, i tred to connect again via NFC but all i get is a 'connecting' message, BT turning on -white BT icon- but no real connection, therefore the BT turns off.
After several tries it finally connects, but it's not reliable this way.
I noticed, if i enter to settings(not turning anytihng on/off) and trying to connect (still using NFC), everything works fine: connects, disconnects perfectly, and handles the BT as it should.
I've reseted the headset, tried single and multi point modes aswell. Deleted the BT devices, then repaired, still got the problem.
Am i doing sth wrong? I want to connect and disconnect the headset with a simple touch, and not toggling the BT manually (NFC yeah...) Is this something, SBH20 is not compatible with?
(btw sony support says: "For subsequent connections between devices that have already been paired once, make sure that Bluetooth™ is turned on so that the devices can connect automatically." If it's a "must" , then what is the [email protected] use of the NFC??? Just to pair once???)
Please share your experiences! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for reading ( and sorry for my english)
I actually have the same problem using the SBH50. For me sometimes it connects perfectly fine, other times it doesn't and I have to go into bluetooth settings after which it seems to connect properly.
I have noticed that it also depends on how I disconnect it; if I remember to touch the headset to disconnect then next time when I try to connect I have more chance of it being successful. Also, when I try to connect I hold the headset aganist the phone even after the ‘connecting’ popup until I get the 'connected' popup.
These are just work-arounds which aren’t always 100% successful though so would be good to find out what the proper method is.

It is a real shame... In my case it's the opposite, if i touch the headset to disconnect, the next nfc-connect tends to be less successful.
(and i noticed that it also matters if i turn off the headset after disconnected, or not)
And what is really odd, that i don't have to do anything in the settings menu ( or bluetooth settings) just open it, and everything works like a charm...( all connect or disconnect tries are succesfull, no exception, even if i push the headset repeatedly to the pohone's back)
I'm not affraid to mod some system files, apps, maybe build.prop tweaks, but i don't know where to start. In bulild.prop there are only a few nfc related lines (tried to enable/disble those)
So i'm not alone...maybe even more people are in the same boat, trying to solve this.
Again; any related info is welcome
I also have a sbh50 but i normally disconnect by turning off the headset. I have set it in smartconnect to turn off bluetooth automatically when the connection shuts off but it doesnt always do that.
It reconnects with no issues when bluetooth is on and i turn the headset on again. I use the nfc tap only for the initial pairing.
The only issues I have is the google music skipping issue that i posted the other day and the gmail smart connect not working on the sbh50

Well, then we don't have the same issue. I tought i could use the nfc for connect/disconnect (i actually still think it is capable of that, just sony messed up sth)
Could you try to connect/disconnect and connect again with your devices, please
I'm really curious about this whole nfc story ( why does the headset have the chip/tag if it only works for initial pairing -its not a big deal to pair manually, especially that it has to be done just once-, and on the other hand: if i put nfc in the device, why not put in this functoin too- not a big deal: a proper working BT toggle, but it brings a tad more functionality-

Nokia MD-310 Bluetooth Receiver issue

Hi!
I'm loving my new Z3 Compact but ran into first annoying issue. I've been using Nokia Wireless Receiver to stream audio via bluetooth to my amplifier. It has worked well with my previous phones, iPad Air and also my wife's Galaxy S4 Black Edition that has KitKat installed.
With Z3 it connects and phone shows aptX device connected. Audio starts playing but cuts off and back constantly, almost like it loses connection every half a second or so. Tested Spotify and Radio FM to make sure it's not an app issue, same thing happens with both. I also got JBL Flip 2 speaker and bluetooth audio is crystal clear with that, no issues at all.
I'm a bit baffled because it doesn't seem to be an Android issue (Galaxy S4 working well), not an app issue and also bluetooth audio from Z3 works with other devices. Any ideas/help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi. it seems like you and me are having the same problem except I have a z2. Previously I had a Xperia sp and that works fine with the Nokia receiver which leads me to believe it has something to do with aptX as my z2 works OK with other non aptX devices aswell.
Did you ever find a solution to your problem? I found that if you turn WiFi off it helps a little, but is still un-listanable to my ears

[Q] Asus Memopad HD 7 572C K007 WiFi Bluetooth interference

Hi all,
I have bought this tablet recently. One thing that does not seem to work, is the simultaneous use of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. When I stream a radio station, it works fine until I connect to my Bluetooth speaker. Then the app loses WiFi connection all the time, and has to reconnect all the time.
I tried other apps, all behave the same. When I use my Acer tablet (same app, same location, same network, same speaker, same radio station etc. etc. ) everything works perfect, so the Asus seems the problem here.
I narrowed the problem down to interference between Bluetooth and WiFi: when I do a speedtest, WiFi speed drops from around 35 Mbps to 5 Mbps at exactly the moment sound starts coming out og the bluetooth speaker.
Is this a known issue, , anyone experience this, how couldthis be solved?
Thanks.

Hotspot not working, and weird bluetooth problem

As much as I would like to use a custom ROM on the Mi9 to fix my problems it seems like gpay either doesn't work or is extremely difficult to get working so I'm stuck with stock for now.
Since day one with the device i've been unable to get wireless hotspot working, it connects but no internet works it sometimes very intermittently will open a webpage but then says no internet again and ping will stop working this is the same for all laptops I try with it. USB tethering works fine but that isnt' an option for my work laptop. Has anyone experienced this problem? I've tried all the settings, 2.4ghz / 5ghz etc.
The next problem is bluetooth, in my car I have the car bluetooth which is just for calls and then a audio bluetooth device for music, it connects to both fine.
After I have a call in the car I lose all the audio streamed to the audio bluetooth device despite it still being connected. I have to unplug this device to reset it and then it starts playing again. This is definitely a problem with the mi9 and not the device as I've tested other phones.
I'd be grateful for any advice on this.
Thanks
