Swap soft buttons - Moto G5 Plus Themes, Apps, and Mods

Is that a way to swap these buttons. I'm rooted but can't find a simple way.

Xposed+ gravitybox

Install custom navigation bar app from Play Store.
Open and run the command it tells you to from ADB.
Reboot phone.
Open the app> navigation bar> enable inverted option.
Profit.
Doesn't even require root and works amazingly. Been using it for a few months now with that OP5T compact nav-bar

Any chance on Multitasking Gestures?

I would like to say "Good-bye" to stupid system bar,get real full screen for apps.
But we use backward key often.
Is there any app can use gestures to control backward?or exit apps just like IOS.
You can use Button Savior to duplicate some of the system bar buttons on a small dock.
I made an invisible back button, works nicely aside for occasionally covering some element of an interface. If that's a problem you can also set it to pop up with a swipe from the side of the screen.
I use SwipePad a lot too, a free app switcher, can also be set up to launch ADW with the effect of a home button.
What I like most is that after launching an app with it the Back button will bring you to whatever app you were using before instead that to the home screen.
What I'm missing now is some widget to keep track of notifications when the status bar is hidden, any suggestions?

I know I'm a bit late on this, but I'd like to throw GMD gesture control in as a suggestion. I've been using it for hiding and showing the statusbar and for the back button. It works perfectly and lets you define your own gestures as well.
+1 for GMD its absolutely awesome

I use gesturecontrol pro to hide status bar, switch apps, and run my own custom apps/actions. I would recommend it. Worth the price and supports an xda member!
Definitely GMD, bought it a while ago, it's one of the apps that changed the way you use the 7.7 fundamentally...

GMD Status Bar fix for ICS
Old message: You have to install BusyBox from market (look for some BusyBox installer) if StatusBar hiding is not working after upgrade to ICS. I'm working on solution that would not require BusyBox.
Update: after 2.5.5 no need to install busybox.

I find that the wallpaper disappears still with the upgrade though after I reload home a few times it will randomly return

the wallpaper disappering is a known bug and the developer can't seem to get around it - when GMD ends the statusbar app it kills the wallpaper app with it. Try live wallpapers.
Other that this, GMD is absolutely awesome.
Hello friends.
GMD. I have been using GMD since day one. Love it but now I have an issue.
Hide bar works. A bit slow. I'm using live wallpapers.
Anyways...
The back button doesn't work at all.
The message "back" shows.
Then "GMD Gesture Control has been granted Superuser permissions"
Then....nothing.
Nothing....
Anyone?
Home works too.
I have ICS. I have root. Odin: Cwm+root.zip. Not mobile odin. Couldn't get it to work at that time.

Are you using SuperSU as root binary? If its Superuser, please install SuperSU from market, start it, update binary. Start GMD grant permission. Superuser on ICS is hit or miss experience. While most common things work, there are some not so commonly used functions that don't work.

gmd full screen autohide softkeys immersive mode

Hi guys...since xperia z3c cant be rooted wirhout unlocking bootloader...its navigation bar can not be minimized..one of my xda bro told to use auto hide navigation bar for z3c..kindly tell me anybody have used gmd auto hide immersive mode in xperia z3c.i dnt have z3c..kindly tell me after using that either it works on z3c without root or not..i,ll buy this phone if it works..its very important for me to know this works on z3c without root???

It works fine but the usual stuff about keyboard and what not. I could see it being quite good in pro mode if you select apps that don't really require a keyboard only. I don't think it's worth using for me as I use my phone to write things, so having to many all make the keyboard appear is not worth the effort. Works fine though

I didnt get your point bro..keyboard???
I installed on one of my frends xperia z3...it freezes after some time and then no buttons are available.sometimes buttons are available but didnt work.ultimately I have to reboot the device..any issues with anyone??
I use "all in one gestures" to hide the nav bar. I've set it up like this: swipe up from the bottom right or left corner enables/disables immersive mode. That is the most efficient way to quickly hide the nav bar or bring it back when you need the keyboard that I've found. Does not require root!
It's also possible to use other gestures of course. Does not replace GMD gesture control (which requires root), but it's something!

Yes. You select gesture and set it to activate Fullscreen. When you perform the gesture you enter immersive mode. It's nice because you can quickly disable it when you need the keyboard.

hide nav bar

I was wondering if any one knew how to hide the nav bar when the keyboard was open. Where it really bothers me the most is when I'm texting.
Enjoy

You can use Systemui tuner app, from playstore, there is an option "inmersive mode", you choose navigation bar, and the nav bar will ALWAYS hide, even in home screen, but for this app to work, you need to grant permissions with ADB, the app itself guides you for doing it, look at this:

That doesn't work. It still shows when the keyboard is open
Well, I use AI type keyboard, the nav bar appears below the keyboard, and the back arrow in nav bar changes to a down arrow to hide the keyboard, I find this as a good implementation, the nav bar does not overlay the keyboard, or you just donot want to see it?

It's a good practice to read the description, not just download stuff. So you don't have to ask unnecessary questions.

Hiding The Navigation Bar On Beta 1

Are there any ADB commands (or apps) that allow you to hide the navigation bar on Android 11 Beta 1? The Navigation Gestures app (that I was using) crashed when Beta 1 began running.
The Hid Nav Bar app isn't doing the trick now either. It doesn't crash, it just doesn't hide the pill on the bottom.
"adb shell"
"wm overscan 0,0,0,-120"
"wm overscan 0,0,0,0"
this will hide your navigation bar.

So, I tried this, and it worked great for a couple days. Today I woke up and my phone was on 3 button nav. Couldn't change it in settings. Rebooted, got a corrupt device alert, still not able to change in settings. Reboot again, no error, still no dice. Unchecked this and everything works again.

Strange, I haven't had issues after weeks of use.
I use Magisk Canary if that makes a change.
Also the module has been updated recently (I only saw that today).
Might want to try again as the update states "hotfix for Android 11 beta":
Not working on beta 3 for me
I tried the Magisk module today, and it appears that when enabled, it does indeed disable the Android gesture navigation. Unfortunately, it looks like Android detects this and defaults to the 3-button navbar instead.
Going back to Android's navigation selection settings at that point shows only the 3-button and 2-button nav types available so long as the module is enabled.
Once the module is disabled, the gesture navigation option does up again as a choice.
Perhaps if the module disabled all three options Android offers, there would be nothing to default to, lol.
At any rate, it doesn't seem to work for me.

How To Guide How to remove navigation buttons and enable gestures on 3rd party Launchers?

Hello people, as I've seen unlocking and rooting is mooving along quite good. And since in each xiaomi device forum there's a topic like this.
I've tried several apps/methods (adb) to enable navigation gestures on Nova launcher specially, but with no avail. Of course I haven't tried rooting because that's not an option for me.
Currently I'm using navigation buttons with edge gestures (app), but I don't want to use nav buttons permanently as I worry about screen burn in.
So has anyone managed to enable gestures on 3rd party launchers and/or remove/hide the navigation bar? Please enlight us
EDIT: I MADE IT WORK
After several days searching, reading and trying I was about to give up on this one. I was getting acustomed to use Navigation bar + edge gestures (app) and I was kind of happy. But, luckly today I used some of my last shots to try to accomplish it and I DID IT.
Thus here's a brief guide on how to do it:
Install ADB and Fastboot Drivers from here (Select the latest) -> https://androidmtk.com/download-minimal-adb-and-fastboot-tool )
Install drivers for Xiaomi 11T Pro -> https://droidfilehost.com/download/download-xiaomi-usb-driver-for-windows
Enable Developer Options
On Developer options Enable: USB Debugging, Install via USB and USB Debugging (Security settings)
After that and by checking in power shell or the command prompt on windows with "adb devices". If your device get listed you're golden.
Open power shell or CMD on the folder where you installed minimal adb and fastboot.
Type and enter adb shell
Then on the adb console type: settings put global force_fsg_nav_bar 1
This will hide the navigation bar and it will put gestures as your main navigation method, but take into account that you should configure prior to this process another gesture app such as FNG with your preferred gestures. Other additional things you can do is set FNG as "autostart" in app settings and/or lock it in the recents view.
AFAIK Navigation bar will reappear every time you reboot your pohone, in that case you should only repeat the adb command and you should be good. If anyone knows a permanent solution without root please let us all know.
Hope it works for you as it did for me.
I checked about this last week, since I personally use Nova Launcher.
Unfortunately even with the existing phones that are using MIUI 12 that have been out for 1 year or so, I couldnt find a solution with the navigation gestures. If I find something, I will let you know.

Just made it work, check the OP if you want to try it.
It works for me too, but needs permanent solution.
Permanent solution requires rooted phone and can be done like this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/irs1eb
Another permanent solution I've been using since MIUI 12.5 update on my POCO is to install Substratum Lite (root required) and nonavbar.apk. Then open Substratum Lite. For me it applied the changes at this point and I just had to restart the phone but you might have to select the Nonavbar theme in substratum then thick the "Android System (Android [11])" checkbox click "1 SELECTED" then click "install selected". Restart and go back to this screen to "Enable selected".
All credit goes to @Veiran for this solution.

Did this, works perfectly.
Hey guys,
There's a very simple method.
DON'T NEED ROOT!
1.Turn on the Gesture Navigation and keep the System Launcher default.
2. Remove all shortcuts from the system launcher, just put a shortcut to your favourite launcher.
Now, you can use it as normal, just needs 2 click for the home
BUT:
3.If you use the FNG (find in Play Store) along with the system navigation, you can set the Up Gesture (normally the Home) to launch your favourite launcher (mine is Total Launcher) and if you do the Home Gesture 99% your favourite launcher will come up
(1% you have to click on the shortcut on the system launcher).
