The best performance ROM and Kernel on OnePlus 3T? - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

As the title, I'm now using RR Oreo latest version and EX kernel, and I am looking for the best performance ROM and Kernel. It doesn't matter that even the ROM and Kernel is battery consuming. Can anyone suggest best performance ROM or Kernel? Thanks!

These kind of questions are pointless.. But if you want performance over battery, then set your kernel to run CPU governor at performance on both cpu clusters and GPU running always max Freq. Makes no sense but just what you asked.

As mentioned above, asking the "best ROM" or the "Best Kernel". It all depends on your usage. Please do not ask such questions.

Overclock is not necessary for Note. Maximum 1.7 GHz. Goto Development section there you find all Kernels with details. now Fanco's Kernel available without overclocking your device gives you good performance. Try that.

[Q] Kernerl and Governor (not a "what is....")

Hi
I have some things regarding Kernerls and Governors, and relax it's not about "what it is".
I am currently using Huexxx ROM 3.2 on a P970 v20N.
Now, Huexxx ROM is based on the stock rom.
So my question is:
1. a) Which Governors are included in the stock ROM?
b) If there are any other, how can I Change to another one?
2. All Governors I've found are for NOVA ROM or CM7 based ROMs, are there any for stock ROM? If so, where?
Thanks
Ps. was looking on Smartass/Smartass2.
If there is one for Stock ROM, please Link

I must be blind.
real life and a forum is not that different. A student, or a any person who relies on web if need or want to know something begins in search engines, XDA is no different.
Kernel Governors, Modules, I/O Schedulers, CPU Tweaks
Governors are Android wide. not just for Nova nor CM. All android phones use them.
You mentioned nova, nova once used scripts in terminal to choose Governors:
su
nova
so zeus:
su
zeus
SetCPU and No-frills has problems with the stock ROM nor modified stock. Never use them.

[Q]What does rom overclocking depend on ?

nearly every rom has a flashable zip file via cmw to overclock cpu to definite speed but the questien is :what does rom overclocking depend on ? that makes a rom overclock cpu to a definite speed and another rom to another speed ?
What makes a ROM overclockable is its kernel. So when you install a .zip file to overclock, you are installing a new kernel, or a patch to it. So it will be possible for you to overclock. And the speed is dependable on the kernel. Different ROMs may be the same OC speed (not necessarily the same kernel, but one with similar speed configuration).
The Rom developer overclocks CPU by understanding the safest overclockable frequency by identifying chipset of mobile. Then he edits ramdisk in boot.img

[Q] Kernel with minimal battery spending???

Hi all!
I'm modding a ROM with a team and we are looking for a kernel with minimal battery spending(not like the Cyanogen's official LoL).
The ROM it's based on cyanogen but i don't know which one are compatible.
Thanks and sorry my bad english :/

Cyanogen Official eats battery on its stock cpu governor (LilGV2), but then you set it on ondemand it saves battery ALOT. So changing the governor is definately the first step to try, LilGV2 is very agressive and performanse-oriented, but it doesn't give a **** abbout battery life

What is your Interactive Governor tunables setting?

I'm currently on Resurrection Remix 5.5.9 rom. Just wondering, what's your favorite interactive tunables setting? What's your pick for "buttery smooth" or "best battery"?
Hey @Michael4407
Surely i could say that my Honami's CPU Governor is OnDemand and because of my own custom rom for this model there's no more heating on the back and with some tweaks actually there are lots of performance.
