Tips & tricks!
The BEST method to flash the sdcard with mmcbk0.img file is to use LINUX!
Windows user have no need to install Linux in pc, you can run Linux from a bootable usb-stik or pendrive by 8Gb at least
0)put the moto g5s in wall charger till finish flashing sdcard to be charged on boot test!
1) run linux, preferable cinnamon or mate versions of linux Mint or Ubuntu(for ubuntu dont use LTS version)
2)insert the sdcard in pc or card reader and opend "Disks" apk
3)in "Disks"apk select sdcard and you will see the sdcard partitions
4) press "-" to delete the partition(delete al partitions if are more than one)
5)press "+" to create a new one and name it mmcblk0, set FAT(FAT32) file format and press "CREATE"
6)press "Play"button to mount the sdcard, look to see what path sdcard have(/dev/sd??) the and close the "Disks"apk
7)go to Desktop, opend "Computer" and navigate to the location when the img file is extracted(mmcblk0.img)
8)opend the window where img file is with root(right click on window and select "opend as root")
9)in root window opend the Terminal(right click on window and select "opend terminal")
no need to type "su" in terminal, it have already root
10)type in terminal the comand writed below and dont forget to eliminate that "1" from the sdcard path,
that "1"can make the differnce betwen phone boot or not!!!!!
Terminal comands
- if your sdcard is seen like " /dev/sdb1"
in terminal aply that comand:
dd bs=4M if=mmcblk0.img of=/dev/sdb status=progress oflag=sync
-if your sdcard is seen like " /dev/mmcblk0p1"
in terminal aply that comand:
dd bs=4M if=mmcblk0.img of=/dev/mmcblk0 status=progress oflag=sync
and flashing process should start
when it finish, test the sdcard in phone and it should boot!
IF you get an size error of the sdcard in terminal you have to change the sdcard and try again!
This is the last edit of sdcard flashing tutorial, i cant make better than that!!

Download the "Blankflash" zip, (link removed)
extract it in your pc(Windows or Linux)
in Windows opend the blankflash folder and do double-click on blank-flash.bat
a cmd window will opend and it will wait for your device to be conected
connect the phone and the process should start
in Linux opend the blankflash folder, opend terminal and tipe:./blank-flash.sh and hit enter
after you will see "<waiting for device>" line, connetct the phone and the process should start
hope singleimage.bin to be good for all versions of montana and to work helping you to restore the phone

About this If dont work press the Power Button with the vol- Button and click in the blank-flash.bat on same time and wait the program recognize your board,storage,processor!

I bricked my moto G6, only white LED has blinking everytime i push power button combination and plugged in. Samething goes when i release the battery connector and plugged in, but it blinks more faster than if battery attached. Can anyone help me? What should I do? Does blank flash will make my phone back to life?

Why any of developer or user are not responding in moto g6 questions. I am also having same problem and searching blank flash file for over a month. I find one in https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/ali/blankflash/ but it gave me error. Also i am searching mmcblk0.img so that i will give a shot to boot using sd card. If i find any of solution than i will provide you as well.

With the mirrors lollinet you are on the right track but you need to go to official builds page on lollinet and find the image that matches *your carrier* (or at least the carrier the phone is as intended to be used with). As far as I know, only the official builds for your specific carrier is going to sign and install on your device, any other build will not boot correctly.

I had a similar issue about a month ago. You need to go to the official builds page at lolinet /firmware/moto/ali/official/ and find the image that matches *your carrier*
In my case, I have the xt-1925-6 I bought on the motorola site. I looked in each carrier folder on lollinet. I narrowed it down to the official builds in the folders labeled "AMZ, FI, RETUS" because they were the only ones with 1925-6 in their name. From there I downloaded all three and flashed them one by one until I had installed *the one* intended for my phone and then it booted fine. Can't remember if it was RETUS or FI that worked on my device. Either way, take a guess and flash each partition one at a time if the carrier you chose dosn't get signed and boot try another carrier image (Google "flash stock moto g6 xda" if your not sure how to flash the partitions.)

From there I downloaded all three and flashed them one by one until I had installed *the one* intended for my phone and then it booted fine. Can't remember if it was RETUS or FI that worked on my device. Either way, take a guess and flash each partition one at a time if the carrier you chose dosn't get signed and boot try another carrier image (Google "flash stock moto g6 xda" if your not sure how to flash the partitions.)

How EXACTLY did you flashed your phone? Don't tell me "Google" I know how to flash partitions with fastboot, but as was mentioned, no fastboot is available, phone only blinking white, its not possible to get into bootloader to flash any partition. So how did you flashed it?

I'm not an expert in blank flash procedures but it's not possible for the programm to flash any data (marked red in log file).
I din't know how to fix this. Maybe the reason is a locked bootloader?
Did you try the LMSA tool?

I'm not an expert in blank flash procedures but it's not possible for the programm to flash any data (marked red in log file).
I din't know how to fix this. Maybe the reason is a locked bootloader?

I believe you can enter download mode, or fastboot mode by doing the following:
1. First of all, turn off your phone – press power button and then select “power off”.
2. The USB cord must be near you, as a connection between your device and your computer must be established at some point.
3. Press and hold the volume down button on your Moto G.
4. While pressing the mentioned key also press Power button.
5. Now connect your Moto G with your computer by plugging in the USB cable.
6. Download mode / bootloader mode should now be installed – some drivers might be installed automatically.
From here you can reflash the stock rom. As long as your bootloader is unlocked, its ALMOST impossible to hardbrick your phone.

2. There isn't any Moto device which is called "sahara"
3. Sahara is a GUI tool for working with devices in Qualcomm DLOAD mode (bricked devices)!! So the "sahara_downloader" doesn't stand in any relationship to the Moto G7!!!

My XT1925-5 device was also hardbricked, after upgrading to Android 9.0 Pie and installing the latest security updates.
Also, when trying to flash the blankflash_PPS29.26 utility.bat receive
error: Sahara Download IO Error.
Email me if there are any positive results when getting a smartphone memory dump and creating a new blankflash for the latest OTA.

I have an XT1295-2 RETLA and there is no official Pie firmware for this model, so what happened to me was that I've received an update and the OTA bricked my device, what I did was:
1.- Downloaded de latest RETAIL Pie firmware from the link I've posted before.
2.- Flashed this firmware with RSDLite (I've tried to flash it manually but no luck).
3.- Nothing else, the device booted without problems.

I can 't boot in any way at all.
Fastboot doesn 't see the device.
It is only defined as Qualcomm HS-USB QDloader 9008.
Neither fastboot nor Qfill.exe does not see the device.
Here you need a working blank flash.bin, specifically for my version of the SOFTWARE (PPSS29.55-37-4-3), which will be kindly merged with Motorola's technical servers .
Otherwise, there is no way to restore the loader Chains.
