Huawei P8 Lite 2017 PRA-LX1 Single SIM to Dual SIM Conversion Tutorial - P8 Lite (2017) Discussion

After searching in many places for a clear tutorial to convert a Single SIM Huawei P8 Lite 2017 and having to resort to Non-English Forums trying to make heads and tails of the google translation, bricking my device in process and eventually (with sheer determination) successfully enabling Dual SIM, I feel this tutorial will be of use to many who are not programmers and have little knowledge in customisations. You will need to obtain the Bootloader Unlock code from Huawei website before commencing. There are many tutorials available hence I have not included this procedure in this tutorial. Unlocked bootloader is a pre-requisite although Root is not.
Note: My device was Sim Free (not network locked). Whether this works on a locked phone, I have no idea. If anyone does try on a network locked device, please leave a comment.
Disclaimer: You use this guide at your own risk. I take no responsibility for any damage caused to your device or bricking your device while following this tutorial.
1./ Download and use these files and insert an SD Card into the device.
2/. Enable USB Debugging (safer) and OEM Unlock (for FRP) from settings, developer options
3/. Power off device
4/ Put device in fastboot mode by holding Volume Down Key and plug in USB Cable
5/. Unlock bootloader using ADB:
fastboot oem unlock (whatever your unlock code is without brackets)On the device, highlight yes using volume up key and select with power key. Unlocking the bootloader allows installation of custom recovery. (The device may do an automatic factory reset).
6/. With device off, put the device back in fastboot mode as per step 4
7/. Install TWRP using ADB:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.imgDisconnect USB cable (important). Hold volume up key and power button simultaneously to get out of fastboot and into TWRP Recover (you will see a ‘this device has been unlocked and can’t be trusted” message). Keep holding those two keys until you are in TWRP Recovery. Custom recovery will allow installations of the necessary files required for this procedure.
Note: Do not at any point relock the bootloader whilst custom recovery is installed. Relocking bootloader with non-stock recovery will brick your device. I learnt this the hard way.
8/. In TWRP make a backup. This will also make directories on the SD card for where we will put the back up files off the dual sim firmware PRA-LX1C432B100. If backup fails, it should not be an issue as we always have the back up from the dual sim device in worst case scenario.
9/. Unzip the contents of PRA-LX1C432B100.zip to the directory of where the backup folder on the SD Card was made by TWRP in the previous step. The folder where to unzip should look something like this:
ROOT/TWRP/BACKUPS/57U7N19247022751 (or whatever your device’s serial number is)10/. In TWRP, Restore the B100 Backup (previously unzipped) by selecting Storage, MicroSD card as backup file location.
11/. Recovering the PRA-LX1C432B100 backup interferes with bootloader. With device switched off, repeat step 4 and enter fastboot again. It will show that bootloader is unlocked however this is not the case. Repeat step 5 and unlock the bootloader again.
12/. Get into fastboot (step 4) and Install Stock recovery using ADB:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img13/. With USB cable disconnected (important), hold down volume up key and power button simultaneously to enter stock recovery. Wipe cache partition and data/factory reset.
14/. Once Factory reset is complete, start and setup device. Update through settings, updater to the latest firmware version. It may first update B110 Firmware before it installs the latest Firmware. For this reason, you may have to update your device twice.
15/. Once update is complete, Restart device back into fastboot (step 4) and using ADB:
fastboot oem relock (whatever your unlock code is)This will relock your bootloader and reset the device once again. You should now have Stock Dual SIM Firmware version PRA-LX1C432B1XX. Your device will have your original IMEI and another IMEI with zeros. It is important to note that calls will not come through one sim if the other sim is on a call. Neither will you know about it as there will be no miss call logs.
Note: During the procedure, if you did somehow manage to brick your device or fastboot, then allow the battery to run totally flat. Could take all day if the battery was fully charged. Once drained, charge it up a little and the hold volume down key and plug in the USB cable. This should then allow you to boot back into fastboot mode. Unlock bootloader again and do what you have to do. This may take more than one try.
APP TWIN
To enable APP Twin, root your device (files included) and change the following lines in build.prop using JRummy Root Browser Classic (or any other root browsers). You will also need busybox installed.
fw.max_users=1 to 2
fw.show_multiuserui=0 to 1
ro.config.hw_support_clone_app=false to trueNote: App twin will only work as long as boot.img is not reverted back to stock after rooting. I observed flashing stock recovery afterwards still keeps App Twin.

Hello,
tried that on my side, thanks very much for the tutorial it worked almost perfectly,
I have the dual sim option, i can insert 2 sim and have the dual sim option, but I can’t use both at the same time: if I’m on sim 1 i can text and call with it but cannot do it with the second sim. same thing if I switch to SIM2 i cant text or call with sim 1.
any similar cases?

Issue with P9 after rooting - possible brick?

Hey guys,
This is a bit of a long one so please bear with me...
I have an EU EVA-L09 which was running EVA-L09C432B166 unrooted and with a locked bootloader. I decided to unlock it which I did successfully (Fastboot was showing both Phone & FRP as unlocked) and flashed TWRP on to it as well as BETA-SuperSU-v2.65.
After a few days with my stock email app not working and Battery Settings unaccessable since rooting (not to mention the warning message every time I booted my phone) I decided it wasn't worth it and wanted to remove it all and go back to stock. I was struggling to find a stock rom due to being impatient and just removed root via SuperSU app on my phone.
I found a stock recovery image which I tried to flash on to the phone using the BAT file (PASO 3 VOLVER A RECOVERY STOCK) which didn't seem to work. I also tried to do it via cmd line and was faced with "FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)." I also noticed that FRP was showing as locked now in fastboot. I did unlock it using DC Unlocker but it's still displaying as locked (after some research on the forum this seems normal.)
I tried to update to Nougat 7.0 by Wiping in TWRP and then installing Update.zip from another thread on this forum. This worked great but stupidly I forgot to install the EU pack zip which accompanied it before rebooting. Unfortunately this has now installed a limited version of Nougat on to the phone whilst simultaneously removing TWRP so I can't install the other zip.
I have tried to install the other zip and some old firmware using dload method but I always get stuck on 5%. I have also tried flashing TWRP again but I am facing the same , ""FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)" error. The error is also displayed when I try to re-lock the bootloader. The bootloader is definitely unlocked as I have checked with cmd line & the warning message is still being displayed on booting up. I have USB debugging enabled but am unable to enable OEM Unlock due to the option being greyed out (seems to be the case when FRP is unlocked.)
I can't do any updates using 3 button technique they all get stuck on 5%. I can't submit any flash commands in cmd.exe without getting the "command not allowed error."
There is a bit of hope because I can boot in to Nougat but it's very limited with no apps and no keyboard.
Can anybody help?

Hey @jcalderonv74 thank you for the response. I have just re-tried to do that on your suggestion and with the intermediate UPDATE.app in the dload folder on my external SD I get to the stage of the 3 button start up as per the instructions and Installing Update gets stuck on 5%.
I have noticed I do have access to stock recovery using "adb reboot recovery" command.
Any more ideas?

Hi, yeah I did use the rollback package @xtcislove and it would just get stuck on 5% using the dload method, and trying to flash it in command line would result in "Command not allowed".

@darrr1 yes the battery was full but still it wouldn't work
Ok just for completion and anybody who is having the same issues as I have had with the same or similar model of P9, this is how I solved it (after a day without sleep and a couple of migraines). Please note this is only to be used if you have exhausted all other, free options on this forum as this is slightly risky and costs money. It's a last resort.
What you'll need:
- HiSuite installed but closed on your PC
- USB cable to connect phone to PC
- DC-Phoenix with an account with 15 credits (15 Euro)
- The DC-Phoenix guide opened at "Method 2"
- Firmware .img file from their database by clicking "Enter Support Area" button in DC-Phoenix (EVA-AL10_M00A056_Factory_firmware_Global_Nonspecific_Android_6.0_EMUI_4.1.dgtks)
- Stock firmware as an .app file on an SDCard in a folder named "dload" (I used EVA-L09C432B182 (UPDATE.APP))
Method:
1. Copy the official stock firmware .app file to your SDCard inside a folder named "dload".
2. Remove SDCard & Sim Card from the phone.
3. Put your phone in to Fastboot (Turn off phone, hold volume(down), insert usb cable).
4. Load DC-Phoenix and select Fastboot mode.
5. Click "IMG Files" tab and locate the .dgtks file using the "Config or recovery file:" field.
6. DO NOT uncheck the boxes next to "Not erase NV" and "Not erase oeminfo" as this will delete your IMEI and other information completely.
7. Click UPDATE and wait for it to fully finish (you may see an error regarding FBlocks but it should still go on to complete).
8. Once you see it is completed, disconnect phone from PC and restart the phone by holding the power button.
9. This should load you in to a very basic firmware (it may take one or two reboots to achieve this).
10. Insert your SDCard with the newer, official, stock firmware that you want on the phone in to the SDCard slot WITHOUT SimCard.
11. On your phone home you should see an icon named "Upgrade" or "Upgrade/Update Phone" on the first page. (I've forgotten the exact name of the icon but it will be obvious to you).
12. Click that icon and it should go ahead and install the firmware .app on to the phone off your SDCard.
After following the on screen instructions you should now be back to stock firmware. I recommend re-locking your bootloader now using fastboot and your unlock key if you are trying to do so. If you go on to update to Nougat 7.0 before locking your bootloader back up you won't be able to do so without downgrading back to the same firmware that was on your phone when you originally unlocked it.)
Hope this helps somebody who is stuck and exhausted every other avenue with nothing left to lose.
Danny
I had a similar issue after doing this :- unlock bootloader...root MM....Upgrade to Nougat...root...Rollback to MM...root...Upgrade to Nougat.. borked!!!
I was left with a phone that only booted to bootloader and no recovery or possibility of flashing with dload worked.
Luckily DC Phoenix got it into a usable state where i could enter erecovery and flash Nougat again. Seems the backdoor method they use to load the OS, at least at a low level, is very effective!
There's probably a lesson here, but I've never had a phone so easily bricked....
Thanks :good:
Peace

Dear DCStreamer,
I tried to follow your procedures with my Huawei tablet but don't work: where I wrong?

(Tutorial) Recovering a P10/P10+ Brick

Here’s what you need to fix your P10/P10+ brick.
This method was tested on a bricked P10 (didn’t test on the P10+)
Bootloader already unlocked + Code (no need of twrp)
SD Card
Custom recovery (fix the entire update process)
Stock rom UPDATE.APP from update.zip and update_full_xxx-xxx_hw_xx.zip
for your P10 + P10+ (choose the one you want to install, no need to be the one that come from with your P10, it could be the most recent one but linked to your exact model)
Be patient
Extract the stock rom update.zip and update_full_xxx-xxx_hw_xx.zip, both have an UPDATE.APP,
we are going to flash the one from the update.zip first and repeat the same process for the update_full_xxx-xxx_hw_xx.zip one.
(1)Get ready your SD card
Insert your SD card on the PC, create a folder at the root and name this one dload, move the update.APP from the update.zip
to the dload folder.
(2)Boot your phone in fastboot (Hold Vol- + Power) USB cable need to be plug
Launch terminal on OSX or Windows with adb/fastboot
Write the command fastboot flash recovery customrecovery.img
(3) Before rebooting your phone, insert your sd card that contain dload folder (update.app stock rom from update.zip) inside your P10/P10+
Turn off your P10/P10+
(4) Unplug the USB cable and hold vol+/vol- 5 to 10 sec or (until you see the message this device can not be trusted)
(5)Now the custom recovery updater should trigger and your P10/P10+ is updating, wait until 100% (it restart by itself).
(6)Your P10/P10+ should now boot without problem (bootloader locked)
(7) Is not finish yet, you are going to face NRD90M Test-keys that is normal, you simply need to
flash your cust.
(8) For that, we repeat the same process than before but instead of using the update.app from update.zip, you use the one from update_full_xxx-xxx_hw_xx.zip and replace the one you have on your sd card (dload folder)
(9)reboot your P10/P10+ in fastboot (with of course USB cable plug and hold vol- + power)
There you simply write the command, fastboot oem unlock yourcode. Your phone is going to reset to unlock back your bootloader and you need to go back to fastboot
(10) after that, you reflash again the recovery with customrecovery.img using the command fastboot flash recovery customrecovery.img
and you reboot again in the custom recovery mode (same than before) there the P10/P10+ is updating again, take a few secs
(11) the P10/P10+ will restart and boot in the UI, congrats.:good::good:
P.S : This process was not possible without proper change in recovery and manipulation, hopefully it help you
to recover your brick.

Thanks, will try this tomorrow!
This sound interesting if this method is working both P10 and P10+. It mean that we can rebrand all of L09 models to L29 easily. Am i right? No more FunkyHuawei.

Not sure about the rebranding, for that you need to mod your oem info and product/vendor id.
There is no need of FunkyHuawei, I actually don't support those kind of forcing.

Question about the bootloader relock
the command to relock is fastboot oem relock yourcode.
Now about your issue, did you try a wipe cache/wipe factory/reset, go into the stock recovery and do a wipe cache/wipe factory reset.

Question about the bootloader relock
the command to relock is fastboot oem relock yourcode.
Now about your issue, did you try a wipe cache/wipe factory/reset, go into the stock recovery and do a wipe cache/wipe factory reset.

Thanks about the relock command. I'll try it when I recover my phone.
I tried that, but it's like I don't have the full system installed, I tried a "full" ROM on the first flash, but I don't think it was actually a full rom, it was too small, I wanted to try another one, but the file being over 4gb I can't even copy it to a fat32 sd card... If I find another version that is a little smaller, maybe I could try, but now I only have erecovery, can't access anything else, hope it's enough.

I'm having the same problem, can someone send me the files to the VTR-L09 C432? Or maybe the VTR-L29 if my phone supports it, I'd like the dual sim feature.
Just to make sure I'm using the right firmware.
If I find a solution I'll share it here as well btw.

Does it work for P10 Plus (VKY) ? I only see VTR oeminfo/recoveries files in the zip.
Edit : I went ahead and renamed everything in the VTR folder to VKY (except for eominfo files, since I just want to update), and it worked ! Updated from VKY-L29C432B123 to B130
Hi all,

I think it is the FULL OTA required.
I still cannot get mine to go past 5% stage.

Guys, did you flash the custom recovery before trying to update.
You really need to flash the stock recovery with the custom recovery, this fix the 5% update fail.
You can also flash recovery2 with.

Write that you need to extract customrecovery.img from customrecovery.zip. That would be understandable.
Hi,
does this work - i bricked my Huawei P10 with VTR-L29C432B113 firmware like this
Installed TWRP and i flashed magisk.zip -> that worked for a while
But on next phone reboot it says there is no space on the storage 0%
Now i cant do anything - phone is not usable..
Exept booting twrp and fastboot&rescue mode wich shows
PHONE unlocked
FRP Lock
When i try to
fastboot flash boot boot.img it says that stupid message command not allowed..
I tried to put in a SD Card with the folder dload and an update.app on it in and tried to flash it via VOL+ and VOL- but that fails
Does the provided method work or what can i do?
Thanks! chrizz

impossible to restore to stock firmware

Hello everybody,
I have a P9 that mounted twrp and magisk.
Needing safetynet pass, i decided to make a factory reset of my phone and to try again the rooting. Unfortunately i discover that Huawei had blocked the bootloader generator of codes and now i have a phone, that is switching ON, but missing a lot of apps (calculator, clock, recording voice, etc...).
Also commands like *#*#2845679#*#* to try update from there not working (not appears the hidden menu)
I tried to restore (finding my exact firmware) via dload but everytime i get error at 5%. Via OTA update same errors.. Now i have the phone in Bootloader LOCKED.
Can someone helps me to install again the full stock firmware in my phone. Thank you so much

Before Factory resetting you had to uninstall Magisk and to flash stock Recovery...
You can't apply DLOAD to builds that are not FulOTA_MF_PV (and most new builds are no more PV)...
Since you prevoously had TWRP, you did have Bootloader unlocked - just use the same code (you had to save it when you obtained it from Huawei) and unlock the Bootloader again.
If you didn't save Bootloader, this time you will have to buy 4 Euros credit and get it from DC-unlocker

If you are on Nougat, when you buy the code and unlock Bootloader, then flash TWRP and use HWOTA method to recover stock ROM
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-huawei-p9-magicrainbow-v4-t3759292/
If you never ever want to root, then you could try to save 4 Euros (not unlocking Bootlader) and
a) Settings / Advanced Settoings / Backup and Reset / Factory reset and accept to Wipe Inetrnal memory
b) Boot to EMUI Recovery (switch off, boot by pressing Vol+ and Pow) and choose Factory reset
But not sure would it be able completely restore stock ROM (apps you are missing).
Also c) Switch off, connect by USB to charger, boot by Vol+ and Power, it should boot to Huawei eRecovery. Then download (over WiFi) and reinstall stock.
But I will prefer getting Bootloader code and then using HWOTA.
When you have unlocked Bootloader, if things go wrong, you have more options to unbrick the phone if it becomes necessary

Huawei P10 XLOADER2 un-brick (NOT rollback)

Since this Huawei P10 never received a single OTA update (from Carphone Warehouse, SIM free) and was stuck on Nougat I decided to go custom ROM route. This was a HUGE mistake but I did learn a lot which may be helpful to others.
The situation goes like this:
Tried to flash TWRP, failed, tried to flash system (openkirin pie) also failed. Nothing would work at all.
Tried to re-lock bootloader thinking it would make everything stock again automagically (not sure why I thought it does on some devices).
Then got into bootloop with no access to fastboot as bootloader HAD to force factory reset but couldn't (broken recovery). After some time you'd get some white EMUI screen in Chinese where all the options are broken.
Flashed the latest version I could find using DC-Phoenix with flashpoint, this is where I really ****ed up as this firmware had XLOADER2.
Phone is alive!!!! but no IMEI and NCK lock. HCU tool, DC unlocker, etc, nothing works with XLOADER2 for fixing the IMEI or NCK lock.
Tried to downgrade to Nougat. Complete brick, back into testpoint mode.....
Testpoint mode cannot even flash XLOADER1 anymore!! I did still manage to get the phone working again, but now it is a tablet .
So in short:
YOU STILL CANNOT GO BACK TO XLOADER1 FROM XLOADER2 - EVEN if you disassemble and use testpoint mode! I have NO idea what Huawei have done to prevent this but its something evil. So if you are at this point with no IMEI then you will never have a working phone ever again. Tablet yes if you are lucky but NOT phone.
So the process (not detailed, requires Google) to make your bricked XLOADER2 Huawei P10 a tablet rather than a brick:
You'll need DC-phoenix and maybe a 3-day 15 credit license but don't by the license until it tells you to otherwise it might be a waste of money if you have problems with disassembly for example
Download HiSuite to make sure you have all the required drivers
Disassemble your phone, plug USB into the computer, ground the testpoint pin and hold the power button
You should see a HUAWEI USB COM device in device manager
Using DC phoenix you need to select a booloader mode, try all Kirin 960 bootloaders until one works. You can also select an OEMINFO update at this point too if you want
Your phone is now in some half working fastboot mode. Leave it plugged in!
Using firmware finder, find the "379" firmware (the latest one they have for VTR-Lx9) where x is 0 or 2.
Using firmware extrator, extract: xloader, fastboot, teeos, ptable (hisi_gpt or something like that), vbmeta, kernel (ramdisk)
Using fastboot manually flash all of these images, kernel may fail but its OK if it does
Now fastboot reboot, your phone will brick again. Put it back into testpoint mode
Using DC-phoenix to select a bootloader (again) use the same Kirin 960 one as what worked for you before
Use DC phoenix to flash the "379" firmware and customisation and run the update.
If ANY steps fail, repeat again to fastboot reboot, testpoint mode, bootloader from DC phoenix, then run the update.
If all partitions flash OK and it asks you to go into update mode, with the USB connected, hold vol-, vol+ and power until 3 seconds AFTER you feel the phone vibrate
Eventually you should see some more COM ports appear in device manager (PCUI and some other random one). If you can see your screen (doubtful as it will be face down) you will see update mode 5%
Again, update with DC-phoenix (same 379 firmware and customisation you did before)
Your brick should now be a tablet. Bootloader should be unlocked if it was unlocked at the start of the process.
So typing that out and given I don't have time or the load of files I had downloaded to do this there is not much detail so if you do this you need to be someone who knows what they are doing really. I don't expect anyone to actually be stupid enough to follow this.
I just don't understand what XLOADER2 did (must be at a very low hardware/bios level) so completely lock the device down even in testpoint mode. I'd imagine even their repair centres would not be possible to repair IMEI now and just throw motherboard into the bin.

[GUIDE] Downgrading Huawei P Smart, Unlocking bootloader and installing TWRP

Downgrading Huawei P Smart, Unlocking bootloader and installing TWRP
Hello! In this tutorial i will show how you can, downgrade you phone, installing TWRP + root!
Why you need downgrade? You need to downgrade security patch to read bootloader unlock code.
Lets start!
Note: This method will cost 4euro/dollar. You need buy 4 credits to DC unlocker. Just google for it.
Note 2: Backup your important files. You need reset your phone twice.
Note 3: Im not resposible if you success to brick your phone. I can always help, if you have Discord you can contact ScaryG#8540/B] or just ask in comments
Note 4: Twrp wont work with custom roms :/
Also if something missing from tutorial, please tell down. I will fix them as soon as possible:good:
Part 1. Downgrading
You need 16 GB SD card. First format it to extFat. Then download firmware from androidhost.ru, i used FIG-LX1 8.0.0.128A(C432) Download it. ( Links below! ) Then find dload folder from zip and extract into SD card (Remember to format SD Card into extFat)
Wait until it extracts. Now put your SD Card into your phone. Call *#*#2846579#*#*, locate for software upgrade and press SDCard Upgrade button. Now your phone is installing the update. Wait until installs. After install, you should get bootloop. In this part Press Volume UP + Power button, go to recovery and do factory reset. Now wait until boots. Go to settings -> about, and you should see version (128A). Boom! You have done downgrade...
Part 2. Unlocking Bootloader
Okay. Now get DC Unlocker ready, select auto detect Huawei Phones. Now go to again call to *#*#2846579#*#* and enable manufacturer mode. Try auto detect. It should detect your phone. Now simply, press the Unlock button. You should get your bootloader code, take it up. Enable developer options on your phone, go to USB Debugging and turn it on, also turn OEM Unlocking on. Then open cmd and type cd (same path as dc unlocker folder). Type adb devices It should start ADB daemon. Check your phone, you should get ADB trust popup, Allow it! Then check again adb devices, your device should be there. Now type adb reboot bootloader After it type: fastboot oem unlock (your key) ex. fastboot oem unlock 12345678. Check your phone, and press yes. Yeet! Your bootloader is now unlocked! Type fastboot reboot to reboot! Now goes kinda easy part!
Part 3. Installing TWRP
Download TWRP for Huawei P Smart. I put links below.
Move file to same folder as DC Unlocker and rename it to recovery.img
Anyways, your phone should be resetted again...
Go again enable developer options + enabling USB Debugging. Then again confirm...
Now do again adb reboot bootloader now type fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery.img Now it should be flashed. Get into TWRP by pressing Power button and Volume up. Now you can root and flash zips!
Thats it, i hope it helped :good:

Hi ! Hope you saved the unlock code somewhere
If yes, you can upgrade any way you want. Just redo 'fastboot oem unlock xxxxx' after successful upgrade. (Worked for me on EMUI 9.0.1.115)
It will unlock and wipe again..
As for me, this is the point I'm stuck at :
- latest EMUI FIG-LX1 9.0.1.120 (C432)
- bootloader unlocked
- can flash twrp, allow it to prevent being overriden, then flash Magisk 19.3 without error in the log.
After that, phone boots ok but Magisk Manager says 'not installed' and TWRP must be reflashed again.
Anyone can help further ? I've read about patched boot images to be flashed with fastboot. Are they just Magisk patched or some additional security level hacking required ?
Thanks XDA
Hi.
Just FYI, afters hours, I managed to finish the procedure and restore full root/magisk under latest EMUI 9.1.0.120 (E)
I had to use magisk uninstaller under TWRP, then reflashed Magisk 19.3
Now everything sticks :
- TWRP 3.2.0_1
- Root access
- Magisk is detected as installed and running
I mainly use "systemless hosts" with Adaway and it's OK.
Did not test any other module yet.

Hey there! I've tried downgrading but i instantly get the message "Software install failed." before it even starts to install. Any ideas?
Can't downgrade from android 9.1, everytime said Software install failed
Thanks for the tutorial. I was able to install the older EMUI 8.0 version and unlock the bootloader of a FIG-LX1 (C432). Two tips:
I was able to use a uSD formatted in FAT32, I did not need to format it again using ExtFAT
When using the DC Huawei Bootloader Codes app from PlayStore to buy the credits, select Android 7 to get charged for just 4 credits, otherwise it will try to charge for a 3-day license
Make sure the phone has 8.0.0.128A or older, and DC Unlocker 2 recognizes the phone properly before buying anything (if it is not the correct version, it will tell you to use the test/probe point method)
