Hello all dear hard working Dev's,
I've started this thread for adding new features in camera for next cyan mod update
my wish list is as follows :-
1.)Continues auto focus in video.
2.)Constant frame rate in video recording (when we go to dark areas, fps gets lowered and brightness decreases)
3.)torch mode in camera(when we snap a closer object, the image goes perfect blank/white)
4.)reduced compression in both photos and videos and increase in size(the vignette app produces about 3MB images while main cam takes only 1.5MB max)
IT DOEN'T MATTER IF tHE ROM IS FROYO OR GINGERBREAD(for me)
I found a fix on a youtube channel for portrait mode for front camera after a lot of googling. The key is to set a manual iso (idk why) while using front camera. The link to that is here

Instruction -
Enable camera2api.
Download app, instalL.
Open settings and then do the settings u like.(i use pixel 2 and pixel 2017 zsl+ ) and other obvious settings( like turning on portrait mode etc.)
After that set the MANUAL FIXED BLACK LEVEL ONSET to 63.50 and enable.
Now everytime you use the front camera you have to turn that left slider (which i think is of iso) to 100 or any other value from auto, then hdr+ and portrait mode in front camera will also work.
This is not my work , i am only sharing it.
Credits to people who made this (arnovag2 ,TCHNO VKKI youtube channel guy etc.)
This is my first post and i dont really know what to add in your posts ,(also not liking typing this much) but i thought everyone should know this fix.

Try using nexus 6p model. But you will lose face retouch.

It works, thanks! Tested on redmi 4x with MIUI9.2. Just don't go with the ISO too high. ISO3200 and above force crash camera app.
Front & Back portrait working nicely. But video recording getting some continues sound.

Bro please read the post. The versions mentioned in video is not fully functional(even described in video). Overall the points I mentioned its nowhere shown. I personally tested more than 30 Gcam mod including those 2 of video. You can test those sections even on those apps alongside other mod versions found here.
May i know whats the difference between those apk supports and Unsupported config file xml? I m on Stock Rom.. Unrooted, Fully stock. Nothing modified in my device. Which one will work fine?

Use cases of .xml file:
This can be used for a few things. For example:
Quickly switch between the best settings for low light and day light;
Use recommended settings from devs/other users for your phone;
Move between versions without loosing your settings;
Keep unstable features enabled on one config but disabled on another;

All the app mod mentioned above is for stock rom (with/without root,doesn't matter). All will work flawlessly.
What is config file?
Google Camera 6.1 versions support export/import of config(.xml) files, allowing users to use the settings of other users. You can also share your settings with other users to provide them best output. Besides this , you can quickly load different settings for different lightning conditions.
If you don't want to use any 3rd party settings, just use 6.2 versions.

Sir 6.2 version need more stability
Sir 6.2 version of gcam 04.06.19 is great overall but we need more stable version specially in night sight sometimes it doesn't work

Please clear data n cache after installation. There may be little issues in each version as all the apps are modded and not officialy supported.

DotFix for the Realme 2 Pro, by wyroczen.
Needs root and a GCam apk with fixes to reduce noise (apks from wyroczen and some from urnyx). More info on the link above.
Kindly bring gcam for realme 2 pro with no dots effect on photo after zooming and slow mo support...

I tried it with lots of time and it close immediately. I'm using 7 version without root. I have realme 2 pro.

You have to enable Camera HAL3 first in "Additional Settings->Developer Options"

Realme provided a gcam with a10 compatibility use that for now.
You will find link of that gcam in changelog of official RUI update

Guys I have tried a few versions of Google Cam and found a working version from celsoazevedo gcam portal.
The google cam version is 6.1 and works perfectly in emui 9.1 except night sightand portrait mode.

* Working - photo, video, photo sphere(to replicate wide angle images), lens blur, raw images, hdr+(its enabled but not too sure if works perfectly)
* Not Working - Night sight, Portrait (need to check configuration)
** make sure to change viewfinder format to YUV_420_888 and disable motion photo (if camera crashes after any changes and shows black screen restart phone and change config)
** Base config- back camera Pixel 3XL
Front camera Pixle 2XL
config Pixel2018 HW Zsl HDR
Great tip, FYI NightSight can work (not crash) if you enable Advanced->FIXES->Buffer fix....BUT it doesn't actually capture a picture
I can see a difference when I enable 36 frames for HDR+ else....not that much.
Also, the secondary back mono camera is never used

yeah even I realized the HDR+ mode has only a slight difference even with 36 frames, unfortunatly the mono cam cannot be used just used only by the emui cam
Having had the xz1c for more than a year, I'm still not able to find a working bokeh mode camera app. Creating a thread to see if others have had better luck or advice?
What I've already tried:
- Stock rom:
- Sony's official "Bokeh" app - unfortunately this requires two shots and a long delay, and works only at a close distance and with non-moving objects. Not useful for taking portrait shots
- Tested out nearly all variants at https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/ but none of them work -
- LineageOS (https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...rom-lineageos-16-0-unofficial-todo-t3925675):
- Snap camera included in rom has a "portrait" mode but does not seem to produce any bokeh effect at all

I you installed an older version of gcam like 4 or 5 version then portrait mode will work. I have 5.1 version installed on 1 of my phones and it works very well.
